581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This was my highest risk. on: February 05, 2024, 10:48:43 PM
This is the highest risk I have ever taken on gamble.  :)Why I called this the highest risk was because if the remaining 2 games lose I will be the loser and not my friend, so that risk was very terrible but I just have to take the risk because I already have in mind that you can not win if you do not risk. But to cut long story short, I win the bet, this was like sharing the money equally with my friend.
So have you ever taken such a risk on gambe before?
I don’t very much agree that risk be taken in the way you did but, it’s not up to me yo decide and you already did make your evaluations based on, what was being offered for cash out and the games that were pending.

It takes great courage and some know how to take the risk that you took. I’m wondering though,
This seems like an online bet and not some actual paper printed or played bet in an outlet so, just how was this transfer of ownership done;
You had to wait until the game is all settled and then, your friend does process a withdrawal to your account or
You actually did exchange passwords or ownership of the account for the time being?

This could create real problems between you and your friend so, I don’t advise or encourage it but, if it’s good enough for you, then it’s really up to you.

The Liverpool-Luton game has been rescheduled to February 21st, which would put it in GW25.

Will be tough to navigate GW25 and GW26 without losing a lot of important chips - but it does seem like a GW in which you go all in for points.

Oh my bad. I need to stop relying solely on FPL's official site for all infos. That news makes GW25 even more interesting for me.

I think this is the perfect opportunity for the free hit chip. Other chips like TC and BB could come in handy as well. And yes, it's the GW I have been waiting. Looking to get the most out of the Double GW for sure.
Of course that news did pop up on the FPL site, at least that’s where I noted it although, it didn’t reflect on the fixtures as we might have hoped.
Still, am not quite sure what I would be doing with the Liverpool team. It’s not what it’s used to be or should I say, we don’t have M. Salah back just yet or are we expecting him on the team before that?
I don’t want to get Darwin in on my team but, he seems like the best choice when looking at Liverpool as it is.

On the GW23, I wasn’t so pleased with my captaincy option in Haaland, he managed an assist but, having to start a game like this one after his time out with injury, I hoped to see that fighting spirit to get goals but, it was Phil all game. It wasn’t a bad week but, can’t say I didn’t hope for a 30+ point from this week’s captaincy.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 05, 2024, 10:23:56 PM
I started watching the game when Manchester City was already down by a goal, 35 minutes in and I was wondering just how did Manchester City got into this position. One conviction was for sure though, Brentford wasn’t going to have the best of Manchester City, I could bet on that. It’s just how confident and determined Manchester City team is. The game changer came with that plus minutes goal from Phil Foden, coming into the second half and it was Phil Foden all over again.
Now that the injuries are all gone, we could find yet another terrifying team in Manchester City as always yet again.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: February 03, 2024, 01:00:39 PM
GW22 winner is Smartvirus, this time it was a tie between him and Jayce but he clinched it on better overall ranking. It was a really close one.
Did I? I see him at 82 points after the GW22 and his very much the winner @Jayce, it was a close one surely, trying to scale through with Bowen on my team as against Fernandes for Jayce but, Bowen got a yellow and nothing else while Fernandes had his time on the pitch and an assist to give Jayce the points to get ahead. I really thought Jayce would let me have this one but, it was a good one none the less. Congrats on between.
One of my bad decision over the week was having to give preference to Palmer as against Richarlison. Even as it is, Richarlison has a goal. Am hoping Palmer would do the same when Chelsea face off Wolves.

It’s GW23 guys, we at it again!
585  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 02, 2024, 11:40:38 PM
So now the question is bitcoin safe from hackers?, can it be stolen?
I suppose the OP already answers the question on either Bitcoin can be stolen or not. Hell yeah!

If it’s safe from hackers? Of course it is safe but, you ought to realize that the safety of an asset first starts with you, it also ends with you. While the tech remains air tight, the vacuums you give as an individual or as an organization is where the hackers also leverage to cause harm and steal your precious Bitcoin.

You’ll be sure to stick to privacy rules and every time, your coin would be in tact. Little wonder how so many wallets with lots of hodlings still remains unaffected or emptied even with this knowledge. It’s just your stands on security.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Psychology of Investing in Bitcoin on: February 02, 2024, 11:34:28 PM
To say the least, there happens to be a psychological side to taking up Bitcoin investment. Most of which is associated with the price action at certain times. It tends to hit you differently but, you get more comfortable on a stand over time. This is the reason why is easy to find hodlers whom having been hodling through the early ages of the innovation still hodling till date while, doing a little expenses in between for some. You could easily find this set of persons having to advice that people should keep hodling no matter the market situation because, time and history have taught them the need to know on Bitcoin and it’s price action.

At the moment, it’s both tech and profit but, we hope to see this changed where we might have to spend Bitcoin as it ought to be, using it for day to day transaction in a p2p system of exchange.
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 02, 2024, 07:37:55 PM
core devs have been funded by many corporations for years. DCG and others funded core devs from 2014+
why do you think most bitcoin code updates have not been to make bitcoin network use more easy, cheap, able. and instead be code exploits to annoy bitcoin network users in an aim to push people into using other middlemen required services and subnetworks
I think this might just be the eye opener to what’s been the case and what’s likely to be the interest in the event of this development for a likely possibility. I have never really take a peep in this but, it’s unlikely that anything would be done without some interest and with the banks and other corporations looking to benefit from the trend that have continued over the years and keeps getting bigger and bigger, this be a huge window of opportunity for them to drop a taproot and milk the system.

More so, this is coming in a time when Bitcoin is expected to doing some numbers. It’s just some means to utilize presented opportunities.
588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 02, 2024, 07:24:58 PM

Simon have been the most active player for Nigeria, he has really played his role. I am disappointed with Zaidu and Iwobi who I see as the weakest links in this Nigerian team. Nigeria lead by just a goal which is not safe, we need another goal in this game to feel safe because Angola are still in the game and can change things in a split second. Osimhen playing well but not as active as he was against Cameroon. Lookman remains our best finisher so far. It will be big if Nigeria make it through.
Zaidu could be said to have disappointed most of us and I say that because, he had a good head start in a ball, similar to what Moses Simon had with Osimhen well positioned to receive a pass and take the shot on goal but, Zaidu rather chose to be selfish and played the ball off target.
Iwobi on the other hand, I can’t say I have been impressed by him in other games but today, with the way he managed the midfield, distributing passes, I enjoyed his game play. Very little mistakes came from him in today’s fixtures.
Osimhen is someone that I remain hopeful to always create something spectacular but, it’s often amazes me how a striker of his quality isn’t getting goals on a regular run this fixture. He ought to be netting these balls. I get the fact that, he’s got defenses built about him but, he also gets those chances too and isn’t making good use of them.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 02, 2024, 06:22:06 PM
Nigeria are playing to expectation with a very high spirit in this game unlike how we have seen Angola held other teams they had played against in this AFCON to a stand still it is different with in this game against Nigeria. Like you said, the Nigeria defence is good nothing giving the Angola's forwards to see a space to trouble the goal post with shots. Right now Nigeria is leading with a one goal and we hope they be able to secure or get more goals as they come back to the second half.
Both sides have been good but, Nigeria has been exceptional in this particular fixtures compared to all the games they’ve played in the AFCON so far. It’s not just entertaining but, seeing how both sides keeps going forward and how the Nigerian defense intercept the ball at every given advance at goal shows the level of determination they came with in this square fixture of the tournament.
Alex Iwobi have been maned the mid field so dominantly and what a great pass he delivered to Moses Simone who made the move to create that goal opportunity for Lookman, Nigeria has just best there game in this quarter finals, no question.
590  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Who has tried buying via Bank on: February 01, 2024, 11:56:17 PM
So would like to ask has anybody tried buying via bank?
If so how was the experience compare to P2P?

Hearing about Social engineering has affirmed my decision not to share my number via P2P.
Banks no get Bitcoin, at least them no Dey claim say them get am, neither have any bank come out publicly to say, them Dey sell and buy Bitcoin. That go mean a betrayal to the fiat currency which they sort to preserve, the central bank and them product way be the fiat currency.
If you see person way talk say e buy Bitcoin via bank, it’s either the person Dey lie or e no know watin e Dey talk ad that go be a big misconception. I no know for nations way don legalize Bitcoin shah.

The best you fit do na p2p normal of which, you go exchange Bitcoin with fiat and at other times, you fit still deal am with altcoins.
When you buy Bitcoin with fiat, even with you transferring the money from your bank or mobile app, e no mean say you buy from bank o, e simply means say, you pay for service, product or even just transfer money to person via whatever and that’s all.
In these practices, on me thing you need to Dey avoid na to write every every for narration, that na bad idea.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 01, 2024, 11:48:15 PM
I remember one time I lost a huge sum of money to betting, I felt so bad that I thought of killing myself  Grin.

So, let's share our worst gambling experiences, have you ever hated yourself so much due to lack of winnings in gambling? To what extent, and how did it end?

Do you still hate yourself even now?  Grin
There are always these moments,
Moments that you wish you didn’t have to go with your guts over an old or a roll and what ever form of gambling you engage in. In all, it haven’t summed up to the point that I felt like killing myself. Just regrets and wishing I didn’t get to gamble in that moment but, it ain’t the case now.

Before I even make a stake, I get to accept the worst possibility, knowing that I could live with it rather easily than have a disturbed mind and so, I come to the conclusion on either I should play or leave it be. I think what have saved me more from gambling over the years is how I’ve come to accept the outcome and isn’t entirely after what I stand to benefit from gambling. Of course it’s a hope that you win but, it doesn’t matter if I loss too.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 01, 2024, 11:38:27 PM
Wolves is being an the team who don't want to lost easilly today because in the second half Wolves almost be succesful to equalized the scores and the match almost be ended to draw but luckily Mainoo is became an the hero of Manchester United because his goal at the injury time of second half has been bringing Manchester United to beat Wolves and collect 3 points from this match and this also being an Wolves first defeat at home in Premier League since September last year
It’s not a case of them actually trying to equalize, they actually did equalized 3:3 but, they just weren’t able to hold it. I thought that would have been the easiest thing to do for Wolves at that time, a team that have got a very good defense and this fair well against big teams but, they made such a defensive error in allowing Manchester United to create something around there goalkeepers box with just few minutes on the clock.

Part of what went wrong was Lamina going the wrong direction in his bid to over the youngster thereby, creating a huge chance and sight at goal for Mainoo to take a shot on goal.
It was an interesting game for sure and an even more intriguing game for Mainoo to have his first goal for Manchester United.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 01, 2024, 11:09:37 PM

Poor game management, should have brought in these defenders to hood down the game when Manchester United was already leading with three goals to one.
Andrea Onana has no shame, he can't be the last hope to rely on Manchester United should do whatever they want with him, I defended the fraud for too long.
Lol,,, the once revered Onana back in the Italian league, EPL could really make a mess of the unprepared.

Still, I wouldn’t say it was poor game management on how Ten Hag played today. Bringing in Maguire and Eavns way too early would have put the team under lots of pressure and who knows, they just would t have been able to hold with the way Wolves was carrying.
Ten Hag was really confident in his players but, you could see that feat creeping in once the second goal was scored for Wolves.

Manchester United’s over confidence in going all out cost them a third goal and could have cost them to share points. Fortunately, Mainoo came through just in time.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: January 31, 2024, 11:47:20 PM
Chelsea team needs a total change in their performance, it's very very shameful and disappointing to see a team that has a good pedigree continue to suffer a set back every season all in the name of the quality of the players that are not in the team right. The game has already ended with Liverpool winning 4:1. For the Liverpool game, they continue to get the win then they can't go down for a any thing hence they Keep winning games . Currently people expect Liverpool to remain as the league leaders but their performance will prove if they want  to win.
It’s just so bad, that bad! Initially, I felt Chelsea would pose much of a challenge but no, they couldn’t come up with anything great. The only time we saw Chelsea trying to posses the ball and come up with a performance was when they were already down by 3 goals. Like, what do you even need that for, you need to be going toward and get the goals.
Like, Mudryk was right there in front of goal, had all the time and space to get his ball on target but instead, he leaned backwards and set his aim to the sky. That was Chelsea been 2 goals down already.

It’s just unacceptable how the team are playing, they don’t play like professionals. I could watch a Sheffield United game and be well entertained than what am having Chelsea play.
595  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: January 31, 2024, 11:26:25 PM
Leaders remains an integral part of our societal development in a civilized world. It’s one way to ensure organization and coordination of resources for the popular collective interest of a people. It’s what has pushed the world to where we find it today, different from a time of savagery living.
That’s why, even within the smallest unit of the family, we’ve got a leader.

Good leaders could as well lead to a prosperous state or nation while, you could expect the reverse in a place where you’ve got bad leaders, leaders who remains self centered and sufficient.
It’s gravely exemplified in many nations respectively. It’s easier to follow and so, should a leader choose to better the life of his or her people, you would easily find the citizens following and the change of things for the better.
596  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Almost made a bad investment decision today 🥺🥺 on: January 31, 2024, 11:19:49 PM
with this conciousness I decided to do a little research and analysis, I found out that the coin is on a massive decline with a strong double top pattern heading towards the neckline ,which is a strong indication of a future down side move. So in cause of this experience, I learnt a very important lesson , always do an in-depth research and analysis before committing funds to an investment decision.
Just what I wanted to see,
How you came to that conclusion on the coin not being a suitable choice for investment and laid it out in the way that makes sense to you. Using the usual trading analysis on the charts to predict what could be and with what’s been altcoins nature, it’s often difficult to push back once it dumps drastically.

In most cases, people confuse the price (looking at how many they could get for the least $) to be some way to invest positively but it’s not. Some coins are just out there to enrich a few early birds and the team behind the project that’s all.
Before you take up some altcoin investment, you should have an idea of what the coin is out to do in the cryptospace, those behind the coin, what blockchain it’s built on, prospective exchanges and more of those. It aids you to make better decisions than just jumping on the price.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 11:11:11 PM
Chelsea goalkeeper is always coming out from his post and Liverpool saw it as an advantage. The second goal that Liverpool scored was based on the fact that Petrovic left his post and before he could go back to balance himself, Bradley had already place the ball in the open space of the left side of the post. Badiashile is on laxity on his wing and Diaz is always putting him on the run because he cannot run. His performance is very poor tonight. The second half has just began and let's see if the substitutes will turn the game around. It would have been - 0 by now but Nunez missed a penalty.
Yeah Chelsea goalkeeper is always fund of doing that without knowing that Liverpool player will utilize the opportunity, however this match between Liverpool and Chelsea is one of the most interesting match today
We might just have a different definition of what an interesting match could be as in today’s match, it was just Liverpool playing, I didn’t see Chelsea doing much to make Liverpool work.

The one goalkeeper that was just out of his post every time was Becker. Like, he even came right close to the midfield at times and what did Chelsea players do about that, absolutely nothing, just nothing. You could imagine Sterling in the second half coming quite close to what could have been a one on one but, he chose not to be stingy while he ought to have gone forward with the ball. He dropped a back pass and the ball was lost.

There was something a little unsettling for me though, the Chelsea denied penalty on Gallagher was it,
Wasn’t that enough contact to have made the referee give that shoot in that moment? Like this was an on goal opportunity and I think with that much knees out and the momentum Gallagher was on, his got to go to the ground.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 09:46:07 PM
2-0 ahead of Chelsea at the moment is certainly fine - but Chelsea are also dangerous with all their players' abilities. I hope Klopp can instruct his players to finish the match with a clean sheet - that would be a good record for Liverpool.
I would have liked to see Chelsea as a dangerous team but, from the play they’ve had so far, they could be said to be anything but dangerous. What I see is just a team with complete lack of confidence. In the first half, the whole game was played in there halve of the pitch and when you come to the second half, they found a bit of energy to go forward but, still a team in disarray.
The one player that seems to be getting his steps just right remains Chelsea. He might just be the best player for Chelsea in recent times.
It’s 3 goals now, Liverpool still leading and Chelsea aren’t looking like a team that could manage a consolation goal in today’s match day live. I’ll like to see Palmer on the scoresheet but, his being more of a defensive midfielder today for my liking.

Edit: C. Nkunku just bet one for Chelsea. It’s Liverpool 3:1 Chelsea with 20minutes in the clock.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 11:51:54 PM
Luton is a weak team but they have the ability to fight, If you check their match history then you will see they always score goals no matter who the opponent is there is always a goal. Luton once beat Newcastle and drew against Liverpool so it's not surprising if they can win when playing at home, what surprised me was that Brighton was not able to score a single goal, even though Brighton needs more points to be able to take a place in European competitions.
You would fight when your around the relegation zone and most of all, you would fight when your at home and have got the home support with you. I was surprised at how Luton did handle today’s game, getting 2 early goals and still going ahead to score more goals while keeping a clean sheet.

The game I was impressed with non the less is the Crystal Palace 3:2 Sheffield United game. It was an interesting watch for sure, with Crystal Palace coming from behind after conceding an early goal, they came up to find not just an equalizer but the win.

It tells you the sort of quality these guys were lacking with J. Ayew and M. Oliseh back to the squad, even better still, to join up with Eze that have been holding things together. It was a nice one for them and they’ve got all 3 points to show for there efforts.
600  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: This not the right time to focus on trading on: January 30, 2024, 11:21:14 PM
We all know that is just few months ahead before the upcoming bitcoin halving. And we all know that after or during the halving bitcoin going to undergo a great surge in price. (The next bullish market). But still most people still focusing in trading a certain high percent of their funds while they should be focusing on Holding and using the  DCA strategies.
You don’t trade with or on uncertainties, you trade based on what you perceive to be certain and that is mainly due to what you’ve observed in the charts, your analysis and what the various employed indicators tell you.
Should you have knowledge of the halving and what it could bring, then that’s something to leverage to your advantage. That being, if you know what you’re doing but, you need some practical analysis to get you into that market and not trade based on hunches and what you think could be.

Even so, it’s not a bad idea to hodl should you sense danger in your trading. Your still sure to profit in the end but, it wouldn’t be same with trading as, trading could either leave you with more coins that you can hodl alongside trading or your loss some to the market.
