5661  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 01, 2022, 03:46:42 PM
As for the price, I am completely satisfied at the moment, despite the fact that it is only 50% of what many hoped for.

Also satisfied, even if I'll be the first to admit initial layer of slightly dampened feelings. I would have really liked to liquidate a small chunk of BTC at 6 figures, as that would have given me the freedom to fail for about a year without income to embark on a personal idea.

It didn't happen, but it's fine. I stick to my day job, keep earning for a year, and perhaps even grow my stash of BTC so I'll be even more comfortable when that 100k comes (this year, the next, 2025, at this point it doesn't really matter).

Of course, we will have to wait a few months to see if the four-year cycle is interrupted, or if it will continue as has been the case so far. Few would like a new crypto winter, but if it does happen it is by no means the end or as some will surely say the collapse of Bitcoin.

Indeed, a winter would only reinforce the cycle theory, so that means another halving to look forward to. Still a win-win!
5662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 02:46:01 PM
It wasn't fair for Arsenal to lose this game. However, they have only themselves to blame for missed opportunities. Champions always figure out a way to win; that was the case for Man City. It is correct to suggest they receive the trophy already, because they always prefer the Premier League to the Champions League.

I know I hate Citeh but anyone watching this would be hard-pressed to say they deserved to win. A draw was probably the fairest result, but Arsenal indeed have themselves to blame. So many chances, some unlucky post hits, they should have taken this home and Gabriel? He let his team down with his sending off I think. Arteta's supposed to have fixed his team's disciplinary problems but I guess when your own captains keep ruining the team spirit, this wasn't a surprise.

City's to lose, but if they keep playing as badly as they do (and really, they are), maybe they slip up. Unlikely that Liverpool can take advantage though, unless they get their own string of 11 wins on the trot.

The email you received mentioning the btc/mbtc bonus? after clicking activate make sure your account is in the BTC method you will see the wager progress  above
If it still doesn't work, it means the problem is with the site the fastest way is to contact support only they can help you

My account is only in BTC on FJ actually, and previous bonuses were present in my Bonus tab after visiting, regardless of whether I click the link from email or not. And I actually get much faster support from Tornike here, plus it isn't a terribly urgent matter, just wanted a quick way to wager some BTC over the holiday period.

In any case, happy 2022 Tornike, FJ and all you guys!
5664  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: January 01, 2022, 01:24:02 PM
Echoing the wishes and greetings of the new year to you guys. Forum's definitely grown a lot and it still feels weird to recognise almost every username here, on Sportsbet, and even on my other contacts. Family, huh!

Thanks for the freebets too, @dittoup getting 7 right, well bloody deserved man!

NFL also took me by surprise. I don't bet on it myself but I know a lot who do, I guess we need to start convincing them to use Sportsbet -- could also be the time difference but I see MLB and NBA in the top 5 (or are the Japanese punters maybe?).

Oh and is anyone watching the Gunners now? They're having so much fun and my fav boi Saka put them in the lead!
5665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: January 01, 2022, 12:24:58 PM
Still $50,000 in my opinion, yes it was broken but we didn't sustained it and now we are below that price again. So for now forget about $60,000 that will be too big for us to even go as the sentiments have shift to being bearish or least in the middle grounds of it.

On the contrary, last year there's not much selling in December as the price keeps climbing up. But we are in a different scenario for this year and we have to accept that fact.

Yeah, was a bummer for me too. Wasn't actually expecting 50k to be broken, but it did, and even touched 52 -- so a real bummer we pulled back  quite a bit in the final hours of 2021.

It's all really tricky now, as always, never enough volume (selling or buying is paltry really) to push a decisive move in either direction.

Not even sure if January will provide any clarity either.
5666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 01, 2022, 11:06:50 AM
Football today! Meagre fare, but London clashes could be fun if Watford sneak in an early goal! Who wants to be on Tuchel and Conte to get miserable months? I'm already digging in for a torrid month but actually I just checked and we only miss Mane/Salah for 2 games after Chelski, so it's really not SO bad. Does harm our hopes to progress in cup games though (Shrewsbury should be fine, it's the double Arsenal one I'm worried about).

Solid tradition that, the British equivalent is having a curry, and beer the night before, and then getting obliterated on new years day. That's the British tradition it seems.

Well I certainly hope you didn't let down your ancestors Wink

I've not done anything "traditional" for new year's in something like 20 odd years as it'd require hunting and a lot of gunpowder!
5667  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go? on: January 01, 2022, 10:33:44 AM
I think no one will sell Bitcoin in market conditions like this, people will hold a part of the existing bitcoin to be utilized in pumping conditions, the purchase price for one bitcoin is not possible for people to sell at this time, if the short-term investment is Do it, in contrast to people who make long-term investments, which at the time of purchases far from the current price, but most people will hold Bitcoin at the time of the current condition, and I also hope that in 2022 Bitcoin will experience a big pemompa.

I guess most people commenting like you are just part of the majority of speculators and pretend-traders and pretend-holders then. Spewing all kinds of drivel that prove you're not really even with a lot of skin in the game.

Why wouldn't anyone be selling Bitcoin at any time? People holding a part of coin is always the case, regardless of market conditions.

Purchase price for one Bitcoin too dear? $47k right now? Not possible to sell when 2 months ago it was 66k and people were lapping it up?
5668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: January 01, 2022, 09:46:15 AM
Well I remember those days when we hit all time high in 2017 and people are saying that we will not see $10k, but alas, we even hit $3k just a year ago (March because of Covid-19) so we can't really say that x price is not going to be see again. The same that we thought $100k could be touch this year, it wasn't meant to be as the S2F model was busted big time. And I would say that $100k might not a dream for now, as I don't see it being remotely hit next year as again I have said before, we could be in a bear market.

Feels pretty recent for me too to be honest, maybe it always will because it was my first taste of a Bitcoin rally. Everything went crazy after 10k actually. The 500k predictions, the 1 million dollar predictions.

After 10k went to 11 and 12 and what not, man, 20k people were pressing everything full on. Guys took out loans, girls flocked to OF heh.

So you're right, and I always tell myself this. Anything is possible. Black Monday in 2020 made my heart leap to my mouth, and I'm sure it won't be the last time.
5669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎰 Sportsbet.io 🎰 "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: December 31, 2021, 05:09:52 PM

DOH 26! Compounding the bust was that I lost my Valencia freebet, hit all the corners and cards counts, even got the BTTS right but on the wrong side. Would otherwise have been a nice end to the year.

Wasn't a great game really, plenty of cards as usual (and we should have known this), and play acting all in injury time, but I suppose that's entertaining in its own way heh heh.

Happy New Year everyone, may we get plenty more Blackjacks in 2022!
5670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 31, 2021, 04:25:43 PM
Thanks for the reminder, had my picks in long ago, and I've also thrown our final Freebet for Betbuilder on this game. 1-0 Valencia after 51st min goal.

A lot of cards expected, since it was pretty low value for over 39.5 booking points (the minimum on offer on Betbuilder) but I decided to take it anyway since I was pretty sure we can get 2 yellow minimum per half, and heh, we already have 3 now.

Next games, I'd be wary of form calculations though. United and Liverpool sucked ass on their first games after rest, while teams who were forced to play without break carried their form over. La Liga might just also show some surprise reboots of form.
5671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: December 31, 2021, 04:03:35 PM
@Trofo man thanks for the thread. I'm actually an irregular follower of Afcon -- mainly because Senegal and Egypt are great to watch, and in fact last 2 seasons or so I did add a lot of qualifiers from the region into my picks, great value on some of them if you know where to catch the good odds. News is hard to come by but every now and then you get some juice news -- the entire region is ripe and Afcon matches anyway can get quite good to watch IF you get nice pitches! Add me!

Edit: of course, Thanks Steve and Sportsbet for the free joy =D

@Welsh: Totally understand where you come from, it annoys me every year being a Liverpool fan, not as much as other internationals annoy me, but I think the main issue for me (and I could be wrong but it's my opinion haha) is the world needs to move to a common calendar season, but of course the global South doesn't have summer and winter to contend with, though for me it's arguable that it's better for Europe to have off season at the end of the year (the business world already does this) and then a lot of these issues are solved because everyone's got the same off season period.

We've got Asian games (not so much a European league problem YET but if Japan, S Korea and China begin to have a larger presence in future, it will), American games and African games that affect clubs differently in Europe... just because of this weird 2021/22 season when the rest of the world begins new seasons in 2022. We have, for example in Southeast Asia about 8 months of pure league and club football, and then entire 3+ months stretch of off season to holiday, train, and take part in national/regional tourneys. And you never need to remember if it was 2021 or 2022 season you won that trophy, because it happened in the right year =p

P.S. You're right about Senegal, always talented, always explosive, always fun, but they're like the BVB or Liverpool pre Klopp of Afcon. Always punching above their weight to fall at the last.
5672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 31, 2021, 03:30:19 PM
No "binary" win for United in the end, huh casperBGD? Last match I switched 2-1 to 3-1, and last night I switched 3-1 to 2-1. Go figure.

After a long time in round 20 I was able to be in the top position and get the yellow cap for the first time. Does this mean I get a $50 free bet on yellow cap? And how to claim it Cheesy

If you've already submitted your Sportsbet username to Steve before, then you'll get it in your account soon, don't worry Wink Betwrong used his in a hurry and bagged a nice win. IIRC I also used mine rightaway and snagged a pretty cool acca win, so I'm already in the black in this pool. Doesn't mean I'm not going to try and keep hold of this position... I just need to pull a bastard toma move from last season haha.
5673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: December 31, 2021, 02:44:58 PM
Still recovering from losing my $50 freebet because Liverpool lost. Would have tried to cash out but freebets never seem to have that option. $185 USDT would have been nice to have on Sportsbet account just to play around with, but I guess I just need to win the 4-3-free again.

But the real reason I've come in here is to say I gone done did my 5mbtc wagering on Live Casino Hero. I see the leaderboard updated today still at exactly 30 people, so we've all survived and reached our desired target.

I know we still need to wait til tomorrow to see if anyone dropped out today, but consider this a friendly reminder to you guys still in it.
5674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin first week price speculation on: December 31, 2021, 12:52:35 PM
Happy day for me then as I got a slightly bumper-sized issue of invoices for 2021 in, and I get to pay out monies owed in 2022 1st or 2nd week. If it even appreciates 7% (the lowest of your figures) I actually get the equivalent of a fifth of a month's extra in income and savings. Say what?

P.S. What about years previous though? I was around in 2017, and even 2016 for the first week, but I can't seem to recall if they were good. Wasn't paying much attention to markets then.
5675  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: December 31, 2021, 11:42:27 AM
Saw a no deposit bonus email (wager 5x the bonus, then deposit 2x the final win amount to get it credited), but when I went into my account to check, there wasn't any bonus to activate. Not complaining, just informing;)

Also, there seems to be a bit more error across site more than usual. MajesticSeven, for example, isn't letting me enter picks on the latest round (error messages keep popping up).
5676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 30, 2021, 06:57:28 PM
The betting market for Mbappe next club lined him stay at PSG at 1.01, to be signed by Real Madrid at 14, Chelsea at 16, United at 20, Liverpool at 20 but City at 30?  Hmmm..  Something’s off here.  I’d line City as having more of a chance to sign Mbappe than Liverpool.  City badly needs a striker, LFC not really.
Real Madrid is the only team that has made an official proposal, and the reason Chelsea is on the list is because he had a trial with the club but was rejected after a few games, and he is a Chelsea fan, but I don't see him moving to Chelsea at his ludicrous market price. neither Liverpool can afford him, he is left with only Real Madrid as a choice.

Lol Mbappe to Liverpool, this has flown around the rumour mill so many times I wonder who's smoking what to keep legs on this. It's not that Liverpool don't need a striker, it's not that they don't have the money, it's not that Mbappe doesn't want to go to Liverpool, it's that this is not the way Klopp or the club do their deals, and it's just not the type of buy that fits the way we've dealth in the past 4/5 years.

Now, who can tell me if the Saka to Liverpool move is true? I don't think it's happening, but I've always rated him highly... can't say he's right for us though.

(Just curious)
in my first year into crypto around 2016 it was very easy to get 1 BTC and it was not impossible. I haven't even joined this forum yet. I earn from several Giveaways and several airdrops that I participate in. At that time around 3.5 BTC I can get. The late 2017 rally was certainly a good opportunity for me to start selling BTC and some other altcoins like ETH.

Well done to you. I got my first BTC in the same year, but had mainly been freelancing and most of my early work clients requested if could pay in alts instead, so I had a growing pile of alts I just sold whenever I could on Cryptopia (I know, I know). And then BTC of course I kept as much as possible after selling (since it was income anyway) but by the time I was able to earn real BTC and stack my sats 2017 had happened and even 1 BTC was above $10k.

Had I been perhaps even half a year earlier... and then looking at my localbitcoins trade volume (always selling) of over 50 BTC, makes me feel "rich"!

I never did get into the airdrop game but guess we all have different stories!
5679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: December 30, 2021, 01:15:16 PM
He wasn't so much of a hero as he was an icon.  He was a legendary Monday night football announcer and was the face and voice of football for such a long time.  And like you said throw in the gaming industry and madden football and you have a legend.  Some people are just bigger than the game itself and madden was one of those guys.

Fun fact, he never flew anywhere because he was claustrophobic, he drove a tricked out bus across the country every week.

Yeah, to the point even a non-NFLer would know his name (myself the prime example). Madden's not a big title anymore these days though, just asked my kid and he has no idea who that is.

Claustrophobia, makes sense for a guy used to an open playing field. Reminds me of Bergkamp who had a fear of flying, so he just didn't even get named in Champions League games.

Can't blame myself for not being a fortune-teller, am I right? There's no point dwelling about what happened in the past, we couldn't have known or predicted it would become such a big deal. Unfortunately, I wasn't onboard since its beginning, in 2010-2011, when it costed a few cents, possibly if I knew about it, I would have bought some, since it was dirt cheap.

There are times that I ask myself "What if?" but I quickly brush it off. Not only is it meaningless, but it's also time-consuming, and as an old aphorism said, time is money.

You can blame yourself for ruing the fact though. No point wishing or regretting or second-guessing as you said, and we all look back on occasion. Hell, I even look back on Dogecoin every now and then but it's only to laugh and shake my head.

There are moments in life I look back even farther. Over 10 years before Bitcoin even. But the more I consider where I am today, the less I give a damn about the past.

Whatever the price, there will be no regrets as long as it is the target that has been achieved. I used to have some bitcoins too and I sold them for around $4000 and they were already very high. There's nothing to be sorry for, bitcoin continues to be developed and many altcoins have a good future.

Seen your very first posts and it makes sense you'd sell around $4000, shortly after your forum account, but how on earth did you manage to get "a few BTC"? Think I joined just a little before you and even 1 BTC was some kind of target that kept getting farther away in the wake of 2017 rally.

(Just curious)
