561  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: August 11, 2013, 11:26:19 PM
I never said it was all from BFL, but the vast majority is and will continue to be for awhile yet.  You are deluding yourself if you think otherwise, heh.

562  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: August 11, 2013, 10:41:57 PM

Yea, BFL users must be living under a rock if they believe the diff increase is primarily due to BFL.  Sure they take part but give me a break.   Look around, there are other ASIC companies releasing chips and units at a much higher rate than the public BFL information.   Sure, BFL could be mining the crap out of the network but that is not due to the ones they have shipped.

Care to provide a link to anyone shipping, besides BFL?

Yes, we are no longer using Gox.  Basically no one uses the Gox rate anymore, since it's impossible to get money out of Gox, except as BTC.  We are using Bitstamp as the rate now, as that seems to be in line with the rest of the exchanges, with the exception of Gox.

Stuck blocks have been fixed and paid out properly.

On a side note, I made a small change and workers will now default to PPS instead of DGM.  New users seem to be very confused about DGM and PPS makes more sense to the uninitiated and I spend a lot of time explaining it, so it defaults to PPS now to hopefully cut down on the questions as to why a user isn't getting what they expect in the beginning.  DGM is still available via the drop down.

Minimum difficulty is currently set at 2.  Expect that to rise in the near future as more ASICs come online.
567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ships a whole month of Little Singles in 2 days on: August 03, 2013, 01:58:35 AM
The first month may only represent a hundred or so miners.

It might be 10 little singles. It might be 1.
BFL refuses to say how many units have shipped. That means it is an embarrassingly low amount. If it was a large number, they would be bragging (they post pictures whenever they have more than 20 units together in one place). Josh is furious at the naysayers on bitcointalk.org, he swears at them, insults them, draws pictures of them, and probably gnaws on his mouse while he types. Could you picture for a moment Josh refusing to post proof that BFL can do 300 units a day if it existed?

Whenever BFL wants to post a picture of 50 units together, they could just hold shipments up for a few days.

I'm just going to quote this for later use so I can laugh at k9quaint a little more down the road.  Smiley

Don't want him and editing and deleting it at some point...

Minimum difficulty for the pool is now set to 2.  This really shouldn't impact anyone but the @#$# botnets.

Yeah I haven't made any changes in a long time

Ask him how his lawsuit turned out, Ytterbium.  Haha.

No, there's no way to force a difficulty, the pool takes care of it all based on your hashrate.
573  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: July 29, 2013, 05:23:15 PM
This is getting stranger and stranger.  Has anyone actually contacted these people IRL to verify a set of accounts weren't compromised or something to lend credibility to the offering?  However, asking for $500k seems like a self defeating scam, as no one with that kind of money to throw around would likely do so without some serious investigation into the process.  So why would you try to run a scam like that?

It's a bitcoin Inception scam.  Yeah!
574  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: For those wondering about the utility of MondoHub on: July 29, 2013, 03:43:39 PM
Ah.. yeah unpowered units, not the BE's.  It's a decent hub as far as that goes, haven't tried powering anything off it though.

575  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: For those wondering about the utility of MondoHub on: July 29, 2013, 01:37:32 AM
I have used all 28 ports on that hub with no problem for miners. The magnets are definitely a issue though.
576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: July 29, 2013, 01:27:26 AM
So again... Only Avalon, BFL and ASICminer are shipping, like I said. 3 vendors with working chips in the field.

Who has shipped in the past?  I'm not aware of a single shipped ASIC beyond ASICminer, Avalon and BFL.  Who am I missing?

You can say it's disingenuous since it means nothing to a potential buyer, but the same can be said for every other vendor.  My point is, ordering from KnC, et al is more risky, since you don't even know if they have a working chip.  Ordering from Avalon or BFL, it may take you some time to get the chips, but at least you know you'll actually get a working chip.
579  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BFLS.RIG - BFL Hardware mining & Sales on: July 28, 2013, 03:19:34 PM
First of all, no one but me has paid or upgrades.  I paid out of my own pocket.

Second, the vast majority of the shares were sold long before the ASICs were even announced and long before I started working for BFL.    There are a handful of shares that were sold after the ASICs were announced, but that is just a tiny fraction of the total shares and were out of my own personal holding.  Any valuation on the shares was done on the value of the FPGAs.

Fil, is your question how many do I personally have on order or how many are allocated to BFLS as upgrades?
580  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs shipping 300 units a day on: July 28, 2013, 03:02:20 PM
But with all due respect you stated a working chip today, but the timeframe from order to delivery, especially with respect to Butterfly Labs is no where near immediate. By your own estimation you claim a two month timeframe to honour the sale, within that time there is significant competition also claiming to fulfil orders made today...

So you're saying that KnC, Hsahfast, etc.. have a chip in the field that they are shipping to customers?  Not last I checked.  It doesn't matter when the shipping date is, they have no working chip.  You can place an order with them, but you have no guarantee you'll get a working chip.  There are only three working chips at the moment (4 if you want to count Bitfury's new chip, but it's not shipped yet, so it's still a bit questionable, but of the sake of argument, we'll include them).
