5761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Give bitcoins as a gift to someone that haven't got bitcoin wallet on: May 07, 2016, 03:34:42 PM
physical coins is not a good idea because they are mostly expensive and more of a collectible thing.

you can create a nice paper wallet, with a neat design on your own. just print out the bitcoin logo with the private key and public key of the bitcoin address with the coins in it and give it a cool background then print it.
5762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What "facts" you heard about Bitcoin is not true? on: May 07, 2016, 03:31:42 PM
There  are many things that I have heard about bitcoin which can never be true in future is that it will become a global currency and it will replace dollar and banking system in future.

although i agree with you that bitcoin replacing fiat and the banking system is a little far fetched, i have to say this is not a fact about bitcoin it is just a speculation about the future which makes it just guess work not a fact in any sense.
5763  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2016, 03:27:48 PM
A lot of people still have trust in the Gold. Also gold is there for so many decades. But i think Bitcoin will win in the future.
lots of people still have trust in the Gold because gold deserve to be trust and to be collect.. bitcoin is similar to gold because of its price and quality. but bitcoin is better because it is a decentralized currency and more accessible.
Well, I also feel like it. I think that the current bitcoin is still better compared to gold, because the price of bitcoin which tend to rise and fall, so very many people who take advantage of it to be used as additional income, and gold can not be like that
Gold is more a store of wealth by the majority of its holders.

Bitcoin is also a great store of wealth, but traditional investors find Bitcoin too volatile and thus keep their money in Gold.
bitcoin is fluctuative and it's not worth for saving any of your cents if you're not going to expect a rise/falling price, gold is better for saving, the price always grow up
Yes, if someone wants long term investment which will last for dozen of years then they will prefer to invest in gold and not in bitcoin as gold is valuable from hundreds of years and is a reliable asset from centuries while bitcoin is new one and also people once faced a deep drop to $250 after reaching to $1200.

yeah, the stability makes gold a better and safer choice to put your money in but this also means that you can only gain a much smaller amount of profit from this investment. and also we are living in a modern day and age and blockchain and bitcoin technology seems more futuristic than gold.
5764  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: May 07, 2016, 03:22:58 PM
Trying to multiply is the only hope. I would try to make the numbers get increased by the method of trading, gambling and lending. I would also try implementing a business in which bitcoin is accepted.

Yeah I like your plan to diversify your coins, only thing make me worry is there is a chance of loosing bitcoin in gambling for multiplying it quick.

in any kind of investment it is better to diversify your portfolio to reduce the risk but all those different methods of investment should be safe on their own too, or you will just increase your amount lost.
5765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best bitcoin online wallet ? = except blockchain.info on: May 07, 2016, 03:16:00 PM
goto: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and then choose the web tab to see the rest of the web wallets. i think greenaddress is a good online wallet too but i have never them. and if you are ok with how coinbase or xapo are handling things you can try them too.

I chose bittrex. in bittrex also serves as an exchange. I think for now the best online wallet is blockchain and bittrex.

i have only one thing to say to you: remember cryptsy
5766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, why do we need to use Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2016, 03:12:21 PM
So, why do we need to use Bitcoin???

why not?
it is the best thing to use, it can be used as both a currency and as an investment and while i would like it to be only a currency with fixed value i also like the fact that it is a good investment that i can make more money with.
also there are a lot more benefits in using bitcoin that have already been mentioned here so i am not getting into them like anonymity, cheap fees,...
5767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gambling is Exploding on: May 06, 2016, 03:04:22 PM
Exactly, that is what driving the growth of bitcoin gambling sites and in effect bitcoin too. Unfortunately, gambling bad effects to man may also grow. Easy access to gambling sites may increase the negative effect of gambling to people because they can easily be addicted to it. But, of course, it would be beneficial to most bitcoin users. I just hope the good effects out weight the bad ones over time.

Well gambling with fiat is not that hard as well, so I think it won't increase the level of addiction that much, but I understand what you are saying and you have a point. But I think people will always find a way to gamble if they want so I don't feel bad for the bitcoin exponential grow, and I hope it continues.

Bitcoin exponential growth will still continues if bitcoin gambling will become more popular and I think gambling in fiat is still pretty addicting too just like in bitcoin gambling, because real casinos are the starters of gambling addiction so bitcoin gambling just got it to a next level by involving other people who can't afford to go to real casino games!

when it comes to "online" gambling then nothing can take the place of bitcoin. gambling with fiat is just too messy, and so it is much easier to just pick bitcoin instead as a replacement.
mostly because of the small fees that it has especially if you are investing a large amount (it is not percentage base like other payments with fiat)

Your betting strategy is to play Heads every time?

[I M G]http://i63.tinypic.com/rm1ba1.jpg[/img]

Even if you provide a log of +100 wins in a row, that wouldn't be a large enough sample size to prove a guaranteed-to-win betting strategy. Also, if you did find a guaranteed win strat, I'm pretty sure that would mean that there's a bug with Rollin.io 's system and they would probably take back your winnings.

dude, this is an obvious way of advertising, and i am 99% sure that OP has gotten paid some dust to do this for their website, i have never even heard about this particular head and tail gambling site.

and if you actually look at the screenshot he provided after people asked him to, he provided some random pic with both heads and tails bets!!!
5769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is no life in Gambling can you accept this....?? on: May 06, 2016, 02:56:06 PM
HI every one i loss everything in this gambling. Now i am empty hand and now i am realize there is no life in Gambling. Like this any body thinking please share here.

i am sorry to hear about your loss, but i don't mean to be a dick but that is your own fault. this mindset that people have around here about gambling that they usually call it as an investment and in fact they suggest it to others who are seeking ways of earning money, this mindset is wrong and everybody will find that out one way or another.
5770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: May 06, 2016, 02:52:04 PM
none of them are satoshi because none of them could ever provide any proof of being satoshi, and actually i think Hal Finney has better chance of being satoshi than anybody else has.
also i think satoshi is a group of programmers and not just one person.
5771  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2016, 02:48:11 PM
It would be perfect if it is possible to be rich with Bitcoin because it takes a lot of time to wait for a higher value and people are also taking some risks with it.
Of course you never know what is going to happen from before what will happen with the future and that is the problem.

Till bitcoin exists I will use it I don't know what will be the price of bitcoin in future and whether it will survive or not so no plan to get rich with it.

You must believe that bitcoin could live forever or at least survived for some decades, so you have a plan to get rich with bitcoin.

that is two totally different mind sets here. i think he is trying to say that no matter what the bitcoin price is, i will continue using it as like a currency. and i think that is the correct way of dealing with bitcoin, it is meant to be a currency afterall.
5772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Real Satoshi and Bitcoin Price on: May 06, 2016, 02:41:43 PM
I wonder how would price of Bitcoin be affected if real Satoshi nakamoto comes out in public and prove beyond any doubt that he is real Satoshi.Would bitcoin price fall or would it rise very high?

i real satoshi comes out these days somehow, i think it won't affect the price that much but if satoshi decides to move the coins associated with him somehow then i would expect a fall. but i doubt if it can be that big like only $50-$70 fall no more because the market is so much bigger than before.
5773  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now we know Satoshi is not going to be forced out of hiding on: May 06, 2016, 02:35:59 PM
satoshi doesn't need to sign anything and say anything because first of all satoshi doesn't want to come out for whatever reason and also this CW scandal was going to become clear sooner or later.
and about the block size debate, i have to say that he is not the centralization of bitcoin so his opinion would just be another opinion as others. we need consensus not someone giving out rules .
5774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can i learn to use the market to make a profit on: May 06, 2016, 02:30:59 PM
Good luck trading cryptocurrency of any type.  If you find the logic that's behind any altcoin or even bitcoin itself, let me know.  Until then it's less risky playing the lottery.

i am sorry that you are feeling that way, but there is actually a lot of logic behind everything that is happening inside the bitcoin or altcoins market.
you just have to find that logic that controls them in different times, even hype and pump and dumps are happening with some kind of logic.
5775  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: May 06, 2016, 02:24:49 PM
The moment you invest in bitcoin that is considered a sure profit and bitcoin price will go up because bitcoin has a bright and good future ahead.
bitcoin provide tangible benefits not just nonsense. but to get the benefits that you have to be patient as the holder. That's a key advantage and profit in bitcoin

If you don't have patience then you are surely wasting your time here and you are at wrong place too, if you invest in bitcoin, then you need to wait long to earn higher profits.
Investing in Bitcoins will be not that bad because the most important thing is that you have to sell it on the right moment and that is the most moment of Bitcoin.
And you need also patience for it if you are waiting for a price increase.

Yes people are investing their money into bitcoin now, as halving has taken the expectation of people to a higher level which will gift them good  profits.
I hope halving does not become something like bubble for bitcoin which has more bad effects for bitcoin.

yeah, i totally agree with this, although a bubble is an awesome way for us (the investors) to make quick money and a big profit on our investment but i think in the long run it is hurting the bitcoin's popularity and may lead to people not feeling safe to invest their money because of volatility.
5776  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: May 06, 2016, 02:18:59 PM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.

it depends on the amount that i would need in that situation.
i always have a some kind of backup money tucked away somewhere (in bank, under a mattress) but if i need more than that i would start selling some stuff, like my investments (liquidating(?) assets!) but mostly i would try to use my knowledge and expertise to earn that money and if it is urgent i can borrow it always.
5777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to End Government and Change the World on: May 06, 2016, 02:15:28 PM
this looks great in theory and when you talk about it from the perspective of somebody who already knows bitcoin and loves it but when i look at what really is happening this (bitcoin replacing the current banking system) seems like a very far goal with a lot of big obstacles in from of itself.
5778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: May 06, 2016, 02:09:17 PM
It seems that experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

well now world are ruled by banks and their money, so if most of world would use bitcoin, people wouldn't need banks they they would disappear and i don't think that they would like bitcoins

but for that lots of people have to use bitcoin, while now just up to 3% of humans use it and that's not enough at all, we need like 75% of humans to use it, then it would be good and banks would disappear

Yeah banks is rulesd and it is spread all over the world and bank have strong fundation by government thats why bitcoin can never make bank dissappear because not all people using bitcoin and many people doubting for using it because of its lack of adoption to business world and price of it is unstable.

i agree that banks are not going to be replaced this easily and bitcoin will probably never replace banks but it is not because of their power or even the government backing them up (may be it is ) but all of that would be only a small part of the reason.
the biggest reason would be because they are useful and people will always need banks for holding their money and giving them loans and ....
5779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Put some Respeck On Craig Whites name on: May 06, 2016, 02:05:24 PM
i think you should read more about what identity theft is and what are the legal consequences of doing such a thing. also let us not forget about the 54 million dollars tax problem with the IRS or whatever the acronyms are for their tax thingy Cheesy
5780  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lottery Game in Bitcointalk Forum on: May 06, 2016, 01:53:12 PM
i used to like lottery in general but i don't like them anymore because i have never had any single chance so far. and also i regret to inform you that lottery games despite being popular in the real world are not so popular around here and the gamblers. especially those who run on the forum without a website, and those with website don't get that much attention either.

and that is mostly because it would be hard for us to verify the winner, and also there is always small chance of winning.
