Today the masternode payments fork went into effect. The fork went off without issue and the network looks very healthy, but it appears there is some issue with pools voting for the wrong masternodes. This is causing payments to not go through as they should.
The fix is rather simple and can be done without a hard fork. After the pools update to the fixed version, the payments will begin to go through. We’re currently working on a resolution and will provide the new version soon (probably by tomorrow, hopefully in a few hours).
Thanks,
The Darkcoin Team Pools need to update to the fixed version Attention Pool Operators,
If you're unaware, the masternode payments have experienced some issues. It appears there the issues is actually just problems with masternode propagation on the network. This will fix itself over time, however to fix this quickly we've made some modifications to the code.
Pool Operations: Please recompile the source from master and add maxconnections=200 to your configuration Everyone else: You need not update
If the problem doesn't resolve itself we'll look into other possible causes.

Noone knows? ./darkcoind validateaddress "yourMNaddress" this should show the associated pubkey edit: my qt seems to get out-of-sync, I'm stuck at block 74569, anyone else having problems? Do you have the last version ? Stable or RC ?

I imagine there are quite a few people with BTC waiting & their fingers hovering over the buy button...
Those are some very, very stupid people.... That button should have been pressed months ago. dude really, don't call other people stupid... Stupid is as stupid does. I do not apologize for the truth. You have your way with people lol It's never too late, 1 DRK is still "cheap" vs its future value IMO.

Anybody know how to undo a wallet.dat file that I copied over.
If you're using Windows, you could try Properties > Previous Versions. I haven't tested it myself and I'd back up anyway before trying. im using windows 8.1 and don't see previous versions in the properties tab for the wallet.dat file ok I found it but it didn't reset the wallet back to the original address. any other ideas? Restore from backup. You have backups, right? cmon if had a backup i'd have restored it already. so heres the problem I xxx coins in an old xcoin wallet that wouldn't sync anymore. so I tried to update the wallet to darkcoin only to find I had a new darkcoin wallet confused by this I tried to send my coins from the old xcoin wallet that wasn't syncing to the new darkcoin wallet of course the new wallet wouldn't show the transaction because the old wouldn't sync to make the transaction. so I followed some advice to add the xcoin wallet.dat file to darkcoins without knowing the extent of the changes I copied over the darkcoin wallet.dat file. so now I have my old xcoin wallet in the darkcoin wallet all synced up ready to work minus the xxx coins id transferred to the darkcoin wallet. hind sight is 20/20 obviously a huge mistake but its gotta be reversible right? ..... call HP to restore your lost data. Hope their price is not more than your coins Maybe a free data recovery software can do the trick.

Over 50% of master nodes are hosted on Amazon. I think a lot of the folks are just familiar with renting EC2s via free signup. These are not robust enough to run MN in my opinion, hopefully they start moving out after becoming familiar with the set up. The VPS provider accepting DRK would be a good fit to run a few MNs. IMO they follow the guide to the letter. Maybe we have to provide a more universal guide to setup with other hosts.

Before techsolution drowns us in spam again... any good responses to t3a's points? It won't. It requires a hard fork and Bitcoin will not hard fork for DarkSend, nor jeopardize regulation issues.
It doesn't require a hardfork if the coinjoin organizers aren't paid by block reward, but instead by those they are coinjoining for. Or better yet, it would be decentralized and no one would be paid at all. Misbehaving nodes don't get payment. So false.
The reason PoW works so well is because you can prove it. You can say "hey, here is the block header I have and here is it's hash. As you can see, it's hash is below the target, therefore I have created a block". Coinjoin organization is a series of messages. You could (A) have a central authority see if the masternode is facilitating coinjoins and keep a log of behaving masternodes, or you could (B) just trust that the miner is right about whether the masternode was behaving at block X, or you could (C) trust your peers. Option A invokes trust in a central authority, option B allows miners to pay themselves (assuming they're operating as a masternode) every time and option C opens you up to sybil. TL;DR PoR is an oxymoron because you can't construct a proof that you are offering a resource. In case (B), which seems the best according to t3a, if the miners are in charge of checking the behavior of the masternodes. What if there's a 51% attack ?

Show me your bank balance, and how much you get paid by your employer.
i am employer so nobody pay me. i dont know u are honest so why should i show u my balance, my balance is always visible to my accountant nad any gov administration if i have control and i have no problem with that, why do u need to see my balance? If we apply what you said we can ask you : Why ? Do you have something to hide ?
|
|
|
Yes, i agree, but how can u be sure only good people will use it, mostly people who has something to hide try to make it anonymous:)
How a government can be absolutely sure that cash is not used for illegal purposes ?
