5721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0,00039 BTC fee still not approved? on: March 03, 2017, 10:02:08 AM
Even though one day passed, the transaction is still not approved? How long do I have to wait for the transaction to be approved?
There's no definite answer but there could be an estimated amount of blocks depending on the fee you paid per byte.

If the transaction is not approved, will the 0,00039 BTC value be returned to me?
Yes, if it gets dropped from the network, it will be returned to the senders address.

Should I wait for the transaction to be approved? Can I do another transaction now?
You can wait while doing few other steps like adding it to "ViaBTC website" so it could speed up the process (https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/). If you're going to double spend it, then that's when you want to make another transaction.

Read this thread for more detailed version: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1802212.0
5722  Other / MultiBit / Re: Transaction rejected by our node. on: March 03, 2017, 05:45:29 AM
1st issue: You used a very low fee than the recommended fee on per byte basis and it resulted to the 1st warning
2nd issue: After following your main address (https://blockchain.info/address/163FQt96KHh9Di6L9vtahq9DGpM3T1oaYb), it seems that you've double spend it since some nodes haven't dropped the initial transaction and that resulted to the 2nd warning

It might take a while but one of those eventually will be confirmed (although you still used a fee lower than recommended on second attempt)

To get an idea for needed fees per byte: https://blockchain.info/address/163FQt96KHh9Di6L9vtahq9DGpM3T1oaYb
5723  Economy / Services / Re: bitcoin freelance websites on: March 02, 2017, 06:27:02 PM
Another option that is missing from "keyscore44's thread" is Cryptogrind: https://www.cryptogrind.com/

Also there's a website that compiles some job offers into a single place (like a working hub): https://coinality.com/
5724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction reversed on: March 02, 2017, 08:14:23 AM
Does anyone had any problems with bitify ?
Nothing so far although this issue should fall down under their teams fault (since bitify escrow most likely used a fee, less than recommended and it resulted in it being dropped after few days).

It's there a probability I can lose my coins ?
As long as you've provided enough evidence, your coins should be safe with them.
5725  Economy / Economics / Re: BitCoin Exchange on: March 01, 2017, 10:14:25 AM
Not sure where you're staying but will base my answer on my own location. I've worked with a local offline (on spot) exchange before and the actual volume of BTCitcoin trades never been to a level that gains you any significant amount in terms of taking few percentages from each trades (my guess is, it's due to all the other alternative options that can be done with a press of a button, in other words online trades are way more popular than the traditional exchanges since the whole steps are a lot easier). On the other hand, it isn't worth the hassle to go and take permits just to see yourself making few trades on a daily basis.
5726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin Announcement? on: February 27, 2017, 04:35:07 PM
- Are there any rules except the official posting rules here?
No.

- What is the best way to write a post like that?
Make it look professional at least (most tend to just post without even aligning stuff). Few simple details that can be done with provided tools above each post can have a big impact.

- General tipps?
It would be best to have an account that is at least Jr. member and above so the images would be shown normally (instead of links if posted by Newbie users).
5727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Link abbreviation services paying with Bitcoin on: February 27, 2017, 06:46:47 AM
Here's some that I've heard of (before you start, do some research about each since some tend to ban or block your account easily):

1. coinurl - https://coinurl.com/
2. linkshrink - https://linkshrink.net/
3. binbucks - http://www.binbucks.com/
4. adfocus - http://adfoc.us/

Take note: If you're going to post those links here, it's against forum rules:
5. No link shortners that requires users to view an ad.

Here's my entry Smiley

Not sure if you're aware or not but you're using parts of a design that I made in the past. The middle part is based on my previous work, even though you tweaked it a bit (exact same font / Not all caps / deleted the in between parts / changed the order of the names). In a way you're presenting my past work, as yours (even if you used only parts of it).
Regardless of the fact that both of your entries are invalid (except the Hero version in your 2nd entry, although it needs tweaking in terms of size for both end parts), you shouldn't present someone else's work as yours (be original).

Since I've seen a lot of invalid entries, I recommend everyone to read the following link (middle part of 1st post) and change their entries accordingly).
Signature restrictions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

Update:
I have a little doubt on that but for proving that he has copied your work you have to provide the proof so that people know and decide that how he have copied your work. As you said he have copied some part of the design you provided so maybe he only copied the idea!
I've been designing signatures for long enough to notice someone using a plagiarized content (from my previous designs).

Proof 1 (1st part): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1753651.msg17633878#msg17633878
Proof 1 (2nd part): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1785247.0

Proof 2 (1st part): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1775265.0
Proof 2 (2nd part): You can see it in my portfolio thread (link in my profile, not the escrow link in personal message area).

Check middle parts of each so you would know. For further proofs, you could also ask each respective owners.

Violating one of the rules:
33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]
5729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the high fees problem changed your behaviour when spending bitcoins? on: February 26, 2017, 12:30:23 PM
"No" since mostly(since before), I've used the appropriate fees and the difference with recent events is minimal in my case, therefor my behavior hasn't changed. From my observation, majority of users that I see complain nowadays, are those that used to put a fee lower than recommended (and got used to it since it did the trick) and they see the current situation as a big change rather than a step climb in fees.
5730  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Bitcoin Business Directory For Bitcoin Entrepreneurs? Thoughts? on: February 26, 2017, 08:26:59 AM
So I would list sites and try and interview the owners and get key information from them. Information like:
- When they started the business
- Why they started the business
- How big their team is
- Where they want the business to go
Usually the answer to these questions is already provided on most websites.

So I would list sites and try and interview the owners and get key information from them. Information like:
- How much they are earning
- How difficult it is to run
These on the other hand is going to be tricky since not everyone is going to reveal the answers.

Does something like this already exist in the Bitcoin Space?
Yes, here's the list (there might be some more):

1. https://coinmap.org/welcome/
2. http://spendbitcoins.com/
3. http://usebitcoins.info/
4. http://bitcoin.travel/

Any thoughts?
Regardless of the fact that there's already similar websites, it would always be nice to have a new addition to those lines. Some websites don't have everything listed yet (tend to miss few businesses out there) so there's definitely room for one more.
5731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Irreversible payment methods? Protection for sellers advice needed on: February 25, 2017, 05:48:15 PM
I believe this link will give all the answers that you need about reversibility of different methods: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Payment_methods
5732  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin accepted shop registry ? on: February 25, 2017, 05:44:08 AM
Registration mail never comes and their support (support@spendbitcoins.com) is giving failure notification.
What's the exact message that you receive about the failure?

Here's another two websites for you:

1. http://bitcoin.travel/
2. http://usebitcoins.info/
5733  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did not receive full transaction even after miners fee on: February 24, 2017, 10:36:01 PM
You're mixing $35 to 0.030179BTC. Check the transaction link again: https://blockchain.info/tx/1eb6a5997ae3c3c98f42ac13feb0f813d0dc640825ff7196d3a3eebcb134d9c2
Hover over the 0.030179BTC amount and it will show you the exact value at the time of transaction process (which is $35.16).
5734  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hosting companies that accept Bitcoin? on: February 24, 2017, 02:02:37 PM
I've used "steadyturtle" in the past and never had any security issues with them so I would recommend them (their not the cheapest out there but very reliable).
Website: https://www.steadyturtle.com/
Link on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=972575.0

You should move this thread to "Service Discussion section" instead.
5735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin mining ? on: February 23, 2017, 06:34:02 PM
Refer to this post that I made few days ago:
The following links would give you all the answers you need:

1. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining
2. http://www.coindesk.com/information/how-bitcoin-mining-works/
3. https://www.weusecoins.com/en/mining-guide/
4. https://www.bitcoinmining.com/

Those links would give you the general idea about hardware's but nowadays only "ASIC Mining" is being used (although it's not profitable for everyone, due to electricity rates).
Best technique in mining is to be as efficient as you can while doing it (although majority don't fall on the scale to even earn any profit nowadays due to electricity rates / rise in difficulty and the needed energy to power those ASIC mining rigs).
Note: Calculate first (everything), before you try it.
5736  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A hotel booking site that accepts bitcoin on: February 23, 2017, 12:08:22 PM
I would love to add Bitcoin to that list, but as I am sure you can imagine, I expect my colleagues to have the typical (and very annoying) "Is bitcoin not illegal and used for drugs and guns?"
Isn't other payment options (like cash to be exact), also used for those? BTCitcoin is another form of payment and it could be used in many ways, same goes for cash.

If anyone has any input on how accepting bitcoin could help attract additional business, as well as any other input, it would be greatly appreciated.
The whole idea of accepting BTCitcoin is something that many tend to miss (it will always be a plus). Imagine a tourist that stands in front of a hotel that they want to book, without any cash but has enough BTCitcoin on tip of their fingers (figure of speech), they will be able to book a room right away using your website (without the need for worrying if they have enough balance on their credit cards or enough cash of the country their at). That's one scenario and this discussion shouldn't even be here, since accepting BTCitcoin should be considered as a priority (not an issue).
5737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Could anyone help get my transaction confirmed on: February 23, 2017, 06:19:12 AM
In case you can't wait any longer (urgent matter since there's over 91k unconfirmed transactions at the moment and might take a while), you could always contact the following users in order to include your transactions in a block so it would receive confirmations fast (Not sure how much they charge):

1. kano: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=36044
2. macbook-air: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=16114
5738  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking For someone to create a faucet rotator script like included example on: February 22, 2017, 05:34:38 PM
Back in the days, I used the following faucet rotator (it's free) and it works (All of the faucets load normally although it has less functions than what you were looking for). It's also fairly easy to edit the links for faucets to rotate.
Link: https://github.com/ExploreBTC/BitcoinGrind

Read how the codes are instructed inside of it and maybe you could replicate it for the script that you're using.
5739  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: electrum 25 blocks to confirm using standard mining fee on: February 22, 2017, 10:41:27 AM
Unfortunately the network is cluttered with a lot of unconfirmed transactions at the moment (81k from the time of writing this post) and as result, even transactions with normal fees tend to receive confirmations a bit late than usual.
Source: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
The only way for you to get rid of this issue for future transactions, is to use a fee higher than usual or better look at this website and use the appropriate fee: http://bitcoinfees.21.co/#fees
Posting your transaction link could also help in identifying the issue (which most likely is a lower fee than recommended).

Most likely it will get confirmed (although will take a while).
5740  Economy / Services / Re: Cleaning up this forum on: February 21, 2017, 06:01:07 PM
There is a lot of scammy, and potentially illegal, services being offered here and very little response from the moderators or the community to call this out.  I am really surprised there are not rules about what kinds of things can be posted and that stuff that is obvious scams continue to be offered with no reprisal.
Although scams aren't moderated by forum moderators and admins, the community (DT1 and DT2 members) do everything they could in order to notify others by leaving appropriate ratings.
This is where the rules are stated: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

I am not saying the sig campaigns are scams themselves, but it is hard to find more than a handful of posts here that are not "make money doing nothing" kinds of things.  The fact that we have hundreds of those going on leads to just a flood of posts that have almost no value to the forum, just so people can up their post count on their campaign.
Since on your 1st post, you mentioned "this subforum" then Services sections would always contain such threads and posts. For quality posts and discussions, you should look at other boards although I agree with the fact that the quality has been lower than what it used to be in the earlier years.

It used to be a place for people offering actual services - programming, web development, consulting, legal services.  Now that is gone almost entirely and what little there is gets buried in a flood of "get rich quick" schemes.
It's still the same place but as you said, it gets buried quite soon (few hours on page 1, then those threads go down to page 2 and so on). Services section should have it's on different sections (it's very disorganized).

so they can spray their fake viagra posts all over the internet?
(like viagra posts and whatnot that I am sure they are flooded with)
I think you're mixing posts made by bots to those made by humans.

That is what I think is the problem though, the idea that because scams happen and people fall for them then we should just let them post here and search for new rubes.  And furthermore that there is not even a sticky post with rules like "Straight up ponzi schemes are not allowed".
There used to be a warning on top of "Investor-based games section" about warning everyone in general but I can't see it anymore. Regardless of it, people should do their own work into identifying things and learn to not get involved (although were talking about people and in general majority always fall for such things).
