561  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Bitcoin speurtocht in Maastricht (gratis coin en Bitpay Teddybeertjes) on: July 12, 2014, 09:43:10 PM

562  Economy / Services / Re: [$$$] UPTO 0.1 BTC PER WEBSITE REGISTRATION & PHONE VERIFICATION FROM EUROPE on: July 12, 2014, 09:09:46 PM
just keep in mind that you help someone to pass 2fa account verification.
you have no info about the site/account nor OP but the site operator has now your phone number.
you might become complice of whatever the OP is up to with the site.
the only traceable link will be your phone number (and ID if you're german), enjoy consequences.
That's exactly my thought about all of this, anyway, people need to decide for themselves if they want to take the risk or not.
As they say: when it's too good to be true, it most likely is  Undecided
563  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Revolution! on: July 11, 2014, 04:21:08 PM
Very nice indeed Smiley

I hope many people wil buy them, I already have a differend sort of Bitcoin t-shirt so I don't need it but it sure looks nice..
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is a Golden transaction in the history of Bitcoin on: July 11, 2014, 02:32:15 PM
Many people will be looking back wishing they bid higher in that auction.

two years later:

"700 USD were very cheap two years ago, now we have to pay 40.000 USD"     Wink

Definitely a possibility  Cheesy

Jumping from 700 to 40k in just 2 years span is a little unrealistic. But, i firmly believe, there will be a day, when 1 Satoshi will equal 1 USD.

What?? You think that jumping from 700 to 40k in 2 years it's unrealistic but you believe that one day 1 satoshi can worth 1 USD?

Indeed, learn some lessons from history 40k is less than 8 fold in price a year. That is entirely within the range of possibilities (albeit not the most likely)

By 8 fold, do u mean 8 times or double in every fold ?

If it is 8 times, it wont reach 40k within 2 year and if it is double in every fold, it'll reach 40k within a year !!!
Who even cares, it will be worth more anyway, sooner or later it will be 40K and sooner or later it will also be 1$ per Satochi.

565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBA: Investors should avoid Bitcoin, identifies 70 risks on: July 11, 2014, 02:26:40 PM
70 risks my ass, they are investors, they know the risks they are taking and know damn well how to cope with them.

Anyway, EBA is BS and they spread such things for they're own wellbeing.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: July 11, 2014, 02:24:51 PM
Hmm, what will I do with my Bitcoin's?

I think, that when they are worth a whole lot more they will sponsor my first car Cheesy
Like a Golf GTI or something...

Let's hope all the people who don't dare touching BTC will get burned to death when we are all rich people!
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are girls using Bitcoins? on: July 11, 2014, 02:18:43 PM
Ofcourse there will be girls/women who use Bitcoin, but in far less quantity's then boy's/men do i'd imagine.

How many 60+ age peope use Bitcoin? That's a far more difficult question to ask I think.
568  Economy / Services / Re: I was hacked (1170btc stolen) - 500btc max BOUNTY on: July 11, 2014, 02:13:10 PM
Jesus Christ that's a lot of money.

How did you lose them? Where you putting trough a transaction and did the person you send it to just plain send the coins to another addres or how? I don't understand how anything like this could happen...  Cry

Edit: That explains a lot...

Is there any way you can contact Dropbox and ask for the IP that logged in at that account?
569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 11, 2014, 02:09:58 PM
If it does hit 2000 before 2014 is out, expect it to crash back down to 1500 within 60 days.

Personally, I think it will boom to at least 2500, and crash to ~1800 within 60 days.
I agree with you..this is most likely scenario.
I agree too, but let's hope there won't be too much negative news this year as it would push the prices down again and i'm hoping to have a nice little profit in 2-3 years.

What region are you from, I don't recall exactly but I remember TV's and such being region locked.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares IPO : get in if u r smart ! on: July 09, 2014, 03:53:54 PM
Who's going to buy it after launch?

Well that's it, really, isn't it? It sounds like a great investment, but have any companies actually pledged to use it? Do many companies even know about it?

It doesn't matter one iota that there's a lot of investor interest if there's next to no business interest.

It needs to attract investors more than businesses. It's offering a bank and an exchange. The exchange using collateralized postions lets people hold BitUSD, BitGold etc. on a blockchain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BV55IrZi7g (They call it BitShares in the video but that is all part of BitShares X, the whole ecosystem which includes a lot of businesses is called BitShares now.)

Many people don't want the variance of crypto-currencies and a lot of businesses working on tight margins can't afford not to exit straight to fiat even if they offer Bitcoin purchases. 'If' the peg holds then the businesses will come.

I agree they need to do a better job marketing and also putting into a customer friendly front end that has a format traders would be familiar with.

I think the comments by 100+ post members here 'What is it?' - 'The site is quite mess' etc. those are the things they need to work on.

In their defence they're starting a whole new ecosystem of businesses so it can be hard.
My first thought was also: what is it?

That is becouse we get some difficult things trown at our heads of which we don't even know what is is, at least explain your project so everyone can understand, you know?
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Fair? on: July 09, 2014, 03:50:37 PM
Nothing is fair as long as there are people.

Why did the Sovjet union exist? Becouse the Communism would give everybody the same, did it work? Obviously not as you may already know...
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is a BUY on: July 09, 2014, 03:48:54 PM
What is the point of that website? I can't find a fuck to give about the poor design but the text is highly unprofessionally written.

Ofcourse prices go up, sooner or later.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happening with DOGE? on: July 09, 2014, 03:46:47 PM
It will die! We must all panic! The apocalipse has started! Run!

People, calm down, the worst thing you can do is panicsell, if you sell after the price has dropped you are stupid becouse;

A) You will get less anyway, so just hold on
B) Other people will earn a lot becouse of your low sale price.
576  Economy / Speculation / Re: What just happened on: July 09, 2014, 03:42:45 PM
Lol catchy title... Great title to put if you want everyone to read it xD
Haha that made me click too Tongue

Anyway, big drops in prices mainly happen when bad news has occurred somewhere about Bitcoin or that a big wolf is simply unloading his coins.
577  Economy / Economics / Re: Why does acceptance of Bitcoin has to do with the price of Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2014, 03:36:34 PM
As others have said, supply and demand.

The supply will be the same, always will be as that is set in the code.

Demand however, is ever growing but as supply stays the same price goed up.
578  Economy / Services / Re: [$$$] UPTO 0.1 BTC PER WEBSITE REGISTRATION & PHONE VERIFICATION FROM EUROPE on: July 09, 2014, 03:27:32 PM
Hehehe so wait, buying prepaid cards in Belgium and registering them here would fetch me almost 4x as much as 5Km away in my own country?

No thanks and this screams monthly subscription fee scams all around it.
579  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-04] How BTCU.biz launched 4000 Bitcoin ATMs in Ukraine on: July 09, 2014, 03:23:05 PM
How ironical, placing 4000 ATM's for a unstable currency in a unstable country Tongue

No but I hope your project takes of and that I can finally take out my first bitcoins from a local ATM Cheesy
580  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-08] Los Angeles Receives First Bitcoin ATMs in California Read more at on: July 09, 2014, 03:20:27 PM
If the drop one of these outside Disneyland I could use my stash to pay for a little vacation.  Ideally I would like to see the stores around the ATM start accepting BTC as well.
The time is about right for supermarkets to accept Bitcoin, just imagine how easy it will be to go to your store and just tap your phone and pay and don't have to deal with pesky physical coins Tongue

Anyway, there was also a guy who trew a HDD in the garbage containing thousants of BTC Tongue
Bitcoin took of when that guy bought a pizza for a redicilous amount...
