WARNING: SCAM PROJECT

This is a scam project that has plagiarized several elements of TrueUSD (TUSD) and USDCoin (USDC).

In addition, large parts of its white paper have been plagiarized from other sources. For example,

From the TrustUSD white paper:

Quote
To maintain price parity, algorithm-backed stable coins attempt to control their money supply
through monetary policy. They do this by expanding and contracting the available supply of coins on the
market. For example, if the price of a stable coin is too high, the stable coin protocol’s algorithm will
mint new units and introduce them into the market — increasing the supply until price parity. If the
price is too low, the algorithm will contract the supply until the price target is met.

From an article on thebitcoinpub written a year prior:

Quote
To maintain price parity, algorithm-backed stablecoins attempt to control their money supply through monetary policy. They do this by expanding and contracting the available supply of coins on the market. For example, if the price of a stablecoin is too high, the stablecoin protocol’s algorithm will mint new units and introduce them into the market — increasing the supply until price parity. If the price is too low, the algorithm will buy up the stablecoin on the market by selling bonds at a discount.

Its word-for-word plagiarism.

There are no details provided about how this project tends to increase the value of its tokens, just promises of "because it will go up in value." The team of newb shills constantly talking about how great this project is in such a cheesy fashion is also a dead giveaway of its non-authenticity.

This project is definitely a scam.

I was a giant dick for my first 2 years or so at the forum, which was mainly because I was unhappy with my work situation.

Thanks to bitcoin, the blockchain and other cryptocurrencies, I have since remedied that problem, and now am only a medium dick.

Its true, she really did say that.

The first comment purge has happened. I deleted one TwitchySeal post so that I can claim to be fair & balanced.

I expect to see a techole REEEEEE thread about this any moment now.

Edit: its already been created! That was fast! Cheesy
5665  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM Alert] Multiple Fake BTC Giveaway Live Streaming Videos on Youtube! on: January 06, 2020, 04:39:34 PM
I've been managing a Telegram group for a while and even though I've turned off picture commenting and such, every once in a while a bot sneaks in and posts a link to one of those videos. Which is weird because I thought YouTube was really cracking down on crypto-related stuff.

Apparently scammers can upload the video and have enough time to run the scam for it to be a profitable endeavor.
5666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGraffiti - Block Chain Message Encoder & Decoder on: January 06, 2020, 02:59:39 PM
This topic is about saving messages and multimedia on the block chain of BitCoin. As much as you have the itch to discuss Craig Wright here, it is still offtopic and should be avoided.

You mean Bitcoin SV, which is a fork of Bitcoin Cash, which is a fork of Bitcoin.

If BSV is the "original bitcoin", why does its code contain changes made by Greg Maxwell and Amaury Sechet?

Craig is the lead developer of your coin -- the ruse that he is Satoshi is inexorably tied to the value of your coin.
5667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoGraffiti - Block Chain Message Encoder & Decoder on: January 06, 2020, 02:44:02 PM
Wow, you've apparently gone full-on troll. What a shame to see talents wasted in such fashion.

Well, have fun doing whatever it is you do. Just don't expect anybody around here to believe anything you have to say, about anything.

It's really laughable that in 2020 we have still people around who live in denial  Grin

It certainly is.

but all will be clear by the end of this year.

Wasn't it supposed to be clear by the beginning of this year? Craig talked mad shit about having a bonded courier deliver him private keys to his fabled bitcoin stash on 1/1/20 for years. So what happened??

Holy shit, just spent the last hour reading about what happened to American Pegasus.

What a bizarre tale.

https://np.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/cogbjt/this_guy_gets_it_5years_ago_look_at_how_he_was/ewidaol/

If its hard to follow, its because he transitioned into a she. And that's the least of his (her) problems.

Is this a machine learning bot post? Bitcoin has nothing to do with "prime numbers." Primecoin, on the other hand...

I disagree about the bolded sentence. ECDSA is pretty much about prime numbers.
-> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elliptic_Curve_DSA

But maybe I misunderstood you here or missed some irony, sorry then.

I stand corrected -- I was just trying to think of what bitcoin mining had to do with prime numbers and totally forgot about ECDSA's use of modulo p.

- hacker1001101001 (he may well be a decent guy with a shady past, but had a blank trust list up until last week; pretty weird for you to include him for reasons other than spite)

You are just making up things.

He has included me in the trust list pretty much from when mine one was blank, nothing was out of spite.

Why do you think he included you? I think its specifically because I excluded you, which happened before his inclusion.

Not addressing the off-topic parts of your reply.
5671  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Post Your Favorite Trump Memes Here on: January 06, 2020, 01:33:21 PM
.

Incorrect! You lose. That is neither a meme nor does it involve Trump. I suggest you remedy your cognitive ailments with a visit to a witch doctor of a tribe that still believes the earth is flat.

Bitcoin is a financial virus that will consume the value of all civilization. The only cure would be for humans to completely stop acting like humans and that isn't going to happen. Bitcoin will win because it is one of the most brilliant mathematical creations in the history of humanity, the ultimate application for those cool little prime numbers we discovered so many millenia ago.

All you can do now is understand that bitcoin isn't going away, and any time is a good time to invest in bitcoin. So don't worry about future crashes in the thousands, and tens of thousands of dollars. Bitcoin is the best form of money humanity has ever created and it's not going anywhere.

Is this a machine learning bot post? Bitcoin has nothing to do with "prime numbers." Primecoin, on the other hand...

I remember that American Pegasus guy when he was on the forum. Bright, but hard-headed and ruthless. Too unpalatable for my tastes. Apparently he didn't actually understand how bitcoin works, either. But that's not essential to profit from it.
5673  Economy / Reputation / Re: More abuse by TECSHARE NSFW reee(sponse) on: January 06, 2020, 12:50:40 PM
You sure are visibly spiteful today. So far you can read my mind, building trust over 8 years of trading is "trust farming" because you declare it so. I asked before but you never quoted, what retaliatory ratings? The one left for the hacked Koshgel account that flipped out because he didn't like what I had to say in the Politics section and decided that was a good use of the trust system? I remember the original Koshgel, that isn't him.

8 years LOL

You didn't even know that you need 10 users to include you until I told you.

But please do go ahead and explain how adding Quickseller to your trust list is totally normal in TECSHARE's alternative universe.

You know what that reminds me of? That time you pulled that live flamingo out of your ass. You know how I know it happened? I can imagine it therefore it happened.

(should I tell him? OK, I'm just going to tell him)

PrimeNumber7 is an alt of Quickseller. You have Quickseller distrusted and PN7 trusted. Which is funny. It was an inside joke, until now. You never traded with PN7, he only has left 3 ratings which were all neutral, he didn't add you to his trust list -- is the reason why you may have decided to include him this one?

anyone the resident clowns exclude I immediately find interest in.

Because PN7 had long been excluded by suchmoon and foxpup when you decided to include him, and lo and behold, the same week you added PN7 you also added by rallier, who is also excluded by suchmoon and foxpup.

I wonder which other questionable members, scammers, or their alts you have added to your trust list in an attempt to spite the resident clowns...

Oh, well we can start with:

- hacker1001101001 (he may well be a decent guy with a shady past, but had a blank trust list up until last week; pretty weird for you to include him for reasons other than spite)

- 3meek (distrusted by the Russian section moderator and several senior Russian members, but what do they know)

Long story short: you've been using the trust system to satisfy your personal grudges and ended up including Quickseller as a result of it. Further proof you belong nowhere near DT.

As far as ICOs go, this project is at the top, of course. They are very ambitious and they have a huge objective in mind – to be the world's first card of topological data. However, the technical part of this project is very interesting. I like the fact that this project takes the approach of creating a new payment mechanism, namely adaption of the current financial systems. This means that from the first payment the ICO will be working on the blockchain and with the ability to claim interest. This way, their project will be able to pay (out of)revenue – without a middle man. In fact, it means that a user can pay a third party with money (through the blockchain), have it credited to his account and then withdraw the money.

Perfect shitpost generator. Pretty soon the spambusters will have a whole new problem to solve on their hands.

Nutildah earns all his merits from both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, where he frequently posts pictures of himself playing with kittens and smoking a cigar.

"I prefer Twitter to Instagram as I am not on Facebook and I feel that is a lot less negative for my image," he explained.

But either way, viewers can see that the self-proclaimed "funny cats" — with whom he has over 1,200 followers — aren't boring. And that he's not deterred from his childish jokes.

"As a cat lover, I love to see cats laugh. They are always more entertaining than me! No doubt about it."

Did Paul Harvey have a podcast? I just remember during my brief 6 month stint as an AM radio fan he would read the news in 1-minute bursts, ending them with his signature "I'm Paul Harvey... Good day?" (it sounded like he was asking a question).

I used to be a huge podcast fan, was subscribed to 16 different ones at one point. I would download some fresh eps onto my iPod, smoke some weed, and hike through the forests of Hawaii. It was a lot of fun. When I cut weed out of my regimen, along with it went podcasts... I used to listen to a lot of comedy podcasts which just aren't nearly as funny when you're not high. Its also harder to put up with Doug Benson, Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla when you're sober.

So I've been out of the loop for 2-3 years but some of my favorites not yet mentioned are:

WTF with Marc Maron
The Adam Carolla Show
Improv 4 Humans
How Did This Get Made?

Oh! One you might really enjoy if you like long tales about historical events is:

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

Highly recommended. His series on the Mongols and Genghis Khan are not to be missed.

I gotta say, overall the Joe Rogan Experience is probably #1 in my book. He's just had so many great interviews with so many great personalities -- nobody can really match his body of work, with the exception of maybe Marc Maron. Joe has a lot of fluff, Maron doesn't.

Incidentially, I first heard about Bitcoin on an NPR podcast called Planet Money. I was dabbling in stock trading at the time, interested in understanding what caused the Great Recession, and how billions of dollars could just vanish. It sounded like a total nerd venture with no real use case scenario, and in some ways, it still is. So I stopped caring until I heard Andreas Antonopoulos on JRE in 2013, which was transformative, and I've been hooked ever since.

Correct me if I missed something but it appears we were all at least 50% wrong in our picks. I was 75% wrong, with the Seahawks being my only correct call. I just put a lot more stock in both Titans and Vikings.

I did not read the lastest posts to avoid the spoilers, however, after the Patriots' loss, I reckon that not betting on +8 might be a mistake. This is the playoffs. Teams will try harder, games will be scored closer.

In any case, I got spoilered by DireWolfM14's post heheheeh. Vikings were also +8?

Tennessee was +5, +4 at game start, while Vikings were +8.

What would be the best blockchain service to leave a EULOGY?

I was think ETH because you can leave a long message using the text to hex converter and size = eth fees  Huh

BSV hands down. Next month there will be the genesis upgrade which lifts the maximum size of transaction up to 1 GigaByte! After that there is no better block chain for data storage than the one of the original Bitcoin (BSV).

Sure, BSV, as long as the eulogy was for BSV. They're gonna need one.

Honestly, anyone who still supports that scammer dev is also a fraud, yourself included big guy.

This 52 location threat from Trump is most likely exactly that, just a threat. Iran aren’t going to risk going up against the most powerful nation in the world.

Iran has no choice. Terrorist regime in Warshington wants war. They'll have it!

Proxy wars via arms sales to paramilitaries and employment of military contractors (Blackwater, whatever Erik Prince is up to these days) has been the way to go since Iraq. Its much more expensive and far less yielding of results, which is perfect for business. My guess is the U.S. won't officially declare war, much like they didn't for Iraq II or Afghanistan.

Pats don't seem to have an answer to Derek Henry so far. They'll have to formulate something in the second half, which I believe they are quite capable of doing.

Edit: Fuck, well I guess not. Congrats to the Titans. Can't watch anymore.
