Most of the Bitcoin mining is using green energy

A single blade of a giant wind turbine which is 85 meters long has some 150 tons of steel.

Heat released from steel factories and electricity used. Green energy looks dubious.

Mastercard to start anonymous transactions on blockchain

Mastercard won a patent for anonymous transactions based on Blockchain. The new Mastercard patent describes a system that facilitates anonymous transactions through a block system. According to Mastercard, the transparent nature of transactions with blocking is an obstacle to adopting this technology for daily payments. Personally for here there will be no transparency. On the contrary, "you are in the rhythm of dance - you do not have to go anywhere" Mastercard actively cooperates with the states. Now the entire transaction will remain in life in the blockchain.

Furthermore recently there was a news about that India forbids and have banned bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on their territory. As far as I know a huge amount of Bounty Hunters wear from there...

India will follow USA. If U.S legalize Bitcoin, India will follow it.

North Korea nuclear deal: US attitude 'regrettable', says Pyongyang

North Korea has branded the US attitude at the latest talks over its nuclear programme "regrettable" and "extremely troubling".The statement, by an unnamed foreign ministry official, contradicted the version of events given by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo just hours before.

He had said progress was made during his two-day visit to Pyongyang. It was the first time he had visited North Korea since the Donald Trump-Kim Jong-un summit in Singapore."We had anticipated the US side would come with a constructive idea, thinking we would take something in return," the North Korean statement said."But through the high-level talks, the trust between the DPRK and the United States is facing a dangerous situation where our resolve for denuclearisation, which has been firm and steadfast, may falter."

U.S President Donald Trump talks about $500 billion tariffs on China and tariffs on Europe. Then China imposes $34 billion tariffs on U.S imports.

Could be some $1 Trillion of new tariffs on business and trade in world economy.

Iran talks about stopping supply route of oil through middle east after Donald Trump convinces China and India to stop buying crude oil from Iran. Crude oil could reach $140/barrel.

Looks like 2 to 5 years of high profits for Gold $2100/ounce and silver $80/ounce after major developments worldwide.

Buyers stop at a price. Will you buy 1 kilo tomatoes for $25 or 1 dozen eggs for $10 ??

Best example is Amby Valley of Indian billionaire Subroto Roy where he said market value is $6 billion. But buyers are not paying more than $2 billion.

589  Economy / Economics / $250/barrel oil if Iran blocks key shipment route in Middle East, analyst on: July 07, 2018, 09:29:30 AM
A helicopter from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln hovers over an Iranian patrol ship during a transit through the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran is threatening to block the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial artery for oil shipments from the Middle East, if Iranian exports are hampered. This will result in a huge loss of global crude supply and soaring prices.“The declared nominal throughput capacity of the Strait of Hormuz is about 14 oil tankers per day, or 17 million barrels per day, or about half of the world’s daily crude oil exports. If exports through it stop, the law of supply and demand would double oil prices to $160 per barrel,” Vladimir Rojankovski, investment analyst at Global FX, told RT.

The analyst added that if the Strait is blocked for one or two months, oil traders could panic and buy out all available crude futures, sending prices to $250 per barrel. However, Rojankovski expressed doubt that Iran would do that since the area is highly militarized. Most of the crude exported from Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Iraq passes through the Strait of Hormuz. It is also the route for nearly all the liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments from the world’s largest exporter, Qatar.

I purchased a chair from amazon.com and it broke in 2 months. The seller is not giving refund or new chair. Amazon is not replying to my emails . No help from amazon and they deleted the review that I posted on amazon for the seller and bad service from amazon.

Do you think people will use bitcoin when there is no protection against fraud from sellers ??
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will survive in "cashless society" ?? on: July 07, 2018, 05:05:33 AM
First, to clarify your claim, china is far from being considered a cashless society. Maybe, just maybe, cashless transactions are thriving in their large metropolitan cities like Beijing. But we have to remember that the largest part of china is made up of villages and provinces that are still living in poverty. The country's economy is rich though.

Years ago, peoples said that twitter will defeat Facebook but that's not happen.  I like Facebook and don't use twitter.  As long as it's free, of course will affect your privacy.  But I don't think it's a big problem for me.

People get paid millions to kick a ball around, while there are people struggling to survive.

Reports said in 2011 some 40,000,000 Indians would watch IPL cricket matches. Then in 2011, Osama Bin Laden was killed by U.S army during main IPL tournament. So 20,000,000 Indian started watching news channel and IPL lost 50% viewers.

Iran threatens to block Strait of Hormuz in response to US attempts to stop its oil exports

Tehran will close the Strait of Hormuz, effectively blocking all the oil shipments from the Persian Gulf if Washington succeeds in its attempts to reduce Iranian oil exports, an Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander said.
“Any hostile attempt by the US [to impede Iran’s oil trade] will be followed by an exorbitant cost for them,” Esmail Kowsari, a deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guards’ Sarollah base in Tehran told the Iranian Young Journalists Club, which is linked to the national broadcaster controlled by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“If Iran’s oil exports are [stopped], we will not give permission for oil to be exported to the world through the Strait of Hormuz,” Kowsari said, as cited by Bloomberg.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most strategically-important choke points, particularly when it comes to the oil. The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most strategically-important choke points, particularly when it comes to the oil trade. About 30 percent of all seaborne oil is transported through it. Iran threatened to block the strait on several occasions over the years but has never followed through with its threats yet.

Suppose you want to hire a freelancer and you find someone from another country, you have to pay a fee of around 3-4% while making the payment to him. Using Bitcoin you will cut out the middleman and won't have to pay such high fees. also Bitcoin provides you security and privacy while doing online transactions which you don't get with other services. Not to mention the fact that you are the sole owner of your money and governments have no control over it.

Paypal has chargebacks in case of fraud that is the reason online stores have paypal and no other payment processors like paytoo, skrill.

What protection does bitcoin offer in case the seller is fraud (send defective products or does not ship the product & services)??
