going on exchage is the second step, the FIRST step is that we need some new funtion or new selling point integrated into the BPC wallet.Otherwise, going on the exchange is no good for a new crypto currency.

Fair enough... what function did you have in mind?

Several people have suggested, probably rightly, that we need "something". Any ideas on what that "something" happens to be?

Wallet does not work

It works, or if not you need a config file... BitpopCoin.conf

debug.log  -  trying connection 108.61.72.49:45438 lastseen=143.0hrs
connection timeout

If you are having trouble you need to create a bitpopcoin.conf file including the lines:
addnode=node.bitpopcoin.com
addnode=node2.bitpopcoin.com
addnode=altpooler.com:19013

Edit: Let me know if you need more info on where to put the file

Important development, Coins Source's news release on "Phase 2"

Congrats Smiley

Unfortunate typo in article:

In anticipation of SuperCoin’s phase 2, the markets reacted very violently yesterday (June 13th, 2014) and SuperCoin saw ...
Of course it should read July 13th.

BitpopCoin added to #voting list on @AskCoinNet #Exchange https://AskCoin.Net/votes . Please, vote for #BPC #cryptocoin to win.

Not a lot of activity here yet - you just need to set up an account (a painless minute-long process, at most) and click on "vote" once logged in.

How about we show a bit more support for our hero-member dev and vote like he asked us to?

Still no response on the Mac wallet eh?

Tell you what, I'll bump the offered bounty to 250 BPC.

I'll make the wallet tomorrow  Smiley

Appreciate it Smiley

Don't forget to post your payment address when you upload. Oh, and I'm from the land down-under and usually not available before about midday my time so please bear that in mind waiting for a response Wink

Personally I think what it missing is a development roadmap and some features that will raise the interest of the market. On its own I think this is a solid coin. No premine, no IPO, hero member, etc. You've passed the first hurdle in that I doubt people are going to call this a scam. Ok, now what? What's the goal? I don't think just having a solid coin is enough in the market. Look at the recent coins that have made waves on Bittrex. Most had some features of one type or another, like anonymity for example. Personally I feel this coin needs a goal or a direction and some additional features to really thrive in the markets. If I were a developer I would offer up some help in a flash.

My $.02

Well, our hero developer has said this is the community's coin, so what feature(s) do you particularly want to see in this coin?

So far it has been rock-solid with a silky-smooth launch but perhaps it does need something shiny or tactile to gain attention.

Perhaps Bitpop might like to offer a suggestion of something he feels confident could be bolted on with a minimum of fuss/effort?

That said it's still up to the community (if one is to develop around this coin). What do you really want to see in BitpopCoin?

No Mac developers around?

Just a reminder I've boosted the Mac wallet bounty to 250 BPC

@Bitpop, can you update the OP to that effect please?

Nice to have a little company here at last Smiley

Could use some more workers though as we're still outweighed by 4:1 by altpooler Sad

so come on over, the hashing's fine Grin

What is not broad is our hashrate distribution.

How about a few workers wander over from altpooler to minerpools?

I will go there today, ok?

Good for you! And good for BPC too Smiley

G'day from the land-down-under.

It's a very broad community (at least geographically) Grin
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BPC] BitpopCoin | X11 PoS 7% | Hero Member Dev | No IPO/Premine | Ninja Launch on: July 11, 2014, 03:06:59 PM
Hmm... might be a problem. minerpools seems to be stuck on block 855 while the current block is 868.

Nope, just front-end not updating properly for a bit
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BPC] BitpopCoin | X11 PoS 7% | Hero Member Dev | No IPO/Premine | Ninja Launch on: July 11, 2014, 02:48:57 PM
So much for people allegedly being worried about 51% attacks, with 55% hash at altpooler. How about a few workers join minerpools for a while to spread the hash?
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BPC] BitpopCoin | X11 PoS 7% | Hero Member Dev | No IPO/Premine | Ninja Launch on: July 11, 2014, 02:33:14 PM
Hash still quite concentrated. Any chance of a few more workers on minerpools: http://bpc.minerpools.com/

This was a fair launch. Still to this day I only own 1000 bpc while miners have 250k!

This is a community coin, I invite you to volunteer for tasks or put up your own bounties. Post and I'll add to op.

I think we need dedicatedpool, supernova, and pool.mn. These pool are the biggest, and lot of people will know the coin?

I can send a PM them if you want!

Sure if you see fit. I have added you to op

We have no bounties currently so people will be hesitant

Hey thank you for change OP header Smiley

I think lot of miner will come.

Okay first of all: I give a 100 BPC bounty for a block explorer. Ok?

I'll toss in 100BPC for a Mac wallet.
