Form submitted. Waiting for more information about the project.

Same problem. I just use Google.
563  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining Bitcoin With CPU on: August 24, 2017, 12:04:12 PM
Mining bitcoin with CPU became completely meaningless years ago, even using pools. I started mining in the first half of 2011 and even then solo mining with CPU was nearly impossible and mining pools became widespread. Now even GPU mining does not make sense.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What opinion from people out there or people in your city about bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 11:22:08 AM
Most of the people in the city where I live never heard about bitcoins. I'm a software developer and have heard a conversation about bitcoins among my colleagues, but almost anyone outside the IT is completely ignorant about it.

Watching closely and waiting for the airdrop details  Smiley
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: August 23, 2017, 08:58:25 AM
I buy some small amounts at the dips.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2017, 06:33:55 AM
Because I tend to look at the big picture. When I first heard about bitcoin, it was about $1. Now it is around $4000, a rise for more than three orders of magnitude in six years. Most of my coins were acquired by mining, almost for free. A dip, say, from $4500 to $4000 is almost nothing for me, because I have all reasons to expect bitcoin rising to a new maximum after.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: August 23, 2017, 06:22:53 AM
I've heard about two guys who recently left their jobs to organize a mining farm from Ethereum. Personally, I'm not going to quit my job as a software engineer unless bitcoin rises to much higher levels allowing me to live independently using my savings. I would not rely on mining and/or trading.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors on: August 22, 2017, 07:39:54 PM
Yes, translating fiction is a different beast as it's more to it than just translating words. Usually it needs an editor to go over the translated version. Most translators team up with one when translating fiction.

Exactly. I hope one day I'll be in such a team, translating my own works and maybe works of some of my friends.

Have you ever asked yourself, that maybe we are the aliens to this planet from long ago, we may as well be in that the environmental and ecological destruction we have placed upon 'our' planet.

Panspermia hypothesis? It seems to be unlikely now, because most recent findings show that life on Earth appeared quite early and we obviously share the common ancestor with all forms of life on Earth. On the other hand, a noticeable impact of humans on the environment is very recent.

Hi Alexander and thank you for your message. Translating books to/from a language is an important part of our platform. We won't stop just to English, but to all/most languages.

That's good. I did a lot of translations of technical texts (manuals and so on) from English and I also tried to translate some SF. As for translating to English, my proficiency with the language is probably not enough for translating fiction, but I am definitely interested in seeing some of my creations in English.

I do not believe in aliens, I always rely on science. There is an almost 100% chance of extraterrestrial life somewhere in our galaxy, let alone in the whole universe. Intelligent life, unlike simple life forms, may be rare.

Yes, but a small amount, just to get a taste of it.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Authorship - Making the Internet More Free and Accessible For Authors on: August 22, 2017, 01:40:59 PM
An interesting project. I am an author myself, but it is just a hobby, I do not even try to publish, I put it on the Internet. However, my native language (in which I write) it not English. I have some plans for translating a few of my short stories in the future, but nothing specific yet. Do you have any interest and/or plans for non-English authors and readers?
575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is dieing? on: August 22, 2017, 07:39:10 AM
When bitcoin price crashed from $31 to $2 six year ago, a lot of people thought it is probably dead. I've been one of them, but fortunately I did not sell (I mined, not bought the coins, and then the sum was tiny anyway). Then I've seen the price climb to $100 in 2013, and now it is $3800. Does not look like dying to me...
576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has soared to new Heights , Now the Crash is starting , R U READY????? on: August 22, 2017, 06:12:04 AM
Crash? Looks like an inevitable and more or less expected correction after such rise. Month ago there was another 'crash' when the price of bitcoin was half the current levels. There are no significant negative events, so I expect bitcoin to continue the upward trend.
577  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is Faucet a waste of time? Y/N on: August 20, 2017, 09:54:10 AM
In my opinion, faucets are waste of time. I have a regular job and there are much better things to do with my spare time.
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: August 20, 2017, 08:31:14 AM
Initially, six or five years ago, it was mostly fun, because the value of bitcoins I have was quite small. Now it became an investment.
579  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you get into Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2017, 06:07:19 PM
Once upon a time I stumbled upon an article at an IT web site, "Bitcoin online currency reached parity with dollar". "That's curious", I thought. It was February 2011...
580  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you hold BTC? on: August 19, 2017, 11:58:46 AM
Yes, I do. For me it's primarily an investment.
