5741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 12, 2019, 03:26:17 AM
I do not consider it as a dirty money but I do think gambling makes your mind kind of null and you don't get anything worthy from it. So better is to leave it, than arguing about it.

Although, I sometimes gamble for entertainment, if i win then good, I would withdraw the capital and play with winnings, which I would lose sooner. So, I only withdrew my own money and not 'gambling money'.

If I lose I had lost it at the moment i brought it to the casino, no attachment.

~

Thanks for your report, that was helpful.

I'll implement automated resubscriptions, but I don't know if it will fix such problems in the future, because it can be browser's/system's fault - if they decide to wipe cache for some reason, there's nothing I can do. Did you ever had problems like that on that device - you are suddenly logged out of some accounts, your settings on sites are gone, etc.?

If you'll encounter same problem again, go to the site and see if there's any subscriptions displayed - if not, it means your subscription has expired and you have to subscribe again, otherwise it might be a problem on my side.

Got it, i had cleared browser cache few days ago, that could be the reason.

Edit: cache on android is usually safe to delete so I don't give second thought.

Update: I cleared browser cache again and subscription is intact, so last time clearing cache was not the cause of the problem.

did you do something like deleting all cookies of your browser or manually unregister it? Maybe you installed some addon that can do this recently?

No.

Can you please go to the site and subscribe to your name again?

Sure, done.

Or if you are already subscribed to some other names, tell me to which.

No.

Also, what browser do you use?

Samsung Internet beta. But, might switch to vivaldi in next few days (if that matters).

5746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you know about Bitcoin before becoming a bitcoiner? on: September 10, 2019, 02:05:33 AM
I was on Indian forum back in the day and there were some people who used to talk about it.

So I searched about it on Google and asked some online friends. First, impression was Bitcoin is some illegal thing, just like many newbies in crypto world still think.

If they dig deep enough they will realize the truth.

Then there was a stellar airdrop, which made me dig deeper into BTC and cryptocurrencies, then I started sports betting through directbet as it was easier than fiat.

i collected some BTC through faucets as well, collected it on blockchain.info wallet and later started using Coinomi wallet (still using it). Faucets were giving 5-10k satoshi per claim at that time.

When I started today's top coins were dirt cheap, BTC like $150, ltc $4, dash $2 lol

I didn't had money at that time and wasn't sure about crypto market either.

Looking back, it has been a fun ride!

I guess they have had quite a lot of participants this month and checking everything takes time, hence payout have been delayed (for one day).
5748  Local / India / Re: Stop blaming bitcoin | Don't fall for Matrix or HYIP on: September 09, 2019, 04:06:59 AM
People don't blame cash when they get scammed in such schemes in real life, so if you get scammed in crypto world this way, it's not crypto's fault.
5749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 08, 2019, 03:43:40 AM
If he gambled for the sake of entertainment then i don't think he needs to calculate losses.

We all spend money on food, movies, video games — and usually we don't calculate it.

While, if he was into it for money then he should be calculating it, some gamblers manage sheets where they calculate their net profit and losses.

Depends on which kind of person your friend is.
5750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion on: September 08, 2019, 03:37:58 AM
Be cautious. Don't get in habit of gambling, you get nothing useful,  plus waste of time.

Wanna know best strategy? Just go all in on first bet, win or go home and move on with your life.
5751  Other / Meta / Re: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! on: September 07, 2019, 02:53:23 AM

Cool mate, it makes sense now. Guess, it would be better idea if you add that link to the op.
5752  Other / Meta / Re: Which corrupt moderator deleted our last 4 posts? calling you out in public NOW! on: September 07, 2019, 02:49:04 AM
Why do you keep creating new topics about post deletions? PM the (head) mods if you want to know and stop poluting server disk space.

Hmm. Around a week ago my thread got deleted in gambling section, i sent pm to moderator to know the reason.

He did not answer.

5753  Other / Meta / Re: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! on: September 07, 2019, 02:23:09 AM
I think it's much easier to use the Report to moderator button instead of copying the url (or finding it from the bookmark tab) and then paste it in your browser, then hit the reply button and write something and finally make a post about it. 🤪

When reporting, just mention the right reason.

It would be nice to know the links and i can write them to the list , so others can see the links also !
Another reason for know the links is that other users look into the list if they not sure the link is safe or not!
I report this kind of links and fake posts now for month and it dosnt help others if only you know the link is fake and have maybe Malware in it , for sure its good when you report it !
Thats why i share it , that others can see it and can take care of it .
Also it should give some view about this Malware and Fake Ann case !

Links do not make sense, in my opinion.

It would be beneficial if you rather post on how to recognize such scammy links.

You know the saying - give man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for lifetime.
5754  Other / Meta / Re: ANN threads shouldn't be self-moderated on: September 07, 2019, 02:17:51 AM
If any Ann contains only positive statements in comments, also those spammy comments, "nice project" then it should be red flag in itself.

Every thing has two sides, positive and negative.

I would leave it as it is.
5755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: September 06, 2019, 04:03:21 AM

I hope you are not expecting price pumps from these listings as gold token price will remain the same. But yeah, it will bring some awareness and liquidity.

In my opinion, team should not spend money on these exchanges since they charge hefty fees, their own instant exchange is good enough (also there are ethereum decentralized exchanges, where you can trade by using contract address).

I doubt usdt team went to exchanges for it's listing, exchanges themeselves felt the need to have stablecoin market and thus got listed, I hope the same for gold token.

I also want to know the whereabouts of their team, or just private

Gold token supply and physical gold in bullion star wallet both can be audited anytime user want. I do not think there is any need for team to show up their faces as what is necessary, is given to us.
5756  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting Posts - Max 2 Years After Posting? on: September 06, 2019, 03:50:30 AM
Indeed, one should only be judged based on the present. However, if the post had malicious intention then deletion of post and ban is completely justified.
5757  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Supreme Court disses RBI over crypto ban in India on: September 05, 2019, 03:55:49 AM
That's how it should work, like, unless they can regulate it, how can they think to decide to ban or unban anything lmao. And how can they regulate a decentralized currency Cheesy Bitcoin is out of their power and they know it and they may weep and make a river Tongue

It's not about regulating Bitcoin or other crypto, more about their conversions to fiat.
5758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 05, 2019, 03:33:58 AM
It's pseudonymous.

You are looking at half empty glass, many countries are going towards regulations rather than bans, however, there is small minority that wants to ban, I hope they realize cryptos are here to stay and make necessary improvement.

They will never regulate crypto. They can't even regulate or get people to pay tax so crypto is the last thing on the governments list.

What is your say on these countries where crypto is already regulated: US, Australia, Prague, New Zealand.

5759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil: First to have Births Exclusively Recorded by Blockchain on: September 04, 2019, 03:51:52 AM

" The registration was made through Growth Tech's Notary Ledgers platform " so I reckon they developed their own technology that use Blockchain tech to register these births. This is flawed, because it is administrated and controlled by a central organization and might not be 100% immutable.  Roll Eyes

Yep it is. Though, it is still better than the traditional methods.

Registration was done in less than 5 minutes (article says that, not me!) , completely online, more transparent, reducing bureaucracy,

Here is website, if anyone is interested Wink https://growthtech.com.br/notary-ledgers/
