5661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Investro using fake team member photo+ ANN thread shilling! on: November 11, 2020, 03:26:21 AM
Ive supported the flag mate. You never failed to find those damn scammers. Defi is being haunted by these guys by introducing a copied paste platform and even used social personality to their own greed.

I wish our forum users will maintain enough distance from this type of baseless projects who have only ability of stealing other people’s identity.
We can only wish for that, we all knew they will always come back with brand new identity and keep changing project names. Worse are always using other people identity.

Time to add both Investro and Base Protocol to that infamous list of ANN threads that are using bumping services
Really base protocol? I am watching for this one since then, they have some good partnership and probably a gem based on our signal group. I dont know why they resort to bumping services in spite og a good stance of their project.
5662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Metamask Swap Clarification on: November 10, 2020, 06:43:42 AM
What is your recommended percentage of "slippage" if I were going to use the custom button in Metamask? Does it affect the amount of ETH you will going to receive? Based on my findings, the higher the amount of slippage the lesser the quantity of the coin/token you are swapping to.
This is depend. When you are gonna trading your tokens into eth, I suggest used lower slippage that is likely to be accepted but will not trigger cancelled cause its also affect the eth you will received exchanging your tokens. Remember they have fees and thats where liquidity provider earned. Ive used higher slippage when I am insisting to buy a token that is hype so my transaction would pushed through. There is a thing called front end and these sucks the trading cause everyone wanted to go in they increasing their slippage making lower slippage figures cancelled.
5663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Metamask Swap Clarification on: November 10, 2020, 06:11:44 AM
I dont yet used metamask swap function but if its work like uniswap then clearly the estimate network fee will be deducted on your balance holding in your wallet and not on the eth equivalent when you did the swapped.

Another thing is, when swapping, what is the preferred percentage of "slippage"?
Always make sure that you used higher slippage than the one popping on the dapp to be able to swap properly. Using a low than the recommended resulting to cancelled transaction, and eth gas fee will still be deducted even it got cancelled.

I don't know which board to post since most of Altcoin Discusssion were full megathreads.
This is a nice topic. But the section this must be posted is on Altcoin discussion board. If you dont want it to be mega thread then you should made this topic, self moderated so you could see repetitive answers and deleted it to avoid spam.
5664  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam defi projects OPM, PDAI, DFIX, EGGY, BEERS, KIWI, PANCAKE, CHEESE on: November 10, 2020, 05:45:17 AM
Personally i am observing some DeFi projects recent price history and i got nothing but sudden price bump or dump on some specifc exchanges. Craze of DeFi is going on and investors are following them to make good profits in a short time and i don't think its gonna continue for long.
I am doing this mate. Riding some crazy defi hype even for low quality projects and I could say money can easily generated when hype pours in. Same goes with fud it can dragged price easily. In my experience and rate until now. I could say its going down now. People become tired of continouos rugged and scammed by these same people. Yeah they are just the same people creating and making new projects everyday. Better to play games on a medium risk projects at least to be more safe.
5665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Joe Biden’s Crypto Impact Is Unclear As He Wins Presidency on: November 10, 2020, 05:19:07 AM
So let's not get worried at this time because no one knows what policy impact Joe will bestow upon the market. Just wait and watch! The price drop has nothing to do with US presidential election. It is possibly a profit booking menace we have seen!
Not worried about it. Some of  Joe campaign funds have been givem from a crypto exchange, taking gratitude for something like that will show some manners on his status. I know its shouldnt but if you are the winner of the election and you used funds from a certain perspective such as crypto would you do some appreciation?

Anyway, I think somehow it got affected the market, since we all knew news output easily generate hype and fud over the market.
5666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum User Spends $9,500 in Fees Sending Just $120 on: November 09, 2020, 10:55:19 AM
What you think about these errors? What did you think about miners that decide to keep this fees?
Actually the miner has no responsibility to return it. It was the error of the sender probably rushing to set his high gas on a wrong field. Probably this is a degen player whom made a huge mistake during gas war on presale.

This mistake wont happened if the sender isnt rushing. What more could be the reason on this right? Ive been staying on degen play within shitcoin on uniswap and I could say that these people are really spending much on gas in order to execute or to beat front end orders. Well too bad he made a really big mistake. But I will be glad if the miner would return it.

5667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ways to earn USD on Binance don't need to be traded! on: November 09, 2020, 08:33:59 AM
Binance has a few great ways to make money that you can refer to such as:
Flexible staking (you can stake the coins supported by Binance, enjoy interest and withdraw at any time)
Hold BNB to receive airdrop SXP token
and many other ways.
Maximum profit is never redundant.

Binance coin is my favorite coin actually. Its one of the coin that when you hold you ripped all the benefits of every promotions and reward in their exchange.

1. IEO - this is one of your privilege got a chance to win tickets for good projects.
2. Launchpool - By simply staking bnb, and even busd you are earning tokens. This is advisable if you are whales surely you can earn decent tokens.
3. Savings - same goes for launchpool, and recently they introduced binance vault which is a combination of different rewards in one.

I think I always retain holding bnb till the end. Im sure CZ will always have some gifts to bnb holders.
5668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be brought into DeFi’s orbit on: November 09, 2020, 06:22:45 AM
DeFi projects that are ethereum tokens but are still reflecting their marketcap and prices in bitcoin but bitcoin community do not recognize them as bitcoin, example is Wrapped BTC. Although I saw it on the news like that but truly in our opinion and it is very clear that they are actually not bitcoin but altcoins.
Wbtc is clearly an altcoin. But what surprise me is the actual conversion of it into bitcoin. As you can see, they have different network and wbtc is an erc20 token whilw btc have his own. Curious to know what is the sole purpose of wbtc aside form tradinh it naturally on dex and easily unwrapping it as bitcoin or exchange like binance convert it 1:1 without much hassle.

If DeFi projects are basically built on bitcoin blockchian, will the bitcoin tokens still be regarded as altcoins?
Technically yes. Whatever they said its bitcoin still, the fact that they uses the token smart contract of ethereum to mint those then its an altcoin.
5669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit found me on: November 09, 2020, 05:41:16 AM
I have viewed merit to be very difficult to have until I found out I've got one already. I didn't even notice it at first because, my mind wasn't there, I just came to the forum to search for information as it is my best chance of getting familiar with Bitcoin and the forum and just then, I noticed I've got one.
Congrats on your first merit. It seems the comment you dis was eye catching from the author. Technically you should not viewed merits and just focus on socializing here. Some users got their merits so fast without even thinking if they will received or not. That should be the mind set of most newbies when it comes on posting here. Should contribute some cool and useful information and trust me, merit will come to you.

It is only given not to you but to your deserving posts or comments. It's a way to say I like this for me and it's good. I just hope I'm on point in this or get the right idea.
Thats the thing about merit. You can acquire it even on just your response on certain comments. It is not only coming from an original post but as well on useful response from you that help someone or like what you said.
5670  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitmax.io Scamed? on: November 08, 2020, 11:17:46 AM
Who knows or who worried about bitmax.io? It's not working at least 9 hours...
This happened during the bitcoin steadily increasing right? Seems like a tactics for me. They know people would want to cash out some profits, it happened so many times on other major exchanges too like Binance they suddenly have glitches and some traders using future contract cant access due to this resulting to possible rekt. Anyway, bitmax is a top notch exchange, and I cant see them will exit soon as many traders also trusted them a bit. Ive also using this exchange but not as frequent to binance.
5671  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Uniswap and MEW on: November 08, 2020, 08:55:28 AM
Referral scam and phishing links are one of the fraud methods in the last century, people will become more aware of them and children will not believe them.
Once you see any referral airdrop that indicate uniswap giveaway then this is obviously 100% scam. Referrals arent bad but uniswap is a governance tokeb that are used for such proposals. If referral based project would used that and it not make no sense at all.

Damn rats. Cant keep their works quietly, they always thought some will always fall for this kind of common scam method.

There are bunch of such sites and many come every single day I doubt these threads help with anything.
If not, then at least it showcase information. How many chance a user drop by here and check this kind. Even though there are lots of sites everyday, sharing this would always be useful if not now maybe later on.
5672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is decentralized finance all about? on: November 08, 2020, 07:41:02 AM
The recent appearance of Defi project massively on services sections, Have kept me off balance. But I need to understand the future of Defi projects, and why stablecoin "Dai" is doing better than bitcoin and Ethereum on the long run? The disadvantages of DEFI project is an added thank you.  Grin
Defi projects work differently. Actually its just a termed for a dapp that works like in real finance system like lending, savings or even farming which can be noted as simulatenosuly with staking. Seriously it is just a staking for me that let you actually earned dividend.

I am also confuse why do you say that dai is better than ethereum in the long run, like its a stablecoin and lack progress in terms of price. While eth has a lot of use cases on different field.
5673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any relation between market dump and Biden's win? on: November 08, 2020, 07:22:25 AM
Do you see that guys, the price of cryptocurrencies are in red since Joe Biden crosses the required number of place to become president?

Almost every crypto is in red at the hourly candle and what's your opinion with the dump caused especially after such news?

Price pulled back probably will be related to Biden's win. Obviously those who are favors in trump dont like the idea of Bidens handling the US now. There are some whom fear that Biden might be strict or less favoring crypto market and so pulling out without any hesitations. But there are news that an exchange support Biden's campaign so likely he should be grateful to that act and be righteous to any decision his going to make in relation to crypto development.
5674  Economy / Speculation / Re: All time high is just around the corner are you selling all on: November 07, 2020, 01:09:48 PM
Remember whatever happens only invest what you can afford to lose, there is a big temptation to put everything, but the market is still volatile it's never steady it never was.
I would never bought at this rate now. I am bit lucky I have btc paid campaign so at least I could save as much as sack as possible but of course not to big. I am bit more holding other altcoins such as bnb and eth for a while, and some potential coins. Bitcoin is good to go and I am excited to see altcoins makes their way to the top again. Hopefully the defi trend will continue to do good and those fake defi projects will stop.

Bitcoin truly proves that they are the number 1 coin in this market. Seems like were closing to the previous ATH.
5675  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Fake ETHEREUM staking website on: November 07, 2020, 08:51:15 AM
I do hope none could be victimized of this fake ethereum staking website especially the value that will be deposited is so high 32eth is not a joke. Once you deposited it on a scam one like this, I cant even express myself how lonely will I have and depression.

Thanks for sharing this mate. Hope those who are hooked with eth 2.0 staking will be vigilant of this cause seriously its not funny when you fall on this kind of trap.

Reported it to Google phishing site.
Good job on reporting mate. Hope this will turn down soon.
5676  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One year on the forum -encouragement- on: November 07, 2020, 07:26:55 AM
You must have to forgive me is I am at writing this too excited about being one year on Bitcointalk forum. To be its like I had added a year to my own age, o,boy its been exciting, I still full percent consider myself at a learner but thanks to the forum I have been able to grow its been a glorified privilege every inch of the way.
There is nothing to ask for forgiveness mate. Many have done the same for some achievement they did acquire or did contributions for the forum. Thanks for the list youve shared, and as a co user here we are greatly appreciated the effort youve did on helping others. You are quite brilliant actually its so hard to have some contributions here without an actual dedication on the forum. Everyone keeps learning and improving and I salute you for contuing this act.
5677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 DeFi projects to watch in 2020 🎯 on: November 06, 2020, 02:31:17 PM
I prefer DeFi coins which have big market cap like Chainlink, Uniswap, Maker DAO, etc,
market capitalization is very important to keep prices stable

Yeah it is. Actually the list are all good, among the list on the OP, I think uniswap has more room for growth. Since their platform has been used always, we can see that uni tokens can be of great used as governance tokens to develop more request and proposal on the network. I like the idea that they made governance tokens cause it can build a good relationship among all uniswap traders.
5678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happened to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: November 06, 2020, 09:09:54 AM
They cant really ban crypto, anyway. However, if they make it illigal, this will dump the industry so hard
Actually they can, some countries already did banning crypto usage on their domain and sovereignity. Its not that even though it is decentralized it can never be touch. Russia an anti crypto country already set up some ground rules probably some countries too. I know a lot like cryptocurrency but we can never control some people for hating it. Yes blockchain has potential to used on various means and I can say its good but even so, industry price will depend on the market not by silly propaganda.
5679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger owners lose 1.1 million XRP!! on: November 06, 2020, 07:06:35 AM
Ive read the articles. In my opinion there is some issue of leaked data on the ledger few months back and if those lesked information goes to a bad person that usually do scam then he knows whose to target and probably follow by keeping him preoccupied with links with phishing attack. I clearly can sense this kind of responsibility too on part of ledger.

They did say that the leaked were overcome but how true? I know phishing to a scam site is individual own fault when got victimized but there is an inside incident on ledger part thats wht we dont know if they are also not to blame here.
5680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: lose money by swapping a fake coin in uniswap on: November 06, 2020, 03:59:08 AM
Have you experience swap a coin and it fails but you pay fees?
this is some of the issues by newbies, also experience this kind of issue which in the start I ignore this one, but realized I waste my money
mostly this is fake coins, from fake airdrops, why I'm telling this, is because we can save a dollar or more by avoiding these mistakes.

This means either the deployer of the token has been removed or liquidity has been pulled out already. Some codes has been applied to different function and chance that the smart contract got rigged is high. Ive experienced some of these from my degen plays and trades. I knew that the dev is anon team but of course as you define the word "degen means" 100% risky play. I loss some of my money on these shitcoins but also I gained amazing profits on some. But to not waste time, better to study the contract code if there are some unusual codes input prior to investing.
