581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The misused of merit on forum..... on: December 14, 2019, 02:26:44 AM
I guess if the post is really deserving it is not an abused of the system anyhow in my personal opinion if I was going to merit somebody if I see he gain more than 100 merits already to his post I won't add anymore I will give it to other deserving persons who need it.

Yes, I think you can really see point with me. People make good post that deserves to be merited but once you come across  such post that normally you think it need to be merit but occasionally the post already has a good merit I think no need to add more to it they are more other way to acknowledge a post aside from merit. You can drop a recommendation that will make the poster feel good as well just like those comments above it help the poster know better and give him more understanding about What he/she was taking about because no man knows all whati think is perfect might just be as normal to you.
Am really glad with different opinions shared in the post and know I have learned something new from it.
582  Other / Beginners & Help / The misused of merit on forum..... on: December 13, 2019, 05:11:29 PM
Hello community am confused about theway merit are being used in this forum.

The way merit are being given out to some post on this forum is turn abused, how on earth will a single post merit 30+ merit? and must of this post are just simple question or answer. Post are not suppose to be merit more than 2-5 depends on how helpful and relevant the post.

But it now seems many person now buy it even when they don't merit have any. I don't think this was the primary aim of adding merit to this forum. Please let stop abusing merit...

Please what did you think, what is your suggestion on regarding this?Huh?
583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I earned my first merit How to use it. on: December 13, 2019, 04:43:55 PM
With a single merit you will move from newbies to junior member why with 10 merit you will move from junior member to member, while with 100 merit you will move to full member rank. That how the merit works it help you increase your rank and reputation on bitcointalk though many person now buy it even when they don't merit have any. You willcome acrosspost on bitcointalkforum with more than 30 merit just simple question as, I don't it this was the primary aim of adding merit to this forum. Please let top abusing merit...
584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password on: December 13, 2019, 04:28:13 PM
To me I believe the best password to use is number and alphanumeric with this nobody can easily catch your password expect it was disclose by you and the habit of people send password through any internet miss is very bad. So let try and keep your password save like we do to our money because losing your password is equivalent to losing of your investment on fire blaze...
585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies - Read before using exchanges or investing on: December 13, 2019, 11:07:32 AM
NEWBIES - READ BEFORE USING EXCHANGES OR INVESTING

People say:
"Not your keys, not your bitcoin"
"Not your keys, not your crypto"

This is true not only for bitcoin, but also right for altcoins.

From that, I will give you some points, that will play vital roles to keep you safe in crypto.

[1] Don't store your coins on exchanges for too long. It is the most stupid mistake
[2] Don't use wallets that you don't have full control of wallet's private keys.
[3] Do your own research on your interest coins, to find out about their wallets, and choose best ones in case you buy them and withdraw coins from exchanges
[4] Read tutorials on how to verify wallet (if possible), backup seeds, private keys, wallet backup; and steps to recover wallets
[5] Testing seeds, private keys, wallet backup first, and only deposit money in those wallets when testing results are good
[6] Don't use masternode / shared masternode hosting services
[7] Don't store your coins on mixing service platforms for too long. Withdraw them immediately after mixing process finished
[8] Check KYC requirements on exchanges that you have plans to buy coins on their platforms
[9] Pay your attention on very early signals of scam exchanges

[1] Don't store your coins on exchanges for too long. It is the most stupid mistake
Risks of hacks, exchange scam exits. Big exchanges can be hacked, big exchanges can do scam exits. Take care of your coins is better.
At least, if I do research on exchange reputation and its current situation (deposits, especially withdrawals); then I have likely been safe in very short term. You are right that exchanges can turn into scam or can be hacked within seconds, no one knows.
Investigate first, have detailed plans to withdraw after buying coins on exchanges (preparation on wallets on your devices), and set up plans to withdraw, 5 minutes or longer.
BTW, I want to add one more point:
- After buying, it will be safer to withdraw small amount of coins to test withdrawal on that exchange for the coin you just bought.
- If small withdrawals get first confirmation, let's move all rest of your coins.
Depends on how small the withdrawal is. Most exchanges have a minimum and you can't withdraw below that minimum.
Also you will be paying double fees for 2 withdrawals. For example the withdrawal fee is 0.0005 BTC on Binance - more than $5. It is not exactly cheap if you are not dealing with a lot of money.
Their withdrawal limit is 0.002 BTC - more than $20. If it is a small amount the user might not be able to respect these limits to make two withdrawals.
Thanks.
I would like to give explanation: that point focuses on altcoins. Withdrawal fees with altcoins are cheaper.
BTW, you remind me that it is important point that I forgot to write in OP.

[2] Don't use wallets that you don't have full control of wallet's private keys
You should read about custodial and non-custodial wallets.
I suggest you to choose non-custodial wallets to have full control of your private keys. No one can steal your bitcoins, ie. if you don't lose your private keys. It means you have to take care of your private keys, and your computer security, nevertheless.
Just a bit of advice for the people and mostly for the newbies out there who still use exchanges as personal wallets and are careless about the safety of their funds...

If you don't want to be a victim of another inside job from exchanges or even having your personal wallets hacked (malware), I highly suggest investing in a hardware wallet. You will sleep better at night.

This is more valid than before as the price is surging...

[3] Do your own research on your interest coins, to find out about their wallets, and choose best ones in case you buy them and withdraw coins from exchanges
This step will help you having good preparation for what you will do next after successfully buying your interest coins.
You will know which wallets to use, where to download, how to install, backup, recover, and testing all those steps on your computers.
How to search?
  • If your interest project already listed on coinmarketcap.com (~ CMC) > Start from CMC to get official website, github, etc. of that project
  • If your interest project has not yet listed on CMC, and you know official website of that project > Start from official website to get other things
  • If your interest project has not yet listed on CMC, and you know official website of that project > Start doing your own research from Google, with higher risks. This is last option you should think of.

Benefits:
It will save your time. The more time you save after buying coins on exchanges, the more security and less risks you will have, because you can move your coins from exchanges to wallets under your control after a few minutes.

[4] Read tutorials on how to verify wallet (if possible), backup seeds, private keys, wallet backup; and steps to recover wallets
Using non-custodial wallets don't mean that you are totally safe, because it depends on your computer security, and wallets you download are official, and zero-threats/malwares or not.
Reading how to verify wallet (to check it is official or not) is very important and vital. Doing this before using that wallet for transactions.
Appreciated help from @DdmrDdmr to remind that verify wallet quality and functions is important to, in case wallet has poor quality, and bad functional operation, you don't lose your money.

[5] Testing seeds, private keys, wallet backup first, and only deposit money in those wallets when testing results are good
After verifying wallets (if that feature is available), and installing wallet on your devices, and doing back ups (in the [4] step). Now, it is time to test those backups on same devices or on other devices.
Checking all of those backups to make sure that in case your devices broken technically, you will be able to recover your wallets (there is no mispelling on seeds, private keys, etc.)
Good practice is to turn off your internet connection when testing. Even its desktop or in mobile devices.
2. Turn off internet connection while generating your Bitcoin address

It’s also possible to create a vanity address when your internet connection is active, but for security reasons no internet connection is recommended. It would be even safer if you run the program on a computer that was never connected to the internet, but you can decide for yourself which security level is sufficient. It's always recommend to prefer high security standards to avoid any problems resulted by hacks because it's always possible that your device is compromised.
If you want maximal security you can generate your vanity address via split-key.

[6] Don't use masternode / shared masternode hosting services
It is nearly the same as storing coins on exchanges for too long; and you don't have control of your money.

  • GINcoin: Shutdown their masternode hosting service, without announcement in their ANN thread or on their website. They only announced it in their Discord.

[7] Don't store your coins on mixing service platforms for too long. Withdraw them immediately after mixing process finished
It is nearly the same as storing coins on exchanges for too long.

[8] Check KYC requirements on exchanges that you have plans to buy coins on their platforms
This step is another must-do thing. It is ridiculous that your original aim to create accounts on exchanges is to buy your interested coins, and withdraw them to store in wallets you have control on private keys; but at the end you are unable to withdraw due to failed KYC.

It ensures that if you don't want to do KYC, you will not create account, and send your funds (bitcoin, fiats, whatever) to those exchanges; then you will have to mandatory do KYCs (that what you never want to do at starts).

In addition, it also ensure that on exchanges that KYC is mandatory to be able to withdraw money, you have to successfuly do KYC verification first, before send your fund to your accounts on those exchanges.
Sometimes, I saw people complain that they failed to do KYC verifications. There are some reasons:
  • ID cards, photos, ie. blurred
  • Their nations in which they live listed in exclusive nations of exchanges

[9] Pay your attention on very early signals of scam exchanges

I meant, when one legit exchange starts to turn into a scam one, it usually shows very early signals. They are sort of very strange requirements and abnormal responses to their customers' supports, something like that. When you see it, I believe it is very early signal of highly potential scam exit.

A legit exchange can turn into a scam one in a minute. They can do it instantly if they want (with so many faked, nonsense accuses).

There is a very good example for the point #9: the Crypto Bridge exchage: https://crypto-bridge.org/

I will give you a very brief summary on their scam progress.
To save space in OP, you can read more details on Crypto Bridge with my summary here

You are very correct. Many has lost their fund because of such ignores. I can tell you many people  have the problem of reading information as they believe it waist of time and this has really cause them allot please let allow try to read information before making any purchase or investment..
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: addresses explanation on: December 13, 2019, 10:57:19 AM
You can easily know who send btc to your by checking the agreed amount but if they are many person with the same amount you can send can reach of them to add a memo to the wallet when sending just like you said your friends has wallet x and you received from wallet y that means the received btc is from different person and to know the person you have to trace the transaction with the transaction hash on the payment received.....
587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What does it mean by [ANN]? on: December 13, 2019, 10:47:00 AM
Everyone says check the ANN thread, check the ANN thread, Any ANN thread. But what is this ANN thing? I still don't understand.

Ann thread this is a shorter form of announcement thread that is mainly used in crypto currency space must especially in new launch company. Ann thread gives the brief summary of a project in a graphic moment for better understanding of the project even without the project website or white paper. Ann thread is launch on bitcointalk forum just like bounty thread.

589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: December 13, 2019, 10:20:10 AM
Sure it's impossible to say but still... after yesterday hearing i really don't know what to think. Used to be sure Libra entry will boom the market once again but it looks like Libra's not coming shortly.
Is btc halving the most promising ''event'' we are looking forward to (at the moment)?

To me is still have not see this development of Libra project all I can take verything about Libra is just a rumor and as for the "will crypto boom again" I so much believe bitcoin will raise in 2020 and once bitcoin raise all other crypto will boom as well.
590  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Is Why Bitcoin Price Could Hit $55,000 Next Year: Crypto Zombie in Trader’s on: December 13, 2019, 10:10:23 AM
Most likely it will not happen next year, but in the next 5 years it should.

You are very correct, I so much believe this will happen it might take. Because if you remember back in 2012 nobody expect bitcoin to hit $18k in 2018 but it happens so they is heavy  tendency that when bitcoin want to raise next it will be more than *2 of what it was in 2018..

Most likely it will not happen next year, but in the next 5 years it should.

Why did you believed it won't happened in next year, I think with all I have gathered so far in crypto currency market any thing can  happened when you don't even expect it. So the tendency of bitcoin  hitting 55,000$ next year might sound impossible but it very Much possible...

Some question keep flashing my mind about crytpocurrency trading and forex trading, in crypto currency you exchange your local currency with bitcoin or other Altcoin which means you can buy different token with your money once it get to crypto market but I can clearly observed that in forex trade you only have access to convert your local money to USD which means you are still dealing with fiat. Now my question is between crypto currency trading and forex trading which one is riskier and which is more advisable to get involved as a new online trader???
Both are risky for me, as long as there is value involve and it is riskier if the amount of what you trade is huge. Cryptocurrency and forex trading are both have risk. If you are new in trading you can practice with a small amount, and try to trade with cryptocurrency 1st. There are altcoins that you can choose and you can practice strategies just make sure you start with the amount you can afford to lose that you can practice your skills with it.

I fee so relived that by the response I got here, and I full believe this will achieved build up my mind on how to manage my fund practically when I want to invest, and I so believed with those response here I have understand that I most invest what am capable of loosing. I will really say I appreciate this all response so far..

You would want to familiarize yourself with the forum rules,
32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.
You have posted consecutively, more than once on this thread, it's better to edit the next reply into the previous one.
You also need to build trust. As a bounty manager you would have to be trusted by the campaign hiring you as well as the individuals working for the campaign.

This is fully noted and I will try as much as posibble to follow all the rules on the great forum

The story behind Legit_Alt+ Start up
How stay around the word of crypto currency for more than 5 year as a bounty hunter, I have pass through different issues as a bounty hunter which are:
working for scam project.
bounty manager going way with bounty hunter money
even working for some really project at end no payment.
Bounty manager limiting Bounty allocations.
And all this has because an issues on my head and I keep on thinking how can this be minimize then I came with the ideas of creating a telegram group were all Bounty's hunter can come together and report any suspicious project, so we can write against them, but still on still nothing change, but I determine to ever give on this, thats how i came up with this new idea of work as bounty manager were I can bring legit Bounty's to people of bitcointalk community. And the name Legit_Alt+ quickly fly up my mind and name this account Legit_Alt+. we will ensure our bounties is fully verified and ensure the team are real before accepting any job offer from them. Stay connect and get all Legit bounty soon.......

Every bounty hunter feels this way. This is a very tough task for a newbie in managing. I wonder how are you going to get hired by projects without anything on hand. I don’t think that 5 years of BCT experience is enough for you to become a manager. This requires skills that correlates to the position you want and even more pre-requisite to enter bounty management.

And oh, by the way, some of the “scam” projects aren’t just because of a failed manager but the company/projects itself so we cannot blame those managers. Their task is really hard unlike being a bounty hunter.

I wish you goodluck, OP. Please work hard to achieve this.

I understand your oppinoins clearly but I will tell you I have to start this way, because I want good end job that will benefit the community as especially the bounty hunters, as I know how painful it is for an individual to works for 3-4 month and at last find out that all his labour was in vain, so my number focus is to bring legit Bounty's to people being newbies or legendary don't not really matter, what matter is your experience aand connectivity with the right personel and industries. Thanks for your advice
598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Reason Behind Legit_Alt+ creation on: October 29, 2019, 04:36:57 PM
You should probably spread the word in other forums and not here. This forum is generally for newbie users finding their way and old users answering the questions of newbies after all. Plus, you should have probably used your original account instead. Its a lot more credible and a lot of people would see your past posts and transactions, making you more eligible for their trust.
As of the current status of your account though, it may take quite some time to obtain their recognition and trust so Id suggest posting credible stuff that would make your account more spread out towards the forum plus it could also lead to other bounty hunters seeing you rmessage.

OK, I don't this as well I will work on this aspect, and try to ensure this messages got to but bounty hunter and project own by posting this on other related forum
599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Reason Behind Legit_Alt+ creation on: October 29, 2019, 01:12:41 PM
If you intend to become a bounty manager, ill advice you move your topic to services, that's the section where users posts their intentions to become campaign managers, not on beginners and help.

I wonder who would hire a newbie with zero merits, and no activity, it'll probably take you forever to get a campaign to hire you.
Well as you're getting to it, do well to purchase a copper membership so you could be able to post images.

All your points are noted and I will get the copper membership rank as you have adviced thanks for your kind word

If you joined a bounty which has especially been announced in this forum then best way is to make a scam accusation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
Include all the details and proofs of how you were scammed. The managers and profiles of scam projects will be tagged by DT members if the evidence is deemed legit.

Also, always ensure to do background checks before joining bounties. That will save you from wasting time and heartbreaks of not getting paid.

Thanks for your concerns, I will ensure proper check are always done
