581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 Question on: March 29, 2020, 02:17:16 PM
Coronavirus keeps getting outta hands in countries like Italy and France and others, things keep getting worse with the disease every day but I surprised me is the affectionate to crypto, it seems to stop affecting crypto already what do you think?
Maybe it’s no longer affecting cryptocurrency, but I can’t really tell if that’s right or not, I am just happy that the price of Bitcoin has recovered and going up, currently above $6100.

We all know for sure that Coronavirus is not the only thing that caused the Bitcoin price to fall, there are lots of things that have led to this decrease in price, but they are all in the past now except this Covid-19 which I strongly pray everyday that it ends, I just don’t understand what kind of devilish disease is this really hope that it stops once and for all.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are your safe haven now? on: March 29, 2020, 01:32:11 PM
I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..
BAT? You mean Basic Attention Token? I also invested in BAT. I don’t think any coin in the market now is worth more than its price in the last one month, even there is they will just be a few of them. BAT price plummeted to 0.09 USD and has moved up to 0.14+ USD as of recent that the market has been recovering.

Bitcoin has been my safe haven right from time, I don’t think there is anytime I don’t invest in bitcoin, more than 50% of my investments goes to Bitcoin and to me it’s really good choice more than others. Other altcoins I have invested in Litecoin, BCH, Kyber Network, and Ripple.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl altcoins or..? on: March 29, 2020, 12:19:47 PM
Which altcoins are you hodling?

I didn't sell any altcoins that I'm holding lately (i probably should), however, is it a smart idea to buy them now or wait a bit more?

What are you holding? and what will you do?
That depends... on which coins you are holding. It’s not every altcoin that’s going to be profitable, some of them are going to still fall even after now. So, if you’re going to be holding coins for a long time you should be considering the top coins. Ethereum might be a good choice, not minding that some have been saying that it has a scaling problem. Then most of these top hundred coins are also a good choice.

Other coins you should invest in are Bitcoin Cash, 0x token, XRP, Augur, etc. Mentioned Augur because it has been going up like mad recently, had up to 16% increase today.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 29, 2020, 10:26:45 AM
Yep a lot of people are going through losses due to this pandemic that has taken the world all of a sudden.

There are lots of businesses and stocks that has been affected and the one that has frequently been on the news ever since this outbreak is the Dow Jones. Apart from that we have others like Tesla Inc., DAX, S&P 500 index, Nasdaq and so many of them has been affected by the corona virus.

A lot event’s has stopped till next year, there are no more gatherings and musicians are no longer going on tours, and so many other things has been shut down completely.
585  Economy / Economics / Re: a disease or a virus or is there business in it? on: March 28, 2020, 04:44:03 PM
Is there any chance that when the corona virus appears, some scientists have discovered the antidote of the virus itself so that there is an element of intention regarding the spread of the corona virus because there is a business element in it so that the antidote for the corona virus is sought after by many people, this is like a film about spreading viruses that can kill and destroy the economy globally. what do you think about this?
I don’t ready know anything about this, except that it is a virus that started in China and then spreading throughout the world. I don’t know if there is any cure for it or not, though there’s been some people around where I live saying that there has been a book that predicted this kind of an outbreak, but I’m not going to start saying that here now, it’s not really something that I like to say lol.

But anyway, if there is truly any cure for it I believe that it would have been out by now. There is no cure yet, except that there are vaccines that are being tested and they have said it will cure the symptoms, and this vaccine is not coming out any time soon.
586  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: March 28, 2020, 02:06:32 PM
I don’t believe that this virus is going to stay till next year if we do the right thing that we are supposed to do. It will only stay for long if we don’t do the right things that we are meant to do, like quarantining those that are infected and staying indoors to protect ourselves ; we are doing these things already and I believe that soon this covid-19 will be over. I strongly believe that bitcoin is not going to fall again.

But in a situation where this continues, it might affect bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency – reason being that a lot of people will be selling their assets and converting to fiat to be able to handle their responsibilities and other things that they are meant to be.
587  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like.. on: March 28, 2020, 12:35:34 PM
If bitcoin is made for times like these why is everyone selling at a time like this?
China quarantined fiat FFS.
This tells me 100% BTC is only a financial purpose and not a practical purpose overall.

Just venting a little. This selloff is nuts.
I don’t know where you read or heard that from, but just know that some bitcoin fans can say anything just to convince you about Bitcoin. I am not saying this to discourage you from investing in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is good, but there are people who tend to exaggerate things so it seems more than what it really is. Bitcoin makes transaction easier for you by making things cheap and fast.

Anyone who is telling you that bitcoin is going to save your ass from a situation like this, well, it’s up to you whether you want to believe them or not, but left to me I would say that you shouldn’t.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is fake shit on: March 28, 2020, 08:06:51 AM
Hey, are you referring trading exchanges or you mean ICOs? If you mean ICOs, well they are just projects and as usual there will always be scammers and there is nothing you can do about it in this community, you can only guide yourself and avoid them as much as possible by being able to identify the right projects and the ones that are fake. Then if you’re referring to exchanges like Binance, then I believe you’re wrong.

Just like when I was an options trader, there are lots of people who kept saying that option trading platforms are scammers, but the truth was that they are the ones who don’t know how to trade. That’s why I keep telling people that if they don’t know how to trade, they should stay clear from it, unless they just want to be losing their money.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH might go down below 80$ on: March 28, 2020, 07:33:37 AM
It didn't I get it but this was the scare that caused it to go down in the first place. Right now, it is like 140 bucks or something last I checked and it could have been higher if there wasn't a scare that it would go down under 80 dollars.

What people are forgetting that when you fear that ethereum will go under 80 dollars, even if it doesn't go under 80 dollars, it goes down a bit, right now we have seen the worst at around 110 bucks or something, I guess 105 if I am not wrong, which means that we are actually not doing all that well going from 110 to 140 dollars, we could have been better if we weren't scared that the price could go down. Hopefully the price will recover and go above 200 dollars, we tried really hard to go above 200 bucks this year, I don't want all of that to be for nothing.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run top 5 Alts for 2020. on: March 28, 2020, 07:03:36 AM
Steem was definitely one of the best ones so far, everything else was affected like crazy whereas steem both went up like crazy but even when it dropped it didn't dropped all that much so we can say that steem was the best out of all of them in 2020. Maybe in the future it will not continue to be this great, maybe in the future it will drop or not go up while others go up so we can't really say that in ALL of 2020 because we are in just march so far and going into April.

We can also say that the reason why steem was affected so much was the take over, they had buy all of the steem they needed for a lot and that caused the price to change like hell, so we can't say that it was a sustainable increase neither I suppose. Long story short steem was the best one but that is just so far.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 27, 2020, 08:06:11 PM
LOL you must be kidding me Grin. How do you say that bounty hunters are the ones that value the cryptocurrencies more than the investors. They all value cryptocurrency, that’s true, but I think that investors are the ones that value the cryptocurrencies more than the bounty hunters. The hunters are workforces that are hired by the devs of the cryptocurrency project and the work of these bounty hunters is to promote the cryptocurrency so as to gain investors.

Bounty hunters already have a job they are doing, which is to promote cryptocurrency and get paid, then if they happen to be interested in the cryptocurrency, they can decide to store it instead of selling it and converting to another one. Investors value the project more because they only saw it and developed interest in it, that’s what prompted them to invest.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 27, 2020, 07:22:32 PM
I guess that overreacting should have been writing on the wall for the bear people. There has been so many times people called bitcoin dead; https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/ just look at this website and you will see that mainly mainstream places already called bitcoin dead so many times. The most recent one is from 4th of march calling bitcoin having no instinct value, considering people are the ones who gives it a value, I could say the same thing for Venezuela money as well, but I am not, why?

Because, there was a government behind it, does that really mean something important? Do you really think Zimbabwe dollar has more value because it has a government behind it and bitcoin is valueless because it has no government? Bitcoin is not dead, it will not die, not now, not ever, get used it.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC + Corona on: March 27, 2020, 05:33:54 PM
I think people already have their attention drawn to Bitcoin with this heavy fall that has happened and also with the bad news that are being carried around by the media.

Just relax and see the kind of wave BTC is going to create when the price starts to increase as the next bull run kicks in. People have their attention on Bitcoin now and they will all be interested in knowing what happens with Bitcoin after this heavy fall that we have seen. But, I know for sure that those that wants Bitcoin to fail this year are going to be disappointed at the end.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold quickly becoming more scarce. Which will be worth more, Bitcoin or Gold? on: March 27, 2020, 03:50:15 PM
There is no need to be comparing the both of them, they are definitely going to do well in the next one year. The world market has been down and there has also been a lot of panic selling in the cryptocurrency market and we all know that’s it’s due to the Coronavirus pandemic and some other underlying circumstances.

The price of gold earlier this month was below 50,000 USD/kg ($47,000), but after some days the price has climbed up to 52,000 USD/kg (around $1,600 per oz). That’s the same thing with Bitcoin; earlier this month the price of Bitcoin was as low as $4000, even below that, but recently it bounced back to 6,600 USD. So they will all recover, there’s no need for comparing the both of them.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to everyone today on: March 27, 2020, 03:18:09 PM
I still think that by this summer corona will be over and halving will take into affect. You shouldn't worried right now if you are taking your precautions, just stay at home, try to find a good book, a great TV series to binge watch or find a good game to play and all of that, if you need something free just use torrents and you can find almost all of them there as well for free, so just spend some good time as much as you can.

After all of this is over, if you still didn't sold your bitcoins you will definitely reach to a point where bitcoin will start to go back up, if you can hold until then (lets be honest many can't because of financial troubles) you will definitely make a great profit, a lot of profit, bitcoin will be over 10k for sure and you will get 50%-60% profits.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: March 27, 2020, 02:35:55 PM
Many people have struck bad with Nano I suppose, I can't be the only one. It is sad that is always going worse and worse, there is no recovery for Nano as it seems, I would love it if there was a chance it could recover but many of us bought it at 5+ dollars and even 10+ dollar levels, now it is not even a dollar, it is really sad.

I wish I sold it earlier without waiting, I am one of those people who think all crypto will eventually go to a great length but unfortunately for me it is not doing all that well and being a bull for a coin rarely ever works if it is down so much and so frequently. One day I will get out of it and go to another one, because I still think Nano is a cool coin but it is not really going to go back up to those levels by the looks of it.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers? on: March 27, 2020, 01:59:25 PM
I assume ethereum like all others. Ethereum has a proof of stake hard fork coming in and everyone has been waiting for it. I guess this corona virus postponed that even later, everyone was expecting that first in early 2020 but that didn't happened and got postponed, the realistic was getting it in 2021 early like January or February but with this that might have been postponed as well.

Now the realistic one is probably 2021 summer and I know that sounds like a long time to go and that make you question if it is a good idea to get in this early. However if you go into ethereum right now during corona and before halving when all is low, and you get out after the proof of stake and very high, you will easily x3 your profit and even some more if I am not wrong.
598  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to see another PANIC on: March 24, 2020, 05:26:23 PM
It will take a lot to see another panic, we have seen bitcoin price go below 4k and jump back, that gave people some sort of confidence in bitcoin, it made people realize that whales will not let it go down under 4k that easily, it will take a lot to make it go down that much, that is why we are seeing all of this going up right now, people realized that it won't go down too much so they are more brave about buying, they think the worst thing that could happen is they will wait a bit but will get that profit no matter what, that is why there is so many tries above 6k in the past 10 days.

Long story short we are not seeing any more panic, could it happen? Sure. But at the same time it is quite improbable to happen and that is why I am saying so clearly that it will not happen.
599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall bellow 3000$ and Gold price will increase? on: March 24, 2020, 02:15:29 PM
Looks like bitcoin is solid, it is trying to beyond 7k and stay there, sure it had some drops again but it is at least on bull stage. Do not forget that whenever bitcoin tries to go up it will eventually achieve it unless something major happens, there is already something major going on right now and I doubt anything could be worse than corona right now, what will happen a huge asteroid hitting the world and destroying all life?

Because, that is literally the only thing left right now that could be shocking. Gold on the other hand will recover a little bit better, it is a lot more known by many people and it is even used for stuff, like gold rings for example, bitcoin is not a physical thing that you can use like that. It already started to recover a bit but not quite there yet, just like bitcoin, so I assume both will go up together.
600  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is everyone expecting continuous growth? on: March 24, 2020, 01:36:52 PM
Because it's sweet! Everyone loves the growth of their investment, so, when they see a good uptrend in the crypto market, they start making more big plan without thinking about down! And when the dump happens, they start feeling panic! But we shouldn't forget that everything has ups and downs, so, you can't expect only growth,!
And this also has to do with the past trends and since bitcoins has always been increasing exponentially that is why people are more optimistic and hopeful because if you look at stocks people are absolutely fine with the up and downs and life goes on, but when you are purchasing an asset that is new to you then you certainly expect higher profits and panic quickly if it goes the wrong way.

The identity problem is one reason why crypto traders panic too early because there is nothing to do if what you hold becomes dust next morning you wake up and this insecure feeling makes most traders sell off once they see a trend of downfall. Even when I was new I used to sweat looking at these kind of charts but with time, I have learned that this is just the nature of the crypto market, high profits and hence chances of big loss.
