5721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 7 Things to Know to Become a Successful Crypto Trader on: December 15, 2019, 11:07:11 AM
Pretty obvious that the OP just wanted to bring traffic so that website, and I'm not going to be surprise if that is his own blog, Lol.

Anyways, thanks for sharing though, I would say that it is well written and different from the other post that I have seen so far. Regarding diversification though, for me the real meaning is that don't put everything in crypto, you should have a portfolio that contains stock or even precious metals and real state.
5722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CEO of Bakkt has been appointed as new US senator on: December 15, 2019, 10:08:55 AM
You're late, we have already a discussion about it, This just happened after Bakkt CEO becomes US senator!.

Doesn't change anything though, she is just one head as Senator, and I think majority are still anti-bitcoin to be honest. So I don't see any pro-bitcoin legislature in the next coming years.
5723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]:Crawford vs. Kavaliauskas on: December 15, 2019, 07:09:31 AM
It's over, Crawford retained his belt.

Kava was only good in the first 3 rounds, and after that, Crawford took over, round ninth stoppage. Would like to see Crawford vs Porter or Crawford vs Spence, it will be explosive, lol.

It's a tactical fight for Crawford here, he have hit with an  overhand right in the third round if I'm not mistaken but the referee rule it out as a slipped. But after that, he has read Kavaliauskas, just looked at how he counters him with his lead right. It was just a jab, but it was that accurate.

He needs to really go and fight the big boys on the other fence Crawford vs Spence is what boxing fans wanted to see.

I wouldn't say that this is a tactical fight, this is more of a cherry pick by Bob Arum to look like Crawford is really that good. As @Baofeng has pointed out, good for three rounds and after that Crawford shows us what he is the champion and elite level.

Kavaliauskas is not on Bud Crawford's level, in paper it looks like he has a chance, but we have seen Crawford psychically breaking him down. He was supposed to be the stronger of the two, but Crawford just push him. And when the pressure starts to mount, Crawford did go for the kill.
5724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency could determine the UK general elections? on: December 14, 2019, 12:00:28 PM
It just proves that there's no connection whatsoever between elections and millennials. Politics is very different though, do you think that they will vote just because a candidate is pro-crypto? (I'm assuming that this is the point of the OP).

But since the election is over, millennials votes has no effect, sorry to tell the OP about that.
5725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tezos retained it's top 10th Position in the market on: December 14, 2019, 11:32:48 AM
Tezos is gaining more momentum because of Staking. They have been delivering a decent return of 6 to 7% annually. At the same time, the price has been gradually going on the upside. In such a scenario it will encourage investors to invest in it.

Yes, this is the only reason why suddenly Tezor bolted out and make it to the top 10.

And the thing with its staking is that most of the reputable exchanges are rolling it out, that's why investors has some sort of feeling confident that's why they suddenly pour their money and invest on it.

So it's a good strategy on their part and could buy them some time before the market picks up again next year.
5726  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto auction website on: December 14, 2019, 10:41:23 AM
Not to burst the bubble for you, but what exactly do you want to accomplished here?

Hardware wallets? The safe and best method is to acquire it not in auctions but to buy it from Ledger or Trezor or to their official reseller, simply as that. No need to go to auction or make a bid, just saying.
5727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 14, 2019, 10:04:43 AM
17 consecutive wins for Bucks till now and they are unstoppable.
It is their season to get the title and Giannis deserves a ring, he has pushed this team to their best performance.
This record is the 2nd longest streak in franchise history and I hope they are going to continue and get the best streak in history.

Yes, looks like the Bucks has quickly settled down, their chemistry is 100% and it seems that they are really invincible and unstoppable at this point. But this game is very long and gruelling, 80+ so we still don't know if they can hold it.

I'm waiting for the big test, Lakers in about a week. This will be a big game for them and every NBA fans as going to watch and see who's going to be on top.
5728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: December 13, 2019, 11:34:08 PM
As a gambler, I sometimes talk about my winnings, but with my fellows gamblers. I don't boast or tell it to someone specially those who don't gamble because they won't really understand it and they might take it negatively.

So just be careful guys, maybe it's better to keep it quiet and just enjoy your winnings with your families and friends, just sayin'.
5729  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto Exchange BitMex Hit With $300 Million Investor Suit on: December 13, 2019, 10:28:12 PM
Well it also says $50 million but what the hell is $250 for punitive damage? I have to agree that Amato might have inflated the claims here, and my opinion is that the judge won't award that big money to him and I agree with @squatter, this could be very well be settled out of court but we really don't know what the real numbers are.

Everyone here is really trying to scam each other,  Smiley
5730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: December 13, 2019, 09:48:01 PM
He's a joke and his loud mouth has made him into a caricature that everybody wants to see get smoked. That's the legacy he's built for himself, the loudmouth clown the everyone wants to see destroyed.
Why are you hating on him lol? Floyd Mayweather has a loudmouth as well and so does a lot of other boxers. People are jealous of him because he's rich and lives a very fancy life. His mouth was loud when he became the champion and created the greatest moments in history. So what has changed now? He's still talented, loud-mouthed and rich! Don't forget the "talented" part.

Floyd can back up all his trash talk, while Conor looks like a clown talking against his opponent and even goes over like talking about religion, sex and its borderline racism just like what he did against Khabib.

And that's why people hated Conor, just saying.
5731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Keys is coming. One exchange is going to fail. Stay safe, take action. on: December 13, 2019, 09:31:34 PM
For the record though, here is a nice discussion on previous proof of keys event.

Tomorrow is "Proof of Keys Day".
Proof of Keys / Proof of Trust / Bitcoin Independence Day

And yes, after this event, nothing will happen eventually, people will continue to go on with their 'normal lives' here in crypto. As for HitBTC, it has a lot of accusations in the past, so I don't know why people continue to trade on it.

5733  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Sec regulation making the Bull market slower? on: December 09, 2019, 12:47:04 PM
We yet to see another Bull market after 2017.

We might see one in 2021, assuming the four year cycle.

SEC is significantly regulating the Crypto but it's still yet to be processed. ICos, STOs then ETF, are we going to get any indication for those staff sooner?

Unlikely that we will see SEC approving ETF's.

They are clamping on ICO's and if I'm not mistaken, they have sued projects already. Troubled messaging app Kik sued by SEC over initial coin offering.

They're even barring US citizens from investing in ICOs.
5734  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto analyst peter brandt bitcoin will reach $100000 on: December 09, 2019, 12:04:25 PM
Just another wild educated guess,  Smiley

On Sept 21,

https://twitter.com/PeterLBrandt/status/1175453445895143424

Together with John McAfee, Peter is one of those who predicted that BTC will go to $1 million so it's your call if you're going to believed him or not.  Grin

5735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: AJ's next fight on: December 09, 2019, 11:44:34 AM
His next fight is where there is a lot of incentive with less risk.

(1) Usyk - a bloated Cruiserweight who just move to Heavyweight in his last fight. Mandatory for Joshua's WBO belt

(2) Pulev - mandatory for the IBF belt.

(3) Winner of Wilder vs Fury II.

So it's either Hearn, who manages Joshua put up a step aside money so that Joshua can fight the winner of Wilder vs Fury and unify the Heavyweight belt. And there's a lot of money for sure that it's hard to resist for both parties.
5736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: December 08, 2019, 09:16:22 PM
Not to burst Anthony Joshua's win, but the WBO president Paco Valcarcel has said that Joshua will have to face the mandatory next, Oleksandr Usyk in 180 days.
[.. snip .. ]
https://twitter.com/PacoValcarcel/status/1203438265271017473

I do not think this is a right decision by Paco Valcarcel to call it mandatory. So based on this the next fight of him will be against the Alexander Usyk in about 180 days. So what will be the fate of third fight between Ruiz and Joshua ? Any official verdict on it ?

Lets give those two some rest, they are tired from each other for 3rd fight in a row Smiley

Usyk vs AJ - dont think that they will fight. Usyk just had a debut in heavyweight (advanced from cruiserweight). His opponent was not very tough (in the interview Usyk told that he could have finished him in round 2, but coach said to do some boxing in new weight category and to test himself), and already a fight agains top3 boxer? Not gonna happen so fast.

Very interesting reply coming from Anthony Joshua,

Joshua Ready For Usyk: Let's Rock and Roll Then, No Problem!.

Looks like he is still hype from winning the fight against Ruiz and he is ready to rock and roll against Usyk next. That article also shows how Joshua matured, he says he no longer looking for highlights KO, but prefer the 'sweet science' of boxing.
5737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: December 08, 2019, 01:03:04 PM
Good news  Smiley.

Timor Leste won't go home empty handed as Imbrolia Araujo dos Reis gives her country a bronze medal in the teakwondo event.

At least every country that participated in this regional meet had a medal now, that might boost their confidence.

That's great, even with the bronze medal they won't go home winless. It's an accomplishment for the new member of Southeast Asia. Timore Leste should be motivated with this accomplishment to pursue their sports program in the future.

Yes, I would agree that it's good to see TL win medal in this meet. Good job!.

@MWesterweele - I think volleyball in the Philippines is also huge, but I would agree that Thailand is far more superior. But let's see, they are the host country so I wouldn't be surprise if they pull some kind of upsets here.
5738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hard fork: Istanbul today Dec 7 on: December 08, 2019, 11:55:34 AM

https://huobiglobal.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000023103-ETH-Istanbul-Hard-Fork-Impacts-All-ERC20

Read number 4, they wanted to be sure that everything is secure and stable. They don't want to take chances in this upgrade as it may bring more harm on them. I guess this is the right decision, instead of rushing things out, it's better to take it slowly and when the dust has settled and everything looks perfect, then it will resumed.
5739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Cryptocurrency' a misnomer for Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2019, 10:46:29 AM
Do we really need to complicate things here?

I mean 90% of people in crypto sphere are non-technical person, so it doesn't make sense to be very precise in our jargon or lingo here. If A and B individuals are talking and understand each other whether they used the term crypto-currency or crypto-money then it's enough.
5740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jerwin Ancajas vs. Miguel Gonzalez on: December 08, 2019, 09:38:38 AM
I watched round 5 and 6 of the fight, this Gonzalez was really outclassed by Jerwin. However, I'm not totally sold on his performance, as compare to let's say Casimero. Maybe it was because of the opposition in front of him, but if he did face other champion in his decision, he will be in a tough fight let's say Estrada.

Well it's good that he won and successful on his 8th title defense. But it was not very impressive, missed a lot of shots and he looks very awkward, IMHO. But congrats anyways.

A win is still a win, style makes fight so perhaps Jerwin wasn't able to showcase his full talent because of the way Gonzales fight. And for the record, he is not the original fighter that he supposed to face so somewhere along the way his preparation was different against a type of fighter like Gonzalez.

But I would agree that he should really face tougher opponents or even champion vs champion here. He had defended his belt many times so it's time for him and MP promotions to look for bigger fights in the future to see how good Jerwin really is.
