People just be careful of this 2 activity newbie post saying to buy cann.

Im living near holland where cannabis is legal for decades and i never saw a price under 5€ at coffeeshops

How would it be possible with taxes and profit margin to sell cannabis for even 1$ per gramm?

I would be really interested to hear the answer.
Good luck and dont get burned Smiley

the dev has huge plants of cann and for marketing its not so bad, cann will be in every news around the world, because 0.06 cent for 1 gramm is really cheap  Smiley
its nearly for free  Grin

to sell the cann profitable it must rise from 10.000 satoshi to around 2.400.000 satoshi (what would be around 10 dollar for 1 cann)

I will definitly keep watching this ^^

will probably not even get to 390...

you spoke too soon

i didn't expect someone to leverage short 750 coins right now...lol

but it's fine...we'll be up anyway

Does leveraged short mean the exchanges are lending them money??

they lend bitcoins to short Smiley

5767  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be another crypto boom similar to BTC in my lifetime? on: October 12, 2014, 09:39:53 PM
Hey gang, broke student here.

I heard about BTC back in 2012 after doing acid (it enlightened me) but considering my family is poor and I was going to college I had no money to invest, I was in the red. I came back to the ecosystem sometime around late-2013 after some family trouble and made a bit of pocket change day-trading DOGE (1500$)...essentially nothing compared to you big shots.

Every day I wake up and want to kill myself, considering I do not have a time machine. All I want is to live with the comfort knowing I have 100k-1m$ in my bank account....the thing that kills me is knowing I could have had that comfy security but not in this timeline, maybe a parallel timeline where I did LSD earlier. I know there will most likely not be another moment in our lives where you can invest in a stock for 1$ and it goes to 1000$, and I can't take much more of working at this dead-end fast food job.

Does anyone have any info on how often this happens, and how I could get to know about such a thing early on? Is there a secret IRC or forum where people discuss this?

I don't want to an hero, however making 1500$ a month from fast food and spending 1000$ on rent and living expenses whilst only taking away 500$ is a FUCKING JOKE. At this point I might even move to Alaska and die of a bee sting like that McCandless guy did.

It just sucks that an entire life is wasted for being a few years late, you know?

take it as a lesson.

btw. the lesson i talk about is:

dont spend your money on acid/lsd   Cheesy
5768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ATOMIC: in SuperNET CORE - single blockchain for trading all coins&assets on: October 12, 2014, 06:12:18 PM
Hi visual,
thanks for your questions and let me try to answer them:

Quote
so ATOMIC is advertising the prices of coins across all exchanges within a block chain?

maybe this - atomic is advertising the transactions between coins across all exchanges within a blockchain? i'm not sure i understand why someone would want to participate in this? what is the incentive?

visualized it would look like this

I think the best way to describe Atomic would be a decentralized exchange based on the bitcoin technology.
Basically it is a decentralized exchange run by everyone who wants to participate (as a miner) in the Atomic network.
Imagine bittrex or cryptsy without the need of a website - pure and straight cross-blockchain trading of coins/assets, that is Atomic.
You can see mining in the Atomic network as a process of exchanging coins/assets between different ledgers.

Quote
mining is not traditional mining (PoW), but more like a PoS system? the more tokens you have, the more likely you are to earn rewards for that block?
more so PoS. much like when you open a wallet (like BTCD) and receive XX amount of BTCD relative to the size of your stake. Not sure what the incentive is to collect tokens though? to collect more tokens? which are profitable how?

The mining process is based on two new protocols:
1. Proof of Exchange
2. Proof of Gateway

Proof of Exchange is the protocol that trades coins between different ledgers - it makes use of bitcoin transaction scripts and the coinbase header.
Proof of Gateway is to make Atomic as efficient as possible - it is an algorithm to rank and reward the miner(s) of the Atomic network based on how reliable, fast etc they are.
For example holding Atoms for more then 30 days will be rewarded with a slight ranking boost (least important).
Atoms will be needed to use the Atomic network aka cross-blockchain trading of coins/assets.

Quote
what is the difference between Atomic Asset and "Atom" (token)
atomic asset holders will receive dividends for transactions (in BTC?) while atom holders will receive atoms as a forging reward

There are two kinds of fee's:
1. Transaction fee's on the Atomic ledger payed with Atoms
2. Non-Atom fee's payed in the respected currency/asset which the user wants to trade.

I.e. User A wants to trade BTC -> BTCD. User A will have to pay x Atoms (1) + x Bitcoins (2) to a special adress.

The Atom fee's will be payed to the miners, the non-Atom fee's will be payed to the Atomic asset holders.

Quote
oh, so in order for a transaction to be put onto the atomic block chain, users will have to pay Atoms (tokens). then miners will be able to mine these tokens in a system similar to PoS. all they have to do is have a full node

why would someone want to pay tokens for their transaction to go onto the Atomic chain?

because they would be able to exchange one currency/asset directly into a different one without the
need of centralized points of failure exchanges Smiley

right now what i understand is that the process will be fully decentralized and trustless - this is a total new level which we didn't saw yet.

if you didnt read the documentation yet, it already has alot of information and will be updated along with the working process:

I hope i could help you and make some points a bit clearer, if not just ask  Wink

imho it can take till march
5770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 12, 2014, 05:12:29 PM
...
I'Ve been saying this for days but everyone ignores it because they think people will just keep buying while they dump on them.
...

Worked well thus far.  Why wait to make $1k in a year, when you can make $50 every week?

Most traders lose money and destroy Bitcoin in the process.
Traders are Bitcoin's cancer.

Sure.  Got to have losers to have winners.
That said, today's winners are bigger, tougher and smarter than me.  So for me, trading now is more like gambling.  Minus hookers and blow.
I'm sure I'm not the only one accepting the fact that profiting from Bitcoin stopped being a sure thing.   Like me, these people are cashing out & moving on to greener pastures.
...contributing to BTC's declining price.

Thats the sentiment we need to crash upwards Wink

I really dont understand the hate for the new forum.

This here is a bitcoin forum if you guys forgot.

Altcoins are only guests here.
Aslong as we still get important announcement here, moving to a new forum is a wise and important decision.

@amsterdamer

Great cards btw. I would suggest make it public at twitter and co Wink

The internet connects people and data without the barrier of space and time.

Do you guys really discuss if the internet is advantageous?  Shocked Roll Eyes

Btw the internet of the future will be decentralized and based on quantum teleportation - crypto is here to stay

Hi everyone, i am criptix from germany and from today on i will be working as the community manager for Atomic. I will support the development team by handling matters regarding the forum, social media and marketing for the english and german speaking area!

I started to get interested in crypto early this year and begun to mine different coins while learning alot about cryptography,
economics and daytrading.
I am sure crypto is here to stay and just needs some fine-tuning until it will reach mainstream.
I believe bitcoin created a new road by being decentralized and open source - now 5 years later we have hundreds of new coins and
assets build on different decentralized public ledgers.
The main problem i see is that the majority of trades between cryptocurrency/assets depends on centralized exchanges.
A new way was MGW being distributed.
And now we have Atomic which has the vision of closing the gap completely by enabling a decentralized exchange between different cryptocurrencys/assets.

I am sure we can build a strong community around Atomic which will in the end support the whole Cryptoverse.
Good times ahead friends Smiley

Greetings
criptix
