Hours later,
Thank you   FlatFly, Bitcoins, thank you thank you

That worked fine.
Your welcome. Great that your client finally works.

Danke!
Gerne kannst du einen eigenen Thread dafür starten.

Öh was?

...
I will either remove it, or add a similar reverse button to the lite GUI.
Thanks for changing that  Smiley
571  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [warning] bitmit.net was sold secret without telling the community. on: January 09, 2013, 08:56:45 AM
Nobody seems to know who owns compost.com
Is it a good bitmit alternative? Is there a support?
572  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy to use Bitcoin client for newbies and pros. on: January 09, 2013, 08:36:31 AM
Not sure why you don't get the menu bar... What version of ubuntu?
Try this: close electrum, type "electrum set gui classic" in a terminal and restart electrum.
Yes, open a terminal and try this! It should open a normal interface.
You can take a screenshot, save it, and upload it here: http://tinypic.com/
After the upload you get a link that you can post here.

Who owns coinpost.com?
574  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: [WARNUNG] Bitmit wurde heimlich verkauft!!!! on: January 08, 2013, 06:15:49 PM

Google Translation:
I can confirm that! All saved emails in my account are gone, and I receive strange requests about my person. Other users have reported similar concerns. Even the way how tosaki writes in the forum now doesn't correspond to his old writing style. Perhaps it wasmt a secret sale but a forced takeover?
We should be careful : -\

What do I do if want a new address to receive money for some top secret business? I do not usually reuse addresses and make sure not to link them.
You could create some new addresses using an address tool and import them into your wallet.

Why not from DeanC ?
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which client to recommend to beginners? on: December 30, 2012, 10:58:58 PM
Beginners could use the portable electrum client: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131762.msg1411225#msg1411225

Ebo has tried to recover the funds all this time but it seems the bank likes to steal money in this way (he changed to a different one since then), so he finally decided to pay me from himself.
Which one is the "stealing" bank? Pekao or WBK?

I guess this binary uses the --portable flag on startup, and this (hopefully) is the only difference.
why don't you ask slush to create an official "portable" executable file with this option?
I took the latest official slush build and made it portable using a batch file, quite simple. You can download and test it.
Yes, I would appreciate an "official" portable build from slush, like the previous builds from flatfly Smiley
I also would appreciate a slim client for everyday use with only the core features.

Note: In the settings, only select "Lite" or "Classic" as the default GUI. Do not select GTK or Text - its not (yet) compatible!
