561  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bye Bye abusive trustfeedback on: May 17, 2019, 01:36:11 AM
This forum is like Turkey, *If OP's opinion is true (I don't agree with him)

An elite group ''politicians'' (DT members) consistently accuses the majority of public (users) of being a terrorist/traitor (spammer)

All is about money/distribution of the wealth... as always

There is one person above all the most powerful/influential= theymos (RTE)

Thats the most absurd crap I've seen anyone write on this forum and I've seen a lot of crap.
DT membership is not a secret jerkoff club that's limited to someone, getting in it is fairly easy, but you must dedicate the time and effort along with the mental capacity to judge people.

I think that he means that being on DT has better chances to join a signature campaign rather than being on a negative trust feedback. It is as simple as that and I have nothing against it. It is just him that does not understand. I don't know what he wants to prove with these posts.

i don't think that is what is implied
562  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CryptoAccepted - Discover businesses and people that accept cryptocurrencies on: May 17, 2019, 01:20:28 AM
How is it any different from Bitcoin Accepted Here app? Or is it a clone of BAH? also why does your website ask for my email id? if i want to see a map of which place accepts my coins I should have the right to remain anonymous.. just my two cents
563  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring designers/developers on: May 17, 2019, 01:17:47 AM
Currently looking for a frontend mostly developer to build 2 simple landing pages for a client of ours.

Please DM me, I expect a message with your portfolio and telegram contact to discuss further. Payment is to be paid in USD/AUD, and will be billed per hour of work you do, and then paid every week. This can lead to long term employment. Please also DM me how much you are expecting /hour of work.

Scouting offers for a secondary designer as well, please follow the same rules, DM with a portfolio and telegram contact. Payment will be paid the same, and please DM me how much you are expecting /hour of work.

you need to be more specific about which technology you want. wordpress landing site? wix? weebly? or squarespace? or complete custom built? I can probably help with all of them depending on your rate. If not comfortable about disclosing your budget in this thread then send me a message in inbox.
564  Economy / Services / Re: I will find for you any lost or stolen phone ! on: May 17, 2019, 01:15:04 AM
Huh. How is this possible?

The only way someone can track IMEI's if you're the endbase that the IMEI is connecting to- I.E a Network operator for eg Verizon, or whatever cell tower the IMEI is pinging to?

Verizon (and others) sell this information. It's supposed to be used responsibly and only with the user's consent, but some malicious parties probably have access to it. The podcast Reply All talks about it in this podcast episode: https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/awhk76/135-robocall-bang-bang

You guys are also missing the part where in some parts of eastern eu and Русская Земля there are police officials that will sell you this service for a couple of rubles. Just keep some money and a bottle of Abrau-Durso ready with you when you request such thing and you're all set. But sadly, most often times Abrau-Durso and the money is not worth the phone you wish to track.
565  Other / Meta / Re: Any managers lost good posters due recent mass ban? on: May 17, 2019, 01:09:25 AM
I have lost good Hero and Legendary posters on my list because they copypasted something years ago and it seems they cannot join again for a year. Now im having a hard time picking up experienced posters. Most Legendaries aren't even that active anymore since they are probably rich from bitcoin. They are the ones that have been here through all the hard forks and know how things work. This has been a mistake. If it happened more than 1 or 2 years ago and it wasn't much I wouldn't kick them out of the campaign if they were doing a good job. It should be the managers doing the casting and evaluating case by case. It feels like the state is telling me who I can hire or not.

The one problem this merit system has sprawled up is this distinction between heroes and legendaries. when first campaigns were categorizing according to rank, remember there was no distinction between a hero and legendary. Simply because their signature spaces do not differ from each other in terms of the benefit they give.

So all this bullshit about segragating hero pay vs legendary pay is a ploy by campaign managers and campaign runners (projects) to pay less for the same service. Anyone arguing that a legendary brings more prestige or reputation to the post, then they can stop right there and kiss my ass.
566  Other / New forum software / Re: Is there a mobile friendly way to view the forums? on: May 17, 2019, 01:06:04 AM
There's a topic that claims to be mobile friendly: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4500633.0
As long as such applications are not officially issued by the forum admins/developers, their use involves a risk.
Being open source does not mean that it is 100%.
There are some browsers like Opera, Puffin, and UC that give nice and good interfaces when browsing this forum but using PC to browse this site give you better results.

That is exactly what being open source means. That it is 100% safe. If it wasn't people would be able to test the codebase and find out vulnerabilities.
With that said, I tried that app, the signatures didn't appear okay on my device... maybe because I used a phablet.
does anyone know if the new software is mobile friendly?

568  Other / New forum software / Re: What is wrong with the development of new software ? on: May 11, 2019, 09:42:18 AM
In short: If you want the software quicker, go run your own forum with it, and work to get any problems or missing features you find resolved via bug reports, etc. This would increase public interest, provide much-needed testing, and I might even hire you to work on bitcointalk.org when we're ready to do the final transition here.

Why don't you do a bounty? At the end of it, the one with the best skills and suggestions and bounty points (?) gets a full time job?
569  Other / Meta / Re: Should Signature Campaigns be moved to their own sub-boards? on: May 11, 2019, 07:52:33 AM
I was hunting for active signature campaigns to participate in.. and yes I have to agree with OP.. campaigns should be moved to their own sub-boards. It will keep the service section organized and help keep the active campaigns stay relevant and not be buried by service offerings and what not..

-edit-

I might have overspent my merits here  Grin Grin
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts to invest. on: May 11, 2019, 07:47:36 AM

Litecoin can have momentary rallies, but that doesn't mean the coin has any real value or use. It is still a piece of shit.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: May 11, 2019, 07:46:42 AM
This is one proof that we need regularization and legalization right now because without it scammer are free to do something illegal without any disciplinary action by law. If regularization and legalization will implemented scammer will going to afraid because government will have rights to make a law to punish scammers.
The question is if people will still not fight it being regulated, fine it can be legalized, but I am sure people will still have issue with its regulation, because majority of them feel that once it is being regulated by the government, they will still be able to monitor their transactions.

For me, I don’t have any issue with government monitoring my transactions because I have nothing to hide, the speed cryptocurrency payments has brought solution to slow and third party involvement is more than enough for me to continue with the system for the rest of my life. So if regulating it is what it will take for these crypto scammers to be wiped off, then I am in full support of it.

I think it is the wrong mentality that people foster when they say that "since I have nothing to hide, I can share my data" that is such a bullshit! It should be YOUR CHOICE if you want to show something or not.
Wanting your privacy is not the same as being secretive. I get really mad when I see people saying bullshit. Excuse me if my words sting.

3. Uploading of animated avatars or APNGs was disabled by theymos for sometime now so you might wanna put up a static one for members to use.
I am not sure this is entirely true because I see some users with animated avatars here. The user yahoo62278 even has it on.

Edited

That is because they haven't changed it since it was disabled. The rule is you cannot upload NEW animated avatars. Those that have already uploaded can keep theirs, that is until they change it. Almost became a limited status symbol now.

- What exchanges are missing? (we only list the ones that have closed down during the last 18 months, i.e. from October 2017 and forward)

I don't see the point of this limitation, your page is pretty useless if its going to keep removing entries older than 18 months...

Otherwise it would have been an interesting resource.

interesting how? I dont see the point of such a graveyard list.. someone please let me know..
