It is a web app, meaning, all you need is nocks.nl but if you want to 'install' it as an icon on your homescreen you can follow the steps as described on that page.

I figured people knew how to use it so it wouldn't require any English instruction, but we can make the website in English for you guys. It is exactly as you all said. Worldwide. This also works on mobile in combination with the Guldenwallet and the app linked on this page www.nocks.nl/app and how to get Nocks to be displayed on your phone as an app Smiley

I'll translate the website tonight for everyone. Me and Patrick (and BioMike also had a hand in this), worked very hard on it. We're pleased everyone's so thrilled.

Hi, congrats with the nice project. Unfortunately, when following the steps on https://nocks.nl/app. I never come somewhere where I can download the app. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

App download works fine, for which platform you are trying to download.

If you want you can PM me in Dutch or ask on the Dutch forums to explain what you mean. I think you mean how to add Nocks to your phone as an app? Not the QR scanner, but not sure.

That means also buying food with Guldencoin at thuisbezorgd.nl.  Cool

Maybe put a input textbox on the nockspage to add where people order something.

When more people pay with nocks and Guldencoin then Bitcoin actually at f.e. thuisbezorgd.nl, then thuisbezorgd.nl does not know that by themselves, but you can show statistics, why the increase of btc transactions at their store.

Take a photo when you're ordering and tweet that out mentioning Nocks and the place you're buying from Smiley

Haha, happens all the time. It's sad, really sad. I recommend everyone simply signing up at guldencoinforum.com. Healthy discussion without trolls.

Actually gave away two clues, one is obvious. The other is not, bit it is there and for another app entirely. Grin

Haha yeah, I've seen people write things like 'no real world use' and 'shit country based coin' about Guldencoin. Apparently not having a bootstrap monstrosity of a website while moving towards 100 merchants, having actual working mobile apps, real users and an active 'official' forum and not being dependent of Bitcointalk is not people's idea of working on something awesome Wink

Have you guys seen this yet? http://twitter.com/nocksapp

Also, me and community member Dennis (his username on the Guldencoinforum.com) have been discussing a media plan with a very cool Dutch company (won't name yet until we present the plan). So we're about to move forward with promotion on a larger scale. And I am also involved with a lot of development of more real world use tools and apps for anyone to use Smiley Something to watch out for, for sure.

The tools won't just set NLG apart from a lot of others, we can also work together with the proper and widely used currencies a lot better without making users jump through a lot of hoops. Making Guldencoin one of the most usable and user-friendly digital currencies around without isolating itself. Multi-purpose, for anyone to see the benefit in any way they see fit. Whether it be buying and/or saving it for future purposes, mining for profit and/or contribution, daily use, paying friends, playing games, trading or the entrepreneurial opportunities to make money and most of all, to change society.

I think a lot of people in the community have stepped up and started to #dowork and I appreciate you all. Let's keep it moving Cheesy

Yes the Sterlingcoin developers' multipool Cystum runs on a different kind of profit. The way I see it, if some big hash goes towards that pool (can be X11 or SHA or Scrypt, which most of us can mine here I think) and payout in NLG you have an effect on price which makes it profitable to more miners. Now if we lose the price due to a 'dump' the profitability goes, but it will also go for pools like CM. It's more or less a solution to becoming bigger by attracting bigger miners without having to invest a lot of cash by a small group of people to keep investing in major hashes.

For example if I can get the payout of NLG to go up with the collective mining by using the Cystum pool, regardless of me pointing the hashes at the NLG chain that is good. Now, if NLG is the most profitable coin and we're paying out in NLG then Cystum will mine NLG and straightup payout NLG to the miners that mine Scrypt and pay out in NLG (minus a standard poolfee of course).

So you either help make it more profitable for smaller miners or more miners or you sustain the chain with more hashes through a system that takes the hassle out of having to check what coin you need to mine or if it's profitable at all to mine NLG right now or not.

I think that's a good way of combatting stuff like the CM issue αnd helping NLG both with price stability and increased hashrate as it's either buying coins from the market to pay you as a miner or you mine NLG through the pool. Very cool opportunity for us and I am very happy that Matt and Spencer and Steven finally got that pool done. At least it's worth a shot Smiley

My humble 2 cents on this delisting talk Smiley   Believe me, I'm first in line to cut the mobster multipools off of NLG, but Bittrex currently provides some much needed liquidity for NLG..  Some examples.. litebit utilizes Bittrex to exchange NLG for BTC.. see https://explorer.guldencoin.com/#/address/GZxv6W747MWN2X2vBJJwDxdSd2NdFSrumu  over 61 million NLG sent/received..   If someone buys a sandwich at subway and the store owner has decided to immediately convert to fiat to pay his rent/suppliers/employees, that has to be converted to Euro and there has to be way for him/her to do that.  I'm assuming that takes place NLG->BTC->EURO for now.  NLG->BTC part takes place on Bittrex? BTC->EURO via BTC/EURO exchanges?  Sure down the road a liquid NLG/EUR would be fantastic.  But that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

On the other hand... try to keep it delisted. Other users will be asking for listing it again.

I'm not trying to be argumentative.. from my (perhaps naive) perspective there is both good and bad associated with being listed on Bittrex..  please don't take my input as anything other than trying have a discussion to develop a better understanding..

There is no reason to not switch their services over to a new exchange, as long as the volume is high enough on the new exchange. Shouldn't make much of a difference, there will always be people selling, but probably at a higher price then NLG is being sold right now. We don't need to be removed from any exchange, just have an exchange with a better end-goal for NLG usage-wise and get all the tools to register there. Such as Guldenbuy, Litebit, Paysafegulden, Guldenpay, price tickers, apps and other stuff. It's about becoming more independent. If something happens to Bleu or Swisscex, Comkort or Bittrex, we have a very cool backup we can call our own Smiley

Well, we'd need some kind of fiat on it at some point to make the transition for new users.

Building an exchange isn't the hard part though, it's getting the right paperwork to not get shot the fuck down. It will take a partnering with someone with the proper licensing (read bank, insurance agency, private bankers or financers) or if someone without licensing wants to or needs to do it would take at least 6 months to get the right paperwork and licensing. And then it's uncertain if it would get approved.

However, we do really need a EUR/NLG exchange, regulated, fair, transparent. I've been toying with the idea for a while, but the real obstacle would be the right papers and partner. I know a few people in private banking that could do this both with the backing of EUR aspect and having the proper financial licenses, but I rather have someone else picks this up as it would require 110% effort and focus.

Now, we could step out of the Dutch laws by going through some sort of deal with the Swiss and a Swiss bank. Pairing NLG to CHF. Which would be very prestigious and lucrative for everyone.

I completely agree! But for our own BTC/NLG exchange we don't need any regulatory papers do we?

I wouldn't bet on it, but we can certainly just dive into the ruling on it to make sure. If we comply with it we can then look into moving towards the EUR or other pairing we want when we have proof of concept.

Great to see all this progress guys!  Loved the interview with buerra, Awesome!!
I tipped buerra a good ammount of Digibyte to donate that to the collective mining and you can keep those mined NLG / give them to the collective miners.
And with the rise of *** i will donate some more today  Grin
Soon i will be back for something i'm working on / thinking about.

Enjoy!

Michael
House of blue jeans

Much appreciated Michael, I will convert them shortly and add it onto the mining pile Smiley I think everyone can agree that is very nice of you. Sure you don't want in for 0.1 BTC Wink?

Collective Mining numero dos: https://forum.guldencoin.com/index.php?topic=829.0

English folks if you have any questions or want to jump in on the collective mining, feel free to ask me anything.

What is collective mining compared to just mining??

We combine resources to get a more stable rate going rather than a bunch of us on the chain at random times trying to support the network. This is also a way to get people into mining that normally don't mine. People wire me the BTC (and near future EUR) and I take care of it.

There you go, that's cool. If you can make that happen that would be really sweet! Let's switch back to English Smiley
