5721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Better than US Dollar? on: September 18, 2019, 07:32:02 PM
My reaction to the OP's topic of discussion is an emphatic no! Bitcoin is still battling with mass adoption and acceptance whereas the US' dollar is widely accepted and known by every country of the world. Despite the Pounds Sterling's strength and value, it isn't even globally accepted, let alone the Bitcoin. The dollar remians better than any other currency, Bitcoin inclusive.
5722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altcoins can get you Rekt on: September 18, 2019, 10:29:21 AM
This isn't entirely true. A lot of people have become stinkingly rich hodlings altcoins. What would you say of someone who bought Binance in 2017 when it was around $0.10 (lets say 1,or those who bought ETH, Litecoin or Monero at that early stage? Of course, they are definitely profitable now. So, it's not a generalization that hodling altcoins isn't profitable. It depends what altcoins one is hodling.

Why not accepted me?
Perhaps, he couldn't go past the grammar impasse in your posts. If I were the BM I could go pass that and give you a chance into the campaign seeing your merit score is ok. Sadly, I ain't.
5724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs vs IEOs? on: September 17, 2019, 01:31:27 PM
there are so many ico i have been part of but nowadays there are a trend is coming in the way of IEO. But i can not figure out why? because IEO is already have tokens on exchange that is why or is there any other reason?

What thoughts you have about it ?
IEO is seen as more credible than ICOs because tokens/coins are listed on already existing exchanges. This gives investors the needed boost and confidence which ICOs most times don't have. It's a great advantage because we all love to put our money where we feel it's secured. Personally, I wouldn't put my money on an ICO except I am cocksure the team wears integrity like a second skin. We all fear dumps and projects not getting listed at all. These are a few of the things IEOs take care of as an edge over ICOs.

BTC Address (must be SegWit): I dont have SegWit address if it is possible i want to use my mobile phone wallet address. If it’s not possible i’ll look for SegWit address.
It's very possible and easy to create a segwit address even on mobile. Just download an Electrum, coinomi or mycelium mobile app and create a new wallet (just remember to select the segwit option during the creation process) and of course don't forget to safelf backup your seed phrase.

Good luck with you application  Wink
Besides, the easiest would be to download Greenbits app on phone from playstore which every Android phone has. It's straight SegWit and you don't need to adjust anything. Just allow it sync. That's all to it.
5726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still excited when there is news about the real Satoshi coming up on: September 15, 2019, 03:17:40 PM
I have said it severally on different threads here that the unveiling the identity of the "true" Satoshi Nakamoto is really inconsequential at this time in the history of Bitcoin. I am nonchalant therefore about such news. And I think the OP should too. We can only be bothered if such a revelation of the true Satoshi will destabilize Bitcoin and its function and usage.
5727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beat CoinMarketCap on: September 15, 2019, 10:46:14 AM
I'v found a upcoming website which also offers life prices, like Coinmarketcap. The website looks more appealing to me as it has a fresh and young look. I like the idea that I am not supporting one of the bigger players. Let me know if you also like this website: https://www.coinranker.net
OP, to tell you the truth, it's going to be very hard for investors to trust any other site more than the pioneer coinmarketcap.com even when glaring evidence of its inefficiency is there. I like coingecko. But how many people know or use it compared to the number at coinmarketcap? It's just the same thing with Bitcoin. Despite it's lag and backlog and lackluster, traders still hold it tight like it's oxygen. Of course, there are altcoins whose speed of transaction is light speed when compared to Bitcoin. Yet, we still treasure Bitcoin.

This day coinmarketcap is overrated (to say the least) I don't know why it even insists on a project being on two exchanges before getting it listed.
5728  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MB8 Coin - Team Doesn't Return Coins on: September 14, 2019, 12:50:06 PM
I login my wallet today and found exact same scam happen to me too. I have worked so long for this bounty and so disappointed to found all the tokens moved by the company. I have emailed the support too but no one replied. Can anyone help me restore my coins ?

Oh dear! Another victim. I wonder what could have prompted them to withdraw already sent reward/payment for a job well done. And support is still not yet responded to my mail too.

Edited: Issue has been resolved now and the coins sent back to my wallet but with around 20coins or so still missing.
5729  Economy / Speculation / Re: 4 Key Similarities to Previous Bull Market Corrections on: September 14, 2019, 12:21:12 PM
There should be this assurance by now that no one can claim to know where Bitcoin price is headed to. The best we can do is mere speculation because nothing is certain here. There is this forecast that Bitcoin will hit $16,000 by October but I am taking that with a pinch of salt.
5730  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: September 14, 2019, 08:51:00 AM
If you are looking for income you can able to get much higher profit in digital currency than offline currency which is fiat but digital currency is much risky to invest than offline currency there are always good and bad side of both currency. And still we need these both in our entire living in this world.
Yes, there is much rampant cases of fraud with digital currency because of the predominant absence of face to face transactions. Businesses and exchanges of digital currencies are mostly executed with either of the party (parties) having a personal contact. There is something about seeing and looking into someone's face and countenance while doing business with them. It tells a lot about someone's intention to some extent. Digital currency business lacks this.
5731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Facebook trying to profit from Cryptos ? on: September 14, 2019, 06:17:04 AM
For your kind information, the only coin I hold is Bitcoin, always mentioned AltCoins as ShitCoin and asked people to be careful of ShitCoins. So u may keep your Sherlock Holmes dreams in the shelf for the time being.
So, would you also consider ETH, LTC, BNB as shitcoins since they are also altcoins? I bet you won't easily find an answer to my question. If you consider their price crash as a reason for classifying them as shitcoins, then what will say of a coin that fell from an ATH of $19,000 plus to a mere $3,000? That's Bitcoin! It goes to tell that nothing is ever sure in life.
5732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF Trump via Executive Order Banned Bitcoin, what are consequences if any? on: September 14, 2019, 05:36:09 AM
"IF Trump via Executive Order Banned Bitcoin, what are consequences if any?"

The part I bolded is the one that matters to me and I think there won't be ANY. Already, his people (US citizens) are excluded from registering and participating in some crypto exchanges and sites. The worse than can happen with what Trump said will be what happened when China banned Bitcoin in 2017. It dimmed the price just a few days and continued uptrend as if nothing happened. Let the Trump(et) continue with his loud mouth, his threats mean nothing, really.
5733  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MB8 Coin - Team Doesn't Return Coins on: September 13, 2019, 03:45:49 PM
Ok, what plans do you have in future ? What is your telegram channel where you wil not delete me, and I can watch announcements?
Have you received back your coins? I still haven't heard from the team till now. This is really taking time.

What is your Telegram username I will have you unblocked.
I still haven't received any reply from you even after sending you a pm. Who should I talk to on this issue, please?
5734  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MB8 Coin - Team Doesn't Return Coins on: September 13, 2019, 04:12:37 AM
Wow! This is so sad. I just checked my wallet now and discovered the same thing happened to me. I did Facebook and Telegram bounties but now All my coins gone.

Edited: Kindly check your pm. I sent you more detailed evidence and will be willing to provide whatever you seek to prove my claim.
5735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoTribunal - a movement that will bring trust back into the crypto scene. on: September 12, 2019, 05:37:13 AM
This reminds me of Forex Peace Army for Forex Traders. Since its inception it has proved to be highly effective in sanctioning erring brokers and making sure traders get justice. But that is a regulated market, I mean forex trading. Crypto industry is not regulated and it kind of throws out that question of, "HOW?" How are you going to ensure that fraudulent teams and developers get punished since we sometimes hardly even know the identities of these developers.
5736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MB8 Coin: A REAL WORLD CRYPTOCURRENCY WITH 2100 BUSINESSES on: September 12, 2019, 04:54:53 AM
Yes, these guys are playing bad game Angry, they send me tokens to the cabinet, then withdraw on their wallet at the same day, support totally ingored and blocked! I have all screens and proofs!
I don't know what your argument is but I know the MB8 coin is genuine and it's already listed on two exchanges - Coinexchange and Whitebit. You can check that out on www.coinmarketcap.com. The OP may be fraudulent (I used that word subjectively here because I can't say for real), but the MB8 coin project is ongoing and listed. I hodl a few coins too.
5737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smile-to-pay - facial payment technology in China on: September 11, 2019, 09:05:46 PM
So, do you think this is a truly revolutionary payment option or is this just an extension of the Chinese surveillance goals? Now, you cannot deny that you made a payment or that you were involved in a payment, because every face is unique.
Are you sure about the sentence I bolded in your comment? Because for me the Chinese all look like identical twins. Again, the population of China gives her the strong advantage to consume whatever she produces and this population is in billions, not millions.
5738  Other / Meta / Re: Hey theymos, can i get your attention for a minute. on: September 11, 2019, 04:07:42 PM
I handed some of mine out 12 to be exact. 6 to one and 1/2 a dozen to another.
Looks like someone is earnestly looking for a way to make this important plea a caricature. OP's complaint is in order and shouldn't be overlooked.
5739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitfinex still be trusted? on: September 10, 2019, 08:02:53 PM
While Bitfinex got hacked in the past and they definitely did some really shady stuff with Tether(USDT), I think we should treat all exchanges almost the same- with the assumption that they will be hacked someday. With that said, I'd probably trust Coinbase Pro or Kraken significantly more compared to Bitfinex, as I doubt the Tether controversy wouldn't be their last shady move yet. The move they did with the IEO just to have funds to back the Tethers was just something else.
Honestly, I do think that once beaten twice shy is appropriate in this regard. I wouldn't trust any exchange that has once had a history of scam with my hard earned cash. And I do really think that people should keep off Bitfinex or any other manipulative exchange. After all, there are a couple of hundreds good exchanges to choose from on CMC.
5740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do whales got burnt in the market. on: September 10, 2019, 04:29:27 AM
Why not? Of course, whales do get their fingers burnt from time to time. No one knows it all and I am sure some whales might have sold to reenter the market cheap but didn't get that opportunity. Some may be bagholding certain altcoins that also have turned shitty and that is cash gone down the drains. This happens to the rest of us even when we buy small. No one truly can tell the future. We can only speculate and most times we don't get it right.
