581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How come Nvidia Titian is not on the whattomine list? on: January 19, 2018, 10:24:28 AM
How come the Titian is never mentioned? Is it a bad card?
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which is the best 1080ti to buy? Im seeing all kinds and prices changing before on: January 19, 2018, 04:25:38 AM
This is my favorite 1080 Ti. It's all I've been ordering lately. EVGA had some in stock within the past hour, but was limit 1 per customer:
https://www.evga.com/articles/01123/evga-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-ftw3-hybrid/

I doubt there's a 1080 Ti that yields higher hash rates and runs cooler and quieter at stock/default settings.

And the good deals on eBay have been PCs w/ GPU(s). Last one I bought brings the cost down to half of retail after parting out the rest of the build. Example, I bought this one for $1500 by best offer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/i7-4790K-32GB-GTX1080ti-Gaming-Editing-PC/183004832100?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Yet this GPU alone has been selling for $1.5k to $1k at bottom on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_nkw=1080+ti+ftw3+hybrid&_sop=16

So one could say that GPU came with a free computer!

so if I want one I have to keep checking the websites, like 50 times a day to see if the pop up for sale come up?  Well, looks like I will keep on clicking

No dude ... Pick the retailers you want to buy from ... Go to their sites and sign up for email notifications on the products you want to buy.  You'll get an email when they are in stock.  If you are fast enough, you'll actually be able to buy some.  I've bought 6 1070ti's and 6 1080ti's over the past few weeks and that was the only way I was able to do it.  You have to be fast though.  You need to do it as soon as they email you.  On those two orders that I'm talking about, they were out of stock within 45 minutes of the email coming in.
with my luck they will email me while im alseep and ill miss the boat
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I just found out my mining programs have been extoring me on: January 19, 2018, 04:19:39 AM
Yes, for me it's a natural thing that software developers take a percentage of our hashes (DevFee). That's also a very small percentage. Without Dev software, who will connect to the miner's equipment and the pool equipment or the coin algorithm to be mined? Think of it as a sign of gratitude to them.

what is it 1% every hour of 24 hours is  24%a  day  thats basically like getting taxed by the government...\

24% of myt hashes and electricty the righteous DEV has been STEALING from me

not to mention we have to pay taxes 35%  now on your gains, in America at least.

so now 50 cents out of every dollar is being taken from me, this is barbaric
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: is the vega more future proof then the 180ti series video cards for mining? on: January 19, 2018, 04:15:55 AM
I would even get a regular (not-Ti) 1080 over Vega. Maybe even 1070Ti. Yes, as you have noticed, it's only cryptonight (and ethash) where Vegas are faster. But there are not that many highly profitable coins on these algos. I would really prefer the flexibility of 1080/1080Ti.

yeah not only that some of the exchanges the coins are will rob me once I try to sell. Once I see hitbtc Im yeah right like I would send them money. Where you can sell them is also important because if you cant withdraw on the dont answer emails...frustration

The best place to buy a Nvidia 1080ti is from Nvidia themselves.  They post them for sale randomly and they sell out very very quickly.  Just be patient and check from time to time.  $699 with warranty.  Can't go wrong.

I mean very very quickly.  1070ti's sell out in minutes.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-store/

Just be patient - everybody is trying to get them.

some of these prices are crazy for the price of just the card that people are selling them for  you could get pcs with 1080 tis in them.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: which is the best 1080ti to buy? Im seeing all kinds and prices changing before on: January 19, 2018, 03:31:42 AM
Price and availability now are more important than the design of particular cards. I would just rule out reference design cards since they are much hotter than those with aftermarket cooling systems. Of course if you go with more expensive models, like Asus Strix, Gigabyte Aorus or watercooled cards you'll get lower temperatures and slightly higher clocks.

new egg just made me enter my credit card information and sign up only to tell me they dont have it anymore... they are playing games.
I dont like that kind of business.

I guess in this market your really cant pick and choose, its what ever is out there, still dont want to over pay, but if im going pay I rather pay and pay for the best while im at it

588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / which is the best 1080ti to buy? Im seeing all kinds and prices changing before on: January 19, 2018, 02:44:46 AM
my eyes....

after long and hard research and conversations with people I have come to the conclusion, based on the stats, that the1080ti is the card im going to get. Now I see that there are so many of them, which one is the correct one to buy? I know there are difference because there price changes for each model, I see some with 2 fans, 3 fans, rear blowers...
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I just found out my mining programs have been extoring me on: January 19, 2018, 02:34:58 AM
I notice dips and stuff in my hash rates, so I asked on reddit and they said the drips are from who ever made the miner program put some code inside that is stealing % of my hash rates! I thought he was lying but I asked around and its true!

Where are the mining programs that wont steal my hash power?

Most miners are "free" software... the people who write them get paid via a percentage of your hash power. Usually a very small & fair amount... IMHO.

they should just set a price and make us buy instead of taking  a little here and a little there that ends up being a huge chuck when you factor everything in

I guess there are no none extortion programs out?

591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / is the vega more future proof then the 180ti series video cards for mining? on: January 19, 2018, 01:27:45 AM
Once again I run the numbers from whattomine and once again the 1080ti seems to beat the vegas in  everything but cryptonight. So, im only a month into the cryptogame, but I have a question for people who have been in for a while.

which one is more future proof?

Since privacy coins are the big thing, is cryptonight going to be the better algo as we move forward? The real price of a vega is not $900 for a used one, and $1300 for  a new one. The real price of a 1080ti was like $700, you can find them for $1000.... which is a huge difference from the vegas.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / It's cheap to buy a whole new pc then it is to buy 1 video card on: January 18, 2018, 08:38:04 PM
When will we be able to buy video cards again? I'm not over paying in rather buy another pc.

Are there any new video cards coming out? It's 2018.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ANYONE USING NORMAL FAN FOR COOLING??? on: January 18, 2018, 08:19:00 PM
Why don't miners look for water cooled video cards? Shouldn't they be better?
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking to get a 1070 what's the best make and model? on: January 18, 2018, 07:28:20 PM
The various 1070 versions typically refer to form factor, # of fans, and stock overclock settings, the 1070 chip is always the same from Nvidia

The one thing to look for and take into consideration is the # of power plugs it requires to run (1 8-pin or 2)...at least I had this issue on my 6x GPU rigs

So I should get the one with 1 8pin or 2??? Which one is better I still don't know

Whats better fan cool or blower cooled for mining? Does 1 offer less performance then the other?
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Help dual fans vs blower coolers for video card which one better for mining on: January 18, 2018, 06:54:32 PM
I don't want to buy the wrong model what's the best kind of gpu fan system to get? The regular dual fans and one that pushes the head out the back called fe blower coolers or something like that.

Which ones are the best please I don't want to but the wrong one
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking to get a 1070 what's the best make and model? on: January 18, 2018, 06:42:28 PM
I see all different kind like 1070 armor or 1070 aero which one is the best to get? I don't want to get the wrong one

For now they will go in 1 pc case with another 1070
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Experiences with CoinsMarkets.com? on: January 18, 2018, 03:04:17 PM
Im a hot month into crypto and I feel like the only 2 places I can trade and not get robbed is binance and kucoin

I repeat I only feel safe there. I feel like I could send $10,000 to the exchange and trade without worry or fear of getting robbed

Even now as I look at the at mining and I see only hitbit or some other exchanges that accept certain coins and it's not even worth mining some fucking coins if the only exchanges to sell on, are going to rob you.

They all start out nice and then they pull shady shit and it's never the same again. I was following the cryptopia/PAC scandal and saw who everyone who invested got ripped off because they couldn't sell

Same shit with Coinbase when Bitcoin crash y halt trading to prevent people from buying in cheap and prevent people from selling
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTZ] LitecoinZ - The true Litecoin 2.0 on: January 18, 2018, 10:01:11 AM
Wow, after Bitcoin Z, now we have LitecoinZ which has the same Equihash algorithm. It's really a new game for miners. Gamble at it. Thanks dev.

Well, equihash is used by many coins because it's the best ASIC killer Wink
It's good, but it is truly better for NVIDIAs than AMDs. Unfortunately, I have AMD-rigs. Anyway, I will mine the coin for sure.

Yeah you know I found a couple of Vegas 56s and 64s and I just couldn't buy it when I had the numbers in front of me at whattomine

Yes the Vega series is the best at cryptonight but that's about it. When you look at all the other algos even a 1070 holds with own. When you consider the price today i just couldn't do it....
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / im about to buy a vega 64, there are so many, which one is the best on: January 18, 2018, 12:30:53 AM
I really dont want to regret 2 months down the line I should have got this brand over that brand because of the chip inside or I should have got the water cool ones or what ever. so if someone knows what card to get that has the best options please help me out
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QBIC [QBIC] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance on: January 17, 2018, 07:31:44 PM
It seems Nicehash rapes mineproject.ru so you'd be wise to switch there otherwise you won't get anything. You're either stuck with 700+ diff or don't get any reward because the low diff block are found by somebody else

How can somone tell if something like nicehash is doing something to a pool?
