The fact that the price has gone from 30k+ to under 5k in about 6 days would suggest that all you people shouting HOLD are actually selling. I guess the dev has dumped his coins and now gone silent.
I personally have sold very few and have purchased a lot more than my original ICO coins, Placebo and a couple of other peeps here dumped hard, thousands of coins and they even mentioned it that they dumped, some for personal reasons others to move into other ICOS. I am bagholding 5k plus in my wallet still and started off with 3750. There are only 2 scenarios here..Either DEV collaborated with a few pumpers and ICO peeps to do the coin, pump it wiht promises then dump on us, OR Barryzand is a genuine guy who just is very busy and doesn't get on the thread much but others have used the coin and pumped and dumped it.. Let's hope the 2nd one is at least true and we have hope still. I think Barry has been around long enough to know you don't promote the shit out of a coin, promise updates. web sites and more and then bugger off for a week without keeping the thread updated. It takes a couple of minutes to pop in and just say hi. sorry very busy at mo, but will be here every day to answer questions etc. I don't care how busy your real life is, why do we call it real life ?, crypto is part of your real life and treat it as such. We are investing REAL money into these coins. Well said cj, well said!! I know and I am in a bad situation at the moment but still holding on in hope. Yesterday, I imported my ICO account to the Chrome Client and waited for my Waves to come in. They did a couple of hours later. So far so good.
Today I noticed that the funds have been sent elswewhere. And the balance is now showing up again in my ICO account. What has happened here?
(1) Was I hacekd and my funds stolen?
(2) Or were the funds sent back to the ICO account for whatever reason?
If (2) is correct: Why was that the case? And when will the funds go back to my client address?
For me the address that is shown on the ICO account is the one have to login with in the lite client They both show the same amount of Waves. Is the address in your wallet the same as the one in the ICO account? Yes, addresses are the same. I see an outgoing payment from today, though, and the balance in the vlient is now zero. The ICO page shows a "balance". But as I now understand it is not my balance but rather the initial amount of waves received. So I got hacked and the funds were stolen. I had a bad feeling about using a chrome client in the first place. Should have listened to that feeling. Lesson learned. this seems like a pretty serious issue. you should post the transaction info so some super sleuths maybe can help since its not on an exchange yet maybe easier to trace how do think it happened? It happened by (1) me being stupid (2) me being even more stupid (3) me being under stress becuase of hundred other tasks to do (4) the lite client not giving any information on how the ICO import works (that could have saved me -- but, of course, I am responsible for my own error). So here is what I did: Trying to import my ICO I found this button "generate seed". I thought this meant something like "generate new wallet". But I wanted to import my already existing ICO account. So what did I do? I pasted the waves address in the box and generated my address, because I thought at that moment it would be my private unique address. Needless to say that this address is very much public information. In short: I just did not understand in that particular moment that "Seed=privatekey=ultimate password overriding everysthing elese" but isntead thought some ICO information from me is needed. --> The whole issue is not a problem for waves security but only for my sanity. I am so sorry for your loss, maybe you can contact someone now on WAVES Slack to see if they can trace the hacked funds and confiscate them form the hacker? |

If dev comes back to life and does open webshop this coin will go crazy for sure. But all in limbo mode now, on a gut feeling I think he'll return Well hopefully in 8 days we will know either or, as that was the day he posted he was going to open the webshop. I HOPE that no one dumps and then suddenly he turns up when everyone has dumped lol I pray people will have patience a bit. |

I think we all need to be a little more professional they way we discuss our trading/ICO strategies to encourage more lay people to take part in CRYPTO CURRENCIES in general, otherwise this COULD put potential serious investors off. Just a note form a lady who is more advanced in years lol. Plus I say this as a fellow crypto friend, no harm intended . You are totally on with that post qiwoman. We need to be more accepting and less trolling. A whole new wave of people are about to enter bitcoin and the best practice for us is to welcome them in a warm and inviting atmosphere. YES, MAIN PROBLEM IS MOST SERIOUS INVESTORS THINK THE DIGITAL CURRENCY MARKETS ARE RIGGED AND CONTROLLED BY A FEW RUTHLESS PUMP and dumping whales so we need to come out of that negative light and also attract more of us women into the field.
