5661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Airdrop Nobody is Talking About, shhh. on: October 03, 2020, 11:04:40 AM
I think after the uniswap airdrop. Lots of new airdrop becomes to be introduced, if you are always on telegram and join major groups, you will noticed a lot of airdrops. Well I cant blame it, after the un airdrop more people got interested again just like the airdrop OP listed. But I just warned everyone to always be vigilant some of these ( majority) are gonna be used for scam attempt.
5662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you leverage the power of your Bitcoins? on: October 03, 2020, 10:30:28 AM
My question is if you found any ways to leverage your Bitcoin while you hold it?
examples:
- Taking a collateralized loan - Where would you invest this loan? A business, real estate, etc.
- Putting it into a interest account.
- Lending it.

Actually I cant do much about my bitcoin to increase its aside from the value it is given on particular time. So I am converting my bitcoin to some useful tokens that can gain some more profits by farming other tokens that can be sell. I like bitcoin but the rate of what I can earn from other coin is much more profitable. I do hold some bitcoin though for long term but majority of my asset is on altcoins that are staked or at farm.

I also sell some of my btc with my peers that are interested with a good rate offering them a good price instead of incurring thirdparty app.

5664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ORAO[Polkadot oracle] on: October 03, 2020, 07:37:46 AM
Where did you heard that?
Just visiting the link and it's only showing Logo, Description and link to google form.

Can you send me the source that they have solid team? I don't even see the team on the website

This is an obvious shill. How come a person knows the potential of a project with this kind of website, also only link you to a cotnributions form. Isnt that weird? Projects that are solid shows information that makes it solid. With this website, I can only see a name of the project and few details wouldnt let me fill up the form hence putting a money on such thing I wouldnt know if really good.

Anyway a polka related project is a hype but without content this can be a shitcoin alone.
5665  Economy / Speculation / Re: will early sellers buy back in eventually? Will lambo buyers trade the lambo4btc on: October 03, 2020, 04:47:34 AM
imagine all those people who sold Apple, Microsoft, Amazon in the 1999 bubble. I bet they own those stocks again, probably cashed out and bought a lambo, only to buy back the  shares at double to even 10x the price. will the same happen to bitcoin?
This is possible. I think the crash happened already last March where those big time gainers probably bought a lot of it. Now bitcoin is at 10k level, if we see a surpass on ATH then those guys will surely dumped again. Anyway a good way to see it in a possible way is bitcoin will definitely do a 50k new ATH. If that happened then the whole market will have an epic bull run.
5666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time in Ethereum's history, miners made more from fees than from block on: October 02, 2020, 07:35:46 AM
Of course, they would lol with the gas fees as high as 800 GWEI what else can we expect. Ethereum is giving its miners one of the best parting gifts
Seems reasonable to feed them off fees. Of course they knew that PoS is cominy these miners will be needed to pick a new coin to mine, as PoS will totally be an independent system which doesnt need any miners. Anyway with the current fees Im sure all miners on the eth network are quite happy to see some really good gains. But of course this is bad news for users that paying large huge chunk of fees.
5667  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to add/pinned a clear rule in Gambling section. on: October 02, 2020, 05:46:56 AM
Maybe adding Altcoin Gambling section would be a good idea also.
I did see some suggestions before about putting up an altcoin gambling section due to confusions to those who are accepting altcoins as well. But some platform have btc accepted and also introduced altcoins too. So this would be a clesr conflict of the suggestion. How does the forum will incorporate those mixture and create a rule for that.

If gambling section is purely for btc related casinos then there is a big revision needed to be made since Ive mentioned that some of them already incorporate altcoins. Maybe better to stick with it for a while and let mods analyse if the suggestion is feasible and could benefit the forum.
5668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investment in cryptocurrency on: October 02, 2020, 03:58:57 AM
I want to invest my savings but I have no idea which is best place to invest some money. One of my friend suggest me to get a cryptocurrency. But my query is cryptocurrency safe?
This is bit scary, when someonr saying to invest his "savings" into crypto. Better not, cause you are putting your money at risk. Only invest what you can stake or accept to lose here. Cryptocurrency is an innovative blockchain product where it can be used to various application however these products arent guaranteed and can only make you loss money if something gone wrong. There are some who earn good but of course they kniw the potential of losing too. Every investment has risk and crypto is way more volatile and highly risky business. Better to do research first.
5669  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] HelioSwap plagiarized whitepaper! on: October 02, 2020, 03:19:58 AM
I'm not really into DeFi and I stay away from it. One thing always surprises me is the fact that scammers tend to copy well known projects, while that generally makes it easier to spot.
If youre not a risk taker and believe in much fundemantel of blockchain like bitcoin then no need for you mate to enter defi shit. Im just really a risk taker thats why Im getting fomo with some of these, since I earned from them. But not advisable to everyonr to follow cause the risk is too high. So this helioswap must be same.

For example, part of the whitepaper was written in subpar English, and then suddenly you have parts clearly written by someone fluent. That's a big red flag, and usually means that part has been copied.
Damn so its still manual checking. I admire you bro, finding it wasnt easy. I never posted copied whitepaper on my scam topics, so Im asking a better way to locate them. Anyway thanks for the suggestion.
5670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN ONE KNOW A FAKE AIRDROP? on: October 01, 2020, 07:22:56 AM
Anytime I go into my telegram account, I see countless number of airdrop with countless offers but the challenge is trying to know which of this airdrop that is genuine.
If the airdrop asked for payment or any funds needed before claiming the tokens then its a scam. Airdrop means free token for supporting them or any form of promotional. So if you pay to received a coin or token then thats not airdrop and more like an investment since you paid for it.

From this you can easily checked if that is legit or not. Most scams asked for eth and will tell you to send money on them. Sometime we are wrong but giving you only a suggestion on some scam airdrop works.
5671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to cancel transaction on ETH network? on: October 01, 2020, 06:17:33 AM

Is anybody here have an idea on how to cancel pending transaction on ETH network?

Check out the link of JeromeTash posted. Thats a good guide for cancelling and editing transaction.

Also may I know what wallet you are using? Do you use a third party app to send and received eth? The best wallet for me is metamask cause features ate there whether you wanted to do something like replacing gas fee or cancelling unlike third party app that doesnt have much at least for some.
5672  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Exposed SCAMS] by notblox1 on: October 01, 2020, 05:44:19 AM
Wow your list expanding mate. I should have catch up to find those little scam shits so my list would increase too. Thanks mate for contributing more on forum and saving newbies, from these scammers. Being a scam hunter is tough and also need dedication. I admire mostly of those sincr they are helping others by showing these warning and cautions to these fraudulent activites. Keep it up!
5673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Bitcointalk sticky threads] Newbies - read before starting. on: October 01, 2020, 05:27:01 AM
Damn this is the kind of post you throw merit for the effort  of a user. Drop 1 for you OP!

I just hope it persists much on the front page and it's click bait enough for new users to run through.
No problem as long as OP will keep this thread updated it will be bump and noticed on this section. For a low rank, this is good start and a very well created index.

I do hope OP you would continue to update this thread and add more useful threads. There are still good post missing but I will let you searched those and add it. Spending time also on search function is a good practice to see the redundant topic and the appropriate post to list here.
5674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: October 01, 2020, 04:34:56 AM
The chances of finding a promising bounty project now is very low, most new bounties are riding DeFi craze only and they are useless
Actually I agree. The only legit project I could say for now is dia campaign which was promoted by BubbleAlex, but also there is a new campaign worth joining on defi related.

Found out about this KittieFight. The project seems to have potential. On my researched they did, enlisted on cmc and has a good partnership.

https://coinmarketcap.com/headlines/news/defi-lending-platforms/

https://twitter.com/2keyNetwork/status/1310974709534789632?s=19

Seems interesting. Since they involve cryptokittie game, yieldfarming, lending and much more featured.
5675  Other / Meta / Re: With money, comes fame. True words. A "Thank You" message inside. on: October 01, 2020, 04:07:31 AM
As for ChipMixer, didn't know a campaign could last this long to be honest. Safe to assume that this campaign is helping the ChipMixer business a lot hence why it's still running after a couple of years.
Few years and still running. I think chipmixer would last more than it is now. It did helping them cause otherwise they already stopped it. Also I think most of the CM users are quite famous for their quality contributions. Not to mentioned those AI guys and direct to the point response just like you mate. No wonder the entry level is quite high to be part of CM family.
5676  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: UniSwap New Airdrop On Telegram... Real Or Fake? on: September 30, 2020, 07:33:34 AM
Good morning from this part of the world guys

So guys, am moving this thread to scam scam accusations

That's were it should belong... Thanks guys

Ive saw this airdrop. At first Im bit tempted but when I checked the uniswap main twitter and other important site which shows no airdrop announcement then its obviously another hype scam. After uniswap airdrops become a thing again and unfortunately some of these are totally fake and useless. Its hard to find a legit airdrop that is worth lile uni, aside from the many, but didnt make it on that one too.
5677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My take on DeFi bounties on: September 30, 2020, 07:22:53 AM
1. Why are almost all bounties released today DeFi projects?
This is the new flavor and favorites of majority. So its not shocking that most new projects will favor defi related.

2. Most of these projects have no information about team (They are complete anonymous)
This is because majority of them too are planning to do an exit scam which probably the case here. I know some of them might be legit but you can tell based on the product which one has really serious approach.

Furthermore, thats the only thing we can observed. But I will not pick any new bounty at the moment considering that chances are all of them are scam.
5678  Other / Meta / Re: Most referenced threads and posts on: September 30, 2020, 02:25:47 AM
So here is a list of the most referenced posts within Bitcointalk. A reference is a quote or a link inside a post (not e.g. in a signature). There is at least one known issue - because human - the first post of a thread is counted separately from a link to the thread without the "msg" part.
Nice data set suchmoon. Does it count even the quoted message post or thread, has been labeled as snipped or only those with contain message inside?

How do you able to configure this anyway? It seems a tough work to know which post or message has been quoted. Really an AI job.

So this post is the highest quoted post?

Bitfinex

Explanation

Explanation
Chartbuddy provides a chart which shows the change of the market depth with time.

Chart shows the market depth for the last hour, the beginning of the hour at the back, latest time at the front. The bids (what people are willing to pay) stack up on the left and the asks (what people are wanting to get paid) stack up on the right.

A depth chart indicates how much it would conceivably take to shift the price. Note that orders can be cancelled so judgement should be applied. Large orders produce a large vertical part on the chart or a "wall". By watching how walls are added, moved or removed, it is possible to make a judgement of market sentiment (or arguably just observe attempts at market manipulation).

The large numbers at the top are the latest values for the closest bids and asks. The difference between these is the "spread".

World times are also listed for several major cities.
Interesting. When I clicked the number 1 I thought why WO is popping, and the number 1 spot falls to a very quality response.
5679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of this new scam method. on: September 30, 2020, 02:00:54 AM
Do people really do this?
Selling their etherwallet...
It's really confusing what comfort the buyer has in knowing that you've got the private key and yet moves to buy.

Yes people will do anything to take advantage of the free money that uni gave. Of course that will tempt someone if he has no idea of the drop right? I know it sounds really greedy but what we can do, they like to earn as much by tricking people.

No one in their right mind sell a wallet for none value. Of course there is hint with it. Its like they know you had find a treasure only you didnt know it yet. So his offering a tip of that treasure value so when you agree you realize you you lose more.
5680  Other / Archival / Re: [DeFi EXIT SCAM] HATCH DAO on: September 29, 2020, 05:41:51 AM
This will surely put a dent on trust swap reputation. Washing hands just because the scammers out of their leash escape. Not sure how come the tech overuled or there is a error on thr smart lock? I doubt it. This was intentional and probably a way to launder money. I didnt enter hatch dao due to lack of eth funds but Im glad I missed it as price tank so much in a downward projections.

Now trust swap trusted investors are now in doubt probably.
