561  Local / India / Re: Suggestion! Access Banned International Exchanges with VPNs that Accepts Crypto. on: February 24, 2024, 02:19:33 PM
I doubt they will interested in checking VPN activities.
Maybe not yet, but you have to remember that even mixers get seized and although we are not in the level that FBI is going to investigate, we might reach to that level in the coming years.

I expect the upcoming budget to make things a big clear about cryptocurrencies, apart from other things. This shadow ban is distressing for many and the current bullish move could not be taken advantage of by many due to such suddenly applied restrictions.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 02:14:56 PM
So your friends are being secretive about their gambling "hustles" and dont want you to know?

That and pre-existing mental health problems dont go good together and indeed are a recipe for disaster. As a friend you can only warn them about it. Gambling cannot be a source of income, its a game of chance and if you win big stop, or else you are going to lose it all.

Your friend is making a mistake, they will lose money and then go to another debt and not be able to run a business at all.
563  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining recommendations on: February 24, 2024, 02:05:39 PM
Hello, I'm looking for recommendations (based on first-hand experience) for legitimate cloud mining companies.  I'd appreciate any input, thanks.
Those two bolded words dont go together, ever.

I am myself yet to find one that is so legit as you speak, and I am sure I will never find one. The better option is to buy bitcoin yourself, get your own mining farm if you have the money, land and cheap electricity or make your friends do so and invest in their farms.

All cloud mining sites are HYIP/MLMs and they are all scams.
564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Trading becomes Unfavourable on: February 22, 2024, 04:10:12 PM
When trading becomes unfavourable, the best thing to do is to take a break which will let the traders see the area where the mistake comes in which could be choosing the wrong product.
Taking a break is never a bad option. You often need to have a different picture in front of your eyes instead of the trading terminals to be able to think outside the box and give everything a fresh look. It does not always work but it can if you want it to and be able to place that next intelligent order.

Mistakes are more common when you are burnt out from trading and not in an emotional state to make these decisions any more. In this regard long term trading is much safer - indeed day trading is not for everyone and is stressful.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: February 22, 2024, 04:03:46 PM
Also, in my observation, impatient people are greedy people. When these two malicious behaviors come together, it is possible to make many wrong decisions.
Impatient people are impulsive and that can fuel gambling habits and addiction possibilities. With greed there comes in a blunting of the logical thinking and thus the gambler who goes in with the mindset of making loads of money will not think twice to increase their bet after losing one, but continue to play more until they bust their bankroll.

Here the impatience acts like a deciding factor, to cool their patience they will continue to go for fast paced games like slots and lose.
566  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hyip website offering unusual returns on: February 22, 2024, 04:01:26 PM
Like the way these guys pose themselves, 5% return in one month equates to 60% in one year my bad its 20% a day, heck these guys creating money out of thin air? Why they have not destabilized the economy yet? Just asking yourself these questions yields the answer that it is too good to be true, but if you are swayed by their words and think you are going to make money, you are only making a fool of yourself.

Dont even try to experiment with 10 to 20$ - its not worth it, rather buy a lunch bento with that instead.

Anyone reading this, the above site is a scam and if you think we are fooling you, ask yourself the above question and try to find the answer.
567  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: February 22, 2024, 03:51:03 PM
I wonder how much bankroll will be left, I'm debating whether to leave anything.
You are speculating that after the change of hands, the previous investors might pull out? There are drops in the bankroll happening already but I see the bright side of this, individual investors stake increases and their possibility of higher wins increase proportionately as the other investors cash out. Hence I am sticking with my same plan and not touching my investment at all.

Just want to point out that I made 4% gains from my 2months investment on Moneypot - had to cash out after their declared their shut down and Leo moving to BAB and BAD now. I have faith in Leo along with Daniel and Ryan, so I am at ease.
568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we understand market going to be Bear? on: February 21, 2024, 03:04:33 PM
We know better cryptocurrency market always unpredictable. Yet we invest in the cryptocurrency market. Sometimes the market gradually turns to bear.
My question is how do we know if the market will go bearish.
Indicators can give you a 50-50 indication as to the market might turn bearish but this is hard to say with accuracy. The previous condition often helps predict, like for example if the market is correcting from a bull run a good chance is there to go bearish, then when the market is stagnant, both sides can happen.

I think what trader should be more active about is once the market turns bearish, make sure your buy orders are in place and then leave it as it as and wait for them to be executed.

News often can foresee a market movement, a hack or a big exchange or some negative news will drop the price for the next few days.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: February 21, 2024, 02:58:54 PM
If you are unable to create a method to survive properly without eating food and having a shelter then yes it is about money.

Things that you need, cost and therefore you have to be able to pay for them and hence you need to have some skills that you can sell or provide a service to get paid.

At present, of course you need to have a degree and the skills to be able to get a job and get paid.

You can also think of the fact that some people have a passion for something, they get spending sleepless nights trying to nurture that passion. The world does not run on goodwill but money and hence you need it.
570  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 21, 2024, 02:53:32 PM
- Right. Freebie robbers on probabilities of gamblers from working class. :-)
Who does not like freebie anyway? Grin

Lets get them before the time runs out. However getting to the 10th roll itself means waiting for 10hours straight, half the day is going to go off with that, so I dont prefer doing it much. Still it seems to made the thread regulars very excited, so continue hunting those GTs if you have not already.

Hoping to see the next lambo winner from this forum.
571  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 21, 2024, 02:41:50 PM
Good to hear your Moneypot investiment had a good outcome: just had a quick look at both investiment pages ( MP and BaB) and I saw there is a huge difference in commission applied MP takes (better say took) a 0.2% while BaB a huge 84%     Shocked
As you seem to be quite deep into investment dynamics do you know the reason/logic behind that huge commission BaB takes from the net profit?
This only applies when the bankroll's profit reaches an all time high. Then the commission rate is applied and the casino keeps that percentage of money for itself and the investors get the rest. I think the difference in percentages is because the total bankroll was much different on these two sites. MP bankroll was ~30BTC and BAB bankroll was around 1740BTC.

However I am not sure if this is the only reason, maybe @devans or @leomedina can give a more precise answer.

But moneypot is shutting down so these numbers dont mean much anymore. Cry
572  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you won a bet with your last cash? on: February 20, 2024, 02:21:56 PM
-snip-
Considering you already have some loans open with @shashan, you should think twice before making such foolish decisions. You were lucky this time and probably got away with it, but this type of lucky situations dont repeat and that is the sole reason why people lose money after getting the false confidence from a previously won bet.

Please consider managing your bankroll properly and playing with only what you can afford to lose. Not doing so means a vicious cycle of being broke, taking a loan to gamble and bring broke even more.
573  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: February 20, 2024, 02:17:05 PM
Good leaders and government policies set the stage for success by creating opportunities and stability. But at the end of the day, your personal choices and actions are a big part of your own success. It's like a teamwork between what's happening around you and what you decide to do
You cannot possibly be part of the team that decides the affairs of the country. You thus have very little role to play here and let the government decide how the country progresses. We tend to have our own opinions as to how the economy should grow and all but these are all short-sighted thoughts unable to see the big picture we make such comments and it seems as though the government is doing it wrong - they are not, still its tough to make the common people understand.

Yes, but a good environment will influence the person to be better, different from a bad environment.
The decision is in your hands, but the environment has a big influence on a person's life.
A good working government will influence the people whom they govern, and thus a good leader will leave an impression of the people they lead.
574  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is cheaper with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general on: February 20, 2024, 02:14:09 PM
Interesting mate, every educated person needs to know and be informed about bitcoin because bitcoin is the real deal right now.Bitcoin is the mother of all cry pro currencies,it is not just a currency but a revolutionary and phenomenal money that functions without second thought or without interference;a currency without a government.
Bitcoin needs the internet and electricity to be used, so governments can shut these down in a dire or war like situation if they wish to and then you would not be able to use bitcoin. However the chances of such things happening is small.

Quote
Bitcoin is a game of risk and reward. You have your part to play so as bitcoin does.Bitcoin is turning the world most accepted digital currency, and people will have no choice but to embrace.
Nah, they always have a choice. It is not that bitcoin is the final currency ever, fiat will always co-exist with bitcoin and even though fellow forum members might not like it, bitcoin is the less known and less accepted currency as compared to any fiat currency.

Of course in our forum here, we think we are god like after owning bitcoin, it is not so in the outside world. You need both fiat and crypto.
575  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: February 20, 2024, 02:08:42 PM
Have you considered leaving moneypot up and running but for a different currency ( or more than one)?
Leo is now going to be the owner of Bustabit and Bustadice. He is shutting down Moneypot to focus on further development of these sites and buying it from Daniel. It is possible he might bring in new changes in BAB.

My investment on Moneypot was a success, today I withdrew my original BTC that I invested at the start of this year with a good amount of interest, I just wish I had invested even earlier, because the bankroll was small my stake was large and thus the profits were also big.

It is a sad goodbye to this site, thanks for giving us investors a chance to make money. I will continue my investment on bustabit and see things through there.

577  Local / India / Re: Paytm Bank will no longer operate starting from March 1. on: February 19, 2024, 04:04:08 PM
Paytm UPI was the best option for me and now I'm using Bhim which is much more complicated. Paytm had its own bank and it was easy to add and withdraw money which is not offered by other UPI alternatives.
BHIM app is good but is overfeatured and is often clanky to use. In that sense, GPay and Phonepe has better interfaces and I use GPay almost regularly to make payments hoping for some good cashbacks. They used to give away few single digit INR value cashbacks directly back in 2020 but they dont anymore.

Still I keep getting hopeful I will get some one fine day.

As far as Paytm is concerned, I can see them selling off to someone else and moving on.
578  Local / India / Re: Consequences of skipping 30% capital gains tax! on: February 19, 2024, 04:01:10 PM
In 2014, I had received a demand letter from IT. At that time I was trading on local stocks and I did make some profit at that time. The amount they questioned was not so big as it was my initial days of trading.
Taxation from stock market trading is much more streamlined on the website, indeed all these things have become easier to fill in with the development of the Indian government websites. But for crypto such sections need to be filed on our own.

I am hence not selling anything currently, waiting for a better situation to come in future. I understand that this might not be the case with most of my fellow members here.
579  Local / India / Re: Suggestion! Access Banned International Exchanges with VPNs that Accepts Crypto. on: February 19, 2024, 03:58:34 PM
DEX is expensive in terms of fees, low liquidity that is why centralized exchanges beat everything when it comes to convenience. And if your going to trade only altcoins then you are supposed not to pay any taxes that means we are not violating the taxation but we have to be careful if exchange prohibits using from banned jurisdiction then our account will be under risk all the time.
You eventually have to go through the conversion of the altcoins into INR and when you do that you get the taxation slapped on your face like a
fresh tomato, which you now have to wipe off, apart from eating it. Undecided

I say, there is no clean method to evade the tax, so dont try to evade it. Pay it and continue with crypto as you would. At present we dont have any better option.
580  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: February 19, 2024, 03:54:46 PM
That's true, as I said above, I majored in photography, worked in a coffee shop, but my interest was in the world of mechanics, this didn't spread. but because it was to improve my financial situation, I did what I found as work.
It does not necessarily have to be that gloomy. Of course to make ends meet, we all have to do things that we are not proud of but dont let that weigh you down.

Maybe in the near future you will be able to save your earnings from the coffee shop job to start your own joint promoted with the help of your own clicked pictures and then get that mechanical degree down the line and use that build the next state of the art coffee machine?

Or maybe not, but that dont matter, what matters is that your tried to live life your way.
