5681  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just dumped all my BTC :( on: January 14, 2015, 12:24:48 AM
LOL at all the old timers here.....

BTC is most likely going below $100. Why buy his coins today when you can buy his friends coins at $100 in a few weeks.

 Wink

Why do you think it is going to dip to below $100? I think it will stabilize around $200.
5682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can u still have reasons to keep ur bitcoin? on: January 13, 2015, 09:02:58 PM
Bitcoin must be regarded as a long-term investment instrument and not a currency right now if you ask me because the fluctuations are too great.

It's a financial asset that can be use to send money or store wealth. It was a great asset to hold in 2013 but not a good one in 2014. In 2015 the performance could be between the one of 2013 and the one of 2014.

I agree but the value is not stable enough for me to use as in sending money to someone. To store wealth is OK assuming it is going to increase in value.

I am pretty sure everyone saw an opportunity to get rich quick with bitcoins last year and now the harsh reality is not very pleasant  Roll Eyes
5685  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC at $240 on: January 13, 2015, 08:09:17 PM
The price is as of now at $235 and wow I am surprised at the outcome of the new year because the value is actually going lower!

...Governments belong to the past, especially to me, since I changed country last week.

So which government-free country have you moved to? Just curious.

Yeah I would like to know where he has moved to with no functioning government.

5692  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sarutobi, LuckyBitz, and Low Hanging Fruit on: January 10, 2015, 10:50:45 AM
Like I am sure a lot of you are doing, I am enjoying playing with 2 new IOS apps; SaruTobi and LuckyBitz.
I've made well over 15 cents CAD for only ~15 hours of PURE ENTERTAINMENT!
Suckers decry; "aw man...you should go and get a job!" But I wholheartedly disagree!
If I can figure out how these Romanian hoodwinks have embedded malware into IOS applications, slipped it past the ever vigilant and quality obsessed vetters at Apple, and infected every fibre of my hardware, software, and online existence. I'm simply impressed.
Please, take my wife.

I had to google that app but this final line made me laugh so much:

#Note: Your iOS device will not be used to 'mine' or perform any resource-heavy activities. Mining within Lucky Bitz is merely conceptual.

5694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got 100+ Bitcoins refunded from Butterfly Labs today on: January 10, 2015, 07:38:08 AM
Did the US government prosecute them and make them send out the refunds?
5695  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Marco the Über Miner on: January 09, 2015, 10:39:30 PM
Ah I see. Well, I guess as long as he isn't spamming with the account then it isn't really dishonest and not breaking any forum rules

He is engaging in activity which I feel may fall under spamming, but BadBear hasn't taken any action.

The dishonest part would be advising Candy to deceive the community.

Mate you have a lot of free time to stalk all these different accounts holy shit.
5696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the poorest early adopter in the world on: January 09, 2015, 06:57:15 PM
I registered here and started reading and learning about bitcoin in 2011 when they were just $2 each. Max Keiser got me interested in them.

I never did buy any back then and wish I would have at least spent a twenty. I did mine with my laptop graphics card for a bit but didn't get much.

I did try to sell some things on a website called bitcoin classifieds and my items are still up. Never did sell anything but it just goes to show you the value of bitcoin back then.

For just half a bitcoin you could have bought this in 2011 - http://www.bitcoinclassifieds.net/ad/374_Brand_New_Sealed_Secrets_Of_The_Kama_Sutra_DVD/

For just a quarter of a bitcoin you could have gotten one of these fine HD DVDs.

Wow Transformers 2 is more than 5 years old. How time flies Shocked

5698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2015, 03:43:49 PM
There was a post on r/bitcoin about a guy who did this and we never heard back from him..

It was in April 2013 : http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1kpsi5/i_put_all_my_life_savings_into_bitcoins/ http://bgr.com/2013/04/05/bitcoin-retirement-investment-414950/

So he paid around 100$ per BTC and may have cashed out some at 500$-1000$; he is massively up.

Yeah I think this was the guy and my story was slightly off but I couldn't remember all the exact details haha.
