I reckon this is a site-wide implementation and the forum code hasn't been updated yet to accomodate it.

In my opinion he has done a lot of good because it is very good for your health. If you don't have too much trouble quitting then why do we smoke? I hate it so much we should all stop smoking.

Mainly due to social influences and the nature addictivity of nicotine. Grandpas have to smoke due to war or hard labor back in the days.

Mine was a heavy smoker too, sadly he passed due to pneumonia and a smoking-related disease.
5683  Other / Off-topic / Re: need help about my youtueb chanel on: January 17, 2020, 12:13:26 PM

Well the keyword here in well-known. I'm sure well-known youtubers have direct contact with youtube staff and will get given priority. I'm sure if you had a small channel i wouldn't be as easy or as swift.

Yep, this applies to most major corps. Since those influencers can affect their business.
5684  Other / Off-topic / Re: Stopping with smoking on: January 17, 2020, 09:30:30 AM

When his baby was born, he decided to quit smoke on that day directly until now. He only said if you want to quit smoke, you just quit. No matter if it's hard, you should not try to smoke again. The hardest part is the first 7 days, but after that, it's not too difficult. He proves that to other families member.

He did the right thing. The temptation gets pretty strong during the withdrawal phase (thankfully not as bad as drugs), and good thing he has a strong will.
5685  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What wallet do you prefer? on: January 17, 2020, 09:27:22 AM
for me "hardware wallet" is still the safest, I've used web wallet like MEW and got hacked  Embarrassed it's better to use hardware that can only be used if we have the Wallet itself

Hardware wallets are still not 100% safe. There have been exploits on known brands such as Ledger and Trezor

You're looking for the most popular game mode?

So far, dice, crash multiplier and blackjack are quite popular.

Wherever there is greed, there the scams will be.

Surprised to see that this thread has remained unanswered for so long.

I'm surprised too. But still, this kind of statement (by OP) isn't that hard to answer Cheesy

5688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie help - selling physical goods for crypto on: January 17, 2020, 07:30:27 AM

Sometimes I do that too but only when the the value of the item that we are dealing is cheap and I can afford to lose. But if it's valuable like casascius coin then I will not send first no matter
how reputable he was. Better to use escrow and pay extra fee rather than take the risk for escrowless transaction.  Wink

TIL a physical Bitcoin exists? And it starts from 1 BTC up to 1K.

And yes, I'll definitely use escrow on that one! Cheesy
5689  Other / Meta / Re: I can't leave feedback on accounts anymore, what could be the cause? on: January 17, 2020, 07:25:42 AM
Strange, it works on my end. Tested it on my iPad without any issues.

Could it be some account restriction?
5690  Other / Off-topic / Re: Stopping with smoking on: January 17, 2020, 07:21:57 AM
I think 10 people who tried to stop smoking, only one or two-person who can stop smoking. The rest of them will feel difficult to stop because smoking makes people addicted, and that needs a strong mind to stop. But I know someone who is my uncle says that when his child born, he said to himself that he must stop smoking. Otherwise, he cannot stop in the future, and he doesn't want his kids to see his daddy smoke in front of them. And yes, he did quit smoking until now, and it's been 23 years since he stopped smoke.

Did he quit cold turkey or gradually reduce the number of cigs smoked?
5691  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unable to install Electrum on: January 17, 2020, 07:20:27 AM
After several tries to update to SP1, i finally gave up and installed ubuntu into it. Electrum seems to work now. I think the version of OS i had could not be auto upgraded using windows update. I always got the dialog telling windows is up to date and still could not go through the installation of C++ package.

Why not go for Windows 10? It's quite fluid and I've installed Electrum on it without any issues.
5692  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Founder Account Last Few years not active on: January 17, 2020, 07:08:21 AM
'last few years'  — it's nearly a decade, if he was still active then there wouldn't be as much as hype about his identity.

I guess that's his sole mission; remain anonymous just like Bitcoin.
5693  Other / Meta / Re: Are "giving merit to those who need a bump to rank up" topics allowed today? on: January 17, 2020, 03:45:49 AM
Am I the only one wondering why a ban evading, loan defaulting, bounty spamming, campaign cheating, account farming, account trader is suddenly concerned about newbies' ability to rank up?

 Undecided

This is gonna be entertaining.
5694  Other / Off-topic / Re: need help about my youtueb chanel on: January 17, 2020, 03:38:04 AM
Actually, NO.

How can you do that by mistake? It asked for confirmation before deleting as well.

Well, I'm surprised OP could actually go through the steps and then suddenly "realize" what he's done.

But something sounds kinda fishy. Could be trying to recover a hacked account.
5695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie help - selling physical goods for crypto on: January 17, 2020, 03:34:16 AM
Seems like a great community here and thanks for all the tips. I feel like escrow is a nice way to go, especially since the fees seem small. Comparable to credit card companies I use now so why not.

As far as putting up a portfolio. I have my clear net portfolio site so to speak. Would certainly break any anonymity as the domain is registered to my real name.

Any ideas on that? I mean I do not see much of a risk in that. I am just selling art and design services but then again I am still pretty green.

CC companies are not bad if we discount their fees. In the matter of dispute, they're quicker and more efficient in handling matters. Meanwhile, escrows take longer since they're not always online.

Meanwhile you can actually purchase domain privacy (a.k.a WHOIS privacy) for around a tenner per year. It's an addon through your domain host, and masks all personal information when people search yours up.

Chewing gum is always not healthy for your body.
It is indeed a better solution than smoking cigarettes and weed. I used to consume a lot of chewing gums and I spent a lot of money.

Chewing gums also help with anxiety/ nervousness so that's a plus.

And it's still way healthier than nicotine pads.

5698  Other / Meta / Re: Why some high rank still use copper membership? on: January 16, 2020, 03:24:46 PM
I agree, though it was meant to be for newbies as mentioned already.  I also seem to recall certain members having other "metal" membership titles, although I'm not sure if they did that because they were staff and have the option to make custom titles where the Copper membership is displayed.  I can't remember who it was, but I seem to recall a gold or platinum member title.

Wow, I didn't stay long enough to notice that Cheesy All we know is that only Satoshi gets the platinum coins, but not sure if he gets to set his own.

I also remember Quickseller being one of the first higher-ranked members who'd bought a Copper membership and I'd always wondered why he did that since he obviously didn't need it at the time.  Maybe it was to support the forum like DireWolfM14 said he did it for, but it isn't as though the forum needs the funds from that.  Who knows.

If there were something like gold or silver memberships that offered benefits to higher ranked members, I might be tempted, though I'd be hard-pressed to part with my precious bitcoin for a forum perk.

Anything but VIP/ Donator is good in my books. As long as it doesn't involve selling our house for some grandeur, haha.
5699  Other / Off-topic / Re: need help about my youtueb chanel on: January 16, 2020, 05:15:50 AM
Unfortunately if you deleted your channel there is no way to restore it back.. But you can try with YouTube support and explain your situation they might help
Best of luck

There is, but on a case-to-case basis. Recently a well-known YouTuber got hacked and he mentioned YT confirmed that the changes would be rolled back. However, the videos won't be.
