561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 07, 2023, 11:52:57 PM
So even if slots add an element of skill for the player, at the end the most important factor when it comes to winning is still their luck, as it is unlikely any casino will implement a slot machine with a bonus which will make them to lose any money.

In other words, we should not expect that a considered skill-based slot machine will really have the same approach as what a skill-based game is supposed to be. It's hard to apply skills in a considered gambling type that is really known as a luck-based game.

In luck-based games, the skill that should be applied is how to manage properly our bankroll to lasts for a long run.

That also includes the ability to fight temptation to continue more once winning a decent amount on the way.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 03, 2023, 11:59:36 PM
But no matter what people want, the thing that matters is what the reality is, and the reality is that AI isn't really up to the mark to do this task for now, so no matter how much someone wishes to have an AI do their work, they will have to do it themselves if they want to be able to win.

I might partially disagree. AI technology is really insane that they can do anything now that humans can't even do.

The AI technology really improve nowadays and guess what, being used now at some industries.

Soon, there will be a time that companies will only rely on AI for such minor tasks.
563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 03, 2023, 11:59:28 PM
For sure if this first match would be ending up that interesting the anytime there would really be a rematch that would be arranged on which im also anticipating for this one which it wont really be that shocking..

I'm not sure with the rematch. Stephen Fulton is ready to moved up to Featherweight division and it's just that Inoue climbed at 122, leaving him with no choice but to face Inoue first. I do think that there will be no rematch here and regardless of the result, Stephen Fulton will moved up no matter what.

But let's see first what will happened as there's even no mentioned yet, even in some news, that there's a rematch clause on the contract.
564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 03, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
Yes, instead of making these fights easier to avoid conflicts in politics, Crawford's got the opposite outcome because his decision to leave the stable of Bob Arum seems to become his biggest nightmare now because he's not getting any good deals after that. I don't know what's the plan of Crawford because the last rumor months back was that he might sign under Eddie Hearn but nothing happened until now.

Oscar Dela Hoya seems interested in handling Crawford just for the fight against Spence to happen. Like Bob Arum, Dela Hoya knows that without a big promoter handling Crawford, it's hard to make the fight happened. Let's see if that will happened as there's no progress about that.

News stated that the talks are resumed between Crawford and Spence but talks will remain talks until no big development will happened.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could be the Symptoms of Getting Loss in gambling According to you? on: April 03, 2023, 11:59:08 PM
I think that maybe this question might have repeated over time but still I was Saying that I have seen that when we loose almost 50% of our portfolio in loss than we get nervous and we don't know what to do. As we work hard and make our lives better but we end up loosing our money. So I think these cloud be main symptoms. And these are listed below as these are according to me.
1. First things is that we want all in all to cover our losses in just one bet.
2. We use leverage that is more than enough to blow account in matter of minutes and that is very bad.
3. We don't know what to do.
4. We get addicted to gambling and that is bad.
5. We become frustrated and some people end up loosing their lives cause they don't have any choice.

Don't recognize the symptoms but rather recognized the problem right away.

One step of making the solution is to recognized the problem, not symptoms.

We already know that users addicted to gambling because of obvious reasons. That's what we need to solve.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 03, 2023, 11:59:04 PM
That is what most fans are thinking of him, he just needs to pursue retirement after just winning any match. Regardless of whom it was against, that's what we want to happen for him. But that's what he wants for himself? We guess so and hopefully that's actually what he wants to happen. Because if not, he might just find out that retirement is really for him whether he wins or not. He just needs to take one more shot if he's not yet satisfied with his current situation before he retires. Because if he retires and it's also a loss on his end, that won't be the best retirement ever but he has to embrace that with an open heart as not all boxers are ending retirement with a recent win.

Let Donaire just do what he wants. He was against at Inoue on his last match and the monster is really powerful at 122.

Donaire wants to check if his strength is still there if he is up against any other boxer at 122 now that Inoue moved up.

Until he wasn't beaten aside from Inoue in the 122, he will just continue to fight I guess.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the listed one here? on: April 03, 2023, 11:58:56 PM
I hope everyone would agree with this list:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • UFC

Mostly bastketball but sometimes, there are other spots that I want to bet and there's no specific.

Maybe the next one is boxing as I'm also a boxing enthusiast.

There are also billiards on which our country is one of the best too. Sometimes doing betting to at SEA games, Asian games, and Olmypics/
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 03, 2023, 11:58:49 PM
They get draft picks? Big companies will just fish it. They get new coach? Nothing changes because their roster is still an average one. Changes in the roster? This might be a good one, but when they saw a star player on that team, big companies will just get it. It's sad to see independent teams being like this for many years already, and I'm too young when this happens, but I would want to see PBA back to where it was a decade ago or even more.

Blackwater will be forever a farm term. It even better for them to just leave the league.

They don't have the capability to keep a strong player to the fact that player also wants to be paid high.

If only Blackwater is active at doing big fish marketing, it might changed their looked as a farm team.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 03, 2023, 11:57:11 PM
I just think of it. Maybe they found traditional slots can be apply with skills is because those big winners able to hit big winnings from what they think they applied skills but on reality, they just hit lucky that time. I mean, how can we apply skills at these luck-based games?

The skills that can be applied here is, managing our bankroll to last for long term playing.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 02, 2023, 11:59:53 PM
There's a rumor and report that Jeff Cariaso might be the new coach of Blackwater. This is a developing story and news but no confirmation yet from both party. Is it possible that this farm team might come to an end as a farm team?

Nothing will change if there are no changes to the whole roster.

A coach can also do nothing if they can't influence the whole management not to become a farm team. That's also a big challenge for them to keep a superstar in the future the team as top teams can offer that player a big salary compared to what Blackwater can give.

Maybe the good change will be, Blackwater's players might become more boosted as they are being under a new coach and a former famous and good player.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 02, 2023, 11:59:49 PM
That said, Crawford got not much of a choice but to wait until the time will favor him because even if he will have a fight in super-welter, he can't still meet the title holder because Al Haymon own them.

Being a free agent becomes more worst for him. I think he just keeps up instead with Bob Arum's way of managing him since in the first place, he will get that dream big fight soon under Top Rank. Now that he's a free agent, he now feels the result of not having a good boxing promoter.

For Crawford to settle a deal with Spence, he needs a big boxing promoter, not just to expect a mandatory fight given by the boxing councils.

There's no way he will return to Top Rank and the possible help he can get is to be under the Golden Boy Promotions.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 01, 2023, 11:49:08 PM
Many fans may not be interested in seeing a rematch between Canelo and Bivol due to the one-sided beatdown in their previous fight where Canelo was exposed.

I think that's the other way around. Many fans want to see that rematch because they are expecting a different version of Canelo here. Being destroyed by Bivol on their first meetup, Canelo fans want to see if a sweet revenge and comeback will now be able to execute by Canelo.

It just also makes sense that some fans want a rematch between Canelo and Bivol as that was an unfinished task by Canelo that he needed to pass. Not unless Bivol is not interested in any talks about the rematch, then no choice for some fans but to move on.

By some, you mean the minority? Because I really don't see that there's a lot of fans expect from Canelo's die-hard fans who are also wishing to see the rematch with the hopes that Canelo can somehow give a difference. I mean, that's just like wishing to see a Caleb-Canelo rematch, it just doesn't make sense anymore because it was a landslide victory.

Also, I think the rematch will probably be interesting enough and will get the people's attention if the rematch will be contested at 168 and not on 175 where Bivol is more dominant just like what we saw in their first fight. If ever this rematch will happen at 175, Canelo might've wanted to add another embarrassment to his career for the sake of money-fight.

Canelo is currently at the peak of his career. Chances of upsetting Bivol in the rematch is always possible. Canelo won't reach his current status if he doesn't know how to adjust. Bivol is on another level that's why it was advised that Canelo shouldn't pursue for a rematch right away but instead take some time and that's what happened.

Even Canelo will lose on the rematch, it's impossible that the same scene we saw on their first meeting will be shown by Canelo. Expect a changes of course regardless if the rematch will happened at 168 or 175.

And about the money and revenue? There's no problem with that as both boxer's name is already enough to attract more sales.

TNT was able to beat them during the elimination round but that is not enough going into the finals since I also believed that Ginebra improved a lot and their local players are stepping up so they can help their import. TNT should also activate their local players, they have to start playing as a team here if they wanted this championship so bad.

For me elimination game results shouldn't be considered in the Finals for having a different environment and pressure. These teams will face each other several times that will result in several adjustments every games, win or loss.

Good to see that both teams are already used on playing in a pressured environment and the turning point would be, what team will not be able to keep their strong rhythm.

Easter Sunday treat for us as the Game 1 will be next Sunday, April 9.

That’s correct, they are on a different level now and that elimination match up is just part of their history, I’m sure Ginebra are more eager to bounce back here against TNT so better for them to be ready. Adjustments after games are necessary, TNT have to adjust easily because Ginebra are used to this kind of situation, they are not the underdog here, Ginebra is still the favorite of many to win.
Talking about TNT, they have to support Jefferson if they want to have a close game here because that import alone can't outcast the complete team of Ginebra. TNT have to be more wise with their game plays and focus on their strength, this finals is different now and they have to forget the elimination round. Focus more on their defensive pattern and their offensive strategy. Can't wait for the game 1, I might be able to watch it live since its holiday.  Cheesy

TNTs chances of losing per game in the series will depend on the support of their local players as no question on their import that will surely always have a best performance per game.

If either Pogoy or Williams won't be able to provide good contribution, they are doomed.

Unlike in Ginebra that if one of their key players is having an off-night performance, there are players who can cover what is lacking.

Heat vs Mavs tonight and oh , this looks very interesting because both team needs the W and I don't see either of them backing up. With this , I do think we will have a tight battle with maybe low score because I do see both defenses putting up the work.

Heat are having 3 straight loses , while Mavs have a 4 lose streak , a win and another lose in their last 6 games.

Surprisingly or not , bookies do see Mavs as favors with odds being @1.78+.  Smiley

Let's define low scoring game in the current NBA right now. Lower than 100 points? Total of around 200 points?

I do see that both Mavericks and Heat will just play on their usual without putting up much heavily impact on defense but rather will focus on their offense.

Mavs maybe being favored on that game because Bam Adebayo is out for the Miami Heat and that's a big hole to be filled.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 01, 2023, 11:29:17 PM
since Crawford doesn't have the manager to negotiate and PBC and Al Haymon wanted to take control of everything from the beginning.

Because PBC is obviously taking care of its business, it just make sense for them to owned all the rights and demands as as they are the one who will do most of the works to make the mega fight happened and Crawford as a free agent will just wait and relax.

Since Spence is also a valuable and top worthy boxer, PBC will not rely on Crawford's status to make the fight a highly revenue match.

What I don't understand is, the boxing councils can just mandate the unification match as every criteria are now being meet by both Spence and Crawford. But instead, Crawford is the only one being mandated to a title defense so far and the worst is, not even against a popular boxer.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 01, 2023, 11:20:56 PM
But i remain skeptical. As you couldn't beat the house, otherwise they wouldn't be builded. That means that even with best outcome you would probably make less winnings then with some of the other slots out there. Those could be fun though.

In Finland we actually had physical slot machines in 80s that could be beaten by real skill, they were called payazzos. They were very difficult to beat but not impossible and technically you could have build a device that helps you but you couldn't use them without anyone noticing.

In the first place, why have that mindset to be beat the house? Does we really need to aim for it.

It's already clear to us, even newbies, that there's no way to beat the house in terms of technical aspects like if it's possible to ride on its algorithm, manipulate the result and override its built system.

Instead of thinking about beating the house, learn to take advantage once luck hits us and give us decent win. Winning big doesn't happen often in playing slots so learn to cashout some winning money if ever it's now our turned to hit it.

The way TNT played in the whole conference, I can say that this is their chance to regain the title and there's a huge chance for TNT to win the championship. This will be an exciting game between Ginebra, though its hard to predict the game since Ginebra never say die, and they continue to have this mantra.

It's not just the Never-Say-Die mantra but technically speaking, Ginebra really improved as a a team and the only team I guess in the league where everyone on the floor is contributing. Kudos to Coach Tim in fully utilizing the whole roster. Ginebra is currently playing with a much improved core players and this is the first time that TNT will face that core lineup in a Finals game.

TNT was able to beat them during the elimination round but that is not enough going into the finals since I also believed that Ginebra improved a lot and their local players are stepping up so they can help their import. TNT should also activate their local players, they have to start playing as a team here if they wanted this championship so bad.

they took a long process before it happened, they really attached fans to make sure that they will earn huge amount of money.

Actually that's not what happened. The Pacman vs Mayweather fight is expected to be the top grossing fight but end up dissapointment in terms of the supposed expectations. The hype is not that big anymore when they fight as fans want to see instead the prime Pacquiao.

But we can't compared it to the current Spence vs Crawford negotiation as on that Pacman vs Mayweather issues, Mayweather is the one being seen the main reason why it took a long time to organize his fight against Manny. Here in Spence vs Crawford, it's not just Spence that might be the only hindrance but the boxing council themselves. There are lots of parties that can be considered a problem why the talk can't be finalized.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 01, 2023, 09:08:33 PM
The Lakers are doing very well in the last games, they are doing everything they can to make it to the playoffs. The team is playing much better than they were at the beginning of the season, both their individual and team performances have increased a lot. If they continue like this, they have a chance to be successful in the playoffs.
Anthony Davis plays very well and takes charge of the team, hope he will do that in playoffs too

Yes, Lakers is being always the most mentioned candidate team to play at the play-in tournament and others even give up for them seeing in the playoffs. But with how they are showing on their recent games, it now gives hopes for the Lakers fans to see their team surviving for the playoffs spot.

No choice but to be consistent on their remaining games as the competition on the lower tiers at the Western Conference is really close that every remaining games should be a must win as much as possible.
580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: April 01, 2023, 09:00:18 PM
hopefully, the long wait ends this year.

Impossible. Regardless if Inoue will win or lose against Fulton, Casimero doesn't have enough eligibility to be a worthy opponent for Inoue. Remember that Casimero is just ranked 8th and even though he will win here against Nghitumbwa, I doubt he will be improved his ranking to the Top 3 or even the Top 5.

There are lots of strong boxers in the top ranking of the WBO Super Bantamweight and Casimero didn't even have a chance yet to face one of those.

If we are expecting a Casimero vs Inoue clash this year, the chances are slim. Maybe next year, that will be possible, if Casimero will be able to secure a fight at least 2 times a year, especially at the top ranks.

For the record, Casimero was a champion in three weight category
He has held world championships in three weight classes; including the IBF junior-flyweight title from 2012 to 2013; the IBF flyweight title in 2016; and the WBO bantamweight title from 2019 to 2022.

He did not lose his last title in the ring and he won it against the highly regarded Zolani Tete via 4th-round stoppage, Tete was then considered the boxer who can match Inoue's power but Casimero easily annihilate him, and his last loss was 8 years ago against Sultan via UD.

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/421916

He has fought and beaten and knocked out champions like Charlie Edwards, Rigondeaux, and Tete
Casimero has bragging rights to ask Inoue to fight him because he is considered a top-caliber fighter.

Pacquiao was not in the top 5 when he fought Ledwaba, great fighters could go down in rank but that does not mean that they are low-level fighters.

Mate, that record doesn't have any bearing since Casimero is now starting from a scratch. If that record is being considered then why he needs to face a non-popular and unranked boxer on his debut fight at 122?

And after even winning on that, top ranked boxers didn't have the interest to fight him since what else these top ranked boxers can gained against a low ranked boxers?

Let's accept the fact that there is no way Casimero will have the chance to face Inoue this year.
