5741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Airdrop do you think will perform the best in future and Why? on: April 02, 2020, 08:05:34 PM
I don't even know why the Bitcoin Cash is current rank 4 on the most highest market cap in cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin cash gained value due to the misunderstanding of what bitcoin cash was and what bitcoin is. Many new Investors thought both cryptocurrency were the same thing and sometimes mistakes sending funds meant for bitcoin blockchain (address) for bitcoin cash. Many untrustworthy service providers also used the opportunity to promote bitcoin cash as the main bitcoin so it gained alot of patronizers.

The project is just based on lies and untrustworthy operation. They claim to be independent yet they relied on the fame and reputation bitcoin has already built to sell their shitcoins. None is likely to succeed and non is worthy of any recommendations.
5742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Memory lane (best match you gambled on) on: April 02, 2020, 12:46:06 PM
As corona virus pandemic has halted what we have passion for let's all go down memory lane and recall those epic match that we gambled on and will never forget it win or lose

The 2012 champions league finals between Chelsea and Bayern Munich has to be the best game I have placed a bet on so far and not because it was the highest payout but it came with a feeling that I don't think I'll ever feel in a very long time. It was the first time Chelsea even won the champions league and that was just the second time we're getting to the finals.

The first attempt was against Manchester United which we lost. The game played out great, my team won, my bet entered.
5743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: April 02, 2020, 09:10:23 AM
First of all it will take lot of time for the people who are affected by Covid 19 financially and mentally so I don't think there will be lot of people going into casinos even when things get back into normal. And another one will be people are going to move to internet gambling culture a lot due to this lock down so most of the casinos might create their own casino sites as well in nea future to stay in the market.

Obviously that's just going to be what we'll witness in the coming months most especially if the viruse takes longer than expected to get eliminated. The viruse is exposing the importance of having online presence as not just online casinos but government bodies are thinking of utilizing the advantage online transaction offers like digital money that doesn't require physica contact.

In regards to engaging in gambling activities, just as I have previously mentioned, it won't be advisable to gamble right away most especially as the after effect of the viruse could still be dangerous.
5744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: April 02, 2020, 08:39:57 AM
it is Good that you can live without gambling and enjoyed the company of your family so start from there.find things that can make you happy without spending money.

Well said although what about individuals who find pleasure in spending like myself which is one of the reasons I find it had to quit gambling although I'm not a gamble addict as I plan my every move. I'm in control of the funds I allocate forq my gamble related actiy and don't over react when I'm in loss which might probably lead to making poor choices.

Responding to the question been asked on the OP which say "longest Break You Have On Not Gambled" I think this quarantine (lockdown) period as a result of the Corona viruse outbreak has been the longest, as over a month plus now I haven't place a bet officially on any sport games.

5748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (POLL) The most beautiful football jersey ever? on: March 29, 2020, 10:08:19 AM

We are all missing football and what could be nicer than remembering some of the nicest jerseys we have ever seen... Gotta love some of these really iconic jerseys! Smiley

Well, your list have some interesting and beautiful jersey but non listed above are my favorite therefore I didn't cast my vote via the poll. The lockdown is definitely having it's effect on me too, so you're not alone on this one, the boredom is just too much. Few days back I remember watching some previous played matches and it occurred to me I haven't noticed how stylish some of the footballers keep their hair and remember googling footballers with the cutie haircut and more related topics pop up which resulted to me spending about 30mins plus on the net.

Back on topic about beautiful jersey ever, I'll be nominating Nigeria national team world cup jersey 2018, it's one the beautiful jersey I have seen been used to play football and obviously the inspiration for the jersey was from the jersey the 1996 world cup squad wore which introduced Nigeria to the world as one of the strongest force from Africa.

5749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 29, 2020, 09:33:41 AM
Would that make a huge impact to your funds? I haven't tried it so far, but for me, I don't that is really effective as if we lose, we aren't really going to win right after, because there is still a possibility of losing once again.

It definitely does either positively (when you win) or negatively (when you lose). Leveraging on the strategy of doubling you're bet is quite profitable only when you're capable of winning the placed bet. In cases where you lose, you lose double of what you would had initially lost which might affect your gambling budget as a result tempting you to dig into other funds that was not intended for gambling just to try win back you lost fund and if care isn't taken, it'll cost you all available funds.

I won't advice you double your bet especially if you just lost your previous bet, you might think you're doing the right thing but that's just your emotions making you act foolishly since there's no guarantee you'll win the bet you just placed.
5750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not as risky as many think. on: March 28, 2020, 12:48:30 PM
One of the main points many Bitcoin naysayers are quick to bring up whenever you question them on why they are so anti bitcoin is that bitcoin is ‘volatile and risky’. The truth is that Bitcoin is no riskier than any other asset and it may even be safer.

At some point and in their earlier days as new assets, most of the well established assets you see today we're once like bitcoin (that's a speculative asset) since the future of the asset wasn't certain. Bitcoin has proven time without number that, it's a long term project and not some get rich quick scheme many uniformed Individuals mistake it for. When you invest in bitcoin with a short term mindset it becomes risky since its price volatility is quite high on a short term based.

Every investment is a risk since you're entrusting your funds and hope on a technology or idea that can fail at anytime. The biggest risk of them all is not to take the risk  in investing in that asset due to fear. Keeping you money in the bank is also a risk since you're not in charge of your money and inflation can disvalue the worth of your stored funds at anytime.
5751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think this is a good strategy ? on: March 28, 2020, 12:38:08 PM
Hi all  Smiley

Do you think this is a good strategy:

I buy bitcoin by putting a stop limit at the same purchase price to lose nothing

I don't subscription to that strategy, assuming you were trading on an exchange that doesn't charge trading/withdraw fees than you would had have some advantage that's if you decide to neglect the few bucks you get charged for miners and service fees (used for sending the fiat to the platform where you'll buy the bitcoin).

The best strategy is just to buy, wait and sell when you see profit, in cases where you selling will be at lost, you just switch to hodling your coins and wait for greeners day ahead.
5752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will a company grow if they acquire Private Investments? on: March 28, 2020, 12:28:42 PM
Can other companies get successful if they do the same thing as what AVA did? I guess it will depend on the team to see how they use the funds effectively.

It totally depends on how the community react towards the news. Acquiring other companies doesn't guarantee your companies been successful, sometimes these companies acquired are just strategy to eliminate any business competitor they would have had and not necessary as a means of expending their business operation.

I don't have any idea about the project you just highlighted above so can't say much in regards to them been successful or not but it seems they're not that visible (popular) in the crypto space so I would just assume they are not as successful as you're advertising them. Having said that, the success of a companies doesn't only depend on team although they play a very vital role especially when it comes to fund management and decision making.
5753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: March 28, 2020, 06:14:19 AM
Gambling affects us through positive and negative. I know there are so many gamblers that are really used in gambling on which they have already experience many things while gambling and for sure they have experienced good sides and bad sides of gambling.

For an activity, habit, hobby or anything to be declared negative to the human race, it's negative effects must have outshine the positive effect of that things since everything has a positive and negative side to it. When an activity like gambling which iis quite addictive and can't be put under control that easily is declared negative you just have to agree to that fact.

The positive effect aren't that much of a fixed effect but varies depending on the individuals gambling so it can't be said to be a benefit on a general reasoning. For the profit aspect as a positive effect of gambling, while not everyone profit from gambling per se but when it comes to losses, majority has experience this at some point as a gambler.
5754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: March 28, 2020, 06:03:40 AM
What will most gambling addicts do when they can no longer gamble at casinos, and what do you think they'll do when the casinos reopen in several months from now? Will most of them be finally cured of their gambling addiction, or will most of them return to their old ways?

The actual feedback or reaction from previous gamblers will have much to do with the economy of their respective nation as of when the outbreak is been declared defeated. If the economy is in recession resulting to lack of jobs and they have to provide for their wellbeing and that of their household (for those that have family) they'll have no other choice but to result to their old habits whucyis gambling for fund.

Irrespective of how cure you might think they're, as a result of them not gambling for as long as the lockdown stay,  the chances of them going back to gambling the moment they get the opportunity is quite huge since they'll need to get some cash for their basic needs.
5755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: March 28, 2020, 05:52:05 AM
Almost all the sports have been postponed. There is no matches left for betting on sports. What are gamblers(sports) doing exactly now? I know it is very boring days. Locked down in home, no matches to gamble. Are you switching to other casino?

In times like this that your eyes will open to others things worth doing instead of your regular routine everyday where you'll have get up, prepare yourself for work, get to work do the same thing almost everyday and go back home tried. Same fate was also associated with my gambling style where I only gamble on football related sports without trying other games worth betting on.

As a result of the lockdown, I have been trying to get familiar with other games like dice and poker and some card games. The positive side is that almost all online casinos have this games as a betting option which give the

5757  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: allow on-forum altcoin giveaways for established altcoins on: March 27, 2020, 05:01:11 AM
This is a bitcoin forum we say yet altcoins are the major reason the forum is still very active and been considered one of the most relevant forum when you speak about cryptocurrency. Sure Satoshi made the forum all about bitcoin but I'm positive (anywhere he's) would be happy with the way the forum has grown out of been just a bitcoin discussion forum to accommodating other discussion like altcoins, politics etc. For we to achieve global adoption, bitcoin would need help, it can't do it alone.

Just imagine as a enthusiast that spend must of his online time on the forum and we didn't have the privilege to discuss or get updates on the recent Corona virus outbreak on the forum just because it was strictly a bitcoin discussion forum 👎. Things have changed and it's quite time some of the forum rules get reviewed. Some months back, the forum support Grin as a new payment option in the forum (which was a welcome development from my angle), let's stop the whole hate on altcoins for some second and think about their positive contributions to the industry so far. Atleast we have altcoins that are worth to be given the tagged "established" which aren't scam related per se. Lets work with those, ethereum is a perfect example.
5758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties are boring and discouraging these days on: March 27, 2020, 04:39:42 AM
Bounties or campaigns, following the ones are managed by professional managers will help you mostly get paid.

Quite true although there's no guarantee unless the bounty allocation are been escrow in the hands of the bounty manager. That's to say the BM will be in charge of distribution of the token to the bounty of participants that's the only time you can be assured of recieving your payout. Still another issue is getting something worth the time you sent promoting the campaign once you get paid.

It's not always about getting paid but are the token going to make it in the market to give you some some cash when you decide to cashout or just going to be another worthless token in the market. Been a hunter in this period ois very unprofitable.

They should just end it. this forum should just end it.

This is an impossible task since in the first place, the forum doesn't moderate bounty campaigns, the simplest solution is to avoid promoting any bounty campaign until probably the market becomes favorable to them once more. Lets just assume what you asked for was possible, you don't expect it to come into effect since we have quite some decent bounty that have delivered in the past and future bounties that'll still be profitable for the users that'll be opportune to participate.
5759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I earn money during coronavirus? Is it possible by crypto coins? on: March 26, 2020, 10:27:17 PM
There is another that is quite effective and worth a try, namely staking, some large exchanges offer good opportunities.

Most of your write-up made sense to me until this part of the post that I qouted above. Although it's quite true you can earn some additional income by staking your coins in cryptocurrency exchange still I don't think it's a recommended way of earning as a cryptocurrency enthusiast. Assuming you're to stake the coins in wallet you have control over your coins then I would had bought into the idea but when you have to rely on a centralized exchange that can be easily hacked tiy safeguard your investment, that's just a no from my angle.

This exchanges can shutdown at any second and I'm quite sure most of them aren't registered under any government body or agency that'll require them to give account of their service when the need arises.
5760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Of Project Bounties Are Scams on: March 26, 2020, 10:13:33 PM
I hope the bounty manager can check each project before it is managed, and for cheat managers, stop cheating.

Some projects start with genuine intentions but the condition of the market make them lose their passion towards developing the ideas they had in mind when launching their project into reality. Some projects are also quite good in disguising themselves as legitimate projects just to get the approval of a professional manager and later scam the community therefore don't put all the work on managers.

As a bounty participants you should make the security of your fund and time as your number one priority and not to rely on others to do that for you. Carry-out personal research on selecting quality projects to promote and not associating yourself with any project you see out there especially those with "too good to be true" promises.
