I thought I read a while back that HF and Cointerra were using the same chips.  Is that correct or did I miss-read something a while back?
582  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [28 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: November 04, 2013, 08:56:17 PM
One of our Jupiters is hashing well currently on P2Pool using the latest firmware.  We're going to leave it on there for twenty-four hours and if all is well put both on there.  Which should add ~1.1TH/s to the pool.

 Undecided Cry Shocked Sad

Hm, seems like this basically says "Game Over" for now.

I know, many don't like to here this, but maybe at some point the focus should be shifted from making a profit to give every Investor his money back = skip the bonus for all accounts. Or when an account is at 100% pause it until all current accounts had their original investments returned and then work off the bonus.  Undecided
+1

Or maybe force 90% of everyones bonuses into reinvestments into increasing hashrate?  With the 90% taken from the first and next payments.  I agree with what Pyra said that new hardware doesn't currently look profitable and these 90%'s should be saved up until February prices are announced.  Or possibly for an early day one pre-order of KNC generation two products which are due to start shipping in March/April.  Unless December KNC Jupiter prices announced at =<$2,000.  The 90% saved could be added to the depositors accounts but keep taking the 90% of the bonus again to add new cheaper hardware until better days.  Then the 90% taken from everyones bonus which is forced into new deposits could start be tapered off when things start to improve.
585  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin client with I2P patch on: October 27, 2013, 07:18:35 AM
You do not need to run patched bitcoind before bitcoin-qt. Bitcoin-qt should work immediately, if it doesn't then probably there is a bug. Under which OS do you have this problem?

Xubuntu, it does work maybe I didn't follow the OP's instructions correctly?
586  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin client with I2P patch on: October 25, 2013, 03:46:53 PM
I don't if it that I needed to restart the patched wallet a few times after a fresh install.  Or if I had to start the bitcoind patch first before starting the bitcoin-qt patch and getting it to connect to I2p peers only for the first time.  Or did I miss that in the OP instructions?
Sorry I don't quite understand. Please reword you message.

When you have just installed/run i2p, it may discard new connections while it's integrating in the network. If you have troubles, please describe step-by-step how can I reproduce it.

Sorry - I don't know if it that I needed to restart the patched wallet a few times after a fresh install.  Or if I had to start the bitcoind patch first before starting the bitcoin-qt patch and getting it to connect to I2p peers only for the first time.  Or did I miss that in the OP instructions? - it is working now but I don't know if that it just needed restarting a few times or if I needed to to run the bitcoind patch first before starting the bitcoin-qt patch and getting it to to connect to only I2p peers for the first time.

Our vendor has told us that the substrates — one of the final components in completing the chip module  — are going to take a more time than expected.  The good news is that the silicon, arguably the more complicated part of the design, is right on track.  Once the substrates arrive, we can place the silicon and finish production. Our updated estimate is that the rigs will begin shipping in mid-November.

And with that, all your customers just lost any possible chance of a positive ROI...

right if you payed in BTC.

otherwise not predictable or do you know the future price of BTC?

Well of course I want a return from the BTC I spent.  To all the people that say they are still gonna make a profit in $ because they paid in dollars, you have to understand that you would have made a greater profit had you just bough BTC instead of the miner.

$5600 = 60BTC when I bought my miner. Those 60 BTC I will never be able to recover.
Had I just held those 60BTC I would now have ~$12,000.

Going long is always the safest option while quite a few FPGA and ASIC companies have gone bust before shipping or delivered very late before in the past.  Look at how many bitcoins went on BFL gear last year.  This isn't the first and maybe not the last either that this has happened.
591  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: A progressive Bitcoin futures exchange: 796 Exchange on: October 23, 2013, 12:47:14 PM
www.RedStarMining.com - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63257.0 - Is now listed on 796.  We're hoping on raising our hashrate from the current 1.05TH and 7.5MH per share to 3.5TH and 25MH per share by next month.  Or saving up for KNC v2 announcement for delivery in March/April.  Bagging a day one KNC Jupiter really helped us and we may try to repeat this early next year on announcement of prices and pre-orders for KNC v2 devices.

We're trying to close the bidding within two hours at 00:00BST.  We have a buyer at $650 each and two other potential buyers at $700 and $750 each.  If they've not confirmed they will pay by the allocated time then the bidding will be closed if the $650 buyer pays immediately.

Considering they'll make over $100 each in the next seven days we will accept no bids under $700 each.  Otherwise we're much better off running them into the ground.  Yes difficulty rises are getting much larger but if you look at the last ninety days difficulty increase ratios are getting smaller.  Just like 200% rise of 50 is 100 and a 100% rise of 100 is 200.  So even the jump in the example was much bigger to 200 the rate of change is slowing.  You should factor that into to your profit calculations on them.  Plus bitcoin prices are rising and we accept USD and GBP bank transfers.

I think you need to work on making the wallet easier to install for newbies to attract more users.  Like a single Windows .exe or .deb for the whole wallet maybe with I2p combined too.
