5681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 31, 2021, 11:20:02 AM
It is no surprise that there are people who makes a living with gambling and you sir, is a living testimony of the possibilities of the said "career". Professional gamblers have a lot of discipline with regards to the management of their money in such way that it makes them almost living their daily lives very thriftily. I myself was a professional gambler before playing poker but gambling places attracts all kinds of people especially the bad apples of society. I stopped after calling it quits due to me seeking other alternatives.
It's still unbelievable for some people that it can't be a career. They only see the negative on it but don't recognize those gamblers who have made well on it.

Maybe a few in hundreds and thousands but it is undeniable that there are good stories that have lived it with gambling.
5682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk Management in trading cryptocurrencies ...?? on: January 31, 2021, 09:31:06 AM
I read from a twitter thread and from some blog that we should took trade by risking 3-5 % of our capital per trade. So you can protect your ccapital.
3%-5% of loss, then you should trigger stop loss and let that loss get out before your loss go more than that percentage.

But in Cryptocurrency Market i realized that when btc pump or dump 95% alts gona dump, So i can maintain this Risk mananegemnt to protect my capital.

Please any suggestions...😊

Thank You So Much...🙂♥️
My suggestion is to invest to bitcoin and if you're liking to invest in alts, invest most in bitcoin and just around 20%-30% of your money in alts.
5683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 31, 2021, 08:50:30 AM
I'm calm mate.

What I'm telling, it's not the government that will approach those illegal casinos and make them illegal. Who should be doing the first move?

Not them but those illegal gambling places if they want to get certified and be legal.
It also depends, if the government makes a public announcement about the mandatory registration of all gambling businesses.  Just like the implementation of the registration of online sellers here in our country but it is not followed.  Maybe at first, some will follow but later they will also lose attention and return to the old routine unless they focus on and restrict law enforcement.  Some are stubborn but it often happens that the authorities approach or pursue illegal activities.  When you ban it, because of the hardships of life today, it will do and will still do illegally especially if they have nothing else to think about to do just to live especially now that the condition of the pandemic is exacerbated.
If that is so then that is a directive from the government and still, they have to come over to settle what is unsettled.

If they want to remain illegal, they can ignore.

But if they don't want to, they will listen, come and will have their initiative.
5684  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Wall Street Bets pump and dump group. on: January 31, 2021, 06:51:57 AM
These are very common. Riding the waves of what's popular in the market.

Whether there is one which is real on those groups. Before the GME pump came, these pump and dump groups in crypto has been already been existing.
5685  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is cheaply made but sold at a ridiculous price? on: January 31, 2021, 04:15:17 AM
A lot flipped houses. Be careful when looking at recently remodeled houses. Most of these are cheap flips with nothing more than some new paint, flooring and appliances. It becomes very apparent when you actually view the house in person and the doors don’t close right, the windows are old, and everything just feels cheap

Have you heard of those collectors item in the world of fashion? any dress madd by a popular designer will be made and valuated a lot even if the material used isn't good.

Fans of those designers will treat it as a premium as long as it's made by that popular designer.
5686  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some of the worst business practices you’ve seen? on: January 31, 2021, 02:51:39 AM
I have a relative that has a high position in a certain company which is likely to extend their service offshore. Said that the employees are important but the way they are treating their employees, it is like they are total slabe to them.

I just don't like what I've seen although a job is a job ans what hurts me most when said that employees are more important than relatives. LOL
5687  Other / Off-topic / Re: If covid 19 became a pandemic in 1990 , how would events have played differently on: January 30, 2021, 03:08:35 PM
The sad truth is that in some places this still happened in 2020. I work with some school districts that spent all spring handing out packets to parents every other week because they don't have reliable internet or a device. These happen to be in poor urban areas but this is true in rural areas as well.
It is the sad truth that some poor rural areas can't cope up with the modern technology just to kill time in facing with the pandemic.

TV sets would be the only pastime that most of the people will have if it happens in the 90s. They get to watch fake news and inaccurate counts of toll just as what we have today.
5688  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you gracefully end an informal phone call that's taking too long? on: January 30, 2021, 02:30:52 PM
That's fine.

Just tell them that you've got other things to do and you'll get in touch with them as soon as possible or if you still have any transaction that will be done in the future.

Don't be too worried to end a conversation if you're saying an honest reason.

If it's in queue, there's nothing you and us can do. All you need to do is to wait until a reason will be emailed to you.

Maybe this article will give you a clue.

Have to search for a video on YT about that interesting duck. And as I watch it, it only brought me envy. Ducks can swim and surf.

While me, still trying hard to float myself unless I'm playing dead while my face is in the surface of the water. That duck even rides a surfboard haha.
5691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 30, 2021, 11:37:26 AM
As I'm telling you, it's not the government that will ask them to and approach them. You don't understand it. It isn't the government that will give them special treatment with sort of "approach" you're saying.

If it's illegal then it is illegal.
Calm down bro. The government can say it is illegal and legal, and they can also change from illegal to legal if they can approach the illegal gambling and ask the owner to make it legal. Maybe they can give special treatment to them as you say, and I think if that treatment is a win-win solution, the owner will think about it. Who knows, with making that deal, the government can invite them to make their business legal, so they do not have to bribe the officials. I think not all of the owners want to have an illegal gambling business.
I'm calm mate.

What I'm telling, it's not the government that will approach those illegal casinos and make them illegal. Who should be doing the first move?

Not them but those illegal gambling places if they want to get certified and be legal.
5692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Many 2FA hardware are vulnerable to attacks on: January 30, 2021, 11:06:31 AM
For those who are too lazy to check the link and see what the attack is about, here's the excerpt from the CVE database:
Quote
An electromagnetic-wave side-channel issue was discovered on NXP SmartMX / P5x security microcontrollers and A7x secure authentication microcontrollers, with CryptoLib through v2.9. It allows attackers to extract the ECDSA private key after extensive physical access (and consequently produce a clone).
In short, it requires physical access and it will take some time to 'clone' your HW. It's not as if your 2FA suddenly become vulnerable when you store it in a secure storage.
Thanks for that summary, it is the first thing to come to my mind as I don't know that code and what is the description of that attack. You saved my time.

People who worry about this vulnerability should worry about $5 wrench attack instead.
Well yeah, better remain low key.
5693  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hello Folks! I want to know about Pi coin on: January 30, 2021, 09:43:21 AM
AFAIK, there's no exchange yet that supports it. It's been a long time since I've been seeing those people that are liking its "mobile mining". But if you'll understand how it works.

That's not worth of your phone's effort.
5694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 30, 2021, 08:59:39 AM
It is more dangerous on the internet as you will never know what will your children click in there.
Yeah right.

With one simple search about a casino or about gambling through a browser like Google Chrome, the algorithm will turn the ads to those services that have ads in gambling.

And when a child goes in front of a computer and did some research or even by just watching youtube videos, it's possible that an ad like that would come. Well in FB, I've seen gambling ads, those sponsored posts/ads.
5695  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 30, 2021, 08:19:25 AM
As I said earlier, beginners traders need to put their knowledge and self-confidence to work. The uniswap casa is another subject cause uniswap is not a good portal for crypto trading but it good for exchanging due to some scam that are listed on there. However, uniswap is also good for lending reserves aka liquidity pools where people provide money (in crypto) for uniswap pools and some earn interest.
I'm only telling a real situation that's truly happening for beginners.

On decentralized exchanges, including Uniswap, there are a lot of coins that have the same name, but all of them will be scams, except for one. It is very easy to avoid buying fraud on DEX when searching for a coin to trade using a contract. The contract of the original coin can be found on Ccoinmarketcap.
It could be a mistake of beginners at the start as they trade but if they have an idea how to check, they won't be a victim of those scam coins.
5696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 30, 2021, 03:39:39 AM
What I still wonder to what extent something falls under the term cheating. Cheating is different than breaking the rules.
I think they're similar.

If you fell into breaking the rules of a game, then that's considered cheating. Well, it depends upon to the situation and what the casino sees. But most likely, if someone breaks the rule for their own benefit and with the abuse of the casino, that's cheating.
5697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Secret Coin List which will surpass Ethereum on: January 29, 2021, 10:00:16 PM
They're not secret coins.

Some assessment like this should be stopped. It's the same before with bitcoin when people think that it can be surpassed by just another coin.

Ideas exactly like this, they're not viable anymore. You can rely on that list but I don't find any significance about it.
5698  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Localbitcoin.com accounts needed on: January 29, 2021, 09:30:19 PM
Don't let other people use your LBC accounts. I don't have mine but I've heard of this to be likely involved to a scam.

@OP, just create your own and verify it through your identity.

Warning! Anyone willing to lend their LBC account has the risk of facing legal issues and a heavy penalty for receiving money from hacked bank accounts.
And other illegal transactions.
5699  Other / Off-topic / Re: What’s the weirdest thing that you’ve kept in your wallet? on: January 29, 2021, 09:07:20 PM
A bubble gum.

I thought of it just the wrap of a bubble gum. But I wasn't expecting that it's with the bubble gum that I've chewed. Sounds weird but I was still a young guy when it happened.
5700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 29, 2021, 03:23:41 PM
Especially, avoid excitement and go slow. Look before you leap. Because it is a very serious and experimental platform for beginners if you want to succeed. Avoid scams and increase awareness.
Avoiding scam is hard for beginners.
It hard for beginners to avoid scams but when we are talking about trading the beginners are not dealing with a scammer but the market itself and what I believe they need is not to fear the market volatility so they can have the self-confidence to put their knowledge to work.
With that been said, the other thing I believe a beginner to avoid is to invest in a single coin, panic sell, emotionally trading, invest in hype base coin, and not having an exit plan.
You're right.

But just as they're trading, they would with the crowd and that suggests platform where to trade. And one possible case that can happen is them trading a scam coin in Uniswap.

I think that's rare or not, maybe, and possible to happen.
