how about you offer a throttle feature, so if i purchase a certain amount of share, i can set the max hashing power i want to spend at a time.

We're looking into it but it causes issues for our system to manage purchases if the users can adjust the speeds at will.  It's in the thinking bucket though.

Update:

We're no longer allowing purchases made that are pointed to a bithopper service.  If you have a current purchase pointed to a bithopper server it has been suspended.  Please change your pool to a real pool and we will enable it.

Once it is enabled again if you move it back to a bithopper server it will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.

Thanks,

really now?

They cause way too many stales/rejects and most of them can't handle the speeds we are sending them.  Which causes all those working on those shares to have connection issues.

Just lost my pool and worker info, and can't connect...

Yea, we found a bug.  Working on it now.

what's with all these restrictions? you can easily bypass them by making a proxy.

Go ahead and try it and see where you end up. Smiley

Any way you can make sure that I'm on the invite list?  michaelmclees at gmail dot com?  I registered a while back but haven't got an invite.  And if I request and invite now I get an error.

Yes you are on the list.  You should be in today or tomorrows batch.
587  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: January 31, 2012, 04:12:16 PM
This could have been an issue with a pool that we had causing issues on the server.  It should be corrected now.

Is anyone getting any public work? i set my payout to 0.00004 but still nothing Sad
Hey, the website is really lagging for me, anything wrong?
works fine for me.

We'll start on today's batch of orders shorty. FWI, if you stop getting work its because we're not processing orders either because we're updating the site or asleep. Until we feel comfortable enough to let it process orders on its own we'll have breaks when we're asleep.

Warning

Anyone caught doing the following with GPUMAX purchases will forfeit their payment, have their account deleted and IP banned from using our service.

  • Creating a purchase that redirects to a worker on GPUMAX. (Infinite Loop)
  • Creating a purchase that works on a forked Bitcoin block chain.

Our system monitors many security related functions as well as attempts to defraud Bitcoin or our system.  Consider this your warning if you decide you want to "test" our system.

That's all for now.
599  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: January 29, 2012, 04:10:54 PM
When trying to add a worker, nothing happens at all.

When trying to add a pool, this happens. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25848420/gpumaxerror.png

Looks like your url is not right.

Should look like one of these:

http://us.ozco.in:8332
http://test.ozco.in:8332
http://test.ozco.in:80

Let me know if that works.
600  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitscalper.com Threat Level on: January 29, 2012, 03:41:42 PM
I'd just like to mention that I spoke with bitscalper in #bitcoin-otc and publicly offered him 100 BTC for proof that the system was real and I was able to confirm trades made by it on the exchanges.  Not even asking to see the code just proof that its really doing what he says the site does to scalp the market.  He agreed and said he would come back the next day to setup a screen-cast.

He has since been MIA from IRC, without even an attempted to contact me.
