5681  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people claim cryptocurrencies aren’t an asset? on: September 26, 2020, 11:33:48 AM
With the advent of such practices, cryptocurrency may start being viewed more seriously in the legal world and smart contracts can be legally enforced too. So cryptocurrencies can probably finally be seen as an asset even according to local laws of that particular country.
It is legal, no need to enforced some kind of rules. If we force it to some blockchain approach then the decentralized perspective would be gone dont you think? Yes some agreed to enforced rules so every investors can rest and be at peace but were there are some who dont agreed to it and Im one of them, I can see only abuse especially on tax implementation.
5682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Square CEO Jack Dorsey says Bitcoin holds the keys to security on: September 26, 2020, 10:08:48 AM
Not just Dorsey but a lot of influencial people in the industry talk about the potential of bitcoin. Ive been seeing those trending news and I can say that there are still more positive on bitcoin position to be one of the best investment that could grow positively on the coming years.

Security wise its the only crypto that preserved true decentralization and all are just leaning a centralized approach. With the current economic scale, maybe banks and financial institutions could see it potential when its being adopted and accepted by majority.
5683  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin exchange detected a large withdrawal. Provably Hacked? on: September 26, 2020, 08:11:57 AM

Another reason to never store your assets on a custodial wallet as you are making someone else responsible for your security; not your keys, not your coins.

Thats right. Anyone knows how unsafe cex market and the one will be losing here is those traders.

But I didnt expect that Kucoin will fall under such attacl or breached.

According to the post they stipulated.

We detected some large withdrawals since September 26, 2020 at 03:05:37 (UTC+8). According to the latest internal security audit report, part of Bitcoin, ERC-20 and other tokens in KuCoin’s hot wallets were transferred out of the exchange, which contained few parts of our total assets holdings. The assets in our cold wallets are safe and unharmed, and hot wallets have been re-deployed.

To ensure the security of users’ assets, we will conduct a thorough security review. The deposit and withdrawal service will be suspended during the period. We will restore the service gradually after ensuring a safe state. We will keep you updated.

As "The People’s Exchange", we will take full responsibility and maintain transparency. To keep you updated regarding the latest updates, our CEO Johnny Lyu will update more details through a livestream at 12:30 (UTC+8)
What I like is the fact that they are gonna take full responsibility to those account that have been affected. My friend got 1500$ token there as far as I remember but it seems it was also been affected. Anyway he said he already message them to check it out and file for refund or any process to get it back.

5684  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood: I just made Legendary rank ! on: September 26, 2020, 07:34:38 AM
Im just here to congratulate you mate. You ar eone of the inspiration why Ive posted and got interested on helping to exposed some projects abusing the investors by launching fake projects and scams.

You are now part of the legendary cult. Continue the great adventure of exposing scammers.

I hope you all have an equally if not more enjoyable ride within this great community focused fantastic forum called "BitcoinTalk".
Yeah bit some fun also while staying here. I also jave my ways of contribution through exposing scam and sharing good bounty campaigns to some users here. Anyway gratz mate.
5685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEME or how to attract new hamsters on: September 25, 2020, 04:10:23 PM
I looked at the project but did not see anything but promises yet.
They just have launched their sale barely few days ago. But a big partnership with Avalanche network, would noy talk about promises alone. So I believe they will deliver their goals.

Here is their sneak peek of the product dex.

https://twitter.com/PolyientDEX/status/1308243269713670146?s=19

I try to invest when the project has at least a test version that can be tested.
If the game NTF tokens are compatible, then it is easier to sell them on well-known marketplaces, such as:

You can invest mate as you wish when they launch their product ecosystem. But buying during the sale is 1eth for 1pgfk, now you can bought at an average 2 to 3 eth now.

They are available on both marketplace you mentioned. Inspite launching 2 days old.

They are now top 5 in volume on opensea.

https://opensea.io/rankings

Im seeing a bright future on this one. Also the free tokens airdrop from holder can be traded on uniswap soon. More precisely next month.
5686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEME or how to attract new hamsters on: September 25, 2020, 02:14:57 PM
Isn't it strange that all the ridiculous projects keeps getting pumped to the highest top just by mentioning Defi beside its name, look at how high this MEME have pumped and the few good project out there don't have such support and attention, and am surprise some people still be willing to put money on it even after such rise.
Thats what you called hype.  Thats why OP put a disclaimer on it. This kind of pump defies the trading technicals on typical project. Some are just getting fomo on it. You cant blame them cause they are following the hype. And clearly we see that it will become nft time.

OP have you check out this new one?

https://twitter.com/PolyientGames/status/1308966829767958535?s=19

This has sale few days back and managed to raised 5million USD. The platform seems to have a good potential, I myself invested on it. Perks I will get are drops from cargo gem to pgfk nft hodler and 1:1 ratio to PGT tokens too. This platform will launched their own game dex.
5687  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Defixnetwork Scam with Fake team? on: September 25, 2020, 11:14:11 AM
If they used other people profile then their credibility is not that good. This kind of activity end up scamming or running away from their responsibility to launch a good project.

Not to mention the defi thing that's being thrown out of nowhere.
Thats common nowadays. I think I saw every new project everyday, different names with but all concept are the same, all to raise fund and be listed on uniswap.
5688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next trend for 2021? on: September 25, 2020, 09:33:50 AM
Do you have any idea what will be the next trend for 2021?
The schedule is too long for that to assume whats gonna be the next trend.

I guess NFT, but what is your opinion?
Maybe. I saw some nft projects on the move but I will not dwell on it yet. But I already entered some. Like pgfk and ghst. Waiting for it to hit the market.

NFT? what's that? I don't have any guess but if that's not going to be another defi, uni, or any crowdfunding, there's still related to massive token creation.
Its nonfungible tokens mate. We cant be sure as some new defi nfts got deployed already and building up some nft dex. Either it hit the market or not will be seen probably next month or coming months.

Some say it will be the next thing. But of course we dont know that yet. Unless weve seen progress.
5689  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Q] Is there any way to beat scam exchange? on: September 25, 2020, 06:47:45 AM
I just wanted to ask someone to help us, are there any lawyers, police departments or similiar to part of our money back?
Has anyone had a similar situation?

Yes of course. Some fake exchangers have been completely sued for this especially if they have been proven to do some money laundering.  I remember bithumb global Korea was rushed by Police last time due to scam token that has been listed on the exchange.

The only thing that bugs me is that about provision or rule on crypto crimes. What if certain country doesnt have that? So how certain guilty can be convicted if he knows that the country his in dont have specifics yet.
5690  Other / Meta / Re: Should we post for members or guests? on: September 25, 2020, 05:54:35 AM
Actually, there are still new users which are good in creating quality posts. But when it comes to a unique and helpful post specially when it comes to technical, old users contributed a lot. It is not just lazy to post or create new ideas. I think lack of knowledge and almost all good posts were shared already are the factors why some new user cannot make new posts.
You are right. Ive noticed of course these new users started to being out their skills and knowledge on blockchain and crypto and its good to know that even some are lazy, or let say lose apetite, they have been replace by users like you mate. Ive always noticed you bring some quality post since then.

Also thats the thing. Almost all the post that have topics have been posted already and new users having trouble to create a new one with unique topic. Especially when others will commented "this has been posted already" something like that.
5691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche Dedicated thread for news, discussion and update. on: September 24, 2020, 12:20:26 PM
Absolutely. For any project the death starts as soon as the first delay happens UNLESS people are the ones who ask for it (rarely but it can happen).
I supposed you are not reading my comment above. Yes they are delay for at least 2weeks so its not a big deal. I bought at 0.50$ and sold at 5$ of course thats a 10% unlocked tokens. Already break even with few profits. How come death would happened with a slight delay? Maybe based on past projects but dont compared a gem to a typical ICO. Some projects maybe like this but not all especially if the product is worth the wait.
5692  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] How to cancel or replace an ETH transaction (Metamask, MEW, MyCrypto) on: September 24, 2020, 11:47:01 AM
Great guide OP. Im always doing cancellation of transaction on eth and sending 0 with same nonce always work. I just never tried out replacing with higher gas.

I have a question though. What if using a higher gas fee but the transaction still failed? This is typically happening on uniswap even though using above slippage. Weird cause once failed it really eat your transaction fee in spite of high fee set and slippage. Any connection?

5693  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please check this project. (Swaphub) on: September 24, 2020, 07:23:21 AM
Hi OP next time you post on a scam accusation thread show some proof of a possible scam or any evidence cause we can always accused a project sometime that could also be legit.

I saw the thread. Obviously its a bounty thread with a yield farming mode. These kinds of project is very easy pie for coders, and they can even decide to be a fraud depends on the project stance.

Like what Jawhead999 said, there are some details lacking the project. So think twice if you would join, but its up to you. But for some traders, with a clean code and website this could be legit while earning profits.

1. The project team is unknown and anonymous.

This is big deal for some traders and investors but some depending on the product to judge the project capability or potential. Bitcoin is anon too product is great. So depends on users perspective.
5694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit is Not Earned By Luck, But Because of Your Efforts! on: September 24, 2020, 07:14:26 AM

The most earned merits are also chasing posts for the campaign!
Yes, the signature on our profile does require us to post, it doesn't mean that we are forget the main rules in this forum. At least, even though we are required to meet the post quota of the campaign, we are still  try to make this forum a worthy place to share knowledge.

Posting with such care is also a must for every signature bearers. We should admit that majority of sig users with good pay will probably always wanted beating up the quota of post. Well no one can denied that. But the best part there is the ability of those users to contribute something useful or important.

I ranked up to hero member due to effort but of course I could say there are some luck in play during the time when art contest was held submitted few entries and earned merits. Though you could say thats effort but the timing of the contest luckily favors mine.
5695  Other / Meta / Re: Should we post for members or guests? on: September 23, 2020, 11:55:36 AM
I also notice that I only notice few new topics or threads being posted in this forum. I know some people who stop visiting the forum because of the merit system but merit system also help increase the quality of a person's posting ability and reduce spam posts. Well, it's to them if those lurkers decide to create an account here.
Thats because some users got lazy already to post or create new ideas. Merit system cant be blamed instead. I know merit system is harsh, but it make some post become more quality as users tend to aim their post being merited. Lately Ive noticed too that only same person creating unique and useful topics and also they are the one who contributed too in the past. So rare to see new people posting a good one.
5696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MY NEWBIE THOUGHTS ABOUT THE FORUM on: September 23, 2020, 08:16:41 AM
I think I was just lucky for the users around with their generousity in giving some merits. I would like to continue exploring the forum and hopefully will learn a lot in here. I will be glad to get along with other users as well. For now, I do think the best way to learn is to read. It took me some time already just doing online and reading.
Not lucky mate. Usually merits arent easily drop on a newbies account without any attention from high ranks. Your record is not rewlly bad but a good start for a beginner. If you dont believe me. Ive got to earned 10merits for a very long time and you are receiving fast but thats the thing. When you already on this stage just continue it. You are also right. Reading here more threads will increase your knowledge on different stuff use it and learn from it. Surely you can create quality post related to those. Good luck with your journey here.
5697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Project Rankings on: September 23, 2020, 07:43:47 AM
There are chances they might be left behind in this market and some delisted, the whole market are more of the financial value that the space or coin can add.
The list entails volume. So if the defi list has no certain volume there is likely they will be removed. Thats how the coinmarketcap works. It is ranked and list by marketcap and volume.

Personally my thoughts on this is it will be more volatile when it comes on the position cause some later comer projects enter the list and remove some top notch players.
5698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Initiative Q Another free money trap on: September 23, 2020, 05:53:28 AM
Holy shit this is a scam? My cousin send me this via facebook messenger last night and he said he tried it. I didnt bother to check it though what was inside of that invite link. as Ive browsed this one on scam post just now. I will message him about this wnd probably say sorry that it could be an HYIP project.

Thanks OP for this.

They may very well be sold off site and nothing we can do about that.
I just hope I did seen this earlier. So I assume the money by my cousin enteres could be at risk. Damn scammers!

5699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche Dedicated thread for news, discussion and update. on: September 22, 2020, 07:56:51 AM
I do not understand all the hype about this one coin, I understand that some people got a lot of avax for free and that is why there is a hype around it but they couldn't turn it into cash at all
They got some free avax coins from the hub. Ive got some too actually, and some still locked but were able to trade some of it already gaining back my capital. Now, if the project push forward on the development, I could still monetized my other coins in the future since it still on vested period. I do hope avalanche continue development and gain more partnership.

Because right now we do not know how much this will worth, people could sell it for pennies on the dollar when it actually starts to be exchanged, and it makes no sense that people think they have a lot of money right now just because it is locked right now.
Your thinkinf of the reward alone. Take a look currently traded at 5$ per avax coins on binance now.
5700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche Dedicated thread for news, discussion and update. on: September 22, 2020, 05:47:07 AM
It seems after huobi global announcement. Binance also followed the listing for Avax network.

https://twitter.com/binance/status/1308279288051855360?s=19

I do hope the market become stable so I can see a great price of avax. With listing on top 2 exchanges means the demand for avax will surely rise.

For those who doubt about of this ICO, this a proof that you can see potential ICO. Glad I invested.

They must take faster actions on listing point of view. It also opens door for new people. Smiley
I think the team is working now as you can see on my shared tweet from Binance.
