5621  Economy / Exchanges / Re: another crypto exchange hacked on: November 30, 2019, 05:03:56 AM
Well unless they will cover up the losses, It seems that South Korean exchanges are favorite targets of hackers or maybe some exchanges security are just weak. This is not one of the biggest stolen funds of all but if this happens regularly traders will begin to lose confidence trading in big or small exchanges.
Well, I'm pretty sure they just pick any exchanges they deem to be hackable plus could bring quite a bit of profit in their pockets. Luckily, they decided to be honest and completely open up with the issue and took responsibility for it. This just goes to show that any vulnerability available to the hackers could easily be taken advantage of, especially with the ever growing community of crypto which seems like a big fat lamb to them.

Also since OP didn't link the article, here it is
5622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help in Trading on: November 30, 2019, 03:52:52 AM
You could also try going for local exchanges or private trading. A lot cheaper since transaction fees ain't that expensive. You should also probably brush up on daily trading techniques and mechanics since that is what basically you are doing right now. Find a pair that suits you, and well, see how it goes. That's pretty much how day trading works anyway.
5623  Economy / Exchanges / Re: IDAX: Uh, oh! We’re in trouble! on: November 30, 2019, 02:31:47 AM
Oof. Unlucky for those who tried to sign up with them. It could actually just be a conspiracy against the CEO since there isn't really any official information about it, but well, who knows right?

There’s also someone from LinkedIn who contacted me that she is from IDAX that if I’m interested for one of the projects that I’m involved back then to list with them. However, I tried to find that woman on LinkedIn and her past conversation, but I can’t find it anymore.

I even find IDAX as one of the platinum sponsors for The Capital by CoinMarketCap a couple of weeks ago at the Victoria Theater Singapore along with Vechain and AAX. I attended that event by the way. I was surprised that even with the scam accusations against them, they’re having the guts to show up in these events.

Now it gets even worse because the CEO is nowhere to be found and the cold storage is under lockdown. Their reputation is at stake now. If they really want to regain that reputation, the CEO has to show up no matter what sort of hole is he hiding now.
Might not actually be from IDAX and could just be scamming you ngl. Plus, they have to attend these events. This is a potential scapegoat for them or at least nullify a bit of these scam accusations from the community after all. Sadly about their CEO, IDAX really turned upside down with all of these issues surrounding them. I really doubt they could make a comeback in the near future.
5624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dump - The Worst Thing on: November 29, 2019, 05:15:28 PM
Dump dump dump dump. A word we all hate tbh, especially if you're actually waiting for that moment but it's part of the market growth. A market dump doesn't necessarily result in other coin dumps though, BUT it could result in what path altcoins could probably go. I actually see it as a possibility of BTC dumps, altcoins take advantage of this to go up. BUT because of how traders actually concentrate on BTC only, this kind of kills that idea. This results in what we currently see, altcoins being used as an alternative as the name "alt", and are actually more used as a way to buy BTC when it dumps instead.
5625  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin halving 2020 prediction on: November 29, 2019, 04:05:38 PM
Everyone who has been in Bitcoin long enough knows that the halving is the lowest part in the parabolic growth.
The ATH is always half way between the halvings.

So if you sell your stash ant GTFO that would be great!  Tongue
This. Dude, the graphs have already shown it. BTC always dips down to lows during the halving. At least after a year would it only St pop off and start reaching for another ATH. Even if BTC went to 5k right now, most HODLers wouldn't even blink an eye off of it. Why? Because almost every hodlers know that the season of BTC is not during the halving, since most people panic sell by then, believing that BTC would lose its value once the supply that is being steadily released dwindled down, but rather after the halving itself.
5626  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Price is Not showing, Missleading news and hype on: November 29, 2019, 01:49:03 PM
This your first time with the media? The media has never shown the truth of most articles, and are often half-truths and half-lies instead. Plus, the current BTC price shown is dependent on the market itself, and I doubt private traders would stray far off from that price. I mean, why would they buy at a higher price when they can buy it in exchanges with smaller price, or why would they sell at a low price in private, when they can sell at a high price in public, right?

BUT, those private traders do have the ability to change the market, not by being private about trades, but rather about dumping and spreading FUD. They then buy BTC at a low price and then push it towards a bullish trend at the end. We can actually say that they are both the bear and the bull here.
5627  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt Hits New All-Time High Volume but Analyst Pours Cold Water on Bitcoin Bull on: November 29, 2019, 12:35:57 PM
Well, yes. The current situation of bulls doesn't seem positive right now cause bulls are mostly in control right now. Bulls took the little chance they got and managed to push for 7.5k, but it doesn't really look advantageous for them right now. Though im mostly hoping for the bulls to be able to fight back before the year ends.
5628  Economy / Economics / Re: Future without Middle men big way, but big Question? on: November 29, 2019, 01:44:19 AM
Banks would never agree to being one of the decentralized systems. This requires a community to manage it aka freedom from government control or company control, which I doubt the company or the government would be willing to let go. Plus, there are the existence of exchanges here and there, which is pretty much a substitute for what banks do at this point.

Not that I'm actually being glad for the possibility of them having no work, but isn't the purpose of improvement and innovation to let mankind have all the freetime they could get? Well, them being freed from bank responsibilities could mean more man power towards other projects and companies that need them.
5629  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin readh 10000usd this year again? on: November 28, 2019, 09:53:07 AM
I doubt anyone could answer your question with 100% certainty. Volatility is one of the attributes of BTC after all. Considering the current situation though, imo, I doubt the bulls could push through 10k this year since they're pretty much having a hard time pushing through after the fall to 6.5k. The bulls managed to push through 7.5k now but that took honestly quite a few days. I'd say the bears let up a bit and are preparing to resist again after that fall back of theirs.
5630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the top traders at this forum? on: November 28, 2019, 09:08:35 AM
if you really want to know a professional trader join in a special trading forum, at BTT is a public discussion forum so it is very difficult to find out, I once joined a trading forum but forex trading is not a crypto, where professional traders will have a badge that can be seen by all users, we can also see the trades of these professional traders directly or see the history of the transactions they have.
Even joining one wouldn't guarantee meeting these top traders. Most of those in the group are just people who want to share their experience to others and those who want to hear the experience of others in trading. Plus, if you're gonna join the group just to listen to those, watch youtube instead. You're just wasting time trying to find a good trader in the group when there could be a lot in YT, it's just up to your judgment to determine whether the person is really good as a trader or not.
5631  Economy / Speculation / Re: MasterLuc new long term prediction on: November 28, 2019, 06:10:02 AM
Kinda following the same idea as prediction of his right now. Just watching from the events of up till now, he's been right, and well, most of us have already thought of BTC reaching new highs in 2020.

Bitcoin surpassing the current all time high would lead to a huge influx of new investors and lost of FOMO which would bubble up the price even more, so I think stability would come a while after this. The price would need to correct and balance, supply and demand as well as mining.

Well yes, every bubble needs a time where it stabilizes after it goes down into its depression phase. The peak of the bubble would naturally be the best time to sell any coins you have. Just look at the past halving of 2016 that had a huge bubble that resulted into the 20k ATH by 2017. The price dropped immediately after that and wasn't until close to 2019 did it start coming back up.

5632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 7 on: November 28, 2019, 01:38:34 AM
No no. Nuh uh. My policy is for kids to learn at an early age what they can and can't touch, and me gambling is one of those. Plus, money is involved in this little incident, and well, we all know what the importance of such a thing is for our everyday lives. Id rather teach the kid how to use the pc, what to touch and not to touch instead. Ofc, id explain why they shouldn't be touched  since most accidents occur because of lil ol curiosity hanging around.
5633  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit exchange hacked! on: November 27, 2019, 02:03:35 PM
Was kind of expected. Crypto is growing, well expect the hackers to grow as well. Attacking is a lot easier than defending after all. Can't really blame crypto for being decentralized since that is how we liked it, but you got to admit, it is a pro and a con at the same time. Plus, exchanges have been in general, said, not to be used as a storage for coins since that's basically just a number they are showing. Using a physical wallet ensures 100% safety with your coins, and it doesn't really take much of a hassle when you want to trade with it.
5634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are crypto casinos/dice houses not caring about multiple accounts. on: November 27, 2019, 10:46:18 AM
A gambling site that offer freebies may not allow the creation of multiple accounts. However, the creation of multi accounts doesn't seem to affect the business flow of a casino that much. Creation of accounts across various gambling houses is a nice idea still, but other than the different offers being taken advantage of, I still don't see any advantages with it.
5635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a sign of the next Bitcoin bull run? Or just another bull trap? on: November 27, 2019, 08:42:17 AM
Well, its honestly just a time where people bought because the price dropped. And if you're gonna compare then and now, remember that BTC is gonna experience another halving in the May of 2020. This could be a point that BTC would take, and whether it woyld actually take a bullish or bearish run.
5636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Real reasons to Why do you gamble? on: November 27, 2019, 03:14:00 AM
Cos its fun? Enjoyable? Tbh, this already stated most of the why's involved.
I gamble because I can... easy as that.
It aint a paasion nor a way to earn quick buck for me. Its just that, its there, it exists, and I can play it, so why not right? It's not really about the benefits obtained or losses felt from it. Plus, even if gambling sites asked for outrageous deposits, as long as I can handle it well enough without it affecting the finances I use for my everyday life, I'd push for it. Life is boring when you won't even take a step that you can afford to lose.
5637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: November 26, 2019, 12:56:03 PM
A Remaaaaaaaaaatchhhhhhhhh. Finally. I've been waiting for this rematch ever since they ended with that weird ass draw which was rather full of questions with the result. I also watched the match between Wilder and Ortiz and oh boy, imagining this rematch after that match got me so bloody hyped up for this. It is rather rare for the most part to see two fighters of almost equal caliber to duke it out, where both of them are rather strong to the point they could be called kings. Now, the fight between two kings is gonna get on once more, and ohhh is there a lot of hype ongoing with it right now.
5638  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How anonymous is BTC/Can they find my name? on: November 26, 2019, 12:03:23 PM
Is the one asking for the name Binance or the guy sending the Bitcoin? I don't really see a need for the guy to need your name, and I doubt it is really needed. That is, in the premise of the account not being used in anything else other than what you have stated. And besides, even if your wife did a KYC on Binance, the information would only be stored on Binances' database andbwouldn't be publicly available.

Move to meta instead. Most mods often check posts there unlike here.
5640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: $7k Lost, Bulls Vanished. Will The Gold Fractal Play Out? on: November 26, 2019, 05:12:44 AM

The market is back green now bitoin has grown 4% so the expectation to $ 7500 is very close it will probably reach it in a few days, this is still worth investing bitcoin prices are still low even though it's green too, but I analyze bitcoin will soon touch $ 8000 in a few Sunday.
So this is a good start for entering December which is expected to rise.
Well, bears are still fighting back though. Price still going steady within the 7.2k range and after the comeback from 6500, BTC hasn't seen any chances to fight back for a higher place. Well, we'll see how it goes. If bulls are able to fight back towards 7.4k, there's a chance it may continue onward with its pace.
