581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 02, 2024, 08:13:26 PM
This correct interpretation.
Alright then. I personally would not be interested in this sort of arrangements. I consider gambling to be fun and not an investment and anyone who is interested in being sponsored to gamble takes it a little too seriously.

Some others may be interested, if there is a clear indication that they bear no risk, this can be done through using an escrow, but that will still require you to move the bitcoins you did not want to move in the first place. If you can provide that assurance, you may find willing players.
I will not also involve myself in something like this. If it is gambling, their is definitely risks involved which may later not favour the investors. The topic link that OP put in the opening post is talking about gambling sites bankroll which is about someone to invest on gambling site bankroll just like investing on a gambling site. If gamblers are losing, the investors are gaining. And we know that gamblers are losing than they are gaining. That makes that kind of investment to be good, unlike this one.

There aren't many casinos that do it anymore... Most casinos I knew, shut their operations down in the past. The only one that comes very close is freebitco.in but they give you flat 4% compounding annual interest instead of sharing the casino profits. That is still quite nice and freebitcoin has been around nearly a decade so they are as trustworthy as a business can get. As far as I know there is no other way to make 4% or more for your btc in a passive way. You can get more than 10% passive annual return on your USDT at binance but that's a FIAT investment.
I will prefer to leave my coin on a self custody wallet that I know I have my control than to invest my coin on a centralized platform that can go away with my money. The way bitcoin will increase, it can give me the 4% interest in just a small amount of time. There is not going to be anything better than hold than to invest in this type of investment.
583  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for February on: February 02, 2024, 12:26:47 PM
Thankfully, all that I see on the chart now supports this claim, the bullish price action is seen on the daily chart and weekly chart, while the monthly chart shows a continued bullish launch, which are all signalling to a bullish bias. As it is, the FOMO might soon return to the market as the FUD is subsiding, so I am so much positive about Bitcoin this month, and who knows, it could hit $50,000 before the end of the month.
All that I am seeing on the daily chart is that the market could fall or rise. If it rise it is not going to be more than $45000. If it goes more than than do not expect it to go above $46000. On the monthly chart the market looks like it can fall more but that could be what will not happen. If bitcoin will rise in February it will not rise more than $46000 if it struggles to go above $45000. Bitcoin to go above $50000 can happen but not in February.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 02:30:23 PM
-snip-
What other proverbs or sayings could potentially act as triggers, enticing individuals to initiate or perpetuate their gambling activities?
Your story is funny, so without gambling, they can't know their luck gauge? That is unthinkable to me. I am sure that they will be disappointed if the most fortunate person among them is the most unlucky in gambling. What they are trying to get doesn't just correlate to gambling or how to know the luck fate of a person, they should rather focus on what is important and shun a myth like this.
If someone see this proverb and went to a gambling site or land based casino to gamble, the person will realize what gambling is. This proverb might make the gamblers think they can hit the number and win huge but noticing that they are gambling and losing more  Grin. The proverb would have been complete if using small amount of money to gamble is included. Also including just an amount that you can afford losing. Gambling should not be what should be done risking your money on because it is a tempting foolishness. Just use small amount of money and have the fun. Someone that will follow this proverb may become poor from rich.

Taking risk is the thing, everything in life requires you to take risk before getting the big bag.It is only risk takers that are successful, while those who are afraid to take risk should be ready to live the life of the unsuccessful.
Taking risk in some spect of life is stupidity, example is in gambling. Taking risk in gambling is stupidity. Let me say I have $1000 income every week, I can use 1% to gamble which is $10 and I will keep $990. Am I taking risk? No. Why? Because I can afford to lose $10 from the $1000 that I have. That is how gambling should be.
Bro, you are wrong. You are using a different school of thought which doesn't relate at all with this subject matter. A risk is a risk, whether big or small, or whether you can afford to lose it or not. So long as it is not what you are certain about that you are betting for, you are taking a risk, my brother. Affordability doesn't eliminate risk, you are only reasonable, calculative and managerial in that regard of limiting the risk, which is also what is advised for those who want to be a responsible gambler.
No, you are the one that is absolutely wrong. If I earn $1000 and use $10 to gamble, that is not risk. This is an amount of money that I can give someone and forget that I gave it to someone. That is not risk but I just want to have fun. That is just 1% of the amount that I am earning. If you are talking about risk, you should talk about something that is importantly earning you money, like the risk you take to earn money from your business, or the risk you take to invest on an bitcoin and other commodities. If you are not planing to earn from something and using such low amount of money to enjoy yourself to have fun, that is not risk. Know that this is a gambling section, why are people talking about risk in gambling? That is bad and nearly all people that are looking for money through gambling lose more than win.

588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there Casinos that offer Birthday Bonuses to their users? on: February 01, 2024, 10:25:26 AM
Unless it's a physical casino, I wouldn't mind it but so far, I haven't seen any online casinos that are a giving that kind of bonus because birthdays are a personal info if I recall and I don't think that it's a really good idea that they know about that kind of information right? Maybe if they do KYC but I don't think that they'll ever care about that kind of bonuses anyway maybe you'd get some sort of bonus spin or gambling credit but that's not going to help you in increasing your chances of winning.
Gambling sites can easily know your date of birth unless it is not a KYC gambling site. If it is a KYC gambling site, your data of birth can easily be known from the documents like Driver's license, National identity card or international passport that you provided the gambling site.

I do not know of land based casinos because many people may not be verified and be gambling. It depends on the country though.

But generally speaking, casinos have other ways to attract customers and I have not seen this as one of their options.

You are right, but this is when you are talking about business and not gambling. Gambling is not worth something to take risk.
590  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 100USDT for three weeks. 15% interest on: January 31, 2024, 03:23:32 PM
Are you out of your mind or what? You registered to ask for loan and you think someone will borrow you just like that? No one can borrow you the loan because you have no collateral and you are not in a signature campaign.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revision of High transaction fee in bitcoin. on: January 31, 2024, 01:08:01 PM
They can start as small as possible, just buy Bitcoin in centralized exchange, you will not pay transactions fees as you only pay the trading fees. Yeah I know it's bad to hold your money in CEX since it prone to many issues including bankruptcy.

But that's the only way for small holder.
Small holders can use lightning network. You can get those lightning network apps that already set up a channel for you. There are many of them that have good reputation. You do not have to use one of them, you can use three or more of them. Exchanges have total control of your coins and the exchange can be hacked. Also the exchange wallet may be under maintenance and in a way you will not be able to use your coin when you supposed to use it.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: January 31, 2024, 10:03:25 AM
Spreading the word about these scammy tricks in the gambling scene is important. Newbies might not see the signs so having a heads-up on the common scams could save them from a bad bet. This forum keeps each other informed and steer clear of those shady setups
The newbies is also doing something that is wrong. We should say no to fixed matches, but the newbie will be greedy and send money to a scam gambling site. The newbie wants to take part in something that is not legal which is fixed match. There is nothing like fixed match,  all those said by people are just scam. We can not know if truly a match is fixed or not despite that there are some matches that are fixed but a gambler should not have the mentality that a match is fixed.

Do I have to download bitcoin-26.0.[torrent]  on the my phone??
It is a torrent file for Bitcoin Core. Bitcoin Core is a full node wallet. It has nothing to do with your account on this forum.

Anytime you see that, just do not worry about it at all.

The transaction txid: 74e7e79dbf547a2ddda65ff078f7fb332dccd71a940365904aa319c1e4390734

I created 2-of-2 multisig

I first signed it on my first device and I transferred the partially signed testnet bitcoin transaction to the second device after I clicked on tools and clicked on load transaction. I used QR code for it.

I signed it also on the second device and broadcast it.
595  Other / Off-topic / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 11:57:31 AM
This seems true, but such reasoning is closer to demagoguery than to anything reasonable. This can be viewed from the opposite point of view: if you do not take risks, then you will definitely not lose your money. What is better: the opportunity to win or the guarantee not to lose? These are subjective questions and in each case they have a different solution since people are individual and are in different conditions.
I do not see it to be true. Or we can say that it is true theoretically but when it comes to practically, it is not true because gambling sites win than gamblers. This is how it would happen, the gambler will think he can use higher amount of money to gamble to win more, but forgetting that he can also lose the money. Before the gambler knows, he is losing than winning.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship Between Cryptocurrency and Traditional Banking on: January 30, 2024, 11:16:31 AM
Well, I will honestly say that crypto currencies and traditional banking are destined for a happily ever after, this is because  I personally believe that crypto and banks can easily co-exist, I do not think that bitcoin or crypto currencies are standing in the way of the banks, no no, banks believing this is simply out of fear and jealousy.
If you have gold, you can take it to bank for save keeping. Other small valuable assets can be taken to bank. Why is cryptocurrencies different to banks? They are assets too and banks should look for ways to make it a business and to use it for profit-making purposes. We should not be!comparing cryptocurrencies and banks because exchanges is what that should be compared with banks while cryptocurrencies should only be compared with fiat.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 30, 2024, 10:28:55 AM
If you are watching a sports match and then you and your friends are taking the opposite teams and whoever loses will pay the lunch, that's probably not gambling.
If two people bet and the loser will pay for launch, that is fun but it is gambling. This is how gambling should be. It should not be a way to look for money but to bet for fun. This is gambling that you explained and not the other way around.

I don't think it's gambling, because it involves one person.
It's different if you're watching a match with friends, then both people eat together and agree that the loser will pay for the food from the person who wins too, that's a gambling activity even if you don't give money directly.
Like I said, it is gambling. Food is something that has value and you pay money to get the food. That makes it gambling. If no money is involved, it is not gambling. In this case, food is the money and it is gambling.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When it comes to selling , is it best to convert or sell for cheaper fees? on: January 30, 2024, 10:06:20 AM
Dealing with altcoins is risky because they are highly volatile. You can see the profit and use it to buy the other altcoins if you have no money to spare for it.

I will prefer bitcoin for its less volatile nature.
599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was Bitcoin ETF really a good thing for growth of crypto and Bitcoin prices? on: January 29, 2024, 04:04:46 PM
As the marketcap of an asset is getting higher, the lower will be the asset's price volatility. Bitcoin was having a marketcap of almost or over $900 billion before its spot ETF was approved by the United States. I am saying without the ETF, the price of bitcoin was not volatile like that of altcoins, but that does not mean it will not get above $100000 to $150000. Still see bitcoin as a volatile asset but less volatile.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval was a FOMO movement on: January 29, 2024, 10:34:35 AM
Selling isn't done during a FOMO. FOMO is used to refer to buying.
You are not totally correct. You are correct because he posted this:

Quote
Bitcoin ETF Approval was a FOMO movement

Bitcoin ETF Approval was a FOMO movement means people fear of missing out and that means they are buying and the price of bitcoin suppose to rise.

But you are wrong because some people can fomo and buy at high price while a coin begin to fall in price as more people are selling.
