Thanks for the miner and files!

Question for you - is there a monitoring tool that will work for this and Alexis78 and the others?

Thanks again!
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Post Your Current Run Times! Who has the longest?? on: June 01, 2017, 01:11:59 AM
that's cool! i didn't even know claymore had it's own manager! lol

does it work for other miners? would be cool if that worked on ccminerAlexis78
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX1080ti's: Better Options? on: May 31, 2017, 04:06:56 PM
Ok now it is clear. Its the sol/s with 2 cards.

Yes the miner sol/s may nit 100% same as NH website actual. It varies.

What are your temps on your GPU, this is the first time i have seen my water temps above 40c on my gaming rig, lastnight i left it on to mine the entire time i slept and its currently mining and my temps on my rig have stabled out at 41c with the house a/c set at 25c.

Also have you found any better mining routes for the GTX1080ti? like is their better coin to mine from your experience?

If you are earning $16 on Lyra2REv2 go with that - MY Skein numbers for yesterday was $14 for 2 1080TI's so you're earning $60 more a month on Lyra2 than Skein.

You can disable it from switching by going into settings then just uncheck the algo's you don't want it to run; in your case everything except Lyra2

Hey bud, could you throw me some info on how to mine for Skein, i would like to look into it and see how my actual setup deals with it.. after mining with nicehash for 12+ hours now with it set on the auto change settings, my 12+ hr profitability according to them has leveled out at $14.03/day, my profit levels dip to about half rate at random times i noticed throughout 12hrs of mining..

Also im curious if Skein could be added to the Nicehash program, in the setup instructions it mentions if the Recommended (Stable) list is unable to mine any coins, the miner will default to any custom list or custom list are able to be created for customized mining. If this is true, maybe the Skein can just be added to the rotation to be mined when profitable.. have to read more into this.

You made more  than me mining on Skein then. My last 24hr avg is at $12.46 for 2 1080Ti's @ 900MH/S

I see. .  so run one 6+2 to each of the 3 cards? Simply plug one in at a time, edit them (is there a guide you recommend on how to do this? sorry this is my first diy rig build), rinse and repeat x3

I ordered one of these 1080 mini per your rec

1080 Tis are BEASTS - it is 1 6+2 AND 1 6pcie PER card.

Phil - are you using any kind of network monitor?

Currently I just track by seeing if they are connected to Teamviewer and the ones on zpool just see if they are working on zpool wondering if you're using anything fancier.

Teamviewer gives me a popup now EVERY time i connect to any of my computers saying I've been flagged for commercial use! I have it installed on 20 computers, and it is non commercial use Smiley but man it's annoying I need a better solution.

smos for the amd cards.  I have 5 nvidia rigs and they are in my garage.  I am retired and have been suffering from really bad allergies this season so I am around the rigs and just look at the mining

or http://zpool.ca/?address=16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

but I need to do a linux and get a monitor setup as I may do a large expansion with buysolar

maybe 1 megawatt solar farm

What.... the ...f^%$... 1 megawatt solar farm... how many acres of land do you have! that is amazingly awesome I hope you do it! Give me a nice hosting rate/fee please Smiley

With radeon cards, it's simple, because there is not that much choice, just let it mine ETH it's always to more profitable on the long run for more than a year now.

For ETH what do you suggest as far as software and pool or no pool?
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: May 30, 2017, 07:56:07 PM
https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc

give you some idea of today's rate estimated earning

Not an estimate - my numbers from yesterday computed for monthly is

$217/mo on Skein

If you're already getting 700 Sol/s and it's already set up you might as well just leave it there because as techno8k just posted it's at

$223/mo so 1 is not astronomically better than the other ATM
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: nvidia volta on: May 30, 2017, 06:07:05 PM
So if it's = to 20 cards, is anyone using Teslas to mine? I'd trade all my 1080 Ti's for a 3 or 4 of these any day looking at the numbers- they look great on paper but would it work?

Would be great addition to any RATing tool. Pretty much why I don't open ANY kind of file that isnt' txt. I guess i'm foooooked when they find out how to RAT you via txt lol
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can i plug another GPU on my PSU? on: May 29, 2017, 09:42:43 PM
Well, it was totally not recommended but i don't have another PSU and i like to gamble so now i'am powering 6x 480 and dual mining with that 1000W PSU, 1095-1105W on the plug.

i'm waiting for the psu to explode but it seems fine for now, running for about 36hours.

my psu is rated  82% efficiency 1180W (1000W), i have 80w left but i don't want to push it too much..  Shocked Cool

hopefully it will not destroy my other hardware..

That's not what 82% efficiency means - good luck, I really hope you don't burn your house down. But if you do, well, you're kind of asking begging for it.

hey no you are wrong,

i have found on the internet that for a 80% rated PSU, When PC is drawing all the power it can from the PSU, it will receive 1000W and a Kill-A-Watt would measure 1200W at the wall.
mine is 85(50%load) to 82%(100% load)  so it's 1180

i have bought a 3$ fire alarm of ebay  anyway:D

and yes Cashen i'm on 240 already.

1200W PSU are 200€+ while this one is 105€..

6x 480 4gb, h81 pro btc, ssd.

Hey look bro - I'm just trying to be nice, burn the house down and injure everyone in the house, ignore all the advice.

Have a nice day.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where to find info on how many gpu rigs a standard home can support on: May 29, 2017, 06:55:57 PM
Isn't there any correlation between max load capacity and line wire thickness ?

10A = 16 gauge
15A = 14
20A = 12
30A = 10
40A = 8
55A = 6

Dang holiday, contacted so many people this weekend even friend that's a general contractor can't get back to me. hahaha. impatience is killing me Smiley

I'm also curious as to what mods to electric you have made as well as where did you get that shelving unit - it's nice and looks EXTREMELY sturdy!
\

The power electrical modifications are mentioned above. The shelf is just a cheap shelving unit from home depot.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Square-D-QO-20-Amp-Single-Pole-Circuit-Breaker-QO120CP/100028706

Something like this is what you added? Did you add the breaker to your box directly?

As long as your wires are the correct guage to handle the new breaker you can add it, but don't just go popping in a higher rated breaker on a lower rated wire or you're going to have a fire Mister305. OP said he's an EE I'm sure he did it all correct.

I'm definitely going to follow this heat is an issue for me too but I'm only running 1 rig in my garage until an electrician comes out and I find out if I can run a sub or if I can upgrade to a 200A panel.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Garage Mining Temps on: May 29, 2017, 06:34:22 PM
Thanks for the info! Did you add the breakers yourself?

As for heat w/100 ambient you're kind of in a hard place - I would say swamp cooler but humidity and rigs don't mix well - A/C expensive but might be last resort needed.

@Vyper    Yes. smOS has a built in monitor that sends keep alive packets to the SRR so when they stop the SRR reboots the rig

smOS wouldn't work for me, I'm running all nVidia ATM - I do have 10 RX 470's I yanked that are just in a drawer now but I don't see them being used because I just keep filling empty outlets with more nVidia's as they become available.

Created a little tutorial on how to setup a mining system with Microsoft Azure:
https://steemit.com/digibyte/@paaax/use-microsoft-azure-to-mine-cpu-based-cryptocurrency-algorithms-i-e-digibyte

how much are you making mining on azure vs the cost of the instance (i know it's using the free credit)?
