5701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: June 07, 2016, 11:52:55 AM
The Feeling of being able to win a lot of money is the fact a lot of people are coming back.

And greedyness kills in gambling  Grin
5702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: June 07, 2016, 11:52:07 AM
To be honestly.. you can't make lots of profit on dice sites.

the odds are against you..

If you are into gambling you might try some sort of trading.. its like gambling with a bit of skill.
5703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: June 07, 2016, 11:51:13 AM
In general trading is comparable to gambling..
But since there are so many factors which influence the price.. its not pure gambling.

Its more about gathering informations and predicting the price.

5704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: June 07, 2016, 11:50:21 AM
Stopping with gambling is very difficult and I do not think you can just stop, you should make a sort of plan to build it down from time to down and than completely stop with it.

It is possible to stop as long as your not addicted.
If you're addicted to gambling you should get professional help.

Its the best way to get rid of such an addiction.
5705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I lost 700 mbtc on gambling on: June 07, 2016, 11:48:31 AM
I also lost quite a lot on dice sites..
its just not worth the coins..

Rather trade with them or invest them..

But this is easier said than done..
5706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: June 07, 2016, 11:47:26 AM
Almost everyone is losing in gambling..
At least if its going long term..
5707  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Private Key Generation on: June 07, 2016, 11:43:45 AM
You should know, that there are scrapers around who look for BTC Addresses with private keys created with simple (and most used ) passwords... just to empty them
after any amount of btc is send to them.
5708  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is the halving date actually known? on: June 07, 2016, 11:42:28 AM
Like already mentioned halving happens every 210.000 Blocks (which is roughly 2 years considered that 1 block is mined every 10 mins in average).

Does anyone know wheter reward is going to be halved on block 420.000 or first halved reward at block 420.001 ?
5709  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How random is the last digit of a block hash really is? on: June 07, 2016, 11:40:53 AM
cat /tmp/hashlist | sed -e 's/\(^.*\)\(.$\)/\2/' | sort | uniq -c  | sort

Here it is in chart form - definitely random!

Would have been kinda irritating if it wasnt random.
Since its SHA HASHING
5710  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to get the Public Keys of a bitcoin User on: June 07, 2016, 11:39:00 AM
There is no certainty that any of the previous outputs that were used to fund the transaction were received at addresses under the control of the person that arranged for you to receive the bitcoins (or that those previous outputs were received at addresses at all).

However, if you are certain that you know that a particular output was received at an address that was under the control of the person that arranged for you to receive the bitcoins, then you can retrieve the public key from the transaction ScriptSig.

And how is this technically done?
5711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: wallet.dat password question on: June 07, 2016, 11:38:16 AM
The password is purely for encryption purposes. If someone has an older wallet.dat and can guess the password they'll get the private keys. Sweep if you're not sure!

I learned the hard way. Sad

How so? Shocked

Got an old backup cracked or current ?
5712  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen after the halving? on: June 07, 2016, 11:32:21 AM
If i knew what happened to BTC after halving.. i would either invest all my money on btc or sell them all...
But unfortunately you can't be sure about that.
5713  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: June 07, 2016, 11:31:09 AM
Of course the plan is to hord as much btc as possible and wait for them to go to the moon.
Then sell about 50% and keep the rest for eventually more profit.
5714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: does anyone remember... on: June 07, 2016, 11:30:22 AM
Unfortunately i didn't knew anything about bitcoins back in 2013.
I wish i already knew it there  Cheesy
5715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin is PedoCoin - this is getting ridiculous on: June 07, 2016, 11:29:34 AM
I dont think this is too bad of a reputation for bitcoins.
I mean.. he didnt do that because bitcoin exists.. he just used it as payment processor..

He also could have used faked Paypal accound with fake credit card.. But this wouldnt be mentioned in such an article.
5716  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: June 07, 2016, 11:27:47 AM
I dont think Banks will ever accept bitcoin as payment.
They might create their own Blockchain technology.. but they definetly not gonna accept bitcoins
5717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: June 07, 2016, 11:27:12 AM
From the view of customer.. paypal seems to be better.
But Bitcoin with escrow system beats paypal at any stage.
5718  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: June 07, 2016, 11:26:44 AM
If i had 10 BTC to spend i would compare investments online.. But keep away from the risky ones.
Then invest about 5-7 btc.
2-3 would be for trading.
0.5 may be for gambling and the rest.. well.. i would spend it Cheesy
5719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: May 28, 2016, 10:55:56 AM
Well.. first of all you always gonna lose in the long run.

But if you want to play smart.. dont let your emotions control your game.
5720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Daily fantasy sports with bitcoin? on: May 28, 2016, 10:11:27 AM
This would be something new.
Its more risky because this will attract just a small group of people.
