Back up and running with the single. I got a decent quality PSU so hopefully it will hold up well for us.

I placed mine on a metal plate, pretty standalone, just in case it would catch fire there is not much wood or stuff to burn.

I had both the single and the psu sitting on bricks just in case. The basement is naturally quite cool even in the summertime and the temps were <60*C on the single with the psu being only slightly warm to the touch.

Mine died too and luckily it didn't burn up, just faded away a little more than 24hrs after as it was situated where I wanted it. I'll pick up a psu and have it running tomorrow as today was a holiday.

The biggest FUD of all time for wall observers. The price of bitcoin will remain flat.  Shocked

I suspect that there are Chinese who open an account at Huobi just for the pleasure of moving orders up and down the book, while carefully avoiding being caught by an actual trade.

Crazy, sounds kind of like opening a btctalk account to participate in a wall observer thread while carefully avoiding to actually make any trades.

Anybody see this on TV last night?  This guy has the right idea.

Ebay is big news. How many other retailers will jump on board after that endorsement?. That combined with the wave of atms, new exchanges, investment funds, investment into bitcoin business, etc. will make a big wave soon. It's only a matter of time.

Where's the news here? He said fuck all new from what he said year ago.

Last year he was kinda thinkin bout it, this year:

"When asked by a shareholder about bitcoin’s potential role in global trade, Donahoe responded by saying that the digital currency “will play a very important role in the future”, eCommerce Bytes reports.

While Donahoe said he couldn’t envision exactly how bitcoin could become a more mainstream technology, he suggested that eBay is considering direct involvement with the digital currency, saying:

“Exactly how that plays out, and how we can best take advantage of it and enable it with PayPal, that’s something we’re actively considering. It’s on our radar screen.”"  -Quoted from Coindesk article.

I don't think anyone compared bitcoin to the internet (the internet is a physical network of computers), but I have heard it compared to an internet protocol like tcp/ip.

Edit:  I do personally anticipate that bitcoin's impact will likely be as big if not bigger than that of the internet and it's past protocols even if they were necessary predecessors.

Haven't received the single yet but am expecting it today. I'll follow up as soon as it arrives.

EDIT: confirmed, it's waiting for me. I'll pick it up in a couple hours and have it hashing shortly afterward.

Not enough trains for a time like this...

Bitpay has huge announcement tomorrow, right after a large rally that breaks us out of the descending triangle (could be natural support, could be insider knowledge).

EITHER WAY, ALL ABOARD!!

No trains yet, we aren't ready for another month and a half.  Get 'em loaded up though.

Within a few days we'll be over 520.00  New highs on the mid term horizon.

PLEASE tell why you think so before even throwing out a number like that. Just as much as "5k next year" is stupid.

It's just my best guess. Call it intuition. It is just a stupid prediction based on pattern recognition and no where near as sophisticated as most of the TA guys here (although likely just as accurate). Don't trade based on my predictions please.

That's great. How about a custom glass piece with Nastyfans logo?

I am just going to view this bear phase as the accumulation phase...as that really seems to be underlying theme...

One does not simply blast off or choo choo mf without gathering fuel and laying some track.

Indeed
