5701  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2016, 09:48:20 AM
When i have to teach my kids about bitcoin, at first I have allow
my kids to watch any videos about bitcoin. Any videos that could
understand how to earn bitcoin, how to process bitcoin. By allowing
them to watch videos could really help my kids in anyway.
Well if you are really a parent then you would have known by now that kids would lack interest about watching those kinds of video. Also kids are not the proper audience to be introduced to bitcoin as they are still young to be doing other things besides school and having fun. I would wait for them to grow up maybe at 13 years of age when they know how to handle money.
5702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: November 05, 2016, 09:22:39 AM
Gambling is risky game of money from which most people lose and just a few wins. Gambling too is addictive and fun especially when you're winning and that's why most people can't get away from gambling once they get in it.
In gambling you only win from the start then you lose whenever you win a certain amount.

Yes it may be a sickness because you want to get rich as much as you get not knowing that you will be poor sooner or later. What I mean isthe addiction if you are addicted then you cannot think properly. And its start to temptation in which you are curious on that matter trying to win big.
well said its a sickness. if you put gambling in everyday in your life doing then your addicted to gambling. and addicted is a sickness.
Yep and that's probably about the only way to put it, gambling is an addiction and an addiction is a sickness.
Some would argue otherwise but i think that an addiction is a sickness.

Agreed, I also think that addiction is an other name of sickness, basically gambling is only sickness for those people who become addicted. Otherwise if we play gambling normally than definitely, it never give us any problem but when we go deep in it and play continuously and can't control our greediness than it become sickness for us. But for me, gambling is a way of enjoyment.
How can addiction and sickness lead to one thing. It is not like  Smoking Cigarettes in which you get addicted to and get a high chance of having lung cancer. When you get addicted to gambling the worst thing that will happen to you is lose all your money and be in debt it does not lead you to any form of sickness, you will just end up being broke.
5703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did not understand something with the Bitcoin on: November 05, 2016, 08:54:00 AM
Well the most simple solution there is if you are not a risk taker then do not go to jobs that pay bitcoin and choose fiat money that is more stable than bitcoin. Of course for risk takers the benefit of having Bitcoin as payment os yhe chance to take profit of your earning which Fiat currency do not have because  they are not volatile like cryptocurrencies.
5704  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you help with bitcoin? on: November 05, 2016, 06:09:12 AM
I can't for sure. But the media will, every time there is a success story  that pops out people gets interested in what and how do they do it. For example a 14 yo old boy reach 1 Million dollars just by trading his lunch money. that sort of headline will make people get interested in what he specifically do. If there is a millionaire because of bitcoin he would be instantly recognize by the media by now and make a headline out of it.
5705  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you put all your money into bitcoin? on: November 05, 2016, 05:13:05 AM
0% I rather earn Bitcoin than invest real money into it, because it is dangerous and might lose the value of my money if I did not buy at the right price. Also I would suggest if you are investing your money into bitcoin to don't put all your money in Bitcoin as it is dangerous, a good investor diversifies their investment so that if one thing happen to their one investment others won't be affected.
5706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The danger of the cyptocurrencies on: November 05, 2016, 04:13:54 AM
That danger would not occur if a currency were to devalue everything else entirely. It would be more gradual and not that heavy.
Also with Bitcoin's current Market Cap, 1 million dollars per coin is way too far away to begin with.
The Government wouldn't allow the world to live in a cashless system, in which some countries already started banning the use of Bitcoin already. And it impossible for the CIA or FBI to be involved or plan this scheme as it also being use by some criminals right now. Also Bitcoin's quantity is limited now like any FIAT currency in which can print new paper money to add to the supply. We can't live in a kind of limited Currency.
5707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: November 05, 2016, 02:47:44 AM
Normally gambling is only for adult but the problem of bitcoin is anonymous so they can't stop kids from gambling.
but i don't know why playing dice for example is like a kid game :p there is some games is not for kid like casino and others.
maybe it could damage the kids mind when he will interact with adult in gambling games.
I think they can play dice with a board of snake and ladder game, but with a dice game that is also money involve for kids, that is already that good for kids, so for those parents who is out there that didn't want to make their children addicted into it, supervise them so that they will not get hooked with it.
Without money involve, they are just playing not gambling. Kids will have more fun if they play a lot of games and it will help them develop their childhood as a children. As parents we need to support them on that as it is our responsibility to raise them for good but never make them learn how to play or gamble for money, there's a right time for everything.
You can't avoid having kids playing with money involve, Because even the parents give them money to spend, their young minds tend to think at first they will buy food or toys and when it is not enough they will try to bet their money in playing games just to have more, Of course it is inevitable for them not to try it because there are so many influences you see in the real life and by watching Television.
5708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone ever stop gambling? but then gamble again? on: November 05, 2016, 02:29:59 AM
yes i did, it was sick when i can stay away from gambling for 1 weeks than in the 8 days i try gamble again due i feel like something has lose in my life.
I think you are addicted already but not that kind of "out of control" because you can control yourself at this point maybe if you will never stop in just 1 week and every day you are in the casino, that's the time that you will be also called "out of control in gambling".
I didn't play gambling every day. I just gamble occasionally and that is fine for me even if I lose because I know how to manage my financial money.

Well I think your mind knows that gambling is missing in your life that's why you return to it, Because those are some symptoms of addiction as I see it, Because it is hard to stop when it is your habit to gamble. Just by you feeling sick by stopping shows that you are really addicted to it. What you need is rehabilitation in which it can try you to stop gambling permanently.
5709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2016, 01:52:55 AM
It can happen, some guys really spend money for games. A proof I can see is Steam accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. Using Bitcoin by gamers is actually win-win situation for both the gamer and the seller as they both exchange goods. Also it is happening now but not necessarily in Pokemon Go, I know games like Dota 2 has sellers which accept bitcoin for their in-game items.
5710  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: November 04, 2016, 06:11:06 PM
Thats true some people does try to influence others, the week hands, and they usually drop their coins. But in the general people didnt forget bitcoin bubble of 1000 dollars and since bitcoin is a bit behind those people keep saying its a dead coin.
What is the purpose of having people dropping of bitcoin? Is it the theory of massive selling equals to a lower price? Because of you are referring to small time investors selling their bitcoin won't affect the price outcome, but when it comes too seasoned pros they won't even listen or try to bother about an article saying "bitcoin is dead" because they really know where is the price of bitcoin will go.
5711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: November 04, 2016, 05:50:19 PM
For me I would rather hold my Bitcoin or amy kind of Cryptocurrency in its respective wallets as it is much safer than holding it to a site. Of course you will handle transaction fees with it, but by transferring your coins into your wallet gives you assurance that your fortune is still woth you to grow. Also just don't trust any new kind of exchange you see.
5712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 04, 2016, 02:57:41 PM
Depending on how hard the government tracks down users I might switch to an altcoin.

NAV can synch and stake over tor so no obvious crypto coin traffic can be seen at ISP. Also has anon transfer so even if government searches blockchain they cannot find out address I sent or received NAV from.

If bitcoin is banned in many countries it will just make that altcoin or an even more secure and secretive one be used.
But isn't that Bitcoin being banned by the majority of the countries affect the other altcoins' price in a bad way? Because Bitcoin was the highest and most valuable cryptocurrency out there. Just by being bitcoin banned don't you think other altcoins will be chase by the government next?  It is a high possibility as it would appear the virtual currency is not in favor with the government.
5713  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: November 04, 2016, 08:35:45 AM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.
Probably if i am in some emergency and i need money that bad and im desperate now in needing money i will apply for some good laons that they offer me good money and small interest of and i will pay that once i get ok and get out in the hospital and i will work hard again to pay that money.
Loan is the answer my friend, you have no choice but to borrow money as your goal is only to have money under the desperate times. You will do everything and people even try to steal just to have money but for you, you do it in a legitimate way..
I don't think it is possible for a bank to give a loan if you are broke. There are certain agreements and analysis of your financial situation before they approve and give you a loan. To prevent this kind of situations what we need is an Emergency Fund that we will only use in times of emergency in which depends on you.
5714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 07:29:49 AM
Even banning bitcoin from certain countries does not stop the citizens of that country from using Bitcoin, As an example Russia banned Bitcoin but many HYIP sites are made in Russia and also showing that Russia is circling around 1-3 on visiting bitcoin related sites. Unless that country strictly implement the laws the Citizens won't stop using bitcoin.
5715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 04, 2016, 05:19:36 AM
Bitcoin can help poor countries, because it helps actually their people to get some income online easily. I know many friends from poor countries making a living from earning Bitcoin online ,and it's can increase a new job for poor country ,that job can do by following campaign.

By Campaign do you mean "Signature Campaigns" ? Because I can't call sig campaigns as a kind of job. Yes they are ways to earn online  but that is not a kind of job. A job requires training and specialization before you work. Any people that are members here in Bitcointalk can wear a signature campaign  provided that they follow the rules. Also what you earn in a campaign is not enough to call it earning for a living.
5716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: November 04, 2016, 12:22:18 AM
You can't control your greediness since it is in nature of human beings and that is main obstacle of staying away from gambling. If you are used to gamble with Bitcoin then you are lucky and can stay away more easily than typical gambler. All you need to do is not to keep Bitcoin in your possession or immediate access this will be helpful for sure.
gambling online using bitcoin even much more harder to stay away as you provided an easy access anytime and anywhere to gamble just to touch your smartphone and you are sit on the casino table. technology sometimes become a boomerang , you need to be more careful use them . it's more easier when you able to stay away from internet then you would stay away from gambling too.
The revolution in communication technology has allowed us to have anything in the tips of our fingers, for better or worse, so today self-control is more important than ever.

This is so true, procrastination is a real issue nowday as many people are just wasting their time on pointless internet browsing and then feel unsatisfied with life. This people are in risk group for addictions, including the gambling one, so it's important to always keep oneself occupied with some healthy activities.
When I think about greediness mostly people will find other ways besides gambling, because gambling is not a sure win-win situation unlike having a business in which you do certain things to maximize your profit. Also my experience in Casino high-rollers gives free chips to random people believing that by giving them chips the luck and money will continue which I believe is generous dor them.
5717  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: November 03, 2016, 11:59:38 PM
This is a wish.

That someday major gadget stores would accept Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies so that we could do away with very high excise taxes.
I would imagine the cost of gadgets like cameras would be more competitive if BITCOIN is used instead of the current paper exchanges.

Gadgets here cost more than our counterparts overseas.. and when I asked for the reason.. I was told that I belong to a very small market and the demand is lower than our neighboring countries - thus the higher cost.

But if BITCOIN may be used to buy... then perhaps the price would be much much less than what we currently see.

Please include home and office supplies and home appliances in your wish.  Grin I find it also expensive in our area including the delivery fee. If that will change maybe a lot of buyer will just stay in buying appliances here rather than getting overseas.
Once you are in business you are required to comply with the laws of a certain country where you are operating and if you say major stores they do not accept bitcoin easily unless they can make sure that they will not lose on the big price fluctuation, that is their major concern so far aside from tax issues.
But now a days, most of the merchants are protecting themselves from bitcoin price fluctuations by selling off their bitcoins immediately after a business. That must be the right solution for their problems.
Merchants are right now spending bitcoins after their business because they are not indented to make profits by saving it.
Or hiring some experts on bitcoin trading in their business
So instead to protect them from bitcoin volatile price , they might could earn more money  by trade bitcoin inside the real business
I do this method in my small business , so far working well as bitcoin price keep growing .
Most small businesses wouldn't have the spare resources to hire a bitcoin expert, not easy to find one either.
The places that do already accept bitcoin as payment need to start seeing it as a currency, not just something they need to convert.
You don't get it, you can't get away from an excise tax even if you are using a different currency even cryptocurrency if regulated by a country is taxable. A companies earning whether it is cash or not is taxable and payable with fiat. And also I don't think bitcoin can be a practical way for over the counter payments as cashiers needs to wait for the confirmations of the transaction before making the sale valid, maybe door-to-door deliveries are plausible for bitcoin payments.
5718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ? on: November 03, 2016, 05:00:51 PM
I don't think other altcoins affected the price of bitcoin in anyway, even if the altcoin claims that they are some kind of improve "bitcoin" even on launch of ICO, bitcoin prices are not affected. Also other altcoins have failed to overtake bitcoin they can't even go near the price of bitcoin. But I guessed when all the altcoins are non-existent maybe Bitcoin price will go up as their will be no altcoin trading that will happen.
5719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: November 03, 2016, 04:00:32 PM
Well Bitcoin's price appreciation is better than any bank's interest rate on it's saving also if you did it right you can make money in holding bitcoin rather than saving your money in a bank. Also it is impossible right now for a bank to accept bitcoin as bitcoin is currently volatile and what I think are  people will prefer to loan out fiat money rather than a volatile currency which is more practical.
5720  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: November 03, 2016, 01:58:49 PM
I think it needs to co-relate with each other as in order for bitcoin for it to increase its price it had to have demand, For it to have demand many people must use it and allow others to be introduce with bitcoin. I also have encountered a situation myself I have experienced as I have come across a news saying that "bitcoin prices are more stable than gold" which I become curious with it and now up to this date is loving bitcoin.
