561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 15, 2024, 02:16:02 PM
Hear you clearly. Like you, I started gambling with a friend, became passionate, and eventually fell. Im among those who've traveled it. I initially thought gambling may be a good method to get money, but I learned how risky it is.
It happens just like the drinking problem. If not kept in moderation it can bring in bad news. But in a controlled manner, it can be fun and a good way to spend some time and money with friends.

Quote
But I've learned to enjoy gambling as fun, not a source of revenue. Risk and uncertainty excite. My approach is lighthearted and I set hard limitations to avoid financial depression. Gambling is about the thrill of the unknown, so remember that. By doing so, we avoid its risks.
Indeed it is the nature of players to hunt the thrill and gambling is one of the easily accessible avenues of getting that thrill. But do spend time to play some sports, undertake some adventure hikes and travelling - these things have an effect on the clearing of your physical and mental health if gambling for too long.

Gambling should not be the one controlling your life, rather you should be the one doing that.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 15, 2024, 02:11:15 PM
I don't think they mean it literally but it is then I stand corrected. But in the persoective of gambling, it is really has a point. It's like us doing nothing and then surely nothing will happen. We couldn't experience luck unless we try to gamble.
You can twist a situation to show that gambling would have been something good to encourage people to gamble. But I never support this.

Proverbs and old sayings have the chance of being mis-interpreted and people usually take these words with high hopes of being wise words. They are not always like that and the situation is what is more important. A broke person should not attempt to gamble their last pennies but work hard to earn money and save it.

Some proverbs might be correct in a specific situation but horrible in another. You have to use your conscience to determine that.
563  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ethercrash.io site is down?? on: February 15, 2024, 02:07:12 PM
This is not the first time that Ethercrash has been in trouble. Previously one of their cofounders ran away with some investors money during another blackout.

I would suggest the OP to wait it out but assume the bad because these things are not uncommon in crypto. Their representatives on this site have been away for more than 4years now.

This was their oirginal ANN thread e͏t͏h͏e͏r͏c͏r͏a͏s͏h.ισ | 0.75% average house edge | ETH & BTC Accepted 🏅

Offtopic:  you might want to go on chatboxes of sites like Bustabit - a lot of the users there like Gumhead and FotherMucker are very chatty and often have info about these neighboring crash sites.

This was the previous event that happened
564  Local / Mining (India) / Re: is it profitable to mine in India ? on: February 14, 2024, 02:32:14 PM
how it turned out?
I dont think the OP is available to reply anymore.

But to be very honest, getting an ROI from mining in India is tough considering the ambient temp in most states to be on the warmer site, non-cheap electricity and the cost of getting the miners from outside India.

Are you from India? If so do introduce yourself in the main section and tell us about your crypto journey if any.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 14, 2024, 02:28:55 PM
Second, if you lose and don't have nothing left, it means you need to stop gamble.
You can see here how the casino is built to exploit the human nature. The temptation of money fuels the greed, then comes the attempt to win which leads to a loss and fuels the anger which brings the next bet. In this manner one bet leads to another the chase of losses is not realized soon enough.

Being able to manage these things, such a person would not become an addicted but a diligent gambler who would look for methods to be the house instead of actually being the player.

But if the person plays into the trap of emotions, they will lose more than they can ever imagine.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: February 14, 2024, 02:17:16 PM
It is associated with being an adult and to be able to take the responsibility of money on your own without the need of the guardian.

But to be honest, I would not get the <18year old near gambling scene but teach them about the good and bad about gambling instead. Many troubled teens have the tendency of getting addicted to gambling and this can ruin their life so as experienced adults, it is our job to make them aware and teach them the correct way to manage their finances.

It is tough to keep gambling in the "fun" territory for <18 teens. Often gets into the drugs and sex scene too.
567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: February 14, 2024, 02:13:05 PM
The larger the funds used, the easier trading will be, because with a small target percentage we can already get a large fiat nominal value.
True, but to be able to make that significant a change, you need a large capital and putting that to a single trade can make the trader sweat.

But people fail in trading not because of the capital but because of their mindset and their impatience. If the mindset is a long term one with no panic selling, the long term survival in the game is high. But with the short term and day trading type of "games" that some newbies start specially after watching some influencers on youtube, they will get washed out in a couple of days.
568  Economy / Economics / Re: My life plan for wealth and btc good idea on: February 14, 2024, 02:09:21 PM
No one has an insider information here OP and it's most likely that if there's someone that's got an insider trading,
True, no idea what objective the OP actually has for but people giving out such info will never actually have that information, they may just be attempting to scam a newbie.

Accurately predicting the price of bitcoin if possible then such people would have already become millionaires and trading would be too easy for them, almost like using a cheat code to beat the game. In other words, its not possible in reality.

Dont be of the mindset of paying someone to get rich yourself, you will be paying, not getting anything in return and learn trading yourself and then you will realize your mistake here.
569  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading psychology and TA on: February 13, 2024, 02:00:27 PM
Its the mindset - being a person who does not sell when the market is falling and does not buy when the market is rising is important. The majority of people who enter crypto are with a get-rich-quick mindset, because of which they will follow this mistaken line of trading.

If your mindset is not like that you will be able to make profits be it short or long term, provided you keep yourself limited to bitcoin. I cant talk about altcoins, they are not my cup of tea.

TA is going to show you the trend, but do not depend on TA fully, the market has a bad habit of reversing itself before you know it.
570  Economy / Economics / Re: Pay discrimination on: February 13, 2024, 01:50:45 PM
Jobs that are easier to obtain get paid less due to the fact that almost anyone can do them. Too much competition is bad for job pay.

The market regulates itself. At least that is how I see it.
This is something that everyone does to realize or they realize but they dont accept it. Easier to get jobs are plenty, gig workers are in huge number does not mean that their job pays huge as per the amount of physical labor they have to undergo or mental pressure they have to sustain and the lack of job security.

That person who worked their youth off earning a degree and is now using it to apply their skills and get paid, deserves it too and hence the pay discrimination will always be present.

Hence people should not be lazy and work hard to find their passion and pursue it to be able to reach a job that is keeping their satisfied and paid.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress? on: February 13, 2024, 01:42:56 PM
Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress?
No because I rarely gamble nowadays but invest in casino bankroll, which in another form can be accepted as a mode of gambling too because I am being the house and I am exposing my invested money to the high rollers chance of winning form. I havent been tracking them but they are currently giving my profits.

My previous investment on cryptogames yielded 50% over a year. My current investments are running in positives, though I will not declare the exact numbers.

For gambling addicts, these type of things are what they are allergic to. Grin
572  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun on: February 13, 2024, 01:37:44 PM
Has there already been accusations/cases started against BlackJack.Fun, saying that they refuse to send withdrawals to their users' wallets? That would not be good for their reputation, and that especially becomes worse if they're true.

I was a part of their campaign too for many months, and they built a very good community for their service. BUT because of their generosity, there were nefarious individuals who took advantage of them. "Diggy's Hole" was absolutely abused, probably sometimes without lotion. Hahaha.
They do have a representative account on the forum and they replied to this thread too. I am yet to see a "legitimate" scam accusation against them, the ones being masqueraded with are lacking substantiation, even if the accusers say so.

If that was the case their account would have been painted with red and flagged. The ones still in doubt should dig carefully and do the math before misinterpreting facts.

It would have been better for the site to stand their ground and not pay a single compensation to such blackmailers, in my opinion and accuse the reputation of the same with evidence of the harassment. Sick people need professional treatment, not appeasement and in this forum, negative trust.
573  Local / India / Re: CoinDCX CEO expects crypto tax to be reduced after 2024 election. on: February 12, 2024, 04:39:21 PM
About the statement from the co-founder of the Indian exchange what do you think?
He is making a bold claim, but I will believe that once I see the budget. A 30 to 10% drop in taxation would mean a lot at least in the current scenario of 30% and a drop in the TDS would be a bonus indeed. But again, I would believe it when I see it and not before that. Just hold your horses till the budget get declared.

Looking at these above facts, the chance are very slim for cryptos to become legal in India. But yes, it's a speculation as you have mentioned.
A lot of people are against it but the people of India want this to happen. We should continue to hold and stack up our coins every month so that we will be at the advantage when the day finally arrives.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: The world's logic favours income makers, not the savers on: February 12, 2024, 04:31:52 PM
It's true, sometimes I personally feel very sick of paying taxes, but there is no progress obtained from taxpayers, who knows where the tax funds are allocated, good government and tax-abiding citizens in the country there will be no serious poverty
Tax are supposed to be used in a development of the country among other things that the government pays for. Unfortunately in many states of this world, the money is used to do things that the political parties controlling the government at that stage find useful for their future elections and own greed.

However you dont have any option to not pay the tax. If you try to evade through crypto you will eventually get caught, no point sulking over taxation. It is like a necessary evil at this stage.

Saving money has its importance too, even though the OP seems against it. Emergency funds and savings make a difference in the long term even if inflation is going on. Risky assets have their own place and each of theses are to be kept separately.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break in gambling on: February 12, 2024, 04:25:53 PM
Breaks are important in gambling. For those who are traversing the fine line between addiction and playing for fun, breaks are the one thing that keeps them on the fun side and not cross over.

Casinos are built in such a way that the players keep playing on it, with the VIP systems, bonus/rakeback and so on. The player has to realize this and control their habit otherwise they get addicted. If they take a break they understand that there is a huge life outside the casino and they are missing out on such things.

A bad streak can be broken by taking a break. This is often tough to understand but accepting the defeat is often safer in gambling than running behind it.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you win? on: February 12, 2024, 04:21:19 PM
Here it is better to ask not how often you win, but how often you stay in plus or minus. It is possible to play rarely, but win good sums of money. Unfortunately, I can't call myself a very lucky player, but I don't go into a big minus either.  Of course, I have to find a better strategy
You can win often, but does wins translate to profit? Suppose you are running a 1.1x on a dice game, you will get many wins numerically, but your  net profit will be low. Eventually the red will hit and drown you back to red and then the cycle continues, putting you at a lower level with each red.

The fact here is that the more you try to win from a casino, the more you will lose because in the long run the casino will outperform your game. So it is better to play for the fun and spend the money on it before leaving. Dont lose track of time in casinos, you will lose a lot more than you expect.
577  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm looking for someone who will help me with my project acechange.io on: February 12, 2024, 03:45:04 PM
You should get a signature campaign running for your exchange. It will be the preferred way to get word of mouth out about it and hence gather users and traffic. This will bring in p2p traders for sure and it will be a promotion for your site.

We already have sites like Bestchange running their campaigns on this forum too own their own.

For that contact any of the campaign managers on this forum, here is the old list Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers Contact any of them, but do check their respective threads first.
578  Local / India / Re: A New crypto futures Exchange is in line - Pi42 on: February 11, 2024, 10:02:57 AM
What is the use of such tactics to hide VDA tax using a loophole in the law?
Selling point maybe? Kinda cheeky, but it works I guess.

Quote
The government would come up with an update on the current law and then what will happen to the users. There was a time when such tactics were used to manipulate the stock market. The government at that time was helpless as the technology was primitive and India was struggling economically and we all know what happened later on who were in jail and who were not.
You can see how Deltin operates its casino, it ridiculous what loophole they are using. For readers, who are unaware, land-based gambling is unethical in India, so Deltin built its casino on a cruise ship and put in their middle of the water so that they can use the loophole and allows gambling. It a nice place to visit in Goa, I might when I get time.

Its similar here, they are businessmen and they are taking advantage of the situation. In other words, it is how they show a middle finger to the government's idiotic policies.

Already there are many issues that the crypto community is facing in India and the future option does not look so bright for the future.
I would not be pessimistic about it because as the superpowers continue to adopt crypto, India will be forced to do so too.
579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the best indicators for following trend in cryptotrading? on: February 11, 2024, 09:54:22 AM
I'm developing my strategy for trend trading and I'm trying to figure out what are the best indicators to catch a trend. Currently now I'm using MFI, but I doubt that it is suitable for cryptocurrency trading, so i will appreciate it if you give me a hint. Thank you in advance!
I would not say that a single indicator is best to catch the trend, use RSI, MACD and the others too but dont depend on them too much, see the charts and how they have been performing over the days and use that to make the prediction. Remember that no indictor is 100% correct and each is applicable in a different context.

Every other day you might find a new thread in this section saying that they found this indictor as perfect or today they found this as perfect. It only shows that there is nothing called a perfect or best indicator. Roll Eyes

580  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: February 11, 2024, 09:43:56 AM
In here the most effective ways that casinos market themselves is via the signature campaign or ads that were available before the administrator put an end to it some time ago, and also at some point we have seen alot of other platforms that casino make their promotions and for that, we have not only one channel of promotion for casinos but whichever ways, just make sure you are gambling on a reputable casino regardless of how you learned about them or their methods of marketing.
More traffic comes in through banners ads on data aggregator websites like coinmarketcap, coingecko, gambling review websites which are paid to promote them. Then you have these MLM/HYIP sites which are also browsed by those seeking high risk investments as gambling can be seen as one too. Many are actually going through with the referrals because word of mouth is a good advertising too. Local communities are engaging in the site and more signups come in from these.

Signature campaigns are one part and indeed any of the users come to this forum too but the high rollers operate from the shadows, rarely come to forums and all.
