581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 21, 2023, 03:52:26 PM

Arsenal are not enlisted as the best team in UEFA Champions League, remember they have not feature in the Champions league for a long time and watching them bouncing back to actions doesn't surprise me. Arsenal cannot bark as a confident EPL club, rather they do fumbled like an any other EPL club just like Newcastle United and Manchester United.
Currently based on performance in both their domestic League, and the four matches they have played in the Champions League so far, they are not among the best, but cannot be looked down on because they have the hope of winning any team presently in the Champions League because they have the squad to play and win against any big team in the world right mow.

I know that experience matters in Champions League that is why I am directly saying that Arsenal are capable of winning the Champions League, but based on their performance since last season, they will try and they will go far in the Champions League this season.

Saturday star matches: 1. Manchester City Vs Arsenal 2. Newcastle Vs Chelsea
I think you mean Manchester City vs Liverpool here not Arsenal right?

I do not understand why I always find international breaks boring such that I do not even watch the matches. Whenever there's break, I always pray for the coming weeks to approach in order to witness league weeks. As we are about to witness another exciting EPL week, let's hear your stake about the above matches.

The international week is always boring mate, because most players do not come back with strong fitness due to injuries. I don't know why International matches are coming with much injuries this days, and this injuries is something we fans don't like at all because it reduces the entertainment we are suppose to have in the League matches.

I think that Chelsea will be able to win Newcastle since Chelsea performance is advancing positively especially after the draw with Manchester City. In the other hand, majority of Newcastle players are still injured.
Chelsea is suppose to end their winless games against Newcastle United this time, because the last two matches they played, Newcastle drew Chelsea in all the two matches, now that Chelsea is recovering, I expect them to be able to win Newcastle United because they don't have any excuse to lose the match against Newcastle on Saturday.

Manchester City might not be able to win Liverpool, yes I said so.
Hmm, I thought as much too because Liverpool is stronger than Manchester City without Debroyn and Haaland.

If Arsenal would make it to the finale this season I wouldn't call it as luck honestly. It is the truth that there have been some matches in the Premier League in which Arsenal played badly but still won. However this is the Champions League we are talking about. There is no way a team reaching the finale by chance.

Arteta has built a really solid team with young players. Maybe there is some experience problem at this point but they are still able to stay strong most of the time. Besides some young players have already gained quite much experience which they can use it to be competitive in the Champions League too.
Arteta has build Arsenal to the extent that they are now one of the best teams in the Champions League this season.
I Know that Arsenal is not the favorite to win the Champions League, but almost all teams in the Champions League will be seeing Arsenal as a threat because they know that Arsenal is a team of young stars that are willing to win something for the team, therefore, if care is not taking, Arsenal will surprise people in this season's Champions League.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 21, 2023, 02:33:28 PM

The home advantage for Manchester city happens to be a major reason many people chooses them to be the favourite because they are really good at home games and have hardly lost at home this season, they have got a tactics that really does help them maintain their home stamina.
Manchester City have a bit home advantage due to their form performance this days, and due to the fact that they won their last two matches against Liverpool at Etihad stadium.

But considering playing without KDB, I am still hoping that Liverpool will take at least a point in the match because they are on form this season are willing to bring back their tight competition between them and Man City.

Pepe has can possibly get one of his defenders to be very mindful of Salah because he happens to be the major striker in Liverpool currently and if he is been covered to underperform, it would be a very big advantage on their side, I trust Manchester has got s fair defensive line so it wouldn't really be a problem, but then I saw some where, a speculation that haland may not be playing, if that be the case, they may really have a difficult time scoring as many goals as possible but then gardiola will always say he can always do it with or without anyone.
Haaland absent in Manchester City squad is another thing entirely, and will give Liverpool the chance to even win the match since Sallah, Darwin Nunez and other Liverpool players are fit.
Looking at the statistics and head to head between the two teams, Liverpool have the highest winning rate, and might win this match as well.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 21, 2023, 01:49:05 PM

As both Inter Milan and Juventus are strong and in good form. So I don't think the Juventus team can take much advantage at home. Because Juventus have won just one of their last four home matches  against Inter Milan. They lost both and drew the remaining one match. And therefore Juventus team cannot be called favorites only considering the home match. If Juventus want to win this match, Lautaro Martinez must be resisted. If Martinez performs well, Juventus' chances of winning or picking up points will decrease. It is not possible to select a favorite team in these matches. Both teams have equal chances of winning.
Yes, both Juventus and Inter Milan are on form and are among the favorites the win the Seria A title this season.

Juventus won two out of their last five matches, while Inter Milan just won their last match and drew drew a match before the one they won.

Juventus will have home advantage for this match and they will stand firm to win this match because they are looking for way to overtake Inter Milan to top the Seria A table because they are hoping to win the League since they are not playing in any European competition this season; if they win this match, they will have the chance of winning the League that is if their are able to sign more players in the January transfer window.

I have been following the EPL for a long time, even since I was a child. I have always seen that there are many players from the African continent who are successful in the EPL. They even set a goal record. There was Aiyegbeni Yakubu who scored 95 goals, then the successful one with Arsenal Adebayor with 97 goals. Then there's the fantastic Drogba with Chelsea. Then the only thing left is Salah with Liverpool. He became the heart of Liverpool's game. Other than that there's Mane, but he's already gone to the SPL. Maybe there will be a new star that will appear after Mohamed Salah.
African players are always doing well in Premier League, not just forward players but also midfielders especially defensive midfielders.

Players like Drogba, Adebayor, Yakubu Ayegbeni, Kanu, Jervinho, Pepe, Mane, Sallah and other African wingers that had a best playing time and good record in the EPL and they made Africa proud.
Midfielders like Yaya Tore, Patrick Viera, Song, Mickel Obi, Mickel Essien, and other quality midfielders also did well in the EPL history, and we have young midfielders like Thomas Partey, Moses Casdiedo, and other young midfielders are still doing great in the EPL, and I am sure other African players will keep coming to the EPL to keep making the League more competative.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: November 20, 2023, 09:55:03 PM
I can see Bruno fernandez leaving Manchester United, he is a key player but also is a conflictive one, so maybe and with not so good reasults Ten Hag (if he remain in the charge) allows him to leave into saudi league. Asides of that for me this is gonna beon the summer market.
Bruno Fernandes has given a response about the rumor. He never said it was valid news, he said it was a rumor and didn't want to pay attention the rumor. I think we can conclude that Bruno Fernandes has no plan to leave Man United, he is happy in Man United. We know that Bruno Fernandes has a big role, he is Man United captain and his role is irreplaceable. With this condition, there is no reason that Bruno Fernandes should move to Saudi League. I can say it is fake news, dude!!

https://www.insidesport.in/bruno-fernandes-responds-to-rumours-of-saudi-pro-league-move-in-near-future/

From all indications and from this statement, the Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandez is happy at Manchester United because if he leaves for Saudi Pro League he will be less relevant in football history; and this is his main time to make history in his football career at Manchester United and other teams that will come for him letter in the future because he is a player with quality that almost all teams need.

Arsenal Thomas Partey might join either Al-Etifaq or Al-Ahli during the January transfer window because these two teams including Juventus are showing interest in the player, and I am very hopeful that any of these two teams will get him because Juventus is offering a loan bid, and we all know that Saudi Arabian teams will pay more than them.
588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some traps to avoid in bullrun. on: November 20, 2023, 03:22:17 PM

1.Invest in what you can afford to lose: I have read this line many times inside this forum and outside this forum that are crypto related discussion and what they tell you about crypto investment is to invest with the amount you can afford to lose to avoid had I know and regrets that later.

In the last bull run, some people commit suicide when they loss their funds and when some of them where victim of scams. It's advisable to invest in the amount you know it will not hurt you if anything should happen in the end, always consider this before you take that money to any coin.
This advice mostly been given in the forum always if not everyday, but newbies tends to keep ignoring the advice and do what they want.

I know that the green and sign of bull run will trigger some people to risk some money that is nit even theirs to invest in bitcoin and other coins thinking that it will give more profit since it is the bull run season; the risk always remain the same because we can never predict market direction that is why you should always invest the little you have and be patient.

4.Be prepared for the worst and hope for the best:
These are powerful advices and a reminder for us all because scam will be rampant now that almost everybody is claiming to be a bitcoin or crypto investor.
If we avoid been greedy, we will be safe from most of the scams, and lastly, we should learn to e our own bank.
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what and which are custodial and non custodial wallets. on: November 20, 2023, 03:06:25 PM
Everyone needs to use different types of wallets to work with cryptocurrencies. Wallets are definitely needed to work in crypto. Generally we understand a wallet as a thing that stores all the savings of our daily life. By my question everyone will understand what I mean, what and which are custodial and non custodial wallets.

Just as the word implies; custodial and non custodial wallets; the two are both wallets but have opposite functions.

In custodial wallets, the company or third party that own the wallets control your Bitcoin, while
In Non custodial wallets, you are your own bank, you own and control your wallet security (private key) which means you are the person controlling your bitcoin.

Advisably, for security and privacy, use an open source non custodial wallets to keep your bitcoin safe.
590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid sending your BTC to the same wallet its coming out of - Quick reminder on: November 20, 2023, 02:48:19 PM

This is helpful, but it could become stressful because the person needs to input each alphabet and letter individually. It won't be practical for multiple or bulk sending. In my opinion, it's better to compile all addresses in a spreadsheet. Then, whenever you want to send, you can simply go there, copy, cross-check, and send without having to type all the time.
I think inputting the letters manually is not also advisable because you can make errors while inputting the address.

The use of QR Code is probably the best way to get the right address without too much error or been affected by malware; but using copy and paste method is also good and common among us, you just need to be very careful and double check the address you copy and pasted before processing the transaction to avoid sending bitcoin to a scammer address that might have been in your device due to malware virus.

Always make sure your device is clean and free from viruses of any kind.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 17, 2023, 08:35:23 AM

The first defeat that Tottenham suffered this season was from Chelsea because of two red cards that their players received. Cristian Romero is famous for playing quite hard so it is not uncommon for bettors to bet on him to get a card, and with only 9 players playing, Chelsea is the team that has the advantage because after the second red card Chelsea managed to score 3 goals against Tottenham, and when they suffered the defeat against Wolves it was the most surprising thing and the factor of several core players not being able to play was also one of the causes of these two defeats.
Unfortunately, in the next four matches, Tottenham will face 3 quite tough matches so it is very possible that we will see them decline further, so competition will return between Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool and we see Tottenham as a team that will no longer be consistent unless they can quickly recover from these two consecutive defeats
Yes, even without the red cards, the Tottenham team will drop some points when they start to face big teams like Manchester City, Chelsea, and others. We can see their performance in their matches against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea; this clearly shows that they cannot comfortably compete for the league title with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal because just small injuries and red cards made them lose a match against Wolves, which means that their bench is not strong enough to hold the team when their key players are absent.
592  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Ontop the matter of Bitcoin fee on: November 17, 2023, 08:14:59 AM

For consolidation, people can wait and let the mempool to become less congested. 2 to 4 sat/vbyte is still possible.

Another solution is the use of lightning network.

Side chains would have been better, but they are not bitcoin but altcoins.
Is it possible for the network congestion to come back to 2 -4 sat/vbyte soon?

This days I have been monitoring mempool.space, but the transaction fee keep mounting up, I don't even know when it will come this low because if you have small BTC to send out from your external wallet, the network fee do require 5-9$ which is very very high for small people like us that will transact less than $100 BTC.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: November 17, 2023, 08:06:54 AM
As an investor, i bought so many exchange based tokens! Bnb, uniswap, kucoin (kcs), cake, houbi (ht),  FTP and so on. Undoubtedly those exchangers are so big and reputable. I though those altcoins will pump if exchange get larger during time and if exchange add more pair with their altcoin on their platform, then price will boom but most of those are like shitcoin, dumped 70-80℅ in long run except bnb. So what do you think? I'm no longer going to invest any exchange coin anymore!
I also like investing on exchange based tokens but mainly for reputable and popular exchanges like Binance, KuCoin,, and Cake. I know that it is very risky because they are all centralized, and the case of FTX is a lesson to us all in crypto space, but I take them as my second choice investment after bitcoin because just as you said, some of them dumped 70-80% of their ATH.
594  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid trading crypto in real person. You can see this now on Binance. on: November 16, 2023, 03:00:58 PM
There are risks, no doubt.  But steering clear of it completely seems kinda extreme.  There's ways to play it safer if you wanna meet up for a trade.

For starters, pick spots with a buncha people around.  Public places with tons of foot traffic keeps things less shady and  bringing a buddy or two makes sense too.  More eyes watching out is smart. Schedule meets during the day when you can see better.  When it's light out, public areas tend to be chillier.  Oh, and let someone know the plan - where you're heading and when you think youll be back.  Just a basic precaution.

So yeah, with some smart moves, in-person crypto trading doesn't have to be so risky.  You can take steps to avoid problems going down.

All these cautions just because I want to trade cryptocurrency with a vendor through exchange? This is too much mate and it is not safe at all, in d=fact it will cost some money if you really want to see person in a public place, and your privacy is not there anymore. The best thing is to keep doing the normal p2p trading in the exchange and maintain your privacy with your fellow trader. Or if possible avoid KYC exchanges and trade in none KYC exchanges.
595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and War Crimes? on: November 16, 2023, 02:35:35 PM
Crypto is a stock market and also it can be affected by some wars and pandemic like situations. So I will say that Currently going wars with Gaza ( PALAESTINE) and Israel War. In long term situation and as there are high chances of spreading of war to whole middle eat. Will bitcoin market go on crash mood because last time was coronavirus.
What are your thoughts?
I think that could be the reason of crash.
Since you understand that bitcoin is not a stock investment as a result of that the price will not be fully affected due to war.

It also depend on the level of the places the war affected, if the war cover a wide range of places in the middle east, bitcoin investors might sell to buy or take care of their needs so if high number of bitcoin investors sell at once, it will definitely affect the market, but it will not much effect on the market the way it do during covid 19 pandemic, because covid covers the whole world and the virus is a deadly virus that is why many people sell their bitcoin then.
596  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the second most popular investment in "France" on: November 16, 2023, 12:49:03 PM

This Is probably a very good decision of young generation to adopt the cryptocurrency assets as part of investment. The propensity of cryptocurrency as an investment is increasing day by day. Well, i think those days are not so far when everybody will talk about "investment in cryptocurrency."

This is good statistics, and the percentage of the cryptocurrency investors is showing how interesting this generation about bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I hope most of them have knowledge and know the risks involves in cryptocurrency investment, because it is not a physical investment that will be seen and monitored physically.
I hope they are not driven by FOMO, all in the name of making a way to have quick money since so many people are saying that cryptocurrency investment can earn you money quick.

Altcoins are not reliable, I wish they invested most of their money in Bitcoin instead of altcoin that may fail anytime.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bull run best time to promote Bitcoin related affiliate programs? on: November 16, 2023, 12:30:59 PM
I feel that when Bitcoin is reaching peak prices, all news sites cover the news. As a result, lot of new users come to Bitcoin. As a result, this can be a good time to invest in promotion of crypto affiliate programs. The chances for conversions will be higher as Bitcoin popularity will already be in mind of people.
If you look at the bounty section, this is the right time for new developers to bring in different altcoin projects for advertisement in this forum because they know that this is one of the most influential cryptocurrency forums in the world. Some of the projects usually turn out to be scams because, just as developers are trying to get involved in the crypto space with their new amazing projects for the crypto world, scammers are also there, trying to use this time to cash out big through fake projects because they know that innocent newbies will be here to invest during this coming bull run. Good research is required before investing in any coin apart from bitcoin to avoid being scammed.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 15, 2023, 06:50:25 PM
A friend of mine is not interested in buying Bitcoin even after learning about it.
Because according to him Bitcoin is a small number of people who have a lot of Bitcoin. They can easily go down on the bitcoin market if they want to.
Example: Cz. Craig wright & Michel Sailor etc.

Looking forward to the well thought out opinion of the experienced in this regard.

Your have limited knowledge about Bitcoin that is why he thinks that it is only few people that hold bitcoin and they can let it down when they want which is very wrong.
Despite bitcoin been in a limited supply, it is a store of value and it is decentralize unlike altcoin.
If your friend said that Altcoin can go down if the investors decide to brings it down, I will agree 100% with his thoughts because they are centralized and can be tempered with through bankruptcy, emotions and others.
599  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallets on: November 15, 2023, 06:39:47 PM

Despite the thiefs efforts in selecting their target for kidnapping, they seem to have lacked the necessary knowledge to transfer the illegal funds effectively in the crypto space. But it is encouraging to know that some of the funds have already been frozen, which is a result of the authorities' swift action. Is the victim already safe?
Some of the victim's funds were already frozen in the wallets they sent them to, according to CZ's statement in the article, but the security of the victim is the question now. Since Binance was able to broadcast the news, it means that the client is safe, and Binance broadcasted the incident to them before they took action to freeze all the wallets the USDT was sent to. The challenge now is the safety of our funds in CEX. We no longer have control of our funds; in fact, our funds can also be frozen if care is not taken.
Let's just avoid CEX.

This na the main reason wey even the dollar and so many other fiat currency dey lose value too and na also
But I come see this official release say the new administration don EXTEND THE DEADLINE TILL FURTHER NOTICE so i say make I drop the matter here and many people fit go online see their selves and as we do am make we try relate on our experiences and impact wey this naira swap cause for our great country NIGERIA

This government feel say the hardship we don already de is much so if dem try that money nonsense e go spoil their name and reputation completely na why. And dem de feel say e no de necessary now especially as d Naira self no get value for global market, so instead wey dem go emphasize on the new notes, e go better make dem try see if dem go fit raise the value in the global market.

This is a good decision for the CBN and Mr President, but they need to work on the value of Naira and the country’s economy in general.
