5601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best wallet on: January 15, 2020, 03:26:37 AM
Hello to everyone. I created account here to ask about the best wallet for LTC and Stellar. Also if you can recommend some physical wallet too.
Thanks
Edit currently I store funds at coinomi

... it be a famous large wallet..

Famous wallets are more prone to hacks and such, if you want most security always opt for hardware wallet. Period.

Ledger, trezor have good reputation when talking of hardware wallet. Do remember to always buy from trusted seller.
5602  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 15, 2020, 03:17:44 AM
^ Most don't care enough to go to court, they would rather just let go of the account.

To be precise in the past two days i sold BSV which i was holding for a long time but not everything and it is a fairly huge amount in Kotak bank just to check after seeing this topic. Lets see what happens Grin.

Wish I was as courageous as you.
5603  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of earning merit. on: January 14, 2020, 04:44:14 AM
1) Take part in contests, for example, in 10th anniversary art contest there were tons merit being given away to participants (their work was good, no doubt on that).

2) Take part in giveaway threads, there were lots on Christmas and on new year days.
5604  Local / India / Re: SBI's action against bank account holders dealing in crypto on: January 14, 2020, 04:36:48 AM
Kotak is strict on crypto, they sent notices, calls to consumers for suspected transactions, even when you register they tell to not do any transactions in crypto
Won't be surprised if they closed the accounts.
How about the customers who are having account before they added this disclaimer.

Disclaimer was for awareness's sake, if rbi puts a guideline, does it matter when you created the account?

Quote
my biggest doubt is that how are they going to determine whether someone is dealing with bitcoin or other assets, either they need to create a separate wing to monitor those which is expensive as it is not that easy to monitor those unless they want to monitor and question every transaction and how they are going to provide a proof in court when the case regarding it is still sitting in Supreme court.

Some people put crypto remarks in crypto transactions(mistakenly/deliberately idk), this makes banks aware of it.

And quite possibly, if you linked your bank account to zebpay/etc when there was no rbi ban, then they can suspect that you used to deal in crypto and might still be doing it.
5605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving your private key in your email is a lethal move on: January 13, 2020, 05:10:48 AM
When I created my first wallet (on blockchain wallet), I had private key saved on my email, stupid I know, but when you are new you don't know any better. And more often than not, you learn after that mistake costs.

Kotak is strict on crypto, they sent notices, calls to consumers for suspected transactions, even when you register they tell to not do any transactions in crypto (click me!)

Won't be surprised if they closed the accounts.

Edit: not close, but freeze
5607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Forks Are Bad? on: January 12, 2020, 03:56:28 AM
Is it all about money? Forks are not bad per se, but for more often than not they don't bring anything new to the table.
5608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is for you scam project and what is for you good project? on: January 12, 2020, 03:54:19 AM
Legit or scam has nothing to do with price, I was with a projects which started as an airdrop, mooned and later the founder abandoned the project.

If the lead team is anonymous, you should have second thoughts about project. This is what I have figured.
5609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs should target developing and third world countries on: January 11, 2020, 04:03:42 AM
Yes, but for that regulations must be in favor for it, like first comment said, unocoin installed atm in India but later they got in trouble by officials, you just can't go there and place your atm.
5610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 Breaking the stereotypes 🔥 Exchange of illiquid tokens for real money 🔥 on: January 10, 2020, 05:03:59 AM
I thought that this thread contains the stereotypes that the people have with cryptocurrencies and you're breaking it. But this is more of a token sales. Why still give attention to those unsuccessful tokens if they were already not good and didn't found the success that they were looking for during their sales.

I don't think that there will be investors willing to buy those kind of tokens.

We don't need investors. Please check out the first post in our telegram channel. Thanks.
Why not post that first post in your telegram channel to your original post on this thread? I think it's a good idea so that most people that are curious of what you are advocating can easily understand what you are trying to do.

Just a suggestion since I don't use telegram.

There isn't much information either, here they have linked telegram group, there they have link to this thread.

So far it seems like they are phishing for followers, let's see.
5611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy way to exchange small amounts of Tron to Bitcoin on: January 10, 2020, 04:55:07 AM
I think that's why the minimum rate is changing because it depends on the BTC total rate, not on TRX amount.

How do you mean?

Quote
I also found Exolix, but there minimum amount to be exchange is around 0.009 Btc total, quite high compare to coinswitch.

Limit is way high for every pair, would rather use already established ones like changelly over this.
5612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin pegged token? on: January 09, 2020, 03:57:35 AM
There are actually, for example eosbet casino uses BTC pegged token on EOS to make betting available with BTC.
5613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 Breaking the stereotypes 🔥 Exchange of illiquid tokens for real money 🔥 on: January 08, 2020, 02:42:07 AM
I have tons of illiquid tokens collected from airdrops/bounties, would love to get rid of them for some profit. But, why this thread in English and channel in Russian language?
5614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger that awaits few coins on: January 08, 2020, 02:37:57 AM
I agree with your take on bnb token, it doesn't have much use case and is overvalued.
5615  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy way to exchange small amounts of Tron to Bitcoin on: January 07, 2020, 07:13:00 AM
Just checked, Minimum is 1507 trx on coinswitch while on changelly it's 715 trx.

@op instant exchanges have min amounts and on cexes like binance, withdrawal fees would eat up your fund, better to hold until you have accumulated significant amount.

i just check on coinswitch they have minimum around 272 Tron you can see my ss below

but i think you need more than 2k to get a better rate for your exchange

Well, idk 1507 is minimum rate for me.

5616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying online with crypto? Its worthed? on: January 07, 2020, 04:39:18 AM
In my personal experience, when you pay with crypto, you get bit inflated prices. So better to use fiat unless you have no other option.

5617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easy way to exchange small amounts of Tron to Bitcoin on: January 07, 2020, 04:36:55 AM
As what I used before, I am doing it with Changelly: https://changelly.com/ for changing some quick and small amount of cryptocurrency to exchange it.
As of now they have TRON listed and you can do it with lot of cryptocurrency just like TRON to Bitcoin or TRON to ETHEREUM, etc.

P.S. Exchange at your own risk, try to review first.

there is minimum exchange on changelly which around 700~800 Tron so if you want to do an exchange with lower than that i prefer coinswitch.
because coinswitch has a minimum around 280~300 Tron.

Just checked, Minimum is 1507 trx on coinswitch while on changelly it's 715 trx.

Even hardware wallets are susceptible to harsh environmental conditions over time.

It's not that your hardware wallet holds crypto, your funds are linked to mnemonics, you can back up these words to some online service.

It would be good idea to encrypt the file containing seed words with password only known by you and then upload it, so even if malicious entity gets the file containing your seed you would be still safe.
5619  Other / Meta / Re: Mobile Friendly Bitcointalk on: January 06, 2020, 03:13:58 AM
I don't have pc (yeah, you can laugh on that one) and I use bitcointalk completely on mobile, believe me you will get used to it.
