I used to invest as a technology lover, but everything seemed to be against me. I hold and everyone sell off, even for ETH and the alts have great technology. I know that investing in technology will bring a lot of value to our market, but it seems we alone do it. and when going against the crowd, we will pay a heavy price.
That's probably because you invested when that particular coin is been hyped and price is skyrocketing so you think your investing because of the technology that project has to offer meanwhile you're just chasing after the profit that project can bring. ETH was over price so was most other alts during the 2017 bull market. In situations like that, you should turn into a trader or take short term profit. When you invest in a project under development without any visible product and give the excuse of investing because of the technology that's not wiseness sincyyoureq blindly entrusting your funds to a project that has no guarantee of succeeding. The industry is a very competitive and there are tons of project you can invest in with technology as backing. Technology only shouldn't be the only criteria but it should be consider just as I highlighted in the main OP. |

It's not right or wrong to join bounties instead it's a privilege to join one and you're always welcome to participate in any of them advertising on the forum provided they're legitimate and not promoting spamming on the forum. People only advice not to participate in them because most of them this days aren't worth it and they make your post history messed up with social media report which is likely to reduces your chances of getting accepted into a bitcoin paying signature campaign. These days there aren't much bitcoin paying campaigns so if you come across a promising bounty and you feel like joining, do join them but always takes out times to clean up your account once that bounty has ended. Delete the bounty reports as they're no longer useful but only makes your post history messed up. PS: As a manager, an account that has several post history of engaging in quality discussion on the forum has a greater chance of getting accepted into any campaign that I'm managing irrespective of that account having some bounty reports but when an account post history is just filled up with bounty reports and apply to join a signature campaign under my management, they'll get rejected. |

Seen discussion about how Corona virus has affected football in Europe but many seems to forget Europe football clubs aren't the only affected ones. Seems you're misunderstanding what stablecoins were developed for. It was developed with the intention to save your investment from crashing down due to a bear market and not to give you profits. Irrespective of the initial motives behind creation of stablecoins, it can still be used as an investment vehicles if only you're opportune to catch dip of the stablecoins and invest when everyone is panic selling their stablecoins. You're better off patronizing any other stablecoin than Libra (that's if the project successfully gets the approval of the US government and launches). It'll just be a centralized piece of trash and your security won't be respected just as it's with your fiat currency. |

Those fraud schemes were even there since a few years ago. Us, who are aware of this can easily avoid them but the newbies will have a hard time determining for these frauds because they don't have experience or they don't have someone to guide them and tell them which is the fraud and which is not. In these times, it's ok to avoid being greedy too. We're all in need and we want to have profit but being greedy can lead you to become a victim.
That's why they have a community forum like bitcointalk where warnings like what the OP has done is been posted daily and encourage to become a normal practice. Total abstaining from donating online via cryptocurrency is the most effective way to avoid falling victim to these scams or only trust already well established organization like exchanges, wallet providers, gambling sites etc that are organizing this charity donations to assist those protecting us from the virus or affected patient. These scams can't easily be eliminated from the industry since it's an industry built on decentralization, putting the security of our funds in our hands. Taking into consideration the nature and redundancy of Bitcoin technology and the difficulty in scaling, I am very curious to know if Bitcoin protocol will be dropped one day and another coin build to take its place. because now it's almost like the redundancy of Bitcoin and the time it takes for a transaction to be processed is part of what is affecting its mainstream adoption as a currency. please share your thoughts.
Utility wise that's very possible, I read some reports on stablecoins been one of the most used cryptocurrency so far and its trading volumes has surpassed that of bitcoin but when it coins to adoption and market capitalization I don't think any altcoins has what it'll take so surpassed that of bitcoin. Many projects have tried in the past but failed. Ethereum which was showing a very strong force has been left behind as a result of the 2018/2019 bear market crashed. Xrp also showed some positive sighs but couldn't retain that force the moment the untrustworthy operation of the coins came into the news. Libra was also one the speculative project to give bitcoin a run for it's money but that project has been put on hold so we're yet to see it try and fail as that's obviously it's fate. |

Before now, they have successfully tested the platform via its testnet that ended successfully few months back. The project is a very controversial one as it has promised a launched date and fail in the past (twice) but this current timeframe looks achievable as they now have new developers that are the best in the games with multiple awards. The project looks very promising to one that's obviously why I have invested and had this patience holding the coin. |

in fact, the CMC site is a trusted site and displays coin data accurately. and not much different from the CoinGecko site also displays coins, prices, and exchanges correctly. but over time everything turns to bullshit.

Coinmarketcap was previously independent and operating without paying no respect to any exchange but since the acquisition by Binance I don't think I can rely on them for accurate information anymore although before the acquisition their stats report became questionable. If I'm forced to choose between the two, I'll prefer getting my stats report from coingecko most especially as they're still independent. Coinmarketcap is more popular and has more traffic among the cryptocurrency community with very friendly interface and quite easy to understand so I guess that's why they're the preferred choice by most cryptocurrency enthusiasts. |

It surprises me that the developed countries are finding it difficult to contain the spread of the virus yet the underdeveloped countries are puting out with low numbers figure like they got everything under control which obviously that's not the case.
I'm very sure the reason for this is that in those underdeveloped countries, testing facilities are not available/sufficient, they cannot match the number of tests run per day in the more civilized countries in Europe, so when you're not testing citizens, the number will look unrealistically small as it is now. I'm sure if the number of tests run in America or Italy is done in one of this underdeveloped countries, they'll find out how much of a problem they have in hand, but blindly do not know. Thought as much too, if I'm not mistaking a country like Nigeria (most populous Africa country) with over 200million individuals (occupants) has just been able to complete approximately 7000 tests and from that 7000, they have already recorded over 490+ positive cases with 17 confirmed death. Now since the government are aware they're not carrying out enough test to get the appropriate number of infected individuals why don't they disclose this to their citizens instead of acting like they're truely containing the spread of the virus. The lockdown won't be around for as long as we all are thinking if not the economy of the world will crash, premier league could have easily resume but I guess they're just trying to comply with the decision of the government body of the United kingdon. Moreover the June/July prediction looks very achievable. |

I think China are definitely lying about their death numbers, they’re just trying to make it look more realistic which it doesn’t. How could they possibly have so few deaths, it’s ridiculous.
Obviously what else do we expect when every country is trying to lie in order not to create panic thinking they're doing their citizens more good than harm. My concern when it comes to the statistics of this virus is the low figure coming from the underdeveloped countries mostly in Africa. Anyway your strategy is fine considering you are trading cryptocurrencies which is a total gamble. As per your strategy. Your general overview scope ia just daily and it's somehow dangerous if you keep using that strategy while the monthly graph pointing out that the direction is going to the opposite side of your bet.
Thought as much the moment I read through his explanation but since from my experience in the industry I have come to understand that different strategy works just fine for different Individuals (traders) therefore maybe this is just what works for him. It works in two ways for me although I recorded more success when I just buy and hold then sell to take some profit when I see the an opportunity like most pumps that if you have observe the market for quite some time you could easily identify them as spikes and not healthy market growth that in matter of hours they'll retraced back.
My first trading strategy has to do with buying on fud, when there's panic in the market that's when I step in to get some cheap coins. I don't always get my timing right but in situations like that I result to holding instead of panic selling. I differentiate my trading coins from my investment ones that obviously won't be disturb for a very long time.
My second strategy has to do with buying the rumor in anticipating for a spike. I'm more of an occasional trader, I hardly trade on a regular base but don't miss an opportunity when I see one.

For me in 2020, I still haven't gotten a big win, only won $ 70 when playing dice. Some jackpot tickets haven't some were successful,
