581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STO vs ICO! What is the main difference? on: March 10, 2019, 02:29:37 PM
The main difference about ICO and STO is the type of the coin / tokens they released.
ICO usually creates the utility type token for their platform, it can be used by their product ecosystem later.
STO creates the security token, so the investors can get the profit share of the company.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think mining is still fair on: March 10, 2019, 02:20:44 PM
In Q3 2018 market is still a blood bath. A lot of people that involved in crypto losing theirs hopes on a quick moon. ICO market is down. But difficulty of mining is growing up. We need more powerful processors, GPU and so on. Mining was created to give ordinary people get some free coins. Another hand big companies joint into monster to dig more digital gold. Simple person is out of this business. To support a node of ethereum you need more space every month and you get no reward. Do you think its fair enough or we need some new architecture to give mining a new life?

Mining coins nowadays seems not too profitable anymore because the cryptocurrency market has not recovered from the bearish market.
What makes i wonder, the difficulty of mining is not decreasing too much. If many miners stop mining coin because the price is bad,
the difficulty of mining should decreasing significantly. I guess there are many miners who want to keep mining despite the low profit.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best ethereum wallet mobile? on: March 09, 2019, 01:14:11 PM
Hello community I want to use bitrefill to pay a service that is too cheap, so I want to know which is the best ethereum mobile wallet to send my payment to this platform.

Note: I have an Android device I would prefer an app for android that includes only fees by GWEI, I would be too grateful for knowing your opinion.

What ethereum mobile wallet do you use?

Hello friend, i think you can use several wallets in your mobile phone such as Coinbase, Freewallet.org, ImToken, etc.
Just search ethereum wallet in the playstore if you using Android, and choose the most reliable wallet.
Using mobile wallet is very convenient, you can send coins anywhere and anytime only using your phone.
584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency trading pairs — how it works on: March 08, 2019, 03:02:19 AM

Buying and selling cryptocurrency involves trading pairs. To become successful at trading, you have to understand how trading pairs work since they are the starting point of any cryptocurrency trading process.

What is a trading pair?
The term trading pair describes the exchange of one cryptocurrency for another. The starting point for every crypto trading newbie will be to buy base cryptocurrencies, the most popular of which are Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. This step is necessary as you can only buy other cryptocurrencies, or altcoins, with base currency on the exchange. With BTC, ETH, or LTC in your wallet, you can proceed to establish a trading pair of your liking.

How does it work?
The relationship of trading pairs mimics a commensalistic relationship as the rise and decline of one currency does indirectly impact the other. For instance, if Litecoin goes up 10% while Dash stays the same in a trading pair of Litecoin/Dash, then your Litecoin will buy some more Dash than before, depending on their ratio.

To successfully manage trading pairs, you need to closely follow the value of the base coins (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin) in your domestic fiat currency. Additionally, you have to monitor the changing value of coins that you own, as essentially the main purpose of valuing your coins in base currency is to increase the value and number of the coins you hold. Click here to check our guide on the altcoins that perform well despite the bear market!

It is a good article for one who want to start trading cryptocurrency in the market.
Well, if we talk about buying and selling cryptocurrency, the first thing to do is choosing the right exchange.
After that, you need to choose what trading pair you will use to trading in the exchange.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Came Back After a Year on: March 07, 2019, 01:27:42 PM
Hey, Guys, I am jak3, I came back after 1year. (i barely visited this forum in this 1year) but I remember when I left this forum there was a lot of bitcoin campaigns and a lot of discussion topics. But nowadays people are only talking about altcoins. Can you guys tell me what I am missing till now or what exactly did happen under this 1year? I do have some idea about merits thought. Hope I can get a grip back into the discussions.

Hi jak3, yes it is. The forum has more altcoin discussion than bitcoin, but bitcoin value is still on the top, no lower than any altcoins at all.
I think it is because the market which have not recovering from the bearish situation from last year.
If the market in the bullish situation, i guess there will be many discussions about altcoins and bitcoin as well in this forum.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting ETH on: March 07, 2019, 01:15:51 PM
I find it interesting that ETH price started going up weeks prior to hard fork after the hard fork it looks to be consolidating and now moving back up again. what could be the factors to this price movement? I like it though, very good for quick trades.

Anybody notice a change in performance or speed of ETH? I have not move any of my ETH so far, I really can't tell yet.

ETH price was rising above $160 but there was correction later. I think it is because the Ethereum block reward has been halved.
The miners who mines ETH will get lesser reward, therefore the price will increasing.
But today, the ETH price seems like not different from before. There are some movements price, but not significant.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding multiple altcoins on: March 06, 2019, 04:57:43 AM
Many of us prefer to hold multiple kind of coins. What do you prefer: holding it in a sigle kind of wallet or have it on a different kind of wallet?

Personally, I prefer to store in an opensource multi wallet that support all my preferred coin and even ERC20 token, its the only opensource multiwallet available called Hodler and so far I find it good. Do you think, this is really good idea?

If we still uncertain about what altcoins we will hold, then we may hold multiple altcoins in our possession.
Unless we know very well the future of our coin, we cannot hold only a single altcoin.
We must diversify our investment, so we won't having a big loss later if our coin price free falling.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to send all ETH tokens at once? on: March 06, 2019, 04:51:30 AM
I have an ETH wallet and there are many tokens in there. At least 20 erc20 tokens.
Simple question.
Is there a way to send all ERC20 tokens in one transaction to another ETH adress?

February 23, 2019 Edit
Here's the answer I've been waiting for.

There is a way. But you probably won't like him. You need to write a contract that will make the operation you are interested in.
If you are interested in how to do this, you can see, for example, here: https://medium.com/coinmonks/build-a-smart-contract-that-transfers-erc20-token-from-your-wallet-to-other-addresses-or-erc20-ee8dc35f40f6
But in your case, it is better to do several transactions manually. Not so many tokens you have.

Everyone says it can't be done. I know we can't. The purpose of opening this thread was to see such new ideas. Thank you for your attention.

Hmm, it is a good idea to find a way for sending multiple tokens in one transaction.
Because you can reduce the gas fee if you only send it in a single transaction.
If you have 20 tokens, you supposed to send them with 20x gas fee. But with single transaction, it means you only use 20x less gas fee, smart.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find out where to sell your coins. on: March 05, 2019, 01:58:50 PM
Hello. Surely many of you suffer from the fact that it is difficult to understand which of your little popular tokens are traded on decentralized exchanges.
However, now there is a convenient way without unnecessary problems.
Enter your wallet number and select the exchanges you are interested in.
The list has: EtherDelta (ForkDelta), IDEX, Token store, Switcheo, Joyso, Enclaves, SingularX, EtherC, Decentrex, DEXY.

Here the link:
https://deltabalances.github.io

Hi, actually you can check where is your token being trade in etherscan.io website.
You just need to know your token contract address, and search for it, and make sure the token address is the correct one.
Look at the DEX Trades tab, and there will be some exchanges name on the list.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you comfort yourself after receiving token from the bounty program? on: March 04, 2019, 02:15:59 AM
In this difficult market, the value of tokens is reduced very low.
So, how do you console yourself?

I first:
I calculated the number of tokens I received, then multiplied by the ICO price, followed by multiplying it by the current ETH price.
As a result, I received the corresponding ETH.
I took the ETH multiplied peak rates ($1500- 2017) And I told myself if ETH peaks (2017), I will get a lot of $. Haha!

For example:
I received 1000 ABC token.
ABC token ico price: 0.2$
Total received: 1000 * 0.2$ = 200$
Current ETH price: 150$
So I will receive: 200/150 = 1.33E
If ETH = $1500 is like 2017, I will have 2000$. Smiley)

LOL, if you looking in that way, indeed it will comfort you.
In this bearish market, it is sad that the price of most tokens in ICO are falling to the bottom.
But if i receive some tokens in the future, i won't sell it in this price if i know the ICO company still developing its products.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: March 04, 2019, 02:02:14 AM
I bet we will see better and baddass projects in 2020 simply because bitcoin halving is 2020 ,since what most devs care about is market condition and fear of dumping there tokens 2020 will be a better target for upcoming projects  and that doesn't mean there won't be scam projects too ,profits is all we care about isn't it?

When bitcoin halving in 2020, it will affecting the price of the coin surely. But why do you think 2020 is the best year for ICO ?
I think scammers will keep creating scam projects to steal people's money. But we won't fall for it if we stay alert.
2018 was not good, and there is no bull run since that time. I believe there will be a green market again, but we don't know when.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not asking for the best altcoin investment, but....... on: March 03, 2019, 02:35:20 PM
I currently hold some very good coins and made a fortune in 2017 but lost most of it due to the crypto winter... But... now is a great time to stocktake and fill up on more good coins !

My question is.. what's your coin of choice that was very high in price back in 2017 (compared to now) that is most likely to to see massive gains again when the Bitcoin bulls return again soon? I recall BCH doing quite well compared to its current price, for example..

I guess not only you, it happened to all of us who bought crypto from 2017 when the market was very green and bullish.
From my opinion, LTC is a good coin to hold. Although the price of LTC now is not high as in 2017, but it has surpassed many altcoins rank above it.
So, it will be best to hold LTC for long time i think.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople/St. Petersburg Upgrade Announcement on: February 28, 2019, 01:52:39 AM
Well, finally the network upgrade of Ethereum will going to be done soon.
It should only one upgrade, Constantinople fork. It is because the previous fork has been delayed, so there will be 2, Constantinople and St Petersburg.
I hope Ethereum will be better in the future with the developments created by their devs.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawal Issues, KYC/AML and cryptocurrency exchange regulations in 2019 on: February 26, 2019, 02:04:14 AM
Yes, most exchange will requiring the users to do some KYC procedure to withdraw a certain amount of assets.
It is because exchange want to maximize their security by limiting the unverified account because it could be hackers, scammers, etc.
For me, it is not a problem if big exchange want me to submit kyc documents if i want to withdraw my coins.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better- peer to peer centralized exchange or decentralized exchange ? on: February 26, 2019, 01:53:12 AM
The question is as simple as the title is. What do you guys think is better between a decentralized exchange(Eg: IDEX) and a centralized exchange which has a peer to peer network (Eg: WazirX)
Comment your thoughts and also suggestions if something is better than these.

I have never heard of p2p centralized exchange, but i know many p2p decentralized exchanges.
I think p2p is more suitable for decentralized exchange. I prefer to using centralized exchange because the speed is good.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the fuzz all about? are ICO's/STO's any different? on: February 26, 2019, 01:44:16 AM
Well, actually ICO and STO are different. It is about the function of the token you will get.
In ICO, most of them are offering utility tokens so it can be used in their products or platforms.
But in STO, they offer security tokens, you don't need to use it to earn incomes, just hold it in your wallet.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How far will Litecoin go? on: February 25, 2019, 08:44:12 AM
Litecoin still has monumental potential when the fomo train departs again even though the investment is considered to be slow and stable. Litecoin is one of the best performing crypto assets.
The question is, how far will Litecoin go?

Litecoin can goes further, depends on the development of the litecoin achievements.
If the milestones of the project always achieved, then the coin can be used for its products and adopted by peoples.
This is of course the ultimate purpose of the coin, it has high value because real product usages.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are altcoins backed by? on: February 25, 2019, 08:28:08 AM
To explain more, for e.g., we hear that the USD was backed by the convertibility of this currency to precious metals until 1971. Now, what are altcoins backed by such as Ethereum or Litecoin? Are mathematical calculations performed by ASIC miners any useful in the real world?

I don't think altcoins are backed with something concrete physically, unlike real USD and other fiat currencies.
Although it is not backed by anything like precious metal, it has a high value because it is functioning like a normal currency, you can use it like money.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google keyboard with bitcoin symbol and ethereum on: February 25, 2019, 03:34:17 AM
this was a funny find where Google twitter handle says they don't believe in legality or long term viability of the altcoins such as ETH

And google says they only believe in bitcoin legality, but actually bitcoin is not legal yet in some countries.
ETH and bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency, i wonder why they don't believe ETH will be viable for long term.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: February 25, 2019, 03:17:48 AM
Today, the tether continues to print 250 million tether, raising the tether's market capitalization to more than $ 2.7 billion to reach the top 10 coinmarketcap. People say that every time a tether is printed, the bitcoin price increases because the tether pumped USDT onto the floor to push the bitcoin price. What do you think about this and keep the USDT safe?

Well, as long as you using USDT and able to withdraw it and turn into real USD, it is safe.
If you don't believe it, just don't store any USDT for long time in your wallet.
You can use USDT just for trading, buying or selling cryptocurrencies between exchanges.
