5642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the Coronavirus (Covid-19) make BTC to rise? on: March 01, 2020, 11:08:30 PM
It's hard to predict anything in this scenario we are living, because no one know what's going to happen, everyone is cautious right now, every person on earth should worry because we can have a big financial crisis in a few days/weeks, it's not conspiration, but we are discussing this for some time, and now with Coronavirus hitting the world so hard, there will be consequences for sure
Our entire world depends on China, and if they don't handle this problem quickly, people will going to suffer not only financially but physically too

And predicts about BTC in this specific scenario with Coronavirus is even harder, people can adopt BTC to be more secure, but what about the others who will prefer to have fiat cash to buy essential stuff for living?
5643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: March 01, 2020, 11:02:33 PM
I approve the service in my signature by not giving them a red trust rating or creating a flag. That means they are running an honest service. (for me at least)

Carrying a signature doesn't mean you should act like a complete shill or you are an employee of the company you are promoting in your signature. People who carry a signature do no work for the company. It is not a job.

I don't have the obligation to support them with my earnings or act like someone I am not. Just because I promote an online casino in my signature doesn't mean I am a full time gambler. I have my rights to warn people from losing their life savings. I am pretty sure the casino owners don't want people to lose their life savings too. People who lose everything will become angry and seek somebody to blame (even though it is nobody but themselves)

Nobody wants angry customers. Happy and returning customers is what everybody wants.

Ops, I didn't want to say that, I don't consider wear a signature makes you an employee or you're obligated to gamble on the service you are promoting

I just make this thread to know if people wearing a signature of gambling prefers to gamble on the website they are promoting  Wink
5644  Local / Brasil / Re: Conte-nos como você já perdeu dinheiro em criptos on: March 01, 2020, 10:55:00 PM
Eu na verdade, até hoje, só perdi. Principalmente fazendo trade.

5645  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's the cheapest way to pay and receive BTC in my local business? on: March 01, 2020, 11:53:15 AM
I thought only leaving BTC adress , QR code and the customer chooses how they pay, but a service / gateway can be a good friend and help more customers to pay in cryptos
Well, then I will suggest to use open source bitcoin payment getaway BTCPAY server. There is no fees or no third party control. You will have full control of your wallet like private keys etc. Also some alt coin you may accept via this server including invoice facilities. If you host yourself then you may even accept bitcoin via lighting network. Otherwise you may have to use third party hosting that listed on BTCPAY official website. You don't need any verification there like KYC. If you can't trust third party host then you have to host server yourself. Just read pros and cons before use third party server.

I'm reading more about this service BTCPAY, it looks really good and probably will fit my needs, I see on the website there's some demo and I'll try
I'll see how to host myself because having the lightning network can be a good thing, finally, and I'll help to promote LN too
5646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet rocks on: March 01, 2020, 11:38:39 AM
I'm looking this wallet right now, and I liked it, now I know that is Binance´s multi wallet

Guys, what's the cons of this wallet? If someone hacks this wallet, is it possible to stole our coins?

I'm used to local wallets, never used a multi wallet this way

Binance exchange got several hack attacks, but the Trust wallet is very secure and it has zero hack or suspicious issues. But as you are using a local wallet, I would prefer you to continue with that. Because local or hardware wallets are far better than online wallets!

Ok, thanks, I'm thinking about just use this wallet for some altcoins that is hard to manage, everytime have to update all wallets and it's a lot os space in disk
I'll leave my biggest portion of BTC in local wallet but I'll try Trust Wallet anyway, it's good to have some coins in only one place, and I will read more about how to keep this kind of wallet safe
5647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: March 01, 2020, 11:34:55 AM
You know, you hit the spot here:  Some even make the mistake of speaking against gambling while they are carrying a gambling signature.
You can't pretend you like gambling just because you're wearing a gambling signature. Unless it is stated in the campaign thread, I guess we're allowed to speak freely about it.

It`s a subject for another thread, but I don`t know if people will be totally honest to answer if they believe in the service they are promoting
~
More than 50% of the things people promote are likely not something they personally like or use. If ChipMixer had accepted you in their sig campaign, I'm more than sure you'd accept it even if you do not use/support their service. The amount of BTC you're going to earn will trigger a positive answer to their offer. It's a psychological thing we do as humans.

I don't agree with some points, you have to participate on a campaign only for a service that you aproves
If the service you're wearing do something wrong you can feel guilty to help promote, just an example
I think here in forum we have a recent problem about users get negative trust for wearing a bad signature campaign

But I have the sense of we are just helping promote a service, we are not totally responsible for the services they promote, but we can select our signatures in a better way
5648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone trading Stellar coin? on: March 01, 2020, 11:28:08 AM
I have some Stellar in my portfolio, all profits I had of last years of trading Stellar
It's a great coin, very fast transactions, reliable, have good wallets and good devs, there's no reason to worry about this coin, it's only very far of ATH that reached when I used to trade, so I'll hold for some time
I used to trade in Binance

your forget that stellar do also have an active community  or a forum simillar to bitcoin/bitcointalk forum   .

unlike to our forum that have bounties and campaigns   , the difference of stellar forum is they are only paying per post   but i dont know now maybe they modify thier rules and add or remove some features   .  i havent been updated on the price of this coin but im aware that this coin is one of those top coin  and one of the wishlist of most traders   .

I`m sorry, but can you post the link of this forum? Because I don't know that Stellar have it's own forum until now, I searched on google but I only found and obsolete forum, with very old posts

About the price, it's not good to sell right now, but I'm sure when BTC rises in value, the coin will follow too, and it's not so hard to achieve ATH again
5649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buy GPU now or wait till new ones are out?? on: March 01, 2020, 11:21:22 AM
It will take you a year to get your return of investment if you choose asic miner instead, GPU mining profits is not that good anymore and checking websites like whattomine shows that asic is the best

I think Asics have a different approach, you can estimate the ROI in a year from now, but them Bitmain comes and launch a new asic and the old became almost obsolete and you won't have access to them until it's too late
And with Asic you won't have a lot of coins to mine, and another thing is you can always sell GPUs for different kind of people, so only do Asics if you really knows what you're doing

5652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: February 29, 2020, 10:17:18 PM
Guys, I think most participants here wears a signature os a campaign, and most of them are for gamble services

My question is: Do you spend the money you gain with the service you are working for?

Sometimes I do some gamble, and I always prefer to spend the money on the website that are paying me, I think it's fair and a way to say thanks  Grin

Everybody cannot be you, what penalty was for those who didn't spend back to the site that payed them. Your idea is not bad. Many simply support the gambling campaign, most are not real gamblers or may I ask, if that has made them gamblers. Some even make the mistake of speaking against gambling while they are carrying a gambling signature. This is to tell you that many are just after getting their reward and not to stay with them forever. But does it actually make sense to compulsorily gamble with money because it came from gambling. I don't subscribe to it.

You know, you hit the spot here:  Some even make the mistake of speaking against gambling while they are carrying a gambling signature.

It`s a subject for another thread, but I don`t know if people will be totally honest to answer if they believe in the service they are promoting

When I enter in my campaign signature I entered on the website and play some games with the money I received, and I can say it`s fair, just like another sites with reputation.
And we have a lot of talk about gambling here, it`s very curious that people are not into gambling, even if they speaks a lot about
5653  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's the cheapest way to pay and receive BTC in my local business? on: February 29, 2020, 10:10:42 PM
Thank you guys, I'm reading everything that you wrote, and I'll put that info and see how can I put on my business
I live in Brazil, and there was an exchange that allows payments without any fees, but they ended this free fee and now it costs a not so friendly fee

I thought only leaving BTC adress , QR code and the customer chooses how they pay, but a service / gateway can be a good friend and help more customers to pay in cryptos

And for you guys asking why do I want to receive in BTC, it`s because it`s related to cryptos

5656  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHEN we should sell BTC after halving as a LONG-TERM invest? on: February 29, 2020, 08:42:25 PM
It~s a very interesting question and I want to know about people´s opinion
I'm here for the long term, but I don't have an exact sell point, but I have some numbers in my head that I'll be confortable to sell, and obviously will depend on the trend
And I think, no matter what's your plan, ALWAYS leave some BTC in your wallet, never sell ALL your coins, even if you sell like at 20k USD, but leave some coins, maybe one day will worth a lot more
5657  Economy / Service Discussion / What's the cheapest way to pay and receive BTC in my local business? on: February 29, 2020, 12:40:06 AM
Hey guys, I have an idea for a local business, and I'm planning about payments right now

Can you guys share some ideas, apps, or ways with me?

I'll need to receive in BTC (if possible, altcoins too, but mainly BTC) and pay in BTC

The main goal is the transaction have to be very cheap to make people pays in cryptos

Thanks  Wink
5658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trust wallet rocks on: February 28, 2020, 08:20:22 PM
Just what I'm looking right now
I'm tired of download the entire blockchain of the coins I have
It's not a lot of coins, I have 6 or 7 in my portfolio, but it's hard to manage, and I'll give a chance to whis wallet, but before I'm research a bit more to see how safe is and how is the way of recover / protect the account if my smartphone brokes
5659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling on: February 28, 2020, 08:14:33 PM
It's a interesting way of view your losses, but if you're thinking this way, maybe it's better to stop gambling right now

I only gamble for fun, so it doesn't matter, I'll only play the amount I'm afford to lose, it's like a hobby, some people spends a lot of money with games, pieces, collections etc
And I'm in total control of my gambling behavior
5660  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new virus is attacking Google 2FA app on: February 28, 2020, 05:17:39 PM
Wow, even this authenticator is suffering

I stopped using Google's 2fa because it's very risk if you lose your smartphone or android corrupts...now I use Authy, it's way better than Google's, and if you lose your device, you have a master password to recover, and you can use on PC, Laptop, Smartphones...
