5741  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: November 08, 2019, 03:35:21 PM
Then another bill will be passed saying all crypto users must submit their personal information including their book of accounts in crypto to keep track of you so that you may not escape the tax payments. The government won't just leave you alone knowing you are earning a lot of money in a certain business and not paying your tax.

In Brazil, they came up with some law which makes it mandatory to give the details of all the cryptocurrency transactions, including the Blockchain logs. Even some of the US-based cryptocurrency exchanges are also asking for the same. The real intention is not to prevent tax evasion, but to gather data about the cryptocurrency users. This will be useful for the government in case they want to ban the ownership of cryptocurrency at some point in the future.
5742  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: November 08, 2019, 03:16:32 PM
We need to stop this obsession with gold. IMO, gold and cryptocurrency are entirely different assets. Gold is not a threat or a competitor for Bitcoin (and vice-versa). I would go one step further and say that even fiat currency is not a competitor of Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is being used as an investment asset, the real competitors are other assets such as real estate, equities.etc.
5743  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Bring change into Africa? on: November 08, 2019, 02:26:45 PM
With very abundant natural resources i think Africa should be can be consider as one of the richest continent in the world but some of african countries cannot utilize existing natural resources and their citizen still poor until now and about how to utilize blockchain technology in africa i think it's hard to be implemented because at there still too many issue have to be resolved and some of the countries also don't have facilities to support this technology

People don't follow family planning in Africa and they have dozens of kids each. And the end result is that none of them gets proper education or skill training and in most cases they themselves will produce a dozen kids each. Bitcoin can help poor people all over the world. But Africans will remain as poor unless they give priority to education over child-bearing.
5744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: November 08, 2019, 02:13:26 PM
Match between Kerala Blasters FC and Odisha Football Club is underway, and this one is very crucial for both the teams. KBFC have lost two of their last three matches. They need to win this one to get to the top half of the table. Initial 10 minutes indicate dominance by the Kerala players, with Odisha not getting much of possession. But Kerala Blasters always have problems in converting possession and passes to actual goals.
5745  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 07, 2019, 06:13:09 PM
As long as the adoption increases, there is a chance that we may get a new ATH sometime in the near future. A few weeks ago, there was a media article which claimed that the number of cryptocurrency exchange users have doubled during the past 12 months. If we have such growth in the number of users, then sooner or later we will be having a corresponding increase in the exchange rates as well.
5746  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: November 07, 2019, 06:01:45 PM
I can see that the discussion got diverted from the original topic. The OP was asking how to encourage Bitcoin users to treat BTC as a currency, rather than as an investment asset. First of all, the transaction fee needs to be reduced to a sustainable level, if we want BTC to be used for payment purposes. With Paypal having a minimum fee of $0.30, do you think that a lot of people would be willing to pay $3 per transaction for using Bitcoin?
5747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: November 07, 2019, 05:42:18 PM
FC Goa is now leading the table after they won today's match in a comprehensive manner against the Mumbai City FC. Now both NEUFC and FCG have 8 points each (from 4 matches) followed by Jamshedpur with 7 points from 3. Jamshedpur is facing ATK on Saturday and if they win the match then they'll top the table. Last year's winners (BFC) are not doing good.  Angry
5748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 07, 2019, 05:36:15 PM
When Rohit Sharma gets going even the bigger score looks smaller and this is what has happened . This was a good comeback where India had now level the series and 3rd match it would be more exciting to watch out for .

I think what happened is that India took Bangladesh lightly during the first match, and it proved to be their undoing. But can't blame them as well. A Bangladesh squad without Tamim Iqbal and Shakib al Hassan was not supposed to give tough competition to the Indian side. The Indians were more cautious during the second match and made sure not to repeat the mistakes.
5749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 07, 2019, 05:15:19 PM
I think this was an easy win for India. Rohit Sharma looked Fantastic today and this great score by him signifies that he can handle the pressure of captaincy and bat well too. Indian just lost two wickets while chasing the target it almost looked like an altogether different team playing in today's match. Even the bowling side looked completely different from what they looked like in the previous Match. Chahal was much more successful in taking wickets. I think India have risen once again as top favorites in this series.

The Indians will be having a stable T20 squad before the next year's world cup. Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar have established themselves as the spinners, while Deepak Chahar has a golden opportunity to cement his spot. The only shaky position seems to be that of Rishabh Pant. He is facing tough competition from Sanju Samson.
5750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a new process to reject more user from getting tokens? on: November 07, 2019, 05:05:59 PM
I know more experience members are here than me who have information. Is TEMTUM project legit to everyone? I participated a campaign that name is "Temtum" managed "Hhampuz". I worked 1.5 months then waited for 2.5 months (78 days) for get my rewards. I knew that I have to submit my KYC but for KYC they gave me only 4 days and I missed it. Now I banned from telegram group for asking my rewards. Without any tokens!!😭😭😭

This is very strange. Just a few minutes back, I came across another thread discussing the same bounty project. In that case, the user had applied for KYC and sent all the relevant documents, but his application was rejected without any valid reason. This makes me quite suspicious about the project. I know that Hhampuz is one of the best bounty managers out here and he'll sort it out in a manner that is acceptable to all the sides.
5751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 07, 2019, 05:00:42 PM
The average lifespan of a cryptocurrency exchange is around 2 years. We have some exchanges such as Bitstamp (2011) and Coinbase (2012) which have survived for much longer than that, but they are an exception. Binance was founded in 2017, and it is just 2-3 years old. Although it is doing good now, there is no guarantee about its long-term survival. No one expected exchanges such as Cryptopia and BTC-e to close down all of a sudden, but that happened. It can happen with Binance as well.
5752  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: November 07, 2019, 04:54:05 PM
Today's scams are getting worse as more and more new investors try to invest in crypto. So someone should be able to stop it here but who?

We know that we have no ability to locate these scammers because the crypto currency is anonymous. So I think there is no hope for it to stop and all we can do now is be careful so that we do not fall victim to these scams.

In most of the cases, it is the new users who fall victim to these scams. Ideally people should thoroughly study a project before investing in it. But many of the noobs are either too lazy to do that, or trustworthy of the strangers. In both cases they learn the lesson only after losing their hard earned savings. There is a limit to what we can do, by creating awareness. The investors need to get educated about cryptocurrency first.
5753  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: November 07, 2019, 04:47:04 PM
More than anything else, in my opinion it is the ability to control our emotions that make us a good investor. Some of the investors develop an emotional attachment with the investment assets, and this results in not maintaining the stop loss and profit booking targets. And when that happens, there is always a chance of incurring a heavy loss.
5754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 07, 2019, 04:41:01 PM
Rohit is on fire. I thought to place a bet but didn't  Undecided Unlucky me.
It's an easy win now.

Rohit is gone... but not before making a well played 85 with a strike rate of around 200. The Bangladeshi bowling was in tatters, perhaps with the exception of the leg-break bowler Aminul Islam. The series is now tied 1-1, and whoever wins the 3rd T20 will win the series. But looking at the display put up by the Indian batsmen today, I don't have much hope for Bangladesh for the remainder of the series.
5755  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: November 07, 2019, 04:35:25 PM
IMO, the Bitcoin exchange rates may go down if there is a crash in the stock market. People will be left with less money and therefore Bitcoin purchases will go down. The existing users will be forced to sell their coins, in order to cover their expenses. Ordinary people are more likely to shift to less risky assets, such as treasury bonds and gold.
5756  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: November 07, 2019, 04:26:05 PM
KYC and BTC are diametrically opposed concepts. One advocates privacy and non-stalking, while the other aims to reach out publicly to their credentials. Yes, you can use BTC without KYC, but most bounties or similar charities will be abused because KYC is a requirement.

Can't put it any better than this. One of the reasons why Satoshi invented Bitcoin was to give an additional layer of privacy for the users. And with KYC becoming mandatory in the exchanges, user privacy has become a thing of the past. The good thing is that users are still finding loopholes to avoid KYC, such as using multiple exchanges and withdrawing/depositing amounts below the KYC threshold.
5757  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin using or need! Vs stable coins on: November 07, 2019, 04:20:03 PM
But again stable coins will be of no use without the existence of bitcoin and it's wrong to say bitcoin inferior to stablecoins as there would had been no stablecoin without bitcoin. The only purpose off stable coin is to covert the other cryptos and store when the market down or for traders to covert cryptos during volatile situations to avoid risking.

Stablecoins came to existence when the Chinese government banned fiat currencies from crypto-exchanges. Stablecoins presented a loophole to convert cryptocurrencies to fiat value. But even now these stablecoins are seldom used outside the exchanges. Very few people hold stablecoins such as Tether and USDC in their wallets (and it makes no sense to hold these coins).
5758  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: November 07, 2019, 04:09:14 PM
Well, even if how many attempts they are going to do to shut down bitcoin it will never be shut down because they don't have an access on it and bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and even if it's banned in the US but still it's growing and no one can shut it down. Through using VPN it will change IP address and you can still be using Bitcoin but you can sell into fiat money which is asking personal data. Indeed, even the government did not have a power to shut down Bitcoin.

If I am not wrong, the article says that some of the government officials investigated the possibility of destroying Bitcoin back in 2011-12 (probably due to its use in Wikileaks funding). But the informant specifically says that apart from these investigations, none of the agencies ever took any real steps in that direction. Perhaps they thought that it will be counterproductive, giving more publicity for Bitcoin.
5759  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-05] Independent: "Bitcoin’s record price surge of 2017 was caused..." on: November 07, 2019, 04:03:52 PM
I heard similar rumors about the 2013 bull run as well (when the exchange rates went up from $5 to $1261). But back then it was more believable. The accusation was that Mt Gox rigged the exchange rates and this caused the Bitcoin prices to rally. Back then there were only a few exchanges operating, so there is a chance for that happening. But how can this be possible in 2017, when there were hundreds (if not thousands) of exchanges. Is it possible to manipulate all these exchanges, which are spread out all over the globe?

Do not under estimate Pakistan because rain has started again for our rescue  Smiley
I wish the rain does not stop now so that we cannot lose the first T20 or even it it stop, the target becomes more stiffer for Australia.

The second innings need to last for a minimum of 5 overs to give a result (from Duckworth-Lewis). If it is less than 5 overs, then the match will end as inconclusive. As of now Australia are 41/0 after 3.1 overs (i.e 11 balls short of the threshold). Also, the time is running out. Play needs to be resumed in about 30 minutes from now. If it is not possible, then this match will end up as no result.
