5641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Alchemy [ACOIN] discussion thread (alchemy-ai.com) on: January 05, 2020, 11:40:01 PM
Because there is no ANN or discussion thread for project Alchemy, I'm creating one.

Alchemy is a new project that is working on training system which will self-teach itself to trade (that is how I understand it, but it's rather complicated). So don't confuse it for another project Alchemy which is a crypto-payment solution (https://www.achpay.org/alchemy_english.html)

Also don't confuse it with dead altcoin ACOIN (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/acoin/)

5642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 05, 2020, 11:07:24 PM
AS Roma - Torino FC
Roma won last three games against today's opponents. Their recent form is also much better. I think they should win by two goals minimum but these games after holidays are somehow unpredictable so I'll wait until the game starts and then place a live bet if I see that Roma is playing well.
I don't think it's a problem about the first match after this holiday, Torino is not in the good form I see right now so it's very possible for Roma to win the match and it seems very possible when I see the odds for Roma winning at odd 1.54. Other matches I am interested in Milan and Juventus

I watched the first half and was thinking of betting Draw no bet - Roma because they were one goal behind at HT but they were a better side. Luckily I didn't place a bet because Torino was better in second half and even scored another goal for final result 0-2. Roma deserved a draw but Torino showed more desire and kept the lead till the end. I expected more from Roma.
5643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EXCHANGE] KuCoin Exchange on: January 05, 2020, 07:15:38 PM
I've seen the news about Alchemy Coin (ACOIN) on KuCoin LockUP but it's really confusing. I tried to find more info about the project apart from their official website https://alchemy-ai.com/ and found out there is one very old altcoin called ACOIN but it's dead. There is also another project called Alchemy but it is a different project with different team and website (https://www.achpay.org/alchemy_english.html )
The choice of name is not very good because it can be confused for another two projects. But what I'm more interested in is what is the expected price of ACOIN. Any help appreciated.

5646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: January 04, 2020, 07:25:03 PM
Monero wallet app called Cake Wallet is now available for Android (previously only iOS) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cakewallet.cake_wallet
My first impression is good, you get seed words so you own your keys. There is also exchange feature in the app, looks like P2P decentralized exchange, but I haven't tried it yet.

5647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FA Cup: Wolves VS Manchester United on: January 04, 2020, 04:51:37 PM
Both lineups known:

United's first 11 doesn't convince me. Andreas Pereira and Matic are not in form, Mata is not used to play 90 minutes, Chong is not consistent, he could be brilliant or awful. This midfield is too week in my opinion. Going for Wolves today.

Thanks for the NBA tips. I'm taking Houston over 227.5 and Phoenix Suns with handicap -7.5
5651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: January 03, 2020, 11:56:06 PM
Valencia vs Eibar. it looks like this will be a victory game for valencia. In addition, Valencia must win to continue to improve their standings in order to enter the big 4 zone. I found a pretty good bet for Valencia winning 1.68x on the Stake Sports website. This is the choice I will make for this week as a single match
I'm picking Valencia too and adding Under 3.5 goals to the Build your odds on William Hill. Thinking of Under 3.5 for Getafe - Real Madrid too. Madrid was really struggling before the holiday break.
5652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency? on: January 03, 2020, 11:49:48 PM
I see only one positive difference between crypto and fiat, is that crypto is still decentralized, but in terms of usability, fiat is more convenient.

It's more convenient only because shops and business adopted to cash and credit cards. Once they adopt to cryptocurrencies, this payment could be as fast as swiping a card.
5653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which year Bitcoin will be 100% mined? on: January 03, 2020, 11:45:29 PM
2140 is that year. Am I the only one who is sad because none of us will be there to see that last mined bitcoin? Many of us were still alive when first bitcoin was mined. We will not be there in 2140 but bitcointalk.org and our posts will live till that date.

This is only an estimated year. Many things can happen until then - bitcoin protocol can change. Anyway, 2,860,412.5 bitcoins are left to be mined and even after the last one is shared as a block reward, this will not be the end of bitcoin because miners will keep receiving transaction fees.

Congrats to all the winners. Some really generous prizes there!

I was wondering if amount of Bitcoins invested to Bitvest will drop today because of "Proof of Keys" event (read about it)
The charts are showing that Total Invested actually increased slightly today. Total invested Bitcoin amount is around 180 BTC which is close to yearly low but there were no extraordinary moves today. People divested mostly in July and December 2019.
5655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BST BlockStamp - A blockchain fairness ecosystem on: January 03, 2020, 11:12:19 PM
This growth looks suspicious to me. Was there a major announcement or something? I know it's not the first time BST passed $1 but the jump in price happened in a moment and that is not natural.

5656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROCK] Social Club Rocks - Gaming Token on QAE-1 on: January 03, 2020, 10:56:00 PM
Thanks for 1000 ROCK and 1000 CGT.

Why did you decide for a token name ROCK? There is already a token "ROCK2" of the ICO called Ice Rock Mining and they also have a token "ROCK" from the first phase of crowdfunding - https://ethplorer.io/address/0xdfbd6a960a55bcfcf59d5925351e05a51498bcef

P.S. I noticed that all Bitcoin faucets on your website are empty. Do you plan to fill them or find a donor?
5658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TDC on: January 03, 2020, 10:09:27 PM
Please explain this quote from the website:
Quote
Important reminder: TDC is a cryptocurrency designed for active use in transactions. If you leave your coins to lie inactive in your wallet for more than a year, you will lose 1% of your coin balance; in each consecutive year, your balance will be reduced by 10%.

What is the purpose of this? I think this is unfair to all the people who will hold TDC for longer period of time. If you want to encourage transactions (which generate mining fees), why don't you take only a small fixed fee? No one would use Bitcoin if tx fee was 1% let alone 10%.
5659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DMS] Documentchain.org | Document notarization blockchain | YescryptR32 on: January 03, 2020, 09:58:06 PM
Of course we would like to make the project better known. English press releases will follow soon.

Did you try contacting companies like music record labels, engineering companies, law firms and offer them your product and free support for a limited time? I see Documentchain more as a tool for companies, not so much for individuals.
5660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto.com - The Pioneering Payments & Cryptocurrency Platform on: January 03, 2020, 09:06:46 PM
will we see our cards shipped to EU customers in this 2020 year?
why is taking so long to send them out?

They made an announcement about Europe in October 2019 but with no shipping date: https://blog.crypto.com/crypto-com-card-program-receives-green-light-for-europe/
I remember they said Q1 2020 but I can't find the quote on crypto.com website, only people mentioning that on Reddit. I guess they don't know more accurately and we simply need to wait.
