581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 11, 2019, 03:43:07 AM
I think most of the people want to get huge success in very quick time that is the only thing lotteries is famous in in everyone's mind set so it cannot be changed by everyone if you got the luck and timing then lottery is very favourable for you that's why I think people always choosing this kind of thing.

that's one that is expected by everyone because to be able to get the jackpot on the lottery purely based on luck, many of them are willing to buy lots of tickets to get a greater chance of winning the expected jackpot.
besides, lottery is an easy game that anyone can do because no special skills are needed at all

How does it feel when you buy a lot of lottery tickets and still you do not win. The money invested in all those lottery tickets is just wasted. That's the reason I hate the lottery system because the chances of winning are too less or rather  you can say it is impossible to win.
Not all the lottery tickets are useless and not all of them are baseless actually this is luck based I know some of them are scammers who only cheat people and sell blank. So we should only remain careful while investing in lottery so there will be earning instead of lose and then you will again trust lottery investment.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: August 09, 2019, 11:25:23 PM
You have pointed already all the concerns why people or we as well hates having this KYC thing in gambling actually not only in gambling but in the whole crypto world

But my biggest concern is the first thing you have mentioned and that is anonymity ,some says that we hate KyC because we are hiding something that so e don’t wanna reveal ourselves but for me instead not about hiding but it’s about security since most sites now are abusing their power and uses our personal details for something that will benefits what they need for those that’s why I am against this

Exactly, even licensed casinos now are doubtful. So the KYC they are required to carry now tends to be doubtful as well.
I will never get back from sharing my KYC because I know it is for my safety sometimes New gamblers get afraid when casino ask for KYC but they should be wise t know that KYC is for our safety if we will provide so in case of scanning or hacking we will take help from it. Now a day almost every casino will require KYC to gamble.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 09, 2019, 10:58:03 PM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.

So, you've been into bitcoins for at least 3 years and this is the first time you've talked about this? Anyway, yes it does suck but if it happened that you still have some left, keep it and wait for a coming ath, sell at that cost AND then hold till prices get low again. Rinse, repeat.
Indeed this is not the first time we are in crypto and are investing I know some people lose money at beginning but with time they use to learn we actually lose because of being greedy and wanting quick profit. Making mistake is not big deal but we should learn from it as much as we can. Patience and keep learning is best tool to win in crypto.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 09, 2019, 10:31:29 PM
Kamling will not leave you to sleep happily because it will makes you to be more interested and also involved in it but I think ok it will depends upon the mindset of a gambler if they are getting so much controlled. While he is is in constant mind set then there is no problem in that but some people will not be like that that is the problem for them
It is an addiction you mean...meanly people get addicted because they win at first and trying to win again which is a very common reason why they should come back in gambling. Do we think that they could control such feelings? I think not, cause they are totally controlled by their mind and it could just stop once they open up their minds again.

Not many gamblers can open their minds to think about stopping from gambling because once they feel the win money, they want to get the win over and over. While they feel happy with their win, they come back in gambling and hope this time they will win another winning, but the truth is they will lose their money. They cannot control their feelings, especially if they can win more than 5 times because, at that time, greediness will come to them and telling them to play more to win the money.
All the rules you have mentioned are good and follow worthy I am really happy that I am one kf those who never run after fun but try to get income with multi sources. I never keep my eyes closed while gambling but I make sure I am in full my senses and gamble with fully concentration because the other person is also playing to win.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the best gambling games originally from Asia? on: August 09, 2019, 10:03:22 PM
What are the best gambling games originally from Asia?

I think the most popular gambling in Asia is the mahjong. It's almost like a dice game with some strategy in it. There is also cockfight but I don't know if it originates in Asia or maybe in Western countries.

It is popular in the past but the most popular right now, as far as I know, is cockfighting that even ages ranging from 10 and above already knows the rules and how to bet in this game. These young ones even take care of their own roosters they will use to fight with other people, that is how addicted people in our country is in this game.
Yeah this is famous game my own brother had two roosters he use to take care of them and make them good tightest fighters so that he will spend them for investing money on cockfight he won many times and with this he is planning to become one of the most famous cockfighters some gamble on dog fights and insects fight as well.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 09, 2019, 09:32:41 PM
With e-sports growing each day, like old ones Dota, Lol, CS and the new ones like Fortnite, PUBG etc, and competitions become more professional and more money are into, do you think soon we will be gambling with e-sports together with traditional ones?

I think it's only a matter of time, soon we will be betting on e-sports
I think that gambling and esports go hand and hand.
Throw in Blockchain technology to help with the gambling aspect and youve got a working method to wager on esports

I'm in full agreement with you on this, the only issue I can see is that these esports kids are usually really young and I can see them throwing matches for cash. I actually am pretty sure I have read how it's a big issue and so is match fixing. I guess if gambling cash flows in it could force it to legitimize.
This is young and new yet but still has much chances to win. The problem comes when the team get sell and the match become fix then it make difference but it does not mean for not spending your money in such E sports betting there are allot of games in it also on trends as well. Gambling has profit so both are good at same time.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 08, 2019, 10:06:32 PM
I guess this complement this thread; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5172095.0
Personally I wouldn't have thought lottery can be better than slot or casino gambling. Well, this also implies that nothing is impossible.
Using mathematical means to crack the likely number is good but the process may take quite sometime. If one is always certain about the numbers then the long wait is worth it.
As he mentioned that he won 12 times it means he must bought allot of tickets and all of h must cost small amount. I once bought a ticket and I won but unfortunately after that I never get a chance to buy but still not late i will try to buy this time if ever got a chance. Yet I am investing in crypto wish me to be lucky same as the person buddy.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 08, 2019, 09:32:42 PM
Here in my country, lotteries are run by the government and proceeds are used in various projects and most specialy helping those who are in need like for hospitalization. So if I did not win, at least the money will be spent in helping people.

I remember my aunt's cousin defending himself about this addiction.

He is also putting his money into the lottery, buying tickets and depending on the numbers he is putting for almost 3 years. When we asked about his addiction, he never admits to it but this is his answer when we asked him why he's still betting. I also think that he wants to earn a million out of that small digit, I mean, yeah, who would not want that but the thing is that in the long run, that small digit if saved is a great help.
It is not bad at all to wait if you have chances to win with it I really appreciate the decision of you uncle or aunty it is profitable and it is reality that investing in tickets for lottery is like winning huge amount with small investment. So be confident one day you will see your uncle winning million of amount which will make him rich.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 08, 2019, 08:48:45 PM
I don't think I can, I am very fond of dogs we have two dogs in our house and we consider them a part of our family, they are one of the kindest animals in our planet, it's illegal here in our country and I guess it's also illegal in many countries too.

I can bet on insects and human combats, on human competition like Boxing and MMA they are under strict supervision, they have physician, referees to make sure no one gets badly hurt, and they understand what they are getting into, on a dog fight it's about killing each other, I don't go for that.
Same as you I like dogs and I use to keep some dogs at home but as I know my dogs are now strong enough to win so I will not hesitate to spend them fight. I also like insects fight but people bet small amount for insects fight i would love to invest on dogs fight and you also should train your dogs for it.
590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 07, 2019, 07:45:05 PM
This how people think.

If you say 1/10 individuals has a probability to have an HIV then then will say they impossibly be the one but if you say there are 292 million odds of winning a powel ball, they will say they have the chance.

Who else doesnt want betting a dollar and winning millions of it after?
With each lose these are chances of making profit so the same way with each profit some chances of lose as well. But if we will pay our money only at lucky things I am sure it will increase my earning. I like to put money in two things one is crypto betting and the other one is purchasing lottery tickets as both are good and safe.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 07, 2019, 01:39:39 PM
And it's almost impossible for someone to win major lotteries once, what are the possibilities of winning multiple times?
Nope. Imagine this, if you have won already a jackpot then make a bet on all combinations to it, then surely you'll hit the jackpot again, but in terms of lottery with random draw then it would be impossible, even if it happens twice on the same person then that would just be luck.
P.S. Not all lottery games has the same system, features and rules. So every strategy varies on every game.

If one would call betting in lottery is a form of investment, he needs some reality check ...

Yeah right. Besides playing lottery is just like turning your money into an airplane and throw it while expecting, it will return back to the owner.
This is the reason why most people feel happy to check their luck in lottery as much as I know lottery is about luck to win and same as the person said no one  can take your luck and what you deserve will surely come to you. I am happy that I have  some lottery tickets in my saving and now praying to be lucky.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 07, 2019, 12:01:24 PM
Jofra Archer to replace Anderson it seems. Hope he proves useful for England.
Anderson and Broad are playing just test cricket and yet Anderson cannot keep up with his health before the Ashes which is really a sad thing and he is the only bowler for England who could swing the ball at a decent pace which could make a difference against Australia. Jofra Archer has the potential, lets see if his body will hold up for the longer format of the game.

Sad news: Dale Steyn retires from Test cricket. He had been among the best ever bowlers I've seen. He's still young and not that old to retire :-(
This week all the fast bowlers are announcing their retirement from test cricket, first Mohammad Amir made the announcement which was followed by Wahab Riaz and now Dale Steyn who was one of the best fast bowlers in the modern era.
All of them are good players as well I know in team of Pakistan there is allot of talent if they are taking retirement it’s their own decision and I am sure it will bring tough time for cricket T20 for their team so I would like to say that it is yet not good time share the news like this let them play and hope for the best T20 series.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is better Government run Lottery or private run Lottery on: August 07, 2019, 11:15:34 AM
With the introduction of blockchain, a lottery run by smart contract is much more better than done by humans with manual drawings.
Government involvement in lottery may bring some credibility for the results but for most of the countries I know, government does not operate such scheme. And where it does, the bureaucracy has a bad track record that makes the lottery itself questionable.
I believe there are a lot of old people who likes to buy lottery tickets, and I think they would usually watch the numbers being reveal manually on live television broadcast. So it might be extremely difficult to explain to these group of people about provably fair system in a lottery draw by using the blockchain technology.
Well to spread awareness about lottery and the usage I think in society there should be some proper system. If governments will give transparency in lottery policy I am sure people will prefer using government system to adopt any policy the only thing is that maybe government will fix some tax in this regard.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I don’t share Strategies anymore? on: August 07, 2019, 10:24:49 AM
I think people will learn from the strategies, whether he uses his own strategy or by using the other strategy. He will learn about that even he uses good strategies, he cannot expect to win because he will need one more thing to win, which is the luck factor. And if somehow he wins the game, he should realize that his strategy is work plus he has good luck in the games, but the luck will not stay beside him in the next day or in the next round.
Not only luck won't stay on him all the time but even strategies too. I have experienced a lot of times wherein one strategy that works for you today might not work for the other day. This is the reason why i never keep on sharing my own strategies to others because there is no assurance that it will also work with other people too.
Yeah it is reality that may be some strategies are good for you but it us not applicable for both people so better everyone should find their own way for gambling but one help can be done this way like if you will share your point of view so people can get some ideas to find good strategies it will help all-out of New gamblers as well
595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best solution to handle gambling addition, in a country. on: August 07, 2019, 09:32:58 AM
Considering the gambling addiction ratio in a country is increasing rapidly, what are the best possible solutions the citizens or government of that nation can implement to deal with the problem. Before you jump right into suggesting, the government should ban/tag gambling related activities as illegal in the country, you should understand that running away from a problem don't actually solve that problem. Beside proposing a ban on gambling only encourages the citizens of that nation to gamble illegally.

Don't ban them for christs sake. Make money out of them. They're probably used to throwing away large amounts of money anyways. Tax them higher. As professor hulk says, its a win win situation. Casinos would now have to increase fees and gamblers would have to also adjust. You can't really control people's wants and needs to gamble, so make it a little difficult and inconvenient for them with high fees. Plus you add considerable amount to your government's funds.
Yes for sure all gamer will have to follow their rules and will have to work accordingly. If the casino will pay high tax so they will take high fees and charges but the gamblers will have to obey and keep paying all fees. Patience is the only way to get proper gambling time at any place better don’t mess with casino rules.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 07, 2019, 08:24:48 AM
Non of these important pointers you listed will be experience by a gambler if he remains realistic.
It's imperative that every gambler has to understand the real chance of winning, which is not 50/50 in any game that is played based on luck or games that has a house edge.

Scammers are smart, they tend to victimize weak gamblers, so don't belong to the weak group of gamblers, instead be a smart gambler by continuing to educate yourself regarding the real score of risk and rewards in a certain game.
You are right all gamblers will have to play with full of their capacity and they should give their best no matter that what the game is. A gambler should keep in mind about both winning and losing but never get stressed or lose hope with single crypto gambling  there is 50 percent role of luck in gambling the remaining will be all your hard work.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you buy lottery online in bitcoin payment? on: August 04, 2019, 10:10:12 PM
For now, I think it is not better to buy lottery online with bitcoin because the bitcoin price is moving to a higher rate. Besides that, you can waste your bitcoin for something that needs the luck to win the money. It is better to hold your bitcoin for a while to see how much bitcoin price will increase so you can make a profit in fiat. But that will be up to you because only you that will know what is best for yourself and I hope you can think what the advantage and the disadvantage for yourself is. And don't regret if somehow you cannot win the lottery because that game will need the luck to win.

Lottery tickets are so cheap that this little money spent won't impact your investment portfolio. What does it matter if you spend $5 on a ticket or gamble it away? If bitcoin jumps by 100% to the previous ATH you will only earn $5 on this investment.

Gambling big is risky but lotteries are popular because they are cheap and offer high reward with low probability of success. I would buy a ticket because why not?

No doubt lotteries are cheap but how many times you have or your friends have won the lottery ?
Its like giving 5$ to someone and getting nothing in return.  I would rather prefer to play dice than to risk on lottery.
It could be good for some people to buy lottery but only for those who are lucky by birth according ti me it is really bad to put your saving on risk of luck. I also buy some lottery but not on the  risk of looking my future saving it is increasing and there is no reason for me to change my investment from bitcoin to lottery .
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling affect your overall lifestyle? on: August 04, 2019, 09:45:58 PM
So far i've been playing for more than a year and i haven't been fallen to that kind of situation just like you OP. I am just playing gambling because i want to entertain myself and i like to socialize a little since my kind of work is kind of stressful. I always set my bankroll specifically gambling only whether i win or lose as long as i am contented with the company.

Sometimes it's hard to control once you felt that you aren't satisfied with what the result due to the unlucky days but i just take a deep breath and i call it a day.
Calling it a day thing would really be hard to be followed by most gamblers yet they would continue to chase up loses.Reactions or actions will depend on how you do look towards gambling.

If you do play for the sake of making money then actions like this would be definitely followed but when you do play for sake of entertainment then you wont really end up on having this situation.

Yeah right, most of us gamble because of money, actually they are not chasing defeat but rather chasing their money. And that doesn't happen when they lose, but when they win they still pursue it because they will still chase the money even if they win.

There may only be 1: 100 people who play gambling for entertainment and the rest are only for the pursuit of money. Sure enough, when a gamble for entertainment they will enjoy it more when gambling, because their minds will not be mixed emotions and tensions.
Gambling is good way to earn and to make our life. So those who says gambling is just fun for them are not lucky. It is good to enjoy while you are gambling but considering gambling as fun is not good thinking at all. I am thankful to gambling as it changed my life and has given me good life style that’s why I never stop to gamble.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best solution to handle gambling addition, in a country. on: August 04, 2019, 09:24:56 PM
Increasing the tax rates for the rewards we are making from gambling can make the people to stay away from it at some extent because most of the gamblers are doing to for money so when they need to give half the rewards to the government in the form of tax if there is a win but when we lose its completely on our head.

I think this will have no effect.  People will still play in gambling casinos.  Remember it is an easy money if they win, so they won't mind paying high taxes for it.  I believe it is best for the government to tightly monitor the gambling activity in their country.  The government must implement a daily allowable amount of money to gamble in a casino, and punish both the operator and the player if they don't follow this rule.  The allowable amount to gamble is dependent on the certain percentage of monthly earning of the player.  This way, they will at least limit a players overspending in gambling activities.
But it is impossible to implement in the reality.Government cannot monitor each and every people who are going to casino and how much they were spending for it.My suggestion hold some weigh because when the gambler win they need to give most to the government but if they lose they will lose everything so this can make the people to realize why they need to hold such amount of risk.
Yeah it is not possible for government to examine all the gamblers they only can supervise an area or a city but now a day almost everyone is gambling and day by day gambling is gaining popularity. Gambling is self chosen say of earning there are millions of casinos so it is hard to prevent someone to gamble and I don't consider gambling addiction that bad
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I don’t share Strategies anymore? on: August 04, 2019, 09:01:45 PM
I experienced too. When we use strategy, we need to modify the strategy in every time we play so we can have more chance to win, although it is not guaranteed to win.

I think he could still share strategy to people and don't care if the strategy will work for them or not because at least, he can teach people to make their own strategy. It will help people to understand how to make a strategy in one game. And if that people can win from his strategy, that will a big help to him as there is no same strategy that will always work in gambling.
Must we even depend on strategies made by others to win, why modify someone else’s strategy when you can think of inventing yours. This is logical and what gambling is all about, I create every damn strategy I use in my games, there are some that fails definitely but its only telling me to improve and I don’t feel hurt when that happens.

The OP is entitled to his opinion, lets him keep his strategy to himself that’s he’s damn business, it only concerns those who have interest in it for me, I am not interested. After all at the end of the day, there would always be a winner and that winner is the house , so what’s the point killing ourselves over an issue that doesn’t hold a drop of water when there are better things to be discussed.
That is true ignore those who don’t want to share there strategies but it is good share with other people it helps to bring positivity in market so we should not get back from telling other about our strategies and taking their opinions as well. Some people remain reserved so they find share but not all people are like this.
