And here is how official GB mining pool looks now. Everything works fine, it was tested so, miners, you are more then welcome to mine there.

http://goldblocks.granitecoin.com/

tanx for that darkgold ...

yes - it was fully fledged on sunday morning ( now sunday afternoon here ) ...

there should be no issues with it - as a full week of testing ironed out any issues ...

and miners please note - there are TWO stratums for mining this pool ...

low difficulty ...

Code:
stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8000/

and

high difficulty ...

Code:
stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8500/

please use the appropriate stratum - as when you are renting a lot of hash ( for example nicehash or miningrigrentals ) - if you are using the lodiff stratum ( port 8000 ) - the site will know that it cannot handle the high hash rate on that lodiff stratum ...

if you set the high hash rates to the hidiff stratum - it will work accordingly ...

the 'home' page will be sorted very shortly also - which will have all this info to reassure all miners that the stability and speed of this pool is not compromised in anyway ... its on one of the best servers on the planet - and one of the most responsive systems available today - with one of the highest bandwidths ...

so hash your heart out guys - and BUY GOLD with the results ...

nice one soopy ...

all hail soopy the great ...

tell you what - when you keep your word to ME - you will have my full backing ...

but as it stands - it seems everyone here doesnt even acknowledge my part ( and it was no small one ) in the resurrection of droidz ...

but its a good thing now - as the higher the price goes with it - the better for the bagholders i guess ... Wink ...

and if you delete this comment 'soopy / droidzteamdev / so many other profiles you have' - then ill know where i stand with you and your promises ...

aaand - how did i know you were coming out of the woodwork mate? ...

im glad my presence was enough to force a comment or two - AGAIN! ...

i see you are back on the droidz thread too ... and how many others? ...

how long for this time soopy? ...

any work for granite as well? ... i mean - its only been 9MONTHS since we discussed ANYTHING ...

glad to see you back after spending all that btc ...

hi all ...

just an update ...

the pool and two stratums are running fine - and tomorrow ( adelaide australia time ) we will move the pool from 'beta' to 'full production' mode ...

ie - we will not make any further changes except for the superficial ones - and info ...

mining has quietened down a little - but that is fine ...

if you want to mine more than what your miner is capable of - then rent some hash and throw it our way ...

the official pool charges no more then 0.7% fee - and accepts any other percentage for your donation if you feel inclined to do so ...

happy mining everyone - and happy goldblocking Wink ...

Another difference I just noticed. My bat can deal with different executable names because the task monitor uses the CCMINER
variable. It works for me because my script knows the algo that is running and the exe that mines it. In your case the script doesn't
know which algo is active so you don't know which exe to monitor so you look for them all. If they are all named the same
you don't need to know which algo is running.

The geek in me wonders which method has the least amount of code and footprint at that point....   Originally I told myself I wouldn't do a second app, but after seeing how well x11evo did with 24 hours of testing.. I had to add it.

If I put a delay in the script to allow for the miners to try and get a timeout from stratum, I can do a simple check for which one is left active and know what app/algo is running from there to ditch the need for multiple loops to search for the active task.  The check would just be IF after IF after IF depending on how many apps are needed to be used.  I can also still try to integrate %path-to% type stuff... but would add some bloat to the code and require some testing of ideas.

Am I correct in interpreting your batch going one algo to the next, waiting for each to timeout before trying the next?    This was the primary reason I wrote my batch the way i did;  so they would all shoot at once...   Less time not waiting to rotate through algorithms....

Sorry if I confuse task with things like taskname and filename/appname etc... I'm tired right now and not too keen on proper nomenclature or usage is there really is any.   Played a lot of poker early last night and still haven't slept [it's now 9:30AM].

I should have pointed out that I don't use the PW string to do profit switching. I have a PHP script that uses the the web API to
choose the algo (and pool!) based on my own normalization factors and call the bat script with algo and pool parameters already
set. The bat script has a very long, two level if tree to create the miner command line variables, include the pool URL, payout addr
and options like -i. There's no doubt about it it's ugly code but it suipports multiple pools as well as algos.

As a result I start only the miner associated with the selected algo. I don't use a cascade like you do waiting for each algo to
run in sequence until a profitable one is found. One side effect is I have to kill the existing miner before switching algos.
This has caused some problems with certain cards that go into a degraded state occasionally.

Ebven though my overall implementation is significantly different than yours, when I analyzed your script I immediately realized that
using different paths but the same executable name would simplify your implementation.

i would be very interested to see this joblo ...

i would be happy to make a deal with you if its a successful operation ...

i would luv to learn how you do it ( not just compile - but actually package as rpm ) - as i have a few packages id like to incorporate - and will be happy to get a repo sorted if it pans out - for the fedora / rhel based distros ...

lets chat if you are willing to work on it ...

The packages were built mainly using the official RPM creation howto, somewhat referencing spec of Bitcoin packages, though they are much simpler (in particular, SELinux is not involved). I’ve done the packages for BlackCoin to support it and because I use them myself, but I’m not a RPM packaging expert and will probably not be interested in packaging other cryptocurrencies.

no problem ...

no harm in asking - and i received your answer ...

it is appreciated though that you have setup such a 'service' as rpm packaging for blk ...

i have been a long term miner / holder of blk and like to see these sorts of things happen ...

im still interested in putting a repo together - but its useless if the only thing in the repo is one package ...

tanx for your reply - and links ... i actually use the liberty bell packages also for btc ...

577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Granite | Simple Solid Stable | GRN on: June 23, 2016, 02:53:17 AM

that would seem like the best way to go - but its considered spamming the threads - and get in real dire straights because of it ...

that's what sigs are for ??
Wink

heh i really need to make mine look more orderly :p

id say so - yes ...

there was a guy that started to create sigs for us - but i just didnt have the complete setup nor the btc to get it organized ...

he is a good sig maker - and has been waiting for me ... so when all this is put together - ill have him setup a good one for all levels of bct and our forum ...

we have been searching for a good name for the umbrella - as digital dzyne IS the name ive gone with but seems to be a little misleading to what we do as a team who develop not only coins - but the entire ecosystem ...

but almost all the names we have been throwing around - especially ones that have been catchy - have all been registered and setup on domains - with some also registered business names ...

we need one that is unique - yet catchy - and still explains the what we do as a team - AND - is available to be registered both on domains and as a business name ... at least here in australia anyway ...

so much to do yet though - as ive started on the op as well - but under the name of 'digital dzyne' ... and its 'my' way of op - so its not very professional looking at all ...

but we do need to get it all started here - so we can really get things together ...

sigs are part of that - and so are the wallets - and redevelopment of the code for the coins and other projects we have ...

slowly but surely ... we will get there ...

btw - the pools are down for a few hours more - until can get the dash daemon compiled - to see if the dash pool will be fully functioning and solid - and whether i can get it running in the first place Smiley ...

so bear with us while this is happening ...

Official pool now has 2 stratums for mining - low difficulty and high difficulty - using ports 8000 and 8500 respectively

LOW diff port - 8000
stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8000
HIGH diff port - 8500 stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8500

http://goldblocks.granitecoin.com/

if all continues the way its been going - we will be taking goldblocks pool off 'beta' status - and on to full production 'official' status ...

this will happen sunday - as the testing and the use of the pool has proven to be successful thus far ...

this will mean it will placed in the 'cool blue' colour also - and will remain that way until PoW finishes ( at block 100000 ) ...

it also seems that the hidiff stratum is being put to good use ...

tanx for all the testing and happy mining all ...

I’ve created BlackCoin RPM packages for Fedora 23 and 24. BlackCoin is maybe the first cryptocurrency to have packages for the just-released Fedora 24, as even the Bitcoin repository doesn’t support it yet.

now THAT is progress ...

i would luv to learn how you do it ( not just compile - but actually package as rpm ) - as i have a few packages id like to incorporate - and will be happy to get a repo sorted if it pans out - for the fedora / rhel based distros ...

lets chat if you are willing to work on it ...

just so you know - im a fedora / rhel guy also Wink ... and i too get very frustrated with the lack of support in this industry for rhel based systems ... even though redhat is one of the worlds largest linux corporations ... and one of the most widely distributed desktop and backend server system - especially in corporate environments ...

id be very happy to work with you on this - not just for the blk wallets ...

580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Granite | Simple Solid Stable | GRN on: June 22, 2016, 08:46:14 AM
hi all ...

doing some backend work on the infrastructure - we would like to invite all those who want to mine to test the new inhouse pools we have for our coin projects ...

the pool site is part of the new umbrella that will incorporate all the projects we currently have - and are working on and more will be added when we can ...

website menu ...

Code:
http://pool.granitecoin.com/ ...

so if there are those wishing to mine grn ozc don - please give the new pools a test and see how they perform ...

this is only one part of the infrastructure we are designing and developing for the entire ecosystem - but it is an integral one ...

details below ...

Code:
pool menu - http://pool.granitecoin.com/ ...
pool type - mpos ...
pool algorithms - x11 and scrypt ...
pool ports - 7000 ( grn - x11 ) 7001 ( ozc - x11 ) 7200 ( don - scrypt ) ...
pool fee - 0.7% ...
miner donation - starting at 0.7% but entirely at miners discretion ...

commandline address ...

Code:
grn - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7000/ -a x11 ...
ozc - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7001/ -a x11 ...
don - stratum+tcp://pool.granitecoin.com:7200/ -a scrypt ...

and as we have now been signed on as the official pool for goldblocks - it will be added to the official list of pools we have ...

as the mining demand for goldblocks has been overwhelming - there are two stratum ports for mining ... low difficulty stratum and high difficulty stratum ... for those mining using nicehash or miningrigrentals or any other high hash rental site - please use the hidiff stratum ... all others mining with gpu or asic with a lower hashrate - please use the low diff stratum ...

Code:
gb lodiff stratum setup - stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8000/ -a x11 ...
gb hidiff stratum setup - stratum+tcp://goldblocks.granitecoin.com:8500/ -a x11 ...

these commands obviously do not include any / all of the settings you would have to mine - so add accordingly to the miner that you use ... such as intensity settings and the like ...

this is the beta site - and as such the pools are in beta until we can test them all fully to make sure that they are responsive - stable - and always available ...

so far though - with the current state of test - all have been working well ...

as always - let us know if there are any issues - and we will attend to them as soon as humanly possible ... either here in the thread - or on irc on channel #digitaldzyne ... at least for the time being until we can organize a permanent place ( with the website being designed currently ) ...

happy mining ...

#crysx
You need to find a platform, to spread the News to more people. You are popular in many different altcoin threads, so I suggest that you drop a hint in all the different threads that you visit.

tanx greedyjohn ...

that would seem like the best way to go - but its considered spamming the threads - and get in real dire straights because of it ...

im starting a new thread soon here ... it seems though - im waiting on people for the details and graphics and such - and end up delaying everything i do ... which shows as if its me that delaying it all ...

so i will start the new thread - so that there is no procrastination on my end and deal with the changes as they come ...

there are many many changes about to happen - and i need to coordinate them efficiently enough to have them work properly together effectively ...

we have been trying to get a more 'appropriate' name for the new umbrella - but digital dzyne seems to be the one that has all its options open - with regards to domains and business registrations and the like ...

thefarm is also delayed AGAIN ... which is really starting to upset me ... as im itching to get stuck into the rebuild of it and get hashing once again ...

either way - ill publish here the new thread when i can at least get some sort of coherent op done for it ...

or just do it and build on it when i can ...
