581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: March 24, 2020, 04:33:56 PM
I have lost a bigger amount but it is on trading but I consider trading as gambling too both are very risky. I have my regrets that time but I have nothing to do about it, thinking about it will not help you. Using the funds that supposed to be for your family is not good don't do it again. Just move on have a good sleep coronavirus attacks those who have weak resistance so better have a good sleep and forget everything that happens you can earn the money but your health is more important especially in this crisis.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Corona coins taking over on: March 24, 2020, 04:12:07 PM
Any tokens created that involves coronavirus does not make sense, It is very easy to create a token either on ethereum or other platforms except Binance chain that requires 500 BNB just to issue a token. If you found another one just ignore it or report it. If these tokens are on ethereum network you can report them here: https://etherscan.io/contactus and select Report a phishing/scam address to be tag by etherscan.
583  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Fake Bitcoin QR Code Generators on: March 24, 2020, 03:36:43 PM
Everyone should not use any online QR generators our wallets have that feature there is no need to search on google for these QR code generators. Also, blockchain block explorer will automatically generate QR code for our addresses. I can't think of why someone is looking for 3rd party QR code generators.
If you really want to use a 3rd party website scan it first and verify if its really your address before sending it to someone.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: March 24, 2020, 02:35:21 PM
I don't think it will happen unless covid19 will still exist or intensify but as I see we are recovering now, china is recovering and started to help the countries which are affected by this virus. Also, the market is recovering from the dip last time hitting more or less $3800 and we are now at $6700, obviously better than the stock market. It is always good to buy bitcoin whether in crisis or not if your thinking for the long term.
585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW LOW BTC CAN GO? on: March 24, 2020, 01:13:59 PM
That's a hard question no one really knows but we can speculate having TA and predictions, I don't think BTC will go deeper than $3800 I hope so, Having seen this market recently it is very volatile and it is very risky to jump on trading especially on contract/leverage/margins/futures whatever it is called across different exchanges, we might be liquidated in minutes if we are not careful. If markets now really depend on this covid19 we are at risk what if the situation will worsen you know what will happens next.
586  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ledger Live fake Chrome extensions on: March 24, 2020, 12:45:45 PM
Another reason to move away from Google, especially Chrome and start to use Firefox or any other browser. Firefox + AdBlock will completely protect you from such attempts, and with a little common sense from everything else.
I agree that Firefox is better choice than Chrome, but I'm not sure that it would protect from such scam attempts.
I'm away from PC now, so I can't check, but I think that these ads on Google search results are still shown even with adblock.
Though, Firefox addon store is better than Chrome, because before uploading addon, it have to be verified by Firefox. We rarely can hear about dangerous addons on Firefox.
Ad blockers like adblock or adblock plus do not really block google ads, I have tested it before but some recommended me uBlock Origin is much better it will completely block it just like Lucius said. I guess if chrome removes ad blockers on extension they will lose a lot of users. If that happens I plan to shift on brave browser I heard they have built it blockers but I didn't test it on PC yet.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old crypto ways fades away easily on: March 24, 2020, 12:06:35 PM
It is normal that investors are wise now in the previous Bullrun we have learn our lessons. Those ICO's days are gone and will never come back, it has been damaged by scam/fraud projects. Now if I heard about ICO it does not interest me at all unless a well-known company is launching it or has some legit big partners but it is very rare to happen right now.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 24, 2020, 11:37:09 AM
Yes, we are gambling every day in our lives without realizing it. Every decision in your life is like a bet. Doing some physical games and you bet on it, it is another form of gambling or just playing with your family at home. But those types of gambling games that are more fun, especially with your family and put some bet to make it more thriller. We usually play card games with my cousins and of course, it has some bets for fun.

Not just playing games with your family, but if we make a decision for some option, that would be gambling too because we never know what the result is later. When I play card games with my cousins, we don't use money, but we use chalk to draw in his face. That's funny, and that will not make addicted. But yes, gamble without using money sometimes is not interesting because there is no passion behind the games. But that is what we did if we don't want to lose the money.
You are right I just realize every step you take is like a bet or gambling but they have different things at stake either money, reputation, or your future, etc. So it is very important to think about every decision we make when it concerns our lives and family. Yeah, money really affects your motivation for the game. I also consider investing in crypto is gambling too, I heard some sold their houses/property just to buy bitcoin.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play gambling that require skills and techniques. on: March 24, 2020, 09:35:26 AM
Those gambling games that you mentioned are really based on luck, not skills but I believe some gambling games require analyzing skills like in sports gambling you need to analyze the team or player that is playing to increase the chances of winning but it is not guaranteed but it is better than nothing right? That's is the only thing I can think of, Maybe on card games too, it requires some quick and wise thinking but it also depends on the cards so its a combination of skill and luck.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How About Bitcointalk raise Money in BTC to Donate on fight against Coronavirus on: March 24, 2020, 08:59:07 AM
It was a good idea but I don't think theymos will organize something like this maybe one of the forum member can do it and that is willing to expose his/her identity and risk itself of the threat of covid. As of now, I don't know the identity of theymos and bitcointalk is decentralized. Of course, organizing it needs physical appearance to communicate with the government so they can distribute it to the community or some existing charities. Normal people should stay at home in this crisis and let the officials/frontliners do their work.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 23, 2020, 11:54:14 PM
Yeah, in fact, I have seen someone is planning to create some charity for this covid the thought is good, it is really good to help but for now let us leave it to the government and some companies. But what if they are just gathering funds for themselves so if you want to donate directly donate in your officials in your community or existing charities for this pandemic to make sure your donation is in good use.
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone made money by investing in crowdfunded startups? on: March 23, 2020, 11:32:09 PM
I guess it is a decent project, but don't regret your decision is much safer not to jump on new projects right now, only few good ones will bring you profit this time unlike in the year 2017. If this is the project you are talking to, https://twitter.com/RevolutApp they have quite raised a decent amount of $500M and they are Valued at $5.5 Billion now.

593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency during this pandemic on: March 23, 2020, 11:05:44 PM
Cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies offer the community and opportunity to earn more than usual and digital currencies are more convenient than physical money and it is more safe to use online payments now because of this covid19 pandemic we need to avoid getting contact with each other. But there is no rush Bullrun will not happen in 24 hours it takes time and patience. By just using a cryptocurrency it is a way of supporting it. Remember Bitcoin has 21m supply and fiat is not determine they print when they want to what do you think is more valuable?

595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we scale Blockchain? on: March 23, 2020, 10:19:49 PM
Blockchain has been achieving a new milestone, it is evolving and the community is starting to adopt it. In some countries, it is not only used as a mode of payment or a form of money, but it is also used in a form of voting in an election, Amazing right? I don't know what new use cases for blockchain tech will come in the future but I am sure there is and we need to support it if we want blockchain tech to be more popular.
596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think this is a good strategy ? on: March 23, 2020, 10:00:47 PM
Yes, it is effective and safe if the market is going up, but what if going down? putting a stop limit at the same price as your entry will just end quickly, market is very volatile right now. You will still lose a small amount of trading fees. What market are you planning to dive in? Spot or Margin/leverage trading? I don't recommend leverage trading for starters.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: High rewards still possible in bounties? on: March 23, 2020, 09:43:48 PM
There is always a possibility but with the current market condition I don't think so, Not now, maybe in the future when bitcoin reaches new ATH and we are on Bullrun again and only positive news is happening in cryptocurrency. For now, it is very impossible and because of this covid19 it worsens the condition of the market.
598  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: Website Scam on: March 23, 2020, 04:05:49 PM
I guess it better to post a screenshot of the website than putting the link here some people might click it and it is not safe. If they can get all of our personal information we can consider this a phishing too. If you found similar websites kindly report it here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: March 23, 2020, 03:39:09 PM
I prefer cryptocurrency with much lesser fees when sending a transaction and fast confirmations like ETH, TRX, XLM and similar cryptocurrency as long as the gambling platform supports those currencies I will use it. For the time being BTC blockchain is not that fast enough unless you modify the transaction fees and pay more fees than usual.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: March 23, 2020, 02:51:23 PM
With the current market, it is volatile before but it is much worst now. We have leverage trading now and margin for sure there are so many traders that loss and there are also traders that gain profits, Now you are talking about these trading services and analysts. Maybe there are trying to gain funds to have a bigger margin on trading or to make up for their losses so be careful not to fall in this kind of scam. Trading tutorials can be found online for free and you can learn from it but make sure you know what you are doing before trying it on the exchange.
