Stratis is such a good buy right now. I'm not a HODLer, more of a short term trader, but STRAT is pretty much guaranteed to go up this weekend. It's at bitcoinsuperconference and is one of the keynotes. McAfee is there as well. Also Gluon, the first ICO on the platform is ramping up for their token sale soon.
Combine that with the fact that STRAT has been sideways for about a week now, it's gearing up for a great weekend.

Made some decent money chasing 5-10% pumps on coins that haven't recovered at all in the last couple days. I.e. NANO jumps 20%, I sell that off and find a coin that is still at 0% for 24H or has tracked perfectly even with BTC in the assumption that it's satoshi value should get a decent pump soon. So far I've rode NANO, AMB, ENG, and NAV for some easy gains, looking for the next ones.
These are SHORT TERM plays. All these coins have a ton of long-term potential obviously, but I'm only looking to sit in these 2-3 days max. My current picks are:
XLM: Hasn't gotten jack since the somewhat recovery. Huge meetup in Kuala Lampur on the 9th. Expecting this to get more than 10-20% in the next couple days.
OMG: Never really crashed, Satoshi value stayed near even and has just steadily climbed. Been middle of the pack for awhile and seemingly grabbing 5% every day or so. Hoping there's a big push at some point this week (tweet an update please!)
Then the big ones I'm hunting are the lower volume coins. These always seem to react the slowest to recoveries (please don't argue that this isn't a recovery, I don't care right now) because people are hesitant to go into smaller caps. But they also feature the biggest reward (see stuff like DNA/GMT today). My picks on these are:
XBY: Had an AMA today that wasn't anything special, but solid nonetheless. It's gotten about 15% already post crash, but I still think there's more in here somewhere, but might just be pure optimism.
MAN: Announced they were postponing new exchange releases to early March so this had a little dip. Way too good of a coin not to have a surge soon though I feel like.
NAS: Super shocked this one hasn't had a pump during the recovery, thinking it's mostly because of the Exchanges it's on. Either way, expecting the biggest pump on this one as soon as it catches on.
Anyone else have any other suggestions of coins that are still dipping?

I'm done accumulating so I can talk about this. I tried to get in on ICO 2 days ago but it sold out in 2 minutes. Only 2x ICO price right now (ICO price was $0.25) and it's only been 2 days since ICO. They're already on IDEX and ED and are on Kucoin and Gate.io on Monday. They also just released their API to the public. Team moves incredibly fast. Had a 4.4 on ICOBench. Super good use case (storing medical records on the blockchain which is a massive deal if you work in healthcare) and ridiculously good team. Today's update:
Short one today since all the conventions are coming to a close. I don't know of much coming in early February but I expect some announcements about announcements to come tomorrow. With no major conventions coming up to my knowledge, I think it's best to find a safe haven for coins that will rebound when BTC rebounds.
* OMG: Town hall last night was filled with lots of good news. They're basically closer than everyone thought thanks to some weekend sleepover with Vitalik where they solved MVP problems over some juiceboxes. This is a case where I would say Don't sell the news because the big news/announcements are coming.
* STRAT: Announced a new ICO today and it basically got zero traction despite it being Beyond Global which is a PRETTY BIG deal. The good news for Strat holders is they onboarded a business dev and marketing team which starts tomorrow. If you've followed STRAT awhile, their marketing sucks because they're too busy with Github commits. Not a bad problem to have, but considering two ICO announcements in 10 days and a marketing team coming tomorrow, I expect next week to be good for STRAT.
* XBY: Still waiting on Lawyers to finish their patents and then a new wallet release is coming. Testnet 3 went well and the next one is on Xcite as well. The big time comes on Testnet 4 which is done with zoltchain which should roll into mainnet. Really all dependent on the patents at this point, but the team has been super communicative. This is still a long shot, but when it happens, it's going to happen big.
And the lesser plays (IMO):
* XRB: Nano rebrand already happened. Binance listing there's obviously a million rumors that it's coming "soon". I'm honestly skeptical that it goes too far passed $20 this week and I think the team will wait until next week for binance so they aren't layering major announcements. I'll probably buy the dip Friday/Saturday.
* ICX: Summit provided a decent 8-10% bump in a sea of red. I thought it was really well done. Hit 7200 sats where I bought in a bit. I think it'll return to 8200 by tomorrow now that people are done "selling the news"
* NEO: NEO con looked pretty crappy compared to ICX summit just marketing wise. Was still lots of good info and NEO is still a good buy, but no NEO coins like DBC, RPX got a huge bump from it like expected.

DNA: They're in London now with the actual presentation at the Genomics conference tomorrow. Minor sell wall on Kucoin but it's been trying to go up all day. I expect them to blow some minds tomorrow considering they have a working product and some guys DNA is literally on the blockchain.
HST: CEO tweeted a "MAJOR" exchange coming "very soon." Possibly Binance. Not sure when soon is. Hopefully this week.
OMG: AMA coming on the 31st. CEO has a history of announcing things end of month as well. This coin is super dipped right now (Even hit below bollinger). Also released the video with Vitalik yesterday so it looks like marketing is kicking in.
AMB: Rumors of NDAs being lifted on the 31st which could mean some major partner announcements which according to other rumors, includes some multi-billion dollar companies. Reddit shills are starting to get on this coin and we all saw what happened with XRB and VEN.
AION: Rumors that they are at ICX summit on the 31st (apparently just a rumor, not confirmed, but they are partners with ICX). Beta signups are on the 31st. Expecting a big announcement this week regardless.
And coins with news coming up that I'm not invested in for whatever reason:
XBY: There was a 22 BTC sell wall so I panic sold mine and then the whale removed the wall 30 minutes later so woops. This is still one of my favorite coins but please let it dip again so I can get back in.
ENG: NEO con. I love ENG, but its just not catching on like I keep expecting it to. Sitting out for now.
DBC: NEO con. I was in this coin super early and watched it hit 65 cents and I didn't sell. I think it'll go up, but I refuse to buy back in.
PRL: Testnet on the 31st. Same deal with DBC. I just don't think Kucoin is strong enough right now.
LEND: Lots of news for LEND today, but the news already came out and it only got a minor bump. I have no idea why, but this never seems to get traction, even with the ENG partnership. I'm holding off on this for now, but decent long term HODL.
COSS: Someone corrected me that COSS breakpoints were March (Engine + Fiat pairs), not February. I think it's a little early to go into COSS in that case.
ICX: ICX summit the 31st + Korean Exchanges. I am incredibly mixed up about this trying to decide if these are priced in or not. I'm hedging my bets on AION because I think it has higher potential upside, but you can't go wrong with ICX right now.

Quick update heading into the morning: I am super huge on OMG and AMB starting tomorrow. I think COSS is going to take another week or so to pick up so I've consolidated a bit.
I highly suggest getting into OMG and AMB ASAP. Both have started picking up a ton of momentum on Reddit. AMB is being shilled nonstop now.
XBY testnet results coming out tomorrow. Discord says its good news. This is also dipped hard right now. I've picked up a bit more. I think it'll be a good week.

ETH climbed so much yesterday that nothing made too much profit. I expect the same tonight, but Alts should start climbing tomorrow morning as news starts getting closer and closer.
* DNA: Genomics conference tomorrow. Also announced that someone uploaded their DNA to their chain so an actual working product. Expecting this to hit insanely hard tomorrow
* COSS: Apparently I was wrong about engine update in February and it's actually in March. I think that takes away SOME moon potential in the short-term, but this is still a long term HODL. I still wouldn't be surprised if Rune releases info sometime this week.
* HST: CEO tweeted a "MAJOR" exchange coming "very soon." Possibly Binance. Recent news of partner ship with WWF (the pandas!)
* XBY: Stress test went well yesterday, but nothing to write home about. I expect a proper news release Monday or Tuesday. Still super risky, but has the most moon potential of any coin.
And the two most low-risk (but still great reward) picks for upcoming news in the next couple days:

Each coin is just waiting their turn on Kucoin for their moon. As soon as ELIX devs drop some news, it will happen. They're normally pretty quiet, so we just need to wait. I expect late this week.

This is what I would buy RIGHT now. Not saying HODL these for the next year, but I would bet over the next 2 weeks this gives you a higher gain than most other coins solely due to releases/news coming out for each of these.

Keep your speculative coins, but don't pick such odd ones.

All similar coins to yours, low marketcap with high potential, but all are much less risky than some you picked (I'd remove AIX, MRT, BNTY, CAPP, WAVES)

DNA: Took a nasty hit this morning, but there are still major partner announcements and possible product on Monday. I used this dip to accumulate a bit more.
COSS: New engine early February (possibly Feb 1st). Great dev update yesterday. Possibly my favorite coin right now.
HST: CEO tweeted a "MAJOR" exchange coming "very soon." Possibly Binance. Recent news of partner ship with WWF (the pandas!). Tied for second favorite coin right now.
QLC: Rumors of partnership with T-Mobile close to done. New MVP version also released today.
LUX: No new wallet today per the rumor, but possibly soon. Did not have a good day today due to no release, but as soon as the team comes out with news, I expect it to do well. Buying the dip.
XBY: Stress test going on right now. There are a TON of people holding their breath for this one as this coin can either flop insanely hard or skyrocket. I'm betting on skyrocketing, team has been super communicative and active. Tied for second favorite coin right now because I'm greedy.
HPB: Stanford conference on the 31st. This one is a super moonshot, but has a boatload of potential. Riskiest pick on here for sure.
LEND: New Alpha release coming "very soon". Also ENG announced as collateral for LEND tokens. ENG mooning today, LEND should follow.
ELIX: Rumors of mobile app alpha test coming soon. I know a ton of people who are long-term HODLing this, myself included. I wouldn't hate the devs confirming these rumors for some short term gains.
ENG: Neo Conference on the 31st. Slightly mooned today so possibly a reaction to that news. I expect a dip the next couple days followed by something big.
