5681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin clarification needed, please on: December 10, 2018, 08:35:44 AM
There is a chance that it could happen since the address generation is random but very very unlikely. It's known as collision. In the event that i happens. Both the colliding owner and original owner can spend the BTCs sent to the wallet but the colliding owner won't be able to spend the entire amount of BTCs in the address and the same would apply if the original owner tried to spend

You can look up for more information here to see how scenario just seems almost impossible.

I think this your very topic is most suited in the meta section of the forum, you can move it by clicking on the "move topic" button on the bottom left side of your screen.

And why doesn't it suit in the "Beginners and help" Board?
S/he will get help here IMO. No need to move the topic

1. Did you receive any PM regarding your banned post? if so, quote it here so that we can help
2. Was the post a reply in certain thread?
5684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) on: December 07, 2018, 09:25:51 PM

Certain topics in some threads are off-limits ( probably deleted) while others just have "....." from OP(not sure what it means). I would suggest that maybe we remove such topics from the lists and add others that are available. I have checked out certain threads and are even locked so there is even no way of maybe putting in a comment to alert OP.

A good example is the above thread I have quoted, it has some topics/Post titles whose content is no longer available.

Edit:

Not able to quote since the thread is locked
These are some of the topics

5685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not all crypto apps in App stores are safe on: December 07, 2018, 06:07:12 PM
Ya, that's right bro many app in appstore is not trusted. Safe way to check it, you can download in their website. I always download any app wallet on their website, because its will redirect to their app. Sorry for my bad english   Grin
I think what OP was trying to mean is that always try to download wallets apps or get download links from the coin's official websites like for bitcoin, you can get download links from The bitcoin project's official site: https://bitcoin.org
If it is an Ethereum wallet you want to download, you can get the download link from the Ethereum project's official site: https://www.ethereum.org

Same thing for Exchange apps, If it's a binance app, get the download links directly from the official website which is https://www.binance.com/clientDownloads.
This way you avoid landing on fake apps.
I hope you now understand
5686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC & All Shit-coin take terrible loss today, except Bitcoin-SV why is this? on: December 07, 2018, 11:48:41 AM
Well on my crypto-market.com that I use the only one I see NOT in the red today is BSV, I don't even know why you mention the other's are you pumping something here?

Everything down 10-20%, but this shitcoin BSV up 20%, and its a solid rise for months, and I note Bcash has gone in the toilet,

I wonder why you would come up with such a statement without doing extensive research or maybe you want to show us how biased you are

XYO NETWORK

NEUMARK

and so many other shitcoins are green today. If you have doubts check here; https://coinmarketcap.com/all/views/all/

Looks like  it will not be long before BTC loses its market cap #1 spot,

Bla bla blah, I think you were one of those chaps who kept singing that BTC would lose the first spot to Ripple, then BCH... Now the lastest song is involving BSV
just because of a small hype which will die out soon.
5687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats wrong with the market? on: December 07, 2018, 10:17:23 AM
The capitalization of the marketcap is not real:

You kidding right?

The increase was produced by pumps and dumps of the shitcoins / altcoins.

so lemme ask, What causes the pump? is it the fiat traders send to exchanges to buy the coins or do they just send air to buy the coins?

1 shitcoin x costs 0.25 your maximum coins is 100.000,000 x 0.25 = 25,000,000$

Pump shitcoin x costs up 0.50 100.000.000x0,50 = 50,000,000$

And u seem not to understand how Market cap is derived... Market cap is (circulating coins x price of each coin) This means the circulating coins are held by people who used their real money to buy the coin.
The rise in price is driven by demand, even if you think it was a pump... real money was used to buy those coins, not air.
When people decide to cash out, demand will fall, coin price will fall and the market cap will automatically fall. One thing for sure is Money in or money out of the market plays major role
I clearly know what am talking about.

5688  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC & All Shit-coin take terrible loss today, except Bitcoin-SV why is this? on: December 07, 2018, 08:15:41 AM
Another gullible BSV sheep here. Unless you are new in the game of shitcoins. The BSV price rise while most of the coins are having their prices fall along with the total market cap is a classic example of price manipulation (Pump and Dump)  Grin

Noobs like will fall for the bull trap and you will end up holding bags as the shitcoin will eventually start dropping in value real hard.
5689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats wrong with the market? on: December 07, 2018, 08:05:23 AM
You are probably one of those who bought when the market was soaring high... right? I feel for ya. Those who bought in January Last year and cashed out Later on in December or in the first half of this year are smiling and waiting to cash in again. So NO, there is nothing wrong with the market. A healthy market involves both bearish and bullish trends.

When getting into a market, always expect an aggressive bearish trend after an aggressive bullish trend and vise versa. This when you know when to exit before you lose all your profit or even hit losses on your initial investment.

And Never ever try to be so greedy, Take the small profits if possible, come back another day... your downfall is when you want to be a millionaire in a fortnight.

Where will the money come from?
I also have a question, Where did it come from last year when the total coin market cap hit an all-time high of $800Billion+
5690  Other / Meta / Re: "If you have specific suggestions" I have: Live Lists for ignore and Trust on: December 07, 2018, 07:28:06 AM
Totally disagree with OP especially on the Live list part. Each of us here has specific preferences and can stand certain things to different extents. So jumping into a certain user's ignore list which he/she created because of his previous experience with other individuals doesn't seem subtle to me.
It's better to have the same experience with the same individuals or culprits then you decide for yourself whether to ignore or not. Now that's what we call experiencing the community.

  • A list that would ignore all newbie and Jr. users. The list could be created using some script.
So if all Newbie and Jr. Users where ignored, don't you see that you are dividing the community instead of bridging it? how does the community grow then? If most older members of the group keep using the list to ignore lower ranked members instead of helping some who could be genuine and wanting to learn more?

Thank you.
Funny thing is that I have been in this forum for a while but I was always under looking the ratings button (never actually even attempted to check it)
Thanks for fighting those scammers, you are the people this forum needs.

EDIT:
You can always make full use of the Scam Accusations Board to report any form of scam you have witnessed. Let's burst these scammers together.
5692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Cobo Wallet (Mobile) Legit ? on: December 07, 2018, 06:26:26 AM
It's among those wallets listed on Tron's official site so I think it safe... But as someone said above, if you planning to keep your Tron tokens for a long time... It would be worth spending on a hardware wallet.

Here are some points to not from the Tron official website:

TRON Wallet Notice

1.TRON wallets on all platforms are created by community developers and are only recommended on TRON's official website.
2.If you have trouble using TRON wallet, please contact its developer through the corresponding GitHub link.
3.Always remember that it is your responsibility to choose your wallet carefully and adopt good practices in order to protect your TRX.
5693  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best section to announce an ICO? on: December 06, 2018, 09:56:13 PM
So long as it's an ICO - "Initial Coin Offering" it still falls under the same category of altcoins... I don't know much about your exchange but am pretty sure you will be offering investors coins/tokens in exchange for their BTCs or Ethers... Right?
This is more reason for it to fall under Altcoin Announcements because your coin or token will be an Altcoin
5694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Technical Analysis: Head and Shoulders, Triangles and Wedges on: December 06, 2018, 04:19:16 PM
To be honest, I no longer use technical analysis when trading. In this current situation where there is a lot of price manipulation by whales. It's very hard to predict when to enter and when to exit. It used to be much easier back then but right now it's much harder.

I think sometimes, to do day trading... one just has to rely on luck, experience and instincts and other principles like not trying to be so greedy
5695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin scams on: November 30, 2018, 11:59:16 PM
I have never been scammed but i have witnessed the famous 1000 ETH or 1000 BTC giveaway scam on twitter where hacked verified twitter profiles are used to scam greedy people who think everything is free on the internet.

5696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understand the signature before wearing it on: November 30, 2018, 11:54:46 PM
People really don't care much about the projects or the ICOs or how they even progress...  so long as they make some pennies out of it by just wearing a signature after selling off the tokens?coins. I wouldn't really blame some of them, because one way or the other, We are all out here to learn or earn something thou doing both at ago is the best option
5697  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [NEW PROJECT] Bitsender Messenger: Share Your Message With the World on: November 30, 2018, 11:01:16 PM

1) To signup you don't need emails, Google accounts or any other social networks. All you need is just BTC transaction hash sent to project's BTC address for at least 1000 satoshi. Thats all!
2) To send message you will just type it as usual and press enter: every symbol of message will cost you 1 satoshi. This is how we fight against spam Smiley

You already charging an amount to just sign up?
Come on we all know this will not work out even if you are just charging 1000 sats. What you need to do is to first establish the userbase of your messenger.
Who will join your messenger knowing that you first have to pay to register?

Why would I leave a messenger like telegram for your messenger where I have 1 sat every time I have to send a message?
Just look for another way of fighting spam on your platform, but not charging sats or else your project might not even take off
5698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know if someone places a big order on: November 30, 2018, 05:52:09 PM
There is simply no easy way.
One way would be through observation of the order book, sometimes you find when a large buy or sell order is placed at once.
The reason it's hard to identify such instances is when the wall decides to put up small buy and sell orders so as not to get noticed or even just manipulate the order book by placing an order to bring the price down or shoot it up then afterward cancel the order, this completely makes it useless to follow whale orders.
5699  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PRICE STABILITY on: November 29, 2018, 10:48:50 PM
Do you agree if Bitcoin finds a meeting point for stable prices in the range of $ 4000 - $ 5000 ...? and I think you might not agree but if you look at a few weeks until now, this is what happens to the price of bitcoin still at $ 4000 maybe this is the best way for bitcoin or bitcoin that is still in transition

What do you think makes bitcoin very profitable for day traders? Where else can you buy something at $3700 on Monday and sell it at $4300 on Wednesday making a massive 600 profit within 3 days
It's the volatility that's the best thing to happen to bitcoin trading, not the stability.I don't understand why you would say stability is the best way for bitcoin. Do you want stability? Try forex trading for about a month and you will change this attitude as soon as possible.

But USD or GPB is more stable than btc. Why? Because its market is bigger (volume and marketcap). In my opinion bitcoin price would be more stable at 100k-1 mil$ price. It will have much bigger marketcap (it would be harded to push price) and it will have institutional investors on it.

In my opinion, the higher the price of BTC, the higher the volatility... Forget about marketcap, Bitcoin at 100K each coin? we shall see the mother of all volatilities. Imagine 20K swings maybe from 100K to 80K within 48 hours or less
5700  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Ideal cryptocurrency exchange - how it should look like? on: November 29, 2018, 10:09:54 PM
For example sometimes I forget at which price I ve bought coins. I want to see at least at which price I ve bought coins. ROI should be shown for all purchases etc. I am writing all of these as list of requirements.

I think this can be visible in your transaction history of most accounts in most exchanges... You can be able to view the price you bought the coins at in Sats or Ethers... Maybe what I would suggest is that alongside the sats/ethers, you add the actual USD value so that a trader can be able to make a rational decision with the current market swings
