581  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 28, 2023, 11:41:52 PM
Not sure why, but when I looked, Ratimov's account had been active about a minute ago. Roll Eyes
I really wish people don’t get to joke about life and death situation. Perhaps, it states that the “user Ratimov” is dead and could either mean user as a forum account name or the person behind the account. Either way, I think both person and account counts for something as, the account reflects a possible nature of whom has been behind it and coming here to reduce the account or person to be nothing is some years and effort being thrown out the window.

@Ratimov being online, is he actually seeing this? Because, in the continued spreading of this fowl message and the user being active but yet don’t get to clear things very vividly could mean something.
Ratimov has been some figure in the forum and have touched the accounts on many with him serving as a merit source and as a reputable user on the forum. Let’s be guided on how this news is being passed and received.
582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 28, 2023, 11:23:10 PM
I'm guessing this is one of the funnier Premier League of the last decade.

Debacle for Arsenal and Spurs, I think Guardiola will win again in the end.
While it might be easy to make that assumption based on what befall both league leaders today, I would say I’ve had to endure even worst from Manchester City and without E. Haaland in Manchester City now, the team haven’t been making much exploit and without making him seem way much important, he didn’t really do much in his last 3games.

Still, it was an interesting game week and watch on how both league leaders were beaten to a 2 goal difference. While West Ham United was able to manage and keep a clean sheet, Brighton Hove Albion couldn’t help it.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 27, 2023, 09:22:28 PM
I played Roulette on a casino three days ago and it was obviously my first-time playing Roulette, I literally didn't understand my way out and I just knew I should select a number and click on spin. I did that obediently and time after time, I lost. I was really motivating myself with the next spin, and next and next, but all to no avail, I was lost in the ride until I drained my deposit for the day's gambling, that time It dawned on me that my Ignorance has contributed to my parallel losses for the day, I just logged out and ended that day's session disappointed.
You could take that to be the price for learning. I’m n learning, you actually pay a heavy price when you act on ignorance but, it’s not entirely out of place. You was just trying out your skills at a game and discovering something new and in an instant, you’ve discovered two things,
1. The cost of ignorance and
2. Going at an event your ignorance on without any pro tops could result in some loses which you might not be ready for at n the end.
That’s why it’s always advised that, you don’t go to a field without proper research from an expert or maybe a research of your own. We’ve got several sources online to seek out some knowledge on how a filed or a game works. The rulers is the most you would need in most instances.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 08:50:37 PM
There's still more goals to be scored in the next half and Nkuku will be lucky to have a goal, unless he is substituted.
A player like Olise should be well fitted for a club like Chelsea, because I know if Jose Mourinho was still the manager he would have been well pleased with Olise's performance that he would speculate on buying him.
The troubles for Chelsea this season is just so much that looking at the bench of injuries and disciplinary actions, the manager needs a soccer miracle to even sit near or on top the first 5 top finishers on the EPL table this season.
Is the issue of Chelsea really one more player?
I don’t see Olise to be the solution for Chelsea’s container bad performance. Nope, it’s just about another good player. Well, we could say some players are more adaptive to a teams style of play than others. Like, Chelsea had J. Felix and did nothing with him but, his now in the  Barcelona team and making good out of his play for Barcelona. Managers have come and go and the issuer with Chelsea still persists with very slight improvements.
What I’ve figured to be there issue is that winning mentality, to go out and attack more with a striker that can be able to convert most of the Chelsea chances at goal.
Creating these goal opportunities have not been the problem for Chelsea but a finisher is. Chelsea need a very good finisher and that isn’t something Olise could provide.
585  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: December 27, 2023, 08:37:48 PM
I have come to realize that our traditional local banks only really give out loans to persons, or organizations that are known either online or offline and has a location with documents to proof their existence.
Same goes for those who use loan apps. You have to at least identify with the verifications stressing on passport, state of residence, age, and the funny thing is that your device location will be required to be turned on while doing all this or even applying for the loan.

I have no doubt my observation is applicable to even crypto currency lenders, because even these days the P2p system isn't as decentralized or anonymous as before where we think we were trading with bots or fake people/scammers.
I don’t blame any organization in taking steps to ensure the recovery of there funds. We’ve got way too many loan defaulters that has create a chain of lose in the system that organizations as much as they hope to reduce the regors involved in acquiring a loan, they still need to sort means to ensure loans could be paid as at when due. It’s cool.

Although personally, I feel loan acquisition has been made too common and comes with almost zero difficulty these days. Just anyone could acquire loan with just a cell phone number with the loan offerers depending on the connections or verifications that might have been previously done with the chip number for recovery of loan. I mean, that’s way too simple.
586  Economy / Economics / Re: Why must you used such money to purchased a car? on: December 27, 2023, 08:30:17 PM

Apparently, it’s not obligatory that every advice must or should be adhered to. It’s just your honest opinion out of how you feel money should be spent or managed but, it’s obvious your friend has other plans. I can’t say he made the worst of decisions on how to enjoy his hard earned currency. There is always room for enjoyment of investment and I think that’s what your friend s about. If I can get you correctly, he has got some investments in his life and that could be some reason why he made his choice in a Ross Royce for a car. It’s definitely something that would have been on his mind for some time to have taken such huge step for a ride.
I would have loved him to own some Bitcoin of his own but who knows, he’s probably got a plan for that or not. So long as he invests as much as he spends, that’s okay.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 27, 2023, 08:01:48 PM
Although Everton lost in their last game against Tottenham Hotspur I think they play well and deserved more than just a goal in that match. Manchester city is coming back from lifting the world club cup competition certifying Manchester city as the best club currently in the world, this makes them my favorite in today's game.
I think Manchester city would break Everton defense and score multiple of goals but I think it would be a both team score result.
There are little contest to either Manchester City would win there fixtures against Everton. Everton haven’t been in there best form neither will I say for Manchester City but, it speaks rather of there desperate need to win there fixtures and it doesn’t matter much what strategy Sean Dyche would bring to the game, I don’t see how Pep wouldn’t be much in the lead need for this game than Dean Dyche ever would. They drew there last fixtures against Crystal Palace and have dropped to the fifth spot in the league table, they’ve just got to bag all 3 points in this one.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 10:02:42 PM
Garnacho finally decides to take all the chances at goal he missed during the Liverpool fixtures in this Aston Villa game. How proud he would be making Ten Hag when the finally whistle goes.
It’s just another one where they had to pull out minutes of magic after being put under pressure with Ten Hags job as Manchester United manager being threatened. This win might see him through the top of the management for the rest of the year but, will that be enough to keep him all season, that I can’t tell.

Manchester United needs to find a way to bring consistent and it’s hoped that with this Aston Villa win, it could mark the start of something. Even still, keeping clean sheet and the defense is still poorly coordinated.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to avoid compulsive thoughts related to anxiety on: December 26, 2023, 09:42:49 PM
I think the best part to the OP with regards to what’s been discussed is summed in this phrase
First step with dealing with anxiety is to recognize it.

Although it is refrained differently in OP as it directly recognizes OP, I’ll like to say, the first step to actually solving any issue is knowing first and foremost that you have a problem. If you don’t come ti that conclusion, then there isn’t a need to even try to remedy any situation that may be. You’re just good to keep living.

Once you establish that there is a situation, a habit that isn’t been helpful, then you would sort out means to solving that problem which might start from identifying what particular problem that might be of which, Anxiety could number in here.

While it might be a normalized situation for others, it’s important that you don’t open that ample space to be anxious over a bet or making profit over a betting session. You could easily start chasing loses/profit and both aren’t a good position to be in. It could always and most easily turn out negatively for you as a gambler.
590  Other / Meta / Re: Forum growth on: December 26, 2023, 09:23:53 PM
I think the context to what you’re asking is in the name and mode of reward else, contest does exists on the forum but, not a lottery in per say. What you observe more;

Test of skill:
Pizza contest
Bitcointalk community awards
The various fantasy leagues where funds are pooled and disbursed (T&C Applies)
We have several contests in games and rounds

There are just more and more of those underlying events that could be in itself rewarding. Mustn’t always be money and you could be damned sure some of them get merits too if that’s of any concern here.

Still, the idea to the forum has always been about seeking knowledge and that should be the focus and not some lottery or awards. It’s a shift and I feel we already have some for content.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 26, 2023, 08:23:58 PM
My question now is are there any moral, ethical or legal obligation to bar a person from gambling after physically observing that he is mentally unstable?
From the OP, it’s obvious that not dressing properly doesn’t define the mental state of a person. Saying the individual in question acted in ways that are becoming to society with the exception of his dressing says he’s stable at least.

He doesn’t still,
Don’t go about begging for aids,
Tries he’s hands on some gambling to earn or maybe distract himself and
Works a job to raise funds.

Just how would he be to not be insane. Perhaps it’s possible we could see an insane person that is properly dressed. Can we?
Anyway, he places his bets, pays for it and coexists with the rest of the world peacefully, that’s cool.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 07:42:49 PM
Am just so curious what might happen to ten hag if Manchester united were to lose the night game against Aston villa although with all the pressure and losses one might expect them to squeeze out a win from the game but when it comes to Manchester united we don't have to be so certain and another thing they are playing with the one of the league giant killer, this team has literally won the highest teams in the league and winning this night game against a wounded Manchester united side won't be any surprise to me though but what will be the faith of ten hag if this was the case.

Who could possibly be the savior for Manchester United tonight is Onana. He was when they played against Liverpool even though he wasn’t given much credit for his goalkeeping. He was nervous yes but, he soon found his confidence in the game and was able to keep a clean sheet. Even now, with Manchester United playing at home against the Aston Villa side, if he could manage it to gain his confidence early in the game, he just might help his team from loosing but, that’s an in-view expectation as the loads of critics on him gets him in a tensed state even before the kick off and that could be the difference between winning or loosing for Manchester United tonight:
593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk vs. YouTube from an educational viewpoint on: December 23, 2023, 07:03:02 PM
Do we really have to bring these two to any form of comparison?
While one counts as social media (YouTube), the other (Bitcointalkforum) is a community of like minds with some anti to ensure proper discussions on a course to its dilute state.

Contents on YouTube might be censored and it inset really subject to discussion, just where you have a single teacher. A know all figure kind of trying to teach you all there ideas be it wrong or right but, it’s not the case with Bitcointalkforum.  The forum is open to a large variety of people from diverse educational backgrounds, all involve in teaching as well as learning at the same time. You’re not being forced on an idea but everything is subject to discussion until you’re fully satisfied with the discussions on a course.

Meanwhile, the highly moderates nature of Bitcointalkforum ensure there isn’t any censorship on discussions and that informations relayed to the public are legit.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good or bad way to avoid high transaction fee? on: December 23, 2023, 06:33:24 PM
I am not saying it's good or bad because I don't know but I am shocked that I never knew this existed before, now I keep wondering about how many things I don't even know is happening in crypto, are you guys familiar with this? Anyone using BNB chain to store Bitcoin to avoid high transaction fee?
There are a lot that is in and going on in crypto that you wouldn’t know about and there isn’t anything wrong and out that. Just having an open mind and be ready to discover in bits what might be of help or not is how you learn. Be it as it may;

Using the BNB Smartchain isn’t something entirely strange to me but as something I’ve happened to use, not at all. You might want to note that, this exists only on exchanges and that speaks volumes of centralization, it is an altcoin and is liable to effects as associated with the BNB Smartchain. That makes it not a best option when running Bitcoin transactions and don’t look towards storing your precious Bitcoin on altcoin blockchains all because of low fees, it could spell disaster at any minute.

I'll pass the open bet Igebotz, because as soon as Ratcliffe get some real control over that club, he's going to bin Ten Hag at the earliest opportunity.

Sacking him will not fix their problems, but only send them one step backward; remember how he turned the poor manutd team and led them to the CL and the League Cup in his first season? Give him two more seasons with a completely fit team, and he will bring this shithole to glory. I've always admired ETH tactical abilities
Sacking him just might not have much effect than to get them a step backward but. That could as well be some place for a start. A step to recount on and look for a forward in the new management.
Still, I must say ETH came in strong with a more of a disciplinary approach to setting the his boys on the path to good performance with Rashford being a key to his squad. Now, Rashford equals nothing and it doesn’t seem like his got any tactics in his play book. Manchester United don’t play like a team, they are just about trier and errors as it is. No particular first eleven, I mean, what can anyone make of that?
Records aren’t going to keep him eventually, EPL just happened to him!

Solanke owners: we're eating good.
You can be damned sure I’m beating myself for not paying any attention to my team in the on going GW. I apparently would have had to make some good chances that I knew could have helped and all I can do now is just look my team without any objectivism about it. In fact, my bench seems to be having more points than my on pitch players and Solanke with a hat trick today while on my bench as a 2nd Sub, that’s just awful.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 06:01:05 PM
Your analogy is very on point, and I can attest to the fact that Liverpool are the comeback kings so far this season with a very high probability of them winning at Anfield.
Is that by any means the case as we can see right now… Yeah, it’s not been a dull game, both sides have been up and about there attacks but then, Arsenal seems to be making the most of there forward actions. They’ve got a goal and are very much in the race to make it 2 goals. Liverpool already had a draw with Manchester United at the Anfield, I’m sure they wouldn’t be looking to get another draw but that’s very unlikely as they’ve got to do more than better.

Oh! Seems there would be so much of possibilities here as M. Salah nets his first for Liverpool in the fixtures. Zinchenko just couldn’t do much to stop him taking the ball to his left foot and taking that impressive shot on goal.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 04:28:55 PM
West Ham United's rise continues. If we don't count the shocking loss to Fulham, they have had a good run in the last 7 games. They collected 16 points in these matches and rose to the 6th place. Manchester United seemed to be recovering for a while, but the bad trend continues. They don't have many target left this season. They spent a lot of money and didn't get anything in return. Luckily they are not alone, Chelsea is in a worse situation than them. Smiley
I had little room for doubt in my mind that West Ham United was going to convert their chances to win all 3 points in that fixture. Manchester United controlled most of the first half but, you could find them making nothing from their chances and they had such decent once. The Garnacho chance was some of the best in the game, I just don’t know how he just couldn’t set that ball just right with his last first touch.
The passes from Paqueta was what made all the difference in this game and Manchester United had to go with yet another lose.
Manchester United wouldn’t ah e to look up to Chelsea for team brilliance, they’ve just been bad all season and aren’t playing like a team.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anything to worry about if you use mixers and not doing anything illegal? on: December 22, 2023, 11:54:10 PM
There is nothing illegal about having to use the services of mixers. It’s just as legal as any service out there in cryptospace and our world. It only portrays you to be one who is privacy concerned and sees the need to not have your transactions followed in any particular way.
The stand on the forum with mixers shouldn’t deter you from having any form of patronage to the service, the forum only takes this position to save itself some trouble as, some users have used the leverage mixers provide to hide traces of illegal transactions. These are the persons that should be worried as, their transactions are one of high interest to authorities.
If your clean, your cool.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: December 22, 2023, 11:47:33 PM

Back to the topic; Watkins Captaincy our week is over.

Watkins captaincy should've rewarded us with a goal and an assist but VAR didn't allow either. I expected more from Villa and Watkins but Sheffield put up a very strong defensive performance.
I might just have a rough week after all, don’t know how I managed to miss the Crystal Palace vs Brighton Hove Albion of yesterday. Just like that, I missed the chance of making any good changes to my team, having Trippier, Taylor and Solanke on my bench while Kabore is left on the pitch, along with Branthwaite in a GW I’m expecting Son to score with either a brace or at least get a goal and 2 assist. He ought yo have got my captaincy instead of M. Salah for the game week as Liverpool wouldn’t be finding any easy game with Arsenal.

Watkins for a captain, well, it’s wasn’t an out of place option for a home side game and against a team like Sheffield but, I’m sure it’s a regrettable option right now.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 22, 2023, 11:38:04 PM
Am just glad I didn’t get to take that game for a live bet because I nearly did. Just how did these guys after about 85 minutes of game play came with no goals on the score sheet came ip with 2 goals in less than 5 minutes. The goal market was something I was looking at for a bet but, I’m glad to have kept my cool though.

Something I liked about the game though, how the referee came to the right conclusion in his decision making. Especially in the Aston Villa first disallowed goal from Bailey. It would have been yet another VAR flaw should the goal had been allowed to say d as the goalkeeper was clearly withheld.
Sheffield had a good game I must say, coming up get a draw out of this dull.
